Overall an excellent trip. prompt pickup. good vehicle. very friendly and informative driver. time allotment for each activity was very apt. We enjoyed the trip very much.

An absolutely fabulous day even with the extremely early start. The tour guide/driver was very knowledgeable of the areas we drove through and the places we were visiting in Roturua. We were very pleased with the choice we made.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Our driver Jeff was very knowledgeable on New Zealand history and kept us entertained with fun facts. Visited the living Māori village Te Puia and was delighted to see kiwi birds. Would highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful day at Wai-O-Tapu and Te Puia and Grant our driver and guide for the day was an absolutely great guide so knowledgeable about the surrounding areas on our long drive to and from our hotel. Yes, it was an early start but in saying that the long drive, lunch and entrances into both attractions was well worth the money. On our tour there were only 5 passengers, so the experience seemed more intimate than having a full bus full of passengers. On our way back another tour bus had broken down at Te Puia so Grant helped our by taking their passengers back to Auckland. Thank you, Grant, for a wonderful day we hope to come back to Auckland again in the future.

Love the full Wai-O-Tapu experience. Interestingly tasty lunch. Relaxing hot tub with drinks in those surroundings. Sweet closure stopping for a local ice-cream taste and few snacks on the finally way back and safe drop off. Fair admission fee, length of visits and crowd size. Outstanding staff! Full of knowledge and charismatic! The best!

A fantastic day trip in and out of Rotorua, professionally done and with an experienced and entertaining guide. Our guide did well to get is all ready in the morning and give us good little breaks on the drive without losing time. Our group had multiple choices on the afternoon portion and the agenda was made fairly and with knowledgable consideration. Overall i would absolutely recommend the experience!

Perfect way to see the best of Rotorua in a day without feeling rushed at all. I opted for the Secret Spot Hot Tubs as my extra activity which I felt went perfectly balanced with Waiotapu - 3km walk around the thermal pools to a deep soak in the hot tub. Would highly recommend Cheeky Kiwi tours to anyone travelling to NZ, our tour guide Matt was lovely and very knowledgeable about everything about the North Island. A big thank you to John for such an enjoyable tour! It was a long journey, but he kept us entertained with fun interactive activities and interesting stories about New Zealand, making the time fly by. Water and snacks were also provided on the bus. Alessandro was the best tour guide ever. We got picked up and dropped off at our hotel, which was so convenient. The geo thermal park, Wai-O-Tapu, and the Te Puia tour were fantastic. Alessandro was informative, friendly, and a great driver. The lunch at Rotorua stop was delicious. We had smash burgers and fries. We had restroom breaks to get coffee and pastries and a stop for ice cream on the way home. He wanted to get to know his guests, treated us like family, and shared some of his background with us. It made the whole day a wonderful experience. Well worth the money.

Another wonderful tour with Cheeky Kiwi! We were able to pick the activities that suited us for Rotorua. We enjoyed wandering Waiotapu and then soaking and the Secret Spot hot tubs. Excellent lunch provided. Well worth the price. Big thanks to Grant for lots of great info on the places we were visiting and making everything run so smoothly.

Communication with tour company and tour guide were great. Transport was a very comfortable van and stops for morning /afternoon tea offered at great locations. The guide was friendly,interactive, flexible and informative on culture and community. I had a great day

I booked with Cheeky Wiki Tours the most expensive option for the Rotorua, Wai-O-Tapu, and Te Puia tour with lunch, specifically to include the dancing performance. It was a significant expense for me, but I paid it because it was my first and only time visiting New Zealand. At the end of the tour, we hadn't seen the haka or any of the dances, and I was told it wasn't included. To make matters worse, when I complained, the guides/drivers made the other members of the group agree with the tour. Then I understood the meaning of an email I had received; it was obvious they hadn't had enough people for the tour I booked, so they decided to put me on a cheaper one, taking advantage of the fact that I'm an older woman traveling alone. The guides couldn't believe what I had paid for that tour when I showed them (although they never gave me a receipt, it was in my bank account).

The tour was great! We got to witness amazing landscapes, learn more about Māoris’ history and culture and enjoy both fun and relaxing experiences. Our guide John was very knowledgeable and with great sense of humour, as well as super organized giving us a day to remember with his jokes and great hospitality. I would definitely recommend the tour. P.S. on the wonderland, if you are a fast walker go for the green walk too, it’s worth it.

