Outstanding!!! First bike tour that I took using radio headset so the guide could give more information while we are riding especially letting us know about traffic. We saw a huge chunk of the city.

Loved this tour. It’s clearly been put together with a lot of thought and care - the pace, the clarity of instructions to keep us safe, the ear pieces so we could stay connected while riding and the forethought to provide wet weather gear when the day looked a bit risky all contributed to a really positive and easy experience. Great quality bikes. Our guide, Eddie, had a great balance of knowledge and humor and made it such a fun and informative morning.
Great experience. Eddie was fun and informative, the bikes were excellent and we got to see plenty. The weather was poor but it didn’t matter at all - Eddie even had wet weather pants for us all. The communication through earpieces meant we could learn about the sights as we passed them without having to stop all the time and we could even get safety tips when nec. A great way to see Auckland and get our bearings. Highly recommended!
We took this bike tour on the day we arrived to stay awake while we adjusted to New Zealand time. Bikes were well maintained and a great way to see sights around Auckland. Guide was very helpful and informative as well.
What a fantastic way to explore Auckland! The bikes are fun and easy to use, Ruebin was knowledgable and passionate about his city and the places we covered in the 3 hour tour was impressive. I dont usually ride a bike, although I did many years ago and there were no issues using the bikes at all. Would definately recommend to others. Thanks Ruebin, you're a great guide.
We had a wonderful time on this bike tour with a small group! Reuben was a great guide, showing us all the highlights of Aukland with informative commentary. His background with urban planning added to the experience. The headsets were a great asset because we could hear all of his explanations and funny comments! He was also able to give us traffic related warnings and other things to watch out for. It was my first time on an electric bike, so Reuben told us how to use the features, and it was so enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour!
The tour was very thorough. Our guide was awesome- he gave us details of what to expect and that nothing was very strenuous. He made sure we were all together at all times and may some interesting stops along the way- it was about 3 hours long and we had time to go on with our day and not feel wiped out.
Excellent tour of Aukland. Learned about the culture and how they are revitalizing the city. I thought the tour was beautiful and informative. Saw parks, marinas, and a war memorial. Best part was our tour guide Reuben who kept a great pace both on bike and in conversation. He’s intelligent and funny! Highly recommend and although I don’t generally ride E bikes, they came in very handy going up to a crater.
There was a miscommunication about the date of our tour, so the owner, Eddie, graciously stepped in and gave the tour himself. Super knowledgeable about Auckland /New Zealand in its history. All the writing was safe. The e bikes were in really good shape. In the end, he will provide you with the map of what you’ve ridden, and pictures taken at certain spots. We had a really fun time.
We thoroughly enjoyed our morning with Eddie. Everything was considered. Highly organised tour with excellent, and clean equipment. Perfect way to be introduced to Auckland, its a must do!
Such a fun e-bike tour exploring the major sights of Auckland. Eddie was a fabulous operator, sharing lots of interesting information about this beautiful city. The tour gives a great insight into the history and makeup of Auckland and sets you up for exploring after. Thanks Eddie for the wonderful experience.
Excellent bike tour with Ruben, around the Viaduct, Mt Eden, through the Uni, back through the city. The bikes were good quality, very powerful - even uphill.
We had a lovely morning out with Dennis. He was great about telling us in advanced about turns, steep hills, traffic situations, etc. he was also knowledgeable in a lot of the local community. Overall a great experience!
This electric bike tour exceeded my expectations! Our guide, Eddie was professional, knowledgeable and fun! The ride went all over the city and moved at a very nice pace. The sites were breathtaking and the bikes were wonderful. All the equipment they provided was first class and clean. A terrific experience, can’t say enough wonderful things about this tour.
The tour was fantastic! Saw some great sights of Auckland and loved visiting Mt Eden which would be tough without an E- bike. Bikes were in fantastic condition and Eddie our guide and owner of the business was an excellent guide with a great sense of knowledge and a fantastic sense of humour, would highly recommend.
This was an incredible bike tour that we thoroughly enjoyed. We particularly appreciated starting our vacation with a bike tour to get an insider’s perspective of the area and receive recommendations for restaurants and activities. Our tour guide was fantastic, and we highly recommend this tour. The eBike made navigating the city incredibly easy.
Eddie was excellent. He was friendly and informative and very easy to understand. We appreciated the fact that he didn't cancel even though we were the only 2 that signed up (it's the start of the off season). My bike seat kept dropping down and after multiple attempts to fix, he quickly biked back to shop and brought a new bike which made a huge difference.
