It was a very enjoyable trip. I particularly wish to give a big shout out to Oliver our driver, who was central to our enjoyment. He was patient, knowledgeable with a sense of humour that made the day
Our tour guide was excellent and gave us lots of interesting information about the island. He was very friendly & personable. We really enjoyed all of the wineries we visited, all with very nice views. Our lunch was wonderful and right across the street from a beautiful beach. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the acea!
Wonderful tour. Three different wineries. Great lunch. Tour guide excellent. Strongly recommend this tour.
First of all, our guide and driver Nooroa gave us an exceptional experience, with his warm and good humored manner, and his knowledge of Waiheke, and of New Zealand. The vineyards were exceptional as well. One Sommelier in particular, named Matisse presented an amusing and quite wide ranging lesson by way of comparing Bordeaux wines with the wines of New Zealand. Perfect way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Oh, and the wines were quite good.
We greatly enjoyed this tour! Our guide Debbie gave us several helpful tidbits along our journey. The sommeliers at each winery were very knowledgeable. Highly recommend if you make the trip to the island!
Was a well guided day out. Would recommend for others thinking of this tour
The tour is a must for visting Waiheke Island and the tour guide was the best of the trip. For really enjoying a tour you need a tour guide that brings the laughs, the funny comments and the interesting about the sites you are visiting.
The places listed aren’t what we visited exactly but the tour was great with our guide Debbie. The scenery was beautiful and worth every dime. The wines were ok but she saved the last winery for the last and it was the best. Waiheke is beautiful and this is a must. Lunch was ok but note we went to a different place than reviews say.
What an Amazing day.. Our tour guide, Caleb was very informative and made our day enjoyable. I totally recommend this tour, and would do it again.
Had a fabulous day with Caleb! We visited 3 wineries and had lunch at a beautiful beachside restaurant. The tour was efficient and well organised. We also learned about Waiheke Island on the drive between the different stops. Lunch at Three Seven Two was exquisite with an amazing view. The overall wine tour with lunch package was great value!
Our tour driver and host, Caleb, was fantastic! All vineyards/wineries had spectacular views and we learned an incredible amount about the local wines and production methods. The lunch at 372 was delicious! Do not miss this day trip!
Caleb was awesome, the winery spots were perfect and lunch was excellent. I’d highly recommend this experience
This is a must when you are in Auckland. I arrived from the USA around 6.00 am ans i was able to make the reservations. I didn't have any expectations but NZ wineries compete very well with others around the world. Looking forward to coming back soon.
All round a very nice experience on the wine tour, our host was friendly and prompt. The only disappointment was the lunch. They said it was a 3 course lunch, but in fact the starter was bread, and the other course other than the main was a glass of wine. So quite mis-leading. I do not recommend paying for the lunch.
Good day trying wines from Waiheke Island, Debbie was an awesome driver and guide, Lunch was amazig.
Tour guide was excellent. Lunch at 372 was super. Their venison and 372 pinot noir superb. Wineries wer just OK, and wines tasted so-so, lthough the Chardonnay at Cable Bay ws quite good and Burgundian. Wines—lower level— at Mud. Rick were a disappointment. Bordeaux blend “Larose” at Stony Ridge over priced.
What a fun day trip to Waiheke island! Plus WINE! Our guide, Oliver, was a blast! Very engaging and knowledgeable about Waiheke Island (as a resident himself!). Each winery we visited had excellent pours of wine and each offered a unique view of the island. Had a lovely lunch at 372 and great pours of wine. Highly recommend this for a day trip. Especially lovely when the weather is nice!
What a wonderful experience! This tour with our guide, Rob, was the perfect balance of scenery, winery, fun and relaxation. The included lunch was delicious and such a beautiful venue and each of the tastings felt very personal and knowledgeable. Very worthwhile trip to Waiheke, which is absolutely stunning and our guide made the experience even better!
