Not what we expected, although the guide, Maree, was very nice and super friendly. From pictures posted online for this tour we were left missing the “premium” part of the tour - no looking around wineries and seeing the wine-making process. It was basically a wine tasting trip with one of the four stops being a gin / vodka stop so not even a wine stop.

We had an amazing time with Maree! She is so warm, wonderful, interesting and passionate. What a fantastic ambassador for NZ and for Waiheke. Nice size group just 6 of us. Great value for money. Easy to organise with the ferry, Maree just met us at the terminal with a big sign. Went to a fabulous range of different wineries and felt like we really got to try everything the island had to offer. All the cellar door hosts were knowledgeable and wonderful as well.
Absolutely must recommend this tour. The vineyard selection was amazing! we visited 4 vineyards and every single one was really good. We are definitely not wine experts but we enjoyed every wine we tasted. Maree was such a nice and knowledgeable guide. We are so grateful to have her guide us through this experience.
Beautiful place even in the rain! 3 good winery's interesting people giving the tasting. Tour of the island was nice too, bit of a odd driver, but ok
The wine tour & driver were good. However, we booked directly with the company on line the day before. Their web site promotes "late model" vans as transportation and will pick you up at your hotel, which I included in my booking. We are visiting Auckland for the first time. I have no idea where Waiheke is, as its called Waiheke Premium Wine Tour. No where does it mention that this is an island which requires a ferry ride and an additional $61 NZD/person, and, the hotel pick up they offer, we'll, that's only if your on the island. None of this was made aware to me until after I called the tour company late in the day as I had not received any confirmation for my booking. If I had not called I would not know any of this and the next morning I would have missed the tour & been out $370. Very poor communication by the company. As for the vans. Not late model, old & dated and you cannot hear the driver if your sitting past the 1st row. The positive was, good driver & nice wineries.
This was our first time to Waiheke and this tour was a great way to see some of the island. Our guide Steve was phenomenal and had lots of fun facts about Waiheke. Also really liked the smaller group size. The vineyards visited were also quite nice with a good variation of wines tasted
Luca was a wonderfully warm and generous guide. My Mum and I enjoyed the fun company of a wide mix of folks on the tour. We visited four wineries, with lunch at the third of the four, namely Batch. Luca had us back to the ferry terminal in time for a 4.30pm sailing.
Very enjoyable day with stops at four vineyards. Lots of tasting! The stops got better as the trip Buttressed with stunning views at the final two stops. Our enjoyment of the wines correlated accordingly! Nice group of fellow travellers. Difficult to hear the drivers commentary but it was a good day out and would recommend.
We've had the best time with Lucas (he would probably not say the same about us as we've been clueless all day). Both my friend and myself needed to turn our brain off and we could rely on our guide, just going with the wind. That was very relaxing, and we had a lot of fun. The wines were good, so was the olive oil but we were already so full from lunch. I'd rather taste it in the morning and have more wine after lunch. We had the 3 wine tasting prior lunch... But still an amazing day and a lovely guide.
My family and I were on holiday to celebrate my 60th birthday. Being a wine lover I asked for a wine tour and my husband found Waiheke Island Wine Tour and Tastings by Enjoi. We met our tour guide, Sheri (I hope I'm spelling correctly) and Mr. Wino, her adorable co-host at the ferry station and the fun began. Sheri is very knowledgeable about the area, the wineries and the wine varieties. We enjoyed Sauvignon Blancs (which I favored), Chardonnay (which my daughter-in-law favored), Pinot Noirs, Syrah, Merlot, Tempranillo, Montepulciano, and Rose. And maybe more I may have lost count. Lol. We enjoyed a lovely meal at Batch Winery. Sheri was a lot of fun and very accommodating dropping people off at different locations. My family and I got off in town so we could shop, explore and taste the oysters at the Oyster Inn. Sheri is definitely an asset to Enjoi as well as Waiheke Island in general. Thank you, Sheri and Mr. Wino for a wonderful experience.
Each winery was different and fun, not to mention the beautiful scenery as we traveled around the island! Great tastings, great guide, great tour!
Fabulous tour with Sheree and Mister Wino. Our Scottish guests first wine tour ever and they loved it. My 5th time with Enjoi and it did not disappoint. Sheree was informative and entertaining. Great wineries, lunch and our last stop was Allpress Olives. The sun came out for us and we met lots of lovely people. Thank you Enjoi, highly recommended.
