We had a wonderful time. The meet up location needs to be clarified. It stated 9:15 on the island (getting off the ferry). However, we apparently were supposed to meet more like 8:45 bc the activity *started* at 9:15. Reviewed all info and nowhere does it state that clearly. Nonetheless, Chloe and Kaylee were wonderful at the zip line and so was Monica at the Casita Miro!

What a fantastic experience from start to finish! From being picked up from the ferry by Fraser to the highlight of the day — the zipline tour. Poppy and Connor were absolutely amazing. They were both friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the local area and native bush. They made the whole experience enjoyable, relaxed, and memorable. I would definitely recommend this experience to friends and family. A fantastic day out!
Great time zip lining. Bucket list check off.
Fun filled day, however you can't control the weather. We'll be back to zipline during the summer months and spending a night or 2 on the island will be the way to go.
Lunch food was good. Service was terrible and food came out late for different people.
This was really two separate tours. The Eco zip lining was the best experience. The wine tour was ok. First, the zip lining was great. The guides (Poppy and Debacker) made us feel very comfortable and safe. They knew a lot about the area and made the experience wonderful. It was nice having a short walk between the zip lining. Second, the wine and olive oil tour was ok. I felt like it was so much driving. I didn’t realize we were also getting a tour of the island. The lunch was good but the winery was ok. The other wineries were ok. Nothing outstanding. If I were to do it again, I would definitely book the zip lining tour on its own. But would find a different winery part.
Awesome zip line in experience Fraser and Macy were terrific. We should have lasted longer than I could’ve zip line all day. From there we went olive oil tasting at all press, which was excellent and then had lunch at batch Winery and did two other tastings at cable Bay and mud brick our afternoon guide was Nicola and loved that she shared so many personal stories. Highly recommend.
The ziplining was absolutely fabulous from the nervous 1st step to the very long walk back to base we were looked after very well by Lucy and Elizabeth. With their calm instruction and fun manner we were put at ease throughout the trip and I loved every minute of it.
Eco zipline was fabulous . Great job by Poppy & Ella . Professional and fun . Safety was clearly a priority . Batch winery lunch was very good but took too long for lunch . Cable bay winery was so rushed we didn't see the winery nor did we have time to consider buying wine . Similarly loved Mudbrick winery but we were so rushed that we never got to see the winery and peruse the other wines . Could have done without the 40 min bus tour as we signed up up for wineries tour not a bus tour of the area. Also when are zipline tour was completed we were escorted to a huge bus tour group without any directions . Would have appreciated some communication.
I had an amazing experience. The views are unbelievable and I especially loved learning about the history and culture. I would highly recommend this to experience. Thank you so much.
This experience was incredible. Exhilarating and adrenaline filled afternoon. Beautiful scenery. Vineyards and native forest. Zip lining is 3 lines and a forest hike back to the office. Make sure this is on your to do list when visiting Waiheke Island.
Loads of fun, staff are amazing, you feel like you are in very safe hands, they are experienced, knowledgeable & have great sense of humor
I had the most incredible ziplining experience in New Zealand! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and the staff was not only professional but also friendly and knowledgeable, making sure we felt safe and excited throughout the adventure. The views were absolutely breathtaking—soaring over lush forests, valleys, and rivers made the experience unforgettable. The adrenaline rush of speeding through the treetops combined with the serenity of nature was the perfect balance.
An experience of a lifetime. A MUST when in NZ. Frazier and Poppy were amazing at the Zip Lining, Simon our tour guide is the best👍👍👍 I would book with you all allll over again.
Zip Lining: Absolutely loved the zip lining! It was well organised with fantastic staff (Steven and Ashley) who made it a true highlight. Highly recommended! Wine Tour & Lunch: The wine tour and lunch were disappointing, especially considering the cost. After zip lining, we were hastily added to a low-energy tour that didn't match our adventurous spirit. Communication was poor—the promised free bottle of olive oil never arrived—and the lunch at the Bach Winery was rushed, with our meal served at 1:50 pm and the bus leaving at 2 pm, leaving no time to relax. The meal was undercooked, and the itinerary felt disjointed with excessive bus time. However, Mudbrick Vineyard was a redeeming finale, offering a relaxing vibe after a hectic day.