We had an amazing e-bike ride with Eddie. A great way to see more of Auckland - marinas, parks, and high volcanic view point giving views in all directions. Trip is good for all levels and Eddie gives EXCELLENT directions through headphones so you always know what is coming making for a safe, enjoyable ride. Eddie is funny and spending time with him was a pleasure!! Highly recommend this trip and you get free photos from Eddie at the end to top it off. Thank you, Eddie.
An extraordinary tour around Auckland. We loved the bikes and tour guide Eddy was excellent. Great pace and stops for photo ops. Truly the only way to see the city. ❣️🥳
It is an amazing way to see and learn about Auckland. Reuben was fantastic tour guide who was also very entertaining.
Fantastic tour that did exactly what we wanted…got us out of the tourist port area and into the city to see areas we never would have. Our guide Ruben was excellent. The ability to have the audio so you could hear everything he said was awesome…and also much safer given all of us were Americans driving on the wrong side of the road :) Highly recommend!
Great way to see Auckland. Loved this e-bike tour. Reuben was very friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience memorable. Highly recommend
The sun finally came out today. What a difference that makes. Our guide Ruben was awesome, especially when the battery on his e-bike went out. He helped us maneuver Auckland traffic. Quite the experience to ride bikes on the (sorry Ruben) wrong side of the road. Mt Eden was spectacular to see.
The tour uses power assist bikes which can be set to varying levels of power when you pedal. This give good control and is very handy with stop and start urban routes. The steepest hills are easy. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had many good insights on Auckland, and New Zealand history and culture.
Matt was a wonderful guide around the city and answered all of our questions about the complex history of Auckland & New Zealand! The individual ear phones were amazing! It allowed him to tell us about things as we rode by. Loved it!
This excursion is a great way to see Auckland. Bikes were high quality and easy to use (my wife had not ridden an e-bike before), with great power to climb hilly Auckland. Our guide was very informative and narration through individual headsets was very good. Felt safe riding primarily on trails. Tour started and ended very near the ship. The pictures, videos and our ride animation were a wonderful bonus to this wonderful experience. Big thumbs up!
What a GREAT bike tour. Our guide, Eddie, was fantastic and I really appreciated the small group size! We learned so much about the history of the Maori people and Auckland in general. Beautiful scenery, and the electric bike (with BOOST) really helped getting up to the top of Mount Eden. Such a spectacular experience; HIGHLY recommend to anyone visiting Auckland.
Really enjoyable trip taking in lots of places we would have otherwise missed. The waterfront area was good to explore, another highlight Mount Eden with amazing views across the city. Electric bike made light work of steep inclines and headwind!
We love bike tours and this one was great! We saw so much, explored areas we would never have gone to or known about, covered so much ground and the electric bikes were brill when it came to the inclines or a headwind. View from Mount Eden across the city and beyond was amazing. It was lots of fun and very relaxed, Eddie was a great guide and the headsets you wear are very non-intrusive and keep you informed about what you are seeing, plus instructions for stopping, turning etc.
When visiting new cities we like to do e-bike tours to get oriented and learn about some highlights of the city. This was one of the best tours we have been on. Our guide Reuben was excellent. He did a great job explaining upcoming routes and reminding us to keep left (good for those of us used to riding on the right). This company uses a wireless communication system so all riders could hear the guide - a first for us and really helpful.
This is the tour you should take when you first arrive in Auckland. The scenery and the information that's provided is exceptional. The e bikes are up to date models, easy to operate and fun to rides. Our tour guide Eddie made sure we were all comfortable with the operation of the bikes and had us take a quick test drive to assess our comfort with this type of bike. the bike paths in Auckland are amazing and due to this fact there was very little distance travel on the roadways.
Eddie was full of chat and useful information right from the start, making sure we were all comfortable and safe on our e-bikes as well as finding out each person's reason for being in Auckland and tailoring his facts (and jokes) to suit the audience. The bikes were very easy to ride and great fun, especially on what should have been an exhausting ride up Mount Eden but we didn't even break a sweat. Every stop had a great reason, with brilliant stories both historical and personal about the city and surrounding area. Eddie even pointed out nice places to visit, for food; drink and culture and at the end he sent us off with a detailed printed list of suggestions grouped by area to make then even easier to find. This was a fantastic tour from start to finish which showed us parts of the city we would never have found and taught us facts and history we would not have appreciated without Eddie's personal insight.
This was an excellent experience cycling around Auckland taking in the sites as well as getting an interesting history lesson from our guide Eddie.