Nice experience, small group tour and lovely wine tasting. Maybe a bit rushed, however it was a pleasant day out.
Wow! I don’t even know where to start…We are absolutely blown away by everything to do with the wine tour! from the fast communication through Sheree leading up to the wine tour to our Fantastic tour guide Justin! The day was just so special and perfect! This is the second time my family and I have gone on a wine tour through enjoi and we all LOVED it so much we had to visit again! Waiheke island itself is beautiful but it was Enjoi who made our little weekend getaway much better! Sheree is very friendly and was very helpful in creating an itinerary for the day where we didn’t visit some of the same vineyards from our previous tour, Thank you! The vineyards you picked out for us were so stunning! We only wish the weather wasn’t too hot to be out in the sun so we could enjoy it more! As for our tour guide the star of the show Justin! He really felt like a fun and cool friend to us! Made the tour that much more enjoyable, He’s very knowledgeable and we learned a lot from him. He was also very accommodating in meeting our needs like having a quick stop for a bite to eat as well as just being so kind and allowing us to leave some of the vineyards early because there wasn’t much shade and the heat was bad! Thank you so much Justin! you really made our day. If you’re thinking of booking with Enjoi for a wine tour, do it! you will not regret it, they have a lovely team who want you to fun and will look after you. We will definitely visit again next year untill then Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
We had a great day. Luckily it was just our small group in out group so had the full attention of the guide. The wine was good, food excellent and views amazing. All this in spite of chilly windy drizzly weather.
Had a lovely day with Justin as tour guide, very knowledgeable and great company, perfect day even though the weather wasn't kind to us, best winery - Wild Estate, food, wine and service 5 star
We had the best time on this tour . Justin the tour guide was so good . The other people on the tour were all really good and friendly. Would definitely recommend this tour and go again
Onny was a genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and sincere guide. We did this tour on our first day in New Zealand, and it was a perfect way to begin our two-week holiday. We weren’t rushed, we tasted wonderful wines, and we saw some of the most beautiful sights ever. Highly recommend!
We booked a tour for 9 of us and Sheree advised us not to use fullers ferry. In good faith - we each paid Sheree from Enjoi in advance of our 30 March wine tour - $49.50 for a return ferry ticket. We could not use the ticket on the day as the ferry was not running due to maintenance. We were faced with the choice of abandoning the whole day or scrambling to the fullers ferry and paying for another ticket. It has now been 15 weeks we have been trying to recoup the money for the ferry from Sheree. Despite numerous promises of refunds we are yet to receive a cent. The actual tour was a shambles. We believe they expected we would not get the ferry and not show up. Our “group leader” made numerous calls from the ferry to advise of our revised travel arrangements yet our “guide” was late to pick us up and by his own admission didn’t expect us to make it due to the cancelled ferry. Not a good start! Quite frankly he looked like he had just rolled out of bed. Despite our tour including some excellent wineries the organisation was dreadful resulting in us being confused as to whether we were just lunching at Heke or also doing a tasting. Our guide said yes, Sheree disagreed. I would like to stress we received great hospitality from all the wineries. But there are plenty of tour companies on Waiheke Island. Avoid Enjoi at all costs.
4. months on And still no response to the disaster still no refund either. What on earth has happened to this company! no communication took money for ferry tickets that weren't available And now ignoring all our
What a great day out on a weekend in Auckland. I wanted something that would make me feel I had gone away but not gone anywhere. I loved my ferry rides across to Waiheke and the trip around 4 vineyards was excellent. Just the right amount of time spent at each, and you were super excited to see the next vineyard and taste their exceptional wines. You can only buy them on the island and that felt very special, so of course I bought one. The driver was knowlegeable about the island, I didnt realise that waiheke is 5 degrees warmer on average to Auckland and has less rain. The weather was very kind to us with clear blue skies and we toured all over the island to and went tot he famous Mudbrick vineyard, and their outstanding venue. Loved my day out, thank you.
We joined the Waiheke Island wineries' tour via GetYourGuide and visited 4 wineries on the Waiheke Island. Our tour guide David was the best guide ever - he made the tour so fun where everyone felt welcome. His humour and energy kept us entertained and engaged. He was very easy to talk to (p.s. he knows everything about every country!). Highly recommended!
Our guide was wonderful, the views were gorgeous and the quality of wine really surpassed my expectations. The wines were well made and very unique.