Ashley at Ecozip Adventures was a great guide and help with our zip line experience! She took care of 2 oldsters wanting to experience a zip line for the first time. We so appreciated her patience, help, and for going above and beyond to make this happen. THANK YOU, ASHLEY!!! 😊 Claudia & Ed from Florida
Zipline was excellent . Staff were very helpful. I really enjoyed it. The wine tasting was very poor. I didn’t learn anything. We weren’t told we could buy drinks at lunch. The guide at cable left us in the room without telling us anything . The only good guide was the last one.
Such a worthwhile experience! Me and my brother had the best time! The staff was incredible and they really care about the environment. My advice is to redeem your ferry tickets the day before in order to have an easy morning if possible. We did that and the day couldn't have gone better. 100/10
I had the most incredible experience with EcoZip adventures. The guides were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and fun! The forest walk afterwards was a highlight for me, and the guides provided lots of information about the ancient brush! Unbelievably stunning views on the zip line and during the short hike afterwards! I also chose their Zip, Wine and Dine combo and would thoroughly recommend. It made for a phenomenal day that I’ll never forget. The entire process was fantastic: easy booking, great communication and a wonderful experience! Worth mentioning that I was a solo female traveller, and I felt completely comfortable and welcome! Thank you Eco Zip!
I was really nervous about my first zip line experience, but the Ecozip team, including Lidia and her colleague, made it so much easier for me. I'm thrilled that I chose their service for such a memorable adventure. They were awesome and prioritized safety, ensuring everything was checked properly to keep us secure. Thank you so much, Ecozip! The views while zip lining were absolutely amazing! 🥰
Our tour guides at the Zip Lining Marcus and Lucie they were so patient and funny. Hiking the forest was fun. The Olive out tasting was amazing. I ended with several bottles to bring back home. The wine testing and lunch place was beautiful and the food was plenty and delicious. I wish we could have spend more time in here. We had 3 wine tasting in total in 3 different locations. Our bus driver was helpful, she was amazing too. Overall, Everyone was kind, helpful and welcoming . A must do it worth the money value!!
The staffs were very accommodating. Zips were stunning and the forest was impressive. Enjoyed the view, weather in the island.
I love zip lining so was very happy to try it on Waiheke. Great staff and felt very safe. Enjoyed the first two zips but because I am older and had been warned about the hike back up the hill sadly did not do the final one. It is a shame that older adventurous, or disabled people are not catered for. All zip lining I have done overseas have a system to get back to the start. Apart from this had a great time.
What an incredible day! Started with Ziplining. Guides were fun and informative, while keeping safety in mind. Food was substantial at lunch and wine tasting was diverse and fun at each location.
The ziplining was fun with picturesque views of the island and sea coast. Very professionally managed and eco-centric. A great spot for beginners too. The first tasting stop had the best wines and a nice lunch but each stop had unique charms and tastes. A lovely way to spend the day. Highly recommend having the charter driver drop you at the end of the tour in the cute little town or the beguiling beach and use your ferry pass to return later in the evening. You'll feel brilliant for giving Waiheke a longer visit!
We really enjoyed the zip lining, lunch and wine tastings. It is a beautiful island with much to do. Tim and his helper were awesome in hooking us up for zip lining 😀. Highly recommend. Very impressed with bus driving and parking skills of our woman bus driver! She was awesome and very informative!
The tour guides were great. They made sure you were safe and also had a great time. They helped you take pictures/videos of yourself as well as others. I would recommend them and do it again. The only bad thing I would say is the wine tour was just too long. 3 to 4 vineyards would have been good. 5 was too long.
Great day. Ziplipe was awesome fun run by a professional young crew. That walk back from the last run was beautiful. Wine tour was great experience. Lunch was delicious. Highly recommend this to anyone.
Excellent tour guide, professional staff to walk you through the zip line process. Had an awesome time.
Zip lining in Waiheke Great fun - exhilarating without being terrifying . Friendly guides and great scenery. The coach later dropped us off for an excellent lunch at Mudbrick wine yard.
The day started out by our wonderful tour guide picking us up from the ferry terminal. As he drove us to the zip line location, he provided us with jokes and information regarding the island of Waiheke, even pulling over and letting us get out to take photos of the island! Once at ecozip, the staff members were great! I would like to warn that the “leisurely nature walk” is roughly a mile in distance, and more of a small hike than a simple walk. After zip lining we were bussed back to the ferry terminal where we loaded the bus to begin the wine tasting for the afternoon. The wineries served anywhere from 3-6 different types of wine, some included pairings such as cheese, olives, and nuts. The wineries we visited were: Stonyridge Vikeyards, Casita Miro, and Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant. Lunch was served at Stonyridge which included salad, and a pumpkin and sweet potato quiche. We also visited Rangihoua Estates for an olive oil learning and sampling session. I would definitely recommend for a fun filled day on Waiheke!