It was my husband and myself as there was no other booking . Cheeky kiwi was so kind enough not to cancel the tour. Our driver cum guide MAX made us feel like a VIP. He took great care of us and made sure we were well fed and rested in the van . He also offered us snacks. The drive was long and while we slept, he made sure to give us a safe and smooth ride. The company was also very responsive and made all communications seamless. Strongly recommended if you are looking for not good but GREAT guides for your day trip in Auckland.

Our Rotorua Highlights Tour was a great experience. The geothermal sites in WaiOTapu including the Champagne Pool were amazing. The Redwoods Treewalk, which was part of the Rotorua tour, was a very unique experience. Our tour guide was quite knowledgeable and informative and went out of his way to make the day trip a memorable one for us. The drive to Rotorua and back was scenic with breathtaking views of rolling hills and sheep and cows. We highly recommend it. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Another well planned Cheeky Kiwi tour! I have previously visited the other usually offered Rotorua activities so I was really glad to find an offering to go to the redwood skywalk. As someone from California I never cease to be amazed at these trees and it was really fun to get the viewpoint from higher up. Our guide Simon was fantastic as was the lunch offering.

A lot of walking and a lot of geothermal features. The tour was very well organized. The lunch place we stopped at was great. Dave, our tour guide, was PHENOMENAL. Would absolutely take any of his tours again.

This ended up being my first tour in New Zealand. After grabbing coffee at a stopover, we started the day with a 90 minute trail at Wai O Tapu followed by lunch. We capped off the day with a dip at the different mineral pools in the Polynesian Spa. Amazing experience with a view of the lake just ahead. Thanks, Simon, for being such an informative guide!

John our guide is full of nuggets of information about the Maoris and history of the places we visited. Gave us just the right amount of time to explore and also made sure that we got back to our hotels on time. While the entire trip was more than 12 hours in total, it didn't feel that long because of how engaging John was.

A great experience not to be missed! All was very well organised, pick up on time, making it a most enjoyable day with memorable highlights. My booked trip had to be re-arranged due to low numbers and the e-mail contact was excellent. Our driver Michael was brilliant and a great source of knowledge about NZ. It is definitely worth travelling in a small group and I shall be recommending Cheeky Kiwi to my fellow travellers.

This was a great tour for our family. We had a Hobbiton tour day before and it was also very enjoyable but somewhat rushed. This gave us a plenty of time to enjoy natural hot spa and just relax, followed by the beautiful redwood walk. Liam was great, very informative and also gave us the quite time for the ride from and to Auckland. We finished a second part of tour early enough so he dropped us at Rotorua center where we explored streets of downtown while he went to pick up rest of the group from their activity. I would definitely recommend Cheeky Kiwi and this tour.

The tour guide, John, is more than excellent. He is professional, experienced and talkative. Apart from the tour information, he has also provided with us restaurants information, sightseeing places and most importantly delicious ice cream. My wife and I are extremely happy with the day tour organized by Cheeky Kiwi, particularly under John's tour guidance.

Our guide and driver, Mark, was fantastic. The things he shared were interesting and made my tour richer. At first I worried there wouldn't be enough time at the spa or the WaiOTapu but there turned out to be ample time. I enjoyed the stops on the way up and the way back. It would have helped to know beforehand we would make a stop for coffee and other stops so I didn't try to bring extra food and drink. We had a friendly group of tourists that were fun to meet.

The tour was definitely a long one so definitely be prepared. For the optional tour we chose a cutual experience. Our trip was filled with cultural information and we got to learn about the Kiwi conservation program. Grant was our guide and was super caring and kind. He made sure to check in throughout the tour and ask how you were. He made the trip worth it.

Liam, our guide, was great, entertaining and knowledgeable, and we saw so many amazing things! We were picked up right at our hotel (we picked it partly because it was on Cheeky Kiwi's list of pickup spots), and there were only about 5 or 6 of us in our group, each doing a different combination of things around Rotarua, so we also got a quick view of the parts we didn't fully participate in as we dropped off or picked up the others. We saw Wai-O-Tapu and Te Puia, and both were fascinating. Got to see kiwis at Te Puia, and the geyser and the craft school. Liam also took us to a few other side stops on the way there and back. Highly recommend Cheeky Kiwi for making doing the big touristy stuff super easy! Everything is included in the price except for buying your own lunch, if you don't bring one along with you.