WE WENT WITH TOUR OPERATOR ENJOI. THE OPERATOR WAS ONNY. HE WAS VERY PERSONABLE, KNOWLEDGEABLE , AND EASY TO TALK TOO. I CERTAINLY RECOMMEND ENJOI AND ONNY AS YOUR GUIDE.
Had a fantastic day learning about New Zealand wines and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Definitely a must if you're in the area it was soo worth it. Was able to stop for some pics along the way as the guide was super cool and accommodating!
It was a fantastic experience. The guide was so friendly and surprised my friends and me with his knowledge of Latino culture and even some Spanish! The wineries had delicious wines and incredible views. I highly recommend this tour!
Onny was a great tour guide. He had great information and recommendations, a great personality to be toured by. We visited 3 wineries and a brew/ distillery, which were all fantastic. We were able to stop at Onetangi beach for some photos in between tastings. Lunch was at Batch winery, it had awesome views, great service and amazing food. Thanks again enjoi tours!
My first time doing this tour, but I have to say, David our tour guide was amazing, just wow he is very knowledgeable, funny and kind….My brother and my husband as well as myself was amazed by him… Thank you David for being the best Tour Guide… And we will see you all again… Totally recommend this Tour…
What a brilliant tour. Onny, our Guide, was an absolute gem of a human. He was so knowledgeable about the whole of Waiheke having grown up on the island and knew so many great facts to accompany our drives to and from the vineyards (plus a sneaky shortcut to beat the traffic and keep us on track!) As a solo traveller sometimes can be tricky to gel on tours but it was such a nice group of people. Thanks Onny for going above and beyond and ensuring we all got to know each other and felt included. A real bonus of this tour is that you visit 4 vineyards instead of three like many of the others. A blend of larger well known vineyards such as Mudbrick and Batch and also boutique vineyards like Postage stamp which was nice. 3 or 4 glasses at each and some great info from Vineyard staff and our guide who supplemented with lots of knowledge too. Theres time factored in for a really decent break for a gorgeous al fresco vineyard lunch (at your own cost) and Onny even found time to stop at the beach which was gorgeous. Also did a great shift as photographer for some scenic snaps at a few of the stops! I would just say there's no issue getting the 10am ferry from Auckland over. I got the 9am (recommended by Ferry ticket sales staff) but guide was ready to greet us at 10.35 from the 10am ferry so can save some hanging around. Thanks for a really wonderful day.
What a great day. Meeting new people and sampling the wine of Waheke. Our host David was a hoot. We had plenty of tasting opportunities and lunch at one of the wineries.
Our tour guide David was very kind, knowledgeable and made everyone feel comfortable. It was a great way to spend a rainy day.
We took the ferry from Auckland to Waiheke Island where our driver Zoltan was waiting. The ferry ride was fast and smooth. Zoltan was very nice and took us to a few different wineries that were beautiful and had fantastic scenery. A great way to spend the day.
It was raining the whole day and this wine tour was the most brilliant activity for this day, however it would be a brilliant activity at any weather and day. We were a group of 5 persons. I already stayed at a accomondation at Waiheke, so our tourguide David picked me up there. Very comfortable for me, thank you again! He was a brilliant tour guide and knew a lot of wines, winemaking and about Waiheke and was happy to show us the Island beside the winerys. He also spoke german and his english-austrian accent was quite funny for me as a german native speaker :) The styles and the wines at the different wineyards were quite different but very nice. So the whole tour was varied. We always had reserved seats, sometimes reserved rooms, so nobody could have bothered us. Also the lunch at the second winery was very good. I enjoyed the day very much. I expected a good day despite of the rain and the day in the end was brilliant! I can highly recommend. The tour is definitely worth its price!
Even though it was raining cats & dogs all day we had such a great experience. David is a lovley person and knows who to make everbody have fun. We laughed a lot. The wineries and the variety wine in the tastings were great.
We had a wonderful tour. Got off the ferry and our ride was waiting for us. Did some fun wine tours and had a nice lunch. The Distillery stop was also fun.
David, our guide, was fantastic. His knowledge of the area was expansive. He has a quick wit and was fun to tour with. The weather and the views from the Wineries was beautiful. We had a great group of people- fun loving and excited to experience Waiheke wines. I highly recommend you experience wines with Enjoi, NZ tours!
The tour was amazing, we had an absolutely awesome day. the weather was perfect & our tour guide, david was lovely. never felt rushed & tons of time for photos.
The driver was amazing. Knows his stuff about the area & the nationalities of the people on the bus. The venues we visited were top notch.