Great start to the day with our amazing driver Noo from EcoZip! He was really the highlight of the day (and that is saying a lot as everything was amazing). Noo had tons of knowledge about New Zealand and Waiheke as well as sharing funny stories and jokes to keep us laughing. Not only did he provide us with the aforementioned entertainment, but he even played the ukulele and sang us a song! Zip-lining over the bush and vineyards was amazing. EcoZip has an excellent zip line system and very professional staff that ensured we felt very safe throughout the entire activity. The eco walk back from the last zip line was also very informative. Lockers are provided for your personal belongings at the zip lining facilities. After zip lining the driver will take you back to the ferry terminal where you will grab a different bus for the wine tour and lunch. We enjoyed the wineries and the lunch as well. Be forewarned lunch will not occur until closer to 1pm so bring a snack to munch on after zip lining. The wine tour included four stops, one of which was actually olive oil tasting. They saved the best for last on our tour which was Mudbrick winery with spectacular views of the island and Auckland CBD. Overall, great day on Waiheke and easy to reach via ferry from CBD of Auckland.
My wife and I booked the Ziplining and Wine Tour via Viator. Everything was perfectly organized and the experience was great. We took the ferry from downtown Auckland to Waiheke and were greeted upon arrival. The driver was fantastic and made sure we were well equipped with knowledge of the island. The Zipline Parcours consists of three lines gradually increasing speed and length as you go on. You can feel that safety is a top priority to the team we felt very well taken care of. After a 25 minute hike through the bush were the guides explained us more about the NZ nature we were back to the base and ready for wine tasting. This part of the tour included a light lunch as well as three tastings which we really enjoyed. Definitely would recommend this tour.
This tour is basically a morning visit to EcoZip plus an afternoon Taste of Waiheke wine tour through Fullers Ferries. The 5/5 rating is really for EcoZip (see below) given that you’re set on doing wine tasting on Waiheke: the vineyards and cellar doors clearly draw crowds because of the scenery, views, and food more than the quality of the wine (most of the good wine was also produced with grapes from other wine regions of New Zealand, suggesting that if you’re a wino then Waiheke probably isn’t a region worth your time). EcoZip itself was fun. By the end you’ll have learned a bit about the native forest that you’ve been flying over, and about how thoroughly EcoZip has used their attraction to help restore it. There were 3 zip lines that get longer, faster, and higher as you go, followed by a 20-25 minute easy hike through the forest back to the top. None of it was particularly stressful. The best part is that you get to know your small ziplining crew pretty well before joining the bigger wine tour, and we ended up making friends that we spent the rest of the day with. As for the wine tour portion, we visited 3 wineries and the olive oil processing station. It was generally underwhelming in terms of the wine itself (unless you want to drop the big bucks at Stonyridge), but each vineyard was more beautiful than the last. Plus our driver (Joss) was hilarious and super helpful. We requested a Celiac/Coeliac accommodation, and got a separate salad at lunch (served at Stonyridge).
Three awesome ziplines. Each one progresses in the adrenaline rush. Well run by Ecozip, they care about your safety. Wonderful walk back through the forest you learn quite a bit about the island. After getting your adrenaline rush you do a relaxing and enlightening tour of 3 wineries and one olive oil plant. Our favorite winery was Casita Miro, delightful set up Tapas style with 4 wines and food to enhance the experience. At Stonyridge you experience French style with a light lunch of quiche, salad, bread , grapes and cheeses. At Mudbrick you experience incredible views with a wonderful garden. All total you taste 10 different wines. At Rangihoua Estate you experience the whole olive oil production and get to sample 4 different olive oils, Great learning experience at each winery and at the olive oil production. Learned different parts of the business, really enjoyed Orlando at Miro and the passion he displayed. Our bus driver Horst was fun. Great day overall with the ferry rides and experiencing the island. Well worth it.