Probably a little pricey considering that you also need to purchase the ferry tickets. The wineries that we visited were picturesque and full of information. Lunch was lovely at 372 Our guide Rob was great 10/10
We had such a great time on this tour! Our guide was Paolo (i know i didn’t spell that correctly - let’s say Paul). He provided all sorts of useful information about the island and its history. Lunch was fabulous! We also loved each winery, they all had their unique charms. The day flew by! I really appreciated that this was an afternoon tour as well.
Outstanding tour with Karen. Really enjoyed the wine food and experience. It was lovely to have information as we were touring around and nothing was too much trouble. I travelled on my own but it made no difference it was easy Thank you
This was a wonderful experience to begin our time in New Zealand. We were fortunate to have a beautiful sunny day and our tour guide was amazing. It was a relaxing and informative tour and lunch at the Three Seven Two was some of the best steak I've ever had. Very highly recommend :)
Had an awesome tour with Rob who was lots of fun, met some lovely people, went to 3 gorgeous wineries and had a delicious lunch. Value for money, well organised and enjoyed the drive around the Isand with spectacular views. Rob is also an excellent photographer FYI.
Our driver Caleb was fantastic, great information on the island as we drove to the vineyards and lunch. The lunch location was perfect both in terms of location and food quality. The three vineyards were all exceptional and memorable. Air group was all very international and congenial, highly recommend this trip!
Lovely day.... great lunch! Tour operator was from the island and had many stores to tell. Stayed late at last winery and took later ferry back to Auckland.
The bus was clean and very comfortable. The guide (Rotoroa?)was funny, engaging and knowledgeable about the island. The lunch was a delicious surprise, much higher quality than I expected from a tour. All of the vineyards we visited were beautiful. The wines were good, just not right for our taste. We were met at the ferry terminal on time and brought back on time. The Island is beautiful, with quaint villages and pristine beaches. I highly recommend checking it out.
Great tour with 5 star lunch on the beach with great views. Multiple wineries with a great sampling of New Zealand wines.
Oliver was our guide and was very knowledgeable about Waiheke and made the trip a fun day. We visited three different wineries and had a fun and relaxing time at each. There was a good variety of wines tasted and the wineries were very professional regarding their presentation. I would highly recommend the tour. Oliver also gave us a nice tour of the island and shared his local knowledge.
Was awesome. Especially driver Rob really knew his stuff
An excellent wine tasting tour around the beautiful Waiheke island from start to end. All three tastings were great, the lunch was delicious, our tour guide Nooroa was so fun, kind and made an effort to get to know everyone in our group. He had engaging commentary while driving around the island and gave helpful tips once he learned where we were still traveling to around NZ. It was easy to find the pickup location after getting off the ferry as well. We hope to visit the island again in the future and stay longer next time.
We had a great experience. Our tour guide was friendly, funny and very informative. The wineries were beautiful and gave a great tasting experience. The 1 hat (their Michelin star rating) was delicious. A great final touch is if you want to stay on the island after the tour they will drive you to where you want to go. Amazing service start to finish!! We would definitely do this again
Such an amazing experience. The lunch was delicious and the entire day felt relaxed and well organised. Being able to visit multiple wineries, take in the sights and not worry about driving or organising transport made the experience completely stress-free and even more enjoyable. It was also great to meet people from around the world. Our guide was an absolute legend! Knowledgeable, friendly and happy to take photos for us throughout the day. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and would highly recommend this tour.
Had a great time with Shane our guide. He was right there to pick us up and dropped us back at the ferry. The negatives were no one sent in our lunch order, and the trip seemed kind of rushed. It would have been nicer to spend a bit more time on the island and at the vineyards
Our coach driver Rob was funny but also really organised and nothing was too much trouble. Visited Cable bay, postage stamp and Stony Ridge. All three excellent wines and knowledgeable staff. Special mention for Chiara at Stonyridge who was very entertaining (and real passion for wine). Lunch at 372 was superb. Highly recommended!