I missed the ferry to make it in time for the tour however they still came back for me so I could join. Amazing experience with the legendary tour guide David who made it even better.
Avoid Enjoi. Unprofessional, greedy company that focuses on the dollar over the customer. Highly recommend going with Waiheke Island Wine Tours. Better transportation and the owner was personally involved in creating an amazing experience.
David our driver/tour guide was excellent. Lots of fun. We had a sing along on the way to the ferry. All of the wineries and food was delicious
We had a really great tour guide and our group got along really well, highly credit the guide for this. I have been on a lot of tours, but have never been with a group of different peoples from different parts of the World, who had so much fun together! I wish I had written our tour guide name down. There were 6 of us that signed up for the tour, but we signed up after the other 4 did; this caused us to be on a different tour than them. BUT, we wound up being glad we did, because we had so much fun! The other 4 enjoyed their tour, but said it sounded like we had more fun than they did. That was due to our tour guide; he knew how to involve everyone and ensure everyone enjoyed the tour. We toured Goldie Estate, Postage Stamp (Obsidian) Vineyard, Batch Winery, Cellar Door Vineyard, and Churchill Vineyard; we enjoyed each one. We had time to explore each one, the wines we tasted were explained, plenty of time for questions, and never felt rushed. We were back in time for the ferry we wanted to catch. Recommend reserving your ferry tickets ahead of time, if possible, to make sure you can get on the ferry you need. You will need to exchange the electronic ticket for a paper one; we did this the day before. We showed our ID and they looked it up online, then printed the tickets for us (not the tour group, the ferry service office does this). Of note, when you get off the ferry, there are a number of tour guides with signs. Initially, we spoke to someone with a sign for tour for vineyards, but they were not the correct one; this was our fault. Make sure you look for someone with the ‘Enjoi’ sign. If you book through GetYourGuide, all the information is available there; we booked the winery tour that way, was easy.
First time on Waiheke Island and loved it! Easy, on time, hassle free pick up and drop off from the Sealink Ferry Terminal (Kennedy Point). 10/10 communication prior to day regarding pick up location and timing. Zoltan, our guide, was amazing; friendly, informative and funny. All four wineries we visited were equally impressive - couldn't pick a favourite! 100% recommend.
This was a great tour, Zoltan our host was lovely, reached out before we got to the island, was there to meet us and gave a great tour. The wineries were fun and the scenery breathtaking - if you want 6 hours to see the highlights of the island and enjoy some wine - this is the way to do it
Superb day. Went so fast. Great young local guide. Stunning weather helped. We did 4 wine stops and tastings…Postage Stamp really informative and Batch super wines.. and deviated for views and local honey. Tastings perhaps a little rushed (disappointing Marlborough SB at Mudbrick.. went for Waiheke wines) but good stop for lunch at Wild, where guide sorted out missing orders. This is the way to spend a day…absolutely recommend.
Our guide, Dave, was fun and fabulous! In terms of the wineries, Mudbick and Batch stood out as stellar in terms of location, hospitality, knowledge and wines. Postage Stamp lacked customer care, atmosphere, location and tasting were skinny and not well interpreted...I would recommend Enjoi to pick another winery from this one. Wild on Waiheke was great on customer service, wine and food but there are no views here-only fun things to do. I would recommend to include Soho and/or Casino Miro and you could probably fit 5 wineries into your 4 schedule. I noticed that your organisation was super adaptable to some of our group I didn't know who were late, missed the ferry, caught up with us later, needed a ride to the first tasting (as they had missed it) etc. I was impressed with how communicative and flexible, accommodation you were to all of this! Overall, I really enjoyed my day-little wee fan rattled a bit and aircon didn't fully run, the choice of wineries is crucial and needs a bit of a review. 100% for the guide.
Dave was amazing. Firstly he waited for us at a winery as we missed our meeting time. Then he gave us a ride to the winery we missed. A fun personable guide!
I had a great time, this is ideal for solo travellers as our guide David installs a friendly mood in the group right away! It is also a great way to discover beautiful sights of Waiheke while enjoying a large palette of wines for every taste. This experience is totally worth the price and made me meet lovely people. Thank you David!
David was excellent in both his knowledge & approach. Lovely wines, especially Mudbrick! Such an interesting day well hosted
The vineyards were truly beautiful. We really enjoyed our tour guide as well, he was funny, informative, and lovely to be around.
