Waitomo Glowworm Caves In A Private Small Group Tour-auckland.

Chris was our driver and he took very good care of us. My husband and I were the only two passengers so there was a lot of room in his large, clean and comfortable SUV. Chris made sure we knew what to expect at every step. On the way to the caves, we stopped at a pleasant cafe for a buffet lunch. We continued on to the caves, he made sure we joined the tour on time, then waited for us at the exit after our tour. (He doesn't go on the actual cave tour or into the cafe with you.) The glowworm caves were interesting but very dark, of course, and I got a little unnerved a couple of times at how dark it really was. But I did not get claustrophobic like I thought I might, and the group is fairly large and you all stick closely together. A guide accompanies you through the cave, providing commentary and eventually you all get into a small boat to see all the glowworms and it is required that you not make any noise while in the boat, lest you disturb the glowworms. Someone in our group forgot and started talking and was promptly reprimanded, but in a nice way. There is a gift shop at the end of the tour, as well as refreshment stands and restrooms. All in all, I'm glad we took the tour, and I would recommend going with this company, and particularly Chris, if you want to have a good experience without having to go on a bus or having to wait in long lines.

Chris was an amazing tour guide. Nice car. He gave an amazing summary of New Zealand’s History. He was knowledgeable about the tour and exuded friendless- that he enjoys what he does is obvious!

It was a great trip. We enjoyed seeing the glow worms and our driver Kris was amazing. Not only was he a good driver, but he also very nice and easy to talk to. When we headed back to Auckland he gave us suggestions of things to do based on what all we had talked about that we had already done in NZ. We took his suggestions and asked to be dropped off at Mt. Eden. Kris was right, very nice view and we got some nice pictures. Then we walked to the Winter Garden, which was another of his suggestions. Had a great day and would definitely book with him again if we are ever back in NZ.

Kris was very attentive and took good care of us. The caves were very interesting. Nice tour . The lunch was a buffet lunch and very tasty. Kris took us on a drive through the city too as we only had one day in port. Very nice trip

What an excellent tour , we chose a private tour with black car tours. The narrative of our guide was a constant companion as to the history of New Zealand with present day New Zealand as we were driven to the caves. The cave itself is surrounded by bushes and has underground streams, it was a starry experience as we glided in the boat amongst other tourists. Looking at the glowing tiny worms on the cave walls and roof. Awesome experience!

A great day filled with the Narrative of our tour guide/ driver as we were driven through the rolling hills and farmland of rural New Zealand in a black luxury Van, with a great selection of snacks and New Zealand Water. And then an awe inspiring experience. Impressed with the professional moving deliverance of the presentation our guide Shawnee shared with us at Waitomo Glowworm caves, with the tiny little light like experience of the Glowworms in their hundreds. These caves are absolutely stunning, the walls are white looks like snow and the stalactites and stalagmites are incredible. Seeing the glowworms from above on the boat ride in the darkness is simply incredible. Our tour became more interesting with the luxury of black cars and the informative driver/ guide, would recommend this Black Car Transfers and tours, awesome service.

The whole experience was fantastic! Black car transfers and tours was the way to go. The car was very nice, clean and a smooth ride. Kris, or driver and guide was great! He was very friendly, had a great conversation and he provided a lot of information on New Zealand, and other activities we can look into for the rest of our trip. Would definitely book another tour with Kris and black car. The caves were fascinating and the guides were knowledge and patient with all the guests. A must do day trip.

Glowworms cave are only found in NZ. the Waitomo are the highest recommended. A must see, well run and presentation was perfect. You must book early it is always full, do not miss out. Great private chauffeur to and from the pier is the perfect way to and from.

Our tour guide was “Cup of T” and he was so entertaining but knowledgeable! The caves are stunning…it’s truly a once in a lifetime experience to see the glowworms.

Kris was a wonderful guide. He picked us up from airport, took us to highlights of Auckland, then drove us to the glow worm caves. The ability to customize our day was great! He was very professional, but personal. The car was beautiful and stocked with water and snacks! I would highly recommend Kris for your guide!

Waitomo Glowworm tours was high on our bucket list during our visit to New Zealand. Kris, from Black Car Transfers and Tours, made the visit extra special. Due to a work conflict, my husband and I had to back out last minute but sent our two teenage sons on the tour without us. Kris made sure to communicate with us throughout the day. The highlight was hearing the excitement from the boys upon their return. Kris was very knowledgeable and provided them with New Zealand history and facts, answered all of their questions, and was an overall amazing tour guide. We would recommend this tour to anyone in town!

Our guide, Kruse, was fabulous. Completely tailored everything to us and made our day quite enjoyable. The stop at Hamilton Gardens on the return was wonderful and a great compliment to the caves.

Highly recommend using Kris for a private tour when visiting Auckland! My husband and I booked a tour to the glowworm caves and Rotorua and Kris provided an amazing experience. The drive to each is a couple hours, but it’s a pretty scenery and Kris was great to talk to! Pick up and drop off were super easy and he even provided snacks and water throughout the trip.

Great private tour with black car rentals. Kris flexed the schedule based on our needs which let us recover from jet lag before heading out for the day. Waitomo was incredible and our stop by Hamilton gardens was excellent.