Went on the 'Classic' 3 hour tour and loved it. Eddie is incredibly knowledgeable about the history and soul of New Zealand, and makes it interesting and fun. Also the ear pieces make it so easy to peddle and listen. It's a fantastic way to see the beautiful city of Auckland - it's an absolute must do! Tim and Sophie (UK)
Despite his Scottish heritage Eddie is a passionate and knowledgeable ambassador for Auckland and New Zealand. Great bike tour, great bikes and as a bonus I met my second wife on the tour!
The trip was awesome, the city was beautiful as viewed from many different locations. The tour guide was very informative, ear pieces allowed to continue to bike and listen to the knowledgeable narrator. Well worth your time in Auckland.
If you’re visiting Auckland, skip the bus and book a tour with Power to the Pedal. We spent a few hours exploring the city with Eddie, and it was easily the highlight of our trip. Auckland is famously hilly, but these e-bikes make those inclines feel like flat ground. We covered so much more territory than we ever could have on foot, from the stunning waterfront and the iconic "Pink Path" (Te Ara I Whiti) to the top of the volcanic peaks for the best views in the city. Eddie is incredibly knowledgeable about Auckland’s history and geography. He kept the group safe, kept the pace perfect, and felt more like a local friend showing us around than a formal tour guide. A huge bonus was the communication after the tour. Eddie sent over a GPS animation of our entire route, which was such a cool way to relive the ride and share it with friends. It shows exactly where we went and how much ground we covered. Verdict: Top-notch bikes, a brilliant guide, and a unique way to see the "City of Sails." Don’t hesitate—just book it!
Such a great experience! The views of Auckland were beautiful and the e-bikes were top-notch. Eddie was a brilliant guide—super friendly and shared some really interesting history about the area. A perfect mix of sightseeing, learning, and fun. 10/10!
Our family had an absolutely wonderful time - despite the rain. Eddie is a great guide, and being able to hear him talk while riding was very nice. We would take this tour again in a minute!
A great way to see parts of Auckland, which otherwise you may not have the opportunity to see. Easy cycling round the city with Matt, a very knowledgeable guide.
A really cool experience seeing hilly Auckland on an electric bike in a small group all equipped with audio. A dedicated team around us with Reuben as the lead and storyteller. Taking us through the history of Auckland while biking to all the highlights supporting the history. Going to the summit of Mount Eden and get a 360˚view of Auckland was really cool. Would not have missed it.
Fabulous way to experience the entirety of Very Hilly Auckland. A smooth trip on e bikes meaning you can listen to the comprehensive commentary on your ear piece without gasping for breath and desperate for a rest. Thank you Reuben and Eddie...
Eddie was a wonderful guide! Learned a lot of history. Great instruction about bikes and safety. Loved the ear phones enabling him to speak about what we were seeing as we rode along. Wonderful way to see the different areas around the city. Reaching the highest point in Auckland was a breathtaking view! Nice bikes. Great time!
We had a fabulous morning being guided by Eddie all around Auckland. We particularly loved around the marina and the views up at Mount Eden. Eddie also was so informative about the history of how the city evolved.
Absolutely loved the tour. The bikes were definitely the best we have used, loved the earpiece so we could always hear what our guide was saying. Had a blast. Best so far.
We had a fantastic 3 1/2 hour e-bike tour of Auckland with Carson from Power to the Pedal. Carson catered the tour to our 3 teenage kids, taking us to sights in Auckland city that would interest them, and then down the coast to St Heliers Bay, which is magical. Our kids love riding bikes at home and found the e-bikes so much fun and easy to ride. Carson gave lots of tips and information about the bikes at the start and throughout the ride making it super easy. Carson is very knowledgeable, super friendly, and clearly passionate about the city, sharing a great mix of history, local insights, and hidden gems we wouldn’t have found on our own. The tour was perfectly paced for our kids, giving us a real feel for Auckland rather than just ticking off tourist spots. A brilliant way to spend a few hours and an excellent introduction to the city. Highly recommended!!
My wife and I just did an EBike tour of Auckland on our first day here, with Eddie and Power to the Pedal. It was a very enjoyable experience and a great way to see and learn about Auckland. Eddie is a great tour guide and we would strongly recommend this activity John C Jones
Trip was excellent, hitting some beautiful viewpoints and filled with information, ebikes worked well, guides knowledgeable, very helpful and approachable - the location for the meet was the Power to the Pedal bike shop on Prince's Wharf and it is not as easy to find as you might hope, The trip is a must!
Great morning touring all the highlights & spectacular views from the top of the volcano & crater! Well organized, good bikes, safety first, lots of jokes & good humor.
Safety first with this group, the classic tour is a must! The ebikes are good quality and the guides knew their city for sure and we're very approachable.