First, I joined the ecozip ziplining tour. That was my first time ziplining and it was an awesome experience. Their staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Later we joined the wine tasting tour. Got to taste some amazing wines with a filling lunch. Views of the island was gerat. Definitely recommend if you have a day to spend at Waiheke!
All parts of this trip were incredible. The zipline adventure was very well organized as you descend down three different lines. They have an incredible view from the top, and once at the bottom in the forest, our guide was excellent at explaining the nature, trees, and wildlife. Furthermore, the wine tour was equally as excellent. We explored four different wineries, all of which had tastings and food prepared. We ended at Mudbrick winery, which on a clear day has one of the most incredible views on the entire Waiheke island.
We really enjoyed Fullers (the ferry), ECOZip (the zipline and walk), and Ananda Tours (wine tour). We loved all 3 vineyards and the olive place!
This is a great "all day" activity on Waiheke island. Its really a combined event from two different tour companies. The Zip line was by far worth the trip! I've been Zip lining in several other places, but this was the most spectacular views i have ever encountered. Very professional staff. A must do if you like this kinda thing. The Winery tour was really good. You end up at very small "mom and pop" wineries that cater to the local tourism. This part was a "big bus" tour, which is generally not my thing...
Fantastic day beautifully planned out. Tour operators are fully knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. Views are unparalleled. Ziplining experience with a hike back through the forest was phenomenal. Wine tasting and olive oil tasting events were educational and so much fun. This booking was the highlight of our stay in NZ!!
This is an awesome day out and a must do in Auckland. Beautiful Island, Fun Fun Fun Ziplining and great lunch and wineries. Highly recommend.
Fantastic day on Waiheke Island! Zip lining was a lot of fun with the most amazing views. The guides were great. A lot of information was given and they both had awesome sense of humour.
Would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to have an adventure that concludes with libations. We had spectacular views of Waiheke and the surrounding area from atop the vineyards and while cruising on the zipline. It’s a great way to meet other couples and groups excited by adventure, and the ferry back to Auckland is hourly until midnight, so even after the final winery you have time to enjoy a Waiheke sunset over a glass (or bottle) of wine.
Four of us friends booked the zip line and wine tasting tour on a Sunday. It was amazing! The tour guide picked us up from the ferry and drove to the zip line base. Along the way he told us about the island and all the things we could do. Very friendly and funny! The zip line was great and well worth it! The view is awesome and guides are very safe and informative. We were then picked up and taken to the bus for our wine tour. The wine tour covered 3 wineries and an olive oil tasting. Wines were great and views were amazing. One of the best days we had in Auckland- highly recommend this tour.
Amazing experience, I was only in Auckland for a short period of time and I am so glad that I was able to do this tour. The food was great and the people were really nice. I definitely recommend doing this tour.
A great day of thrill, wine & food!!! Caught the 8am ferry from quay wharf in Auckland. The EcoZip tour guide was there to meet us and took us to the zip line. The bus driver & zip guys were so funny & helpful & made the rides awesome. From there we were taken back down to the wharf to meet the bus for the wine& dine part. The wineries were great, the wine & food delicious & the people we met were amazing. If you are looking for a full day of fun this is the tour you need to be on. Very well organised and the team were amazing.
Beautiful Island Zipline was amazing flying over tree tops scary but awesome.Had the best fish and Chips with water views at a lovely cafe/bar in town. Some nice little shops to browse in as well.
The tour was amazing. Best gift for Mother's Day. Peter our guide deserves a special shout out. He was a star and a genuine wine enthusiast. The zipline was one of a kind experience too. I was amazed the hospitality of the people in Waiheke. You people are awesome! The only downside of this trip has to be a racist woman at the waiheke ferry terminal who was checking our tickets. She was rude and must watch her filthy mouth. I will ensure I write a complaint letter about her to fullers ferry. Thank you waiheke zipline for making our day so memorable.
We took the zipling with the Wine Tour. Our first experience with zip lining!! The Eco Zip team was great - took trouble to make us comfortable, ensured safety throughout and gave tips on how to enjoy the zip lining!! The wine experience was also great - 3 wineries - each a different experience including a wine and food pairing!! Thanks, EcoZip for a fantastic experience!!
there had been a glitch with our booking through a third party but Gavin and his staff at Ecozip stepped up to put things right and that was truly appreciated. Just top service and the activity of zip lining was great fun. And then to have Ananda tours for the wine tasting and lunch was very special. Thanks everyone totally.