We shared a great experience with a small group. Our tour leader Karen was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable of all things Waiheke Island. The wine tastings were fun and informative. Lunch was excellent and the weather beautiful. We also met some amazing people from other countries making the experience even more special.
What a lovely experience. It was well organized, and Karen our guide was full of fun stories and facts. All the stops were great and had beautiful views. We tasted lovely wines and the lunch was delicious. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Rob, our guide was charming, entertaining and professional. He kept good time and ensured we made the most of each wine tasting and made sure we were able to catch the correct ferry. Lovely wines and company - all very well organised
The staff telling us about the different wines were minimally informative and showed very little enthusiasm . The wines were pre poured and sitting out on a warm day. The white wines were served room temp
Experience was great once we found the tour. Viator’s instructions on where and how to meet are incorrect. Waiheke Wine Tours sent a detailed email on where to meet them with instructions on which ferry to take. We never received this although we received emails from other local vendors prior to and during our time in Auckland. Would suggest that Viator change their details on how and where to meet on this excursion. Also, Waiheke Wine Tours needs to do a better job making sure they have correct email addresses and checking receipt of emails.
Noorora was a fantastic guide, driver and steward of our special lunch tour, with personalized comments for each tour member by name, humor, songs, and deep knowledge. Lovely trip, delicious sips at Postage stamp with Will, fab lunch at 372, great pacing fortune to dip our toes in the Pacifica and lovely tour mates. Ask for a Loveboat theme song singalong!
Such a lovely wine tour experience on Waiheke Island with my dad and sister. Caleb, our driver, was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and made the day feel effortless. We visited three beautiful wineries with a diverse range of wines to try, all set against stunning island scenery. A perfect way to see a lot of Waiheke, enjoy great wines, and not worry about logistics. There were about 15 of us from all over the world on the tour, which was the perfect size. Would highly recommend!
Beautiful island, lovely vineyards. Fun day out w friends wish we had more time. Felt a bit rushed and barely made it back to the boat on time.
An incredible day from start to finish. The tour started meeting our guide Paora exactly as we walked off the ferry as instructed. Paoro was a wonderful guide for this trip. He provided us with lots of information about the area and how our itinerary. There were 6 of us on the tour and we all became fast friends. Paora made a point of speaking with all of us individually and he set the tone for relaxing day. We started at the restaurant and where we had a delicious meal with spectacular views of the Onetanghi beach. Which my husband and I went back to the next day. Every vineyard was beautiful and the wines were very good. We relaxed on bean bag chairs while sipping our wines and enjoying the magnificent views. Just a perfect day all around.
Great trip with a fantastic guide, Debbie, who was extremely informative about the whole area and the vineyards. Great insight into the local wildlife.
Noorora was a fantastic guide. He was personable, informative, and made the tour a memorable experience. Would recommend him and the Gourmet Food and Wine tour!
Lovely tour bus & the best tour guide! You get in exquisite lunch on the water then 4 different stunning wineries around the island that are all completely different. It’s a full day of fun & incredible wines, food & learning about the fascinating history of the island & vineyards.
This trip was well worth the money. 3 wineries plus a gourmet lunch with wine or beer! Our driver and tour guide Rob was fun, informative and organized. Great, scenic wineries with lovely wines and knowledgeable hosts at each stop. Highly recommend.
The ferry is not included in the tour cost, and I missed my ferry to the island. However, I called the tour company, and they made a special trip to pick me up so I could join my tour group. I didn't miss much and still tried all of the wines. It was a dreary, rainy day, so there was no roaming around outside, but Rob did an excellent job keeping everyone engaged. The only suggestion I have is not for the tour but for the Postage Stamp Winery. Don't take off with the bottle. Leave it on the table. It serves as a visual reminder of the wine and can help with purchases later.
Nice, small group tour with friendly and knowledgeable guide.
