Private Vineyard Bush Walk Tour In Waiheke Island

What a great experience from beginning to end. Our guide Justine met us at the ferry and started our day with an amazingly beautiful walk. From there we went to a gorgeous vineyard, an olive tasting experience (which she threw in last second) a beautiful picnic lunch and then back to another vineyard with the most gorgeous view. I would highly recommend this adventure and for sure request Justine!!!

An amazing day on Waiheke with Justine! Bush walk tour was first and she was fantastic talking about the island and all it has to offer. Then two vineyards (Mudbrick and Cable Bay) plus Justine packed us a picnic lunch on the beach. We also had some extra time and she booked a quick tour and tasting of olive oil at Allpress. I can’t recommend Justine enough…she is terrific!!

We were disappointed to wake up on our first full day in New Zealand to be greeted by a passing cyclone. At first it appeared all ferries were understandably cancelled but for some reason we were able to get on one! Our guide, Maria, was waiting for us at the ferry terminal on Waiheke and off we went despite the torrential rains. Maria's familiarity and love for her island was evident from our first minutes with her and although some adjustments were made to the tour because of the weather, it turned out to be fabulous! Her knowledge and enthusiasm made for the most interesting day. We were taken to beautiful beaches and vistas, had a wonderful lunch, enjoyed the winetasting at Mud Brick and learned so much about Waiheke and New Zealand from her. A great introduction to this beautiful place! Towards the end the sun came out and Maria was able to take us on a hike through a native forest as she explained many of the plants and animals. Fascinating! We will never forget this special day, thank you!

Great day spent with our tour guide, Lisa. We took a lovely hike through the area while she pointed out native plants and birds, along with the uses of the plants. We then toured two vineyards and enjoyed wine tasting before going to a scenic lookout spot for a picnic lunch. Definitely a great thing to do for a half day on the island.

Fantastic experience. Our guide, Cindy, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the island, its history, flora and fauna and its culture and traditions. Cindy was very happy to adapt our tour to suit us and the weather conditions.

It was a well guided and fun one day tour of the Island…there were two couples and a private guide, Justine, who was amazing…we really enjoyed her and learned a lot about the island and New Zealand

We had a great day on the island! After the ferry ride over, we were met by our guide, Renee, who was fantastic. She led us on a very scenic walk along the coast followed by a wine tasting and picnic lunch. As a native New Zealander, Renee was able to provide us with good background on the Auckland area, as well! 

Dell provided a well organized, informative,guided experience on the Bush walk and wine tastings. Along with a picnic lunch on a shady table on the way to the wine tastings. It is a fairly easy hike with spectacular view of the bay. Dell shared a lot of information about the environment, flora and fauna.

Justine was lovely and personalized the day for our group. Gorgeous day and views and lovely wine tastings! We had the best time.

Great tour and we really liked our guide Justine. She is very knolegable, friendly and kind. The tour was a good mix of both the beach/water and the interior bush country.

This was our first full day in New Zealand. We had just arrived the evening before after a long trip from the eastern US, so we were very tired and jet lagged. We can't recommend this day trip from Auckland enough as a way to get started. Robyn was a wonderful guide. The views were fabulous and the wine tastings a lot of fun. Highly recommended and worth the price!

Justine planned and conducted a wonderful outing for four of us (two couples) on Waiheke Island, visiting two vineyards (and eating lunch at a third). This was all planned at the last minute after international flight disruption. So, Justine had to shift our reservations. Everyone was very accommodating. The four of us are curious travelers and ask many questions of those pouring the wines, but Justine kept us more or less on schedule. She was also very patient and generous in answering our many questions about the history of New Zealand, the cultural climate, the flora and fauna. She’s very personable, fun to spend time with. It would have been great to sit down with her at the end of the day and have a pint of ale instead of a sip of wine.

Our hike and wine tasting experience was exceptional. It was the perfect tour for a first day in country! The scenery was simply stunning/beautiful and our guide, Barbara, was the best. Very knowledgeable and so much fun to spend the day with. We highly recommend Terra and Tides Vineyards and Bush Walk......ask for Barbara, she's the best!!!

Spent the day on Waiheke with our tour guide Justine. Beautiful weather and the scenery was a 10 out of 10. Justine took the time to inform us on the plant and animal life and was super fun. We did two tastings and we really enjoyed our tasting at Mudbrick and finished with a picnic lunch at the beach.

What a perfect way to see and learn about the island. Views were amazing, wine tasting was delicious and Lucy was very knowledgeable and super friendly.

Our delightful guide Robyn gave us a terrific intro to NZ fauna, flora, geology and wines. A relatively easy hike with beautiful views and two lovely vineyard stops. Fantastic jet lag buster and very highly recommended.

We really enjoyed this tour both for the beautiful views and the wine tasting. A highlight however, was the olive oil tasting at Allpress. We actually had a number of olive oils shipped home. Justine was a wonderful tour guide, both for her bubbly personality and knowledge of the area. She also worked hard to make sure that the tour was everything we wanted including making sure that we tried a wine that may now have been on our list, but was something I wanted to try.

Dell, our wonderful guide showed us the beauty of Waheke on walk that took us through nature and with magnificent coastline views. Her knowledge of the island and it’s history added beneficial interest to the day and we also enjoyed Dell’s humour . Thank you 🙏

We had a wonderful guide, Cindy, whose knowledge of the local plants and animals added enormously to our tour that took in beautiful countryside and spectaular views together with a couple of fabulous wine tastings . Her knowledge of the Maori culture and history also gave us a fascinating insight into how New Zealand is today.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful day combining a scenic bush walk with visits to local vineyards, and it was a truly memorable experience. The bush walk itself was a peaceful escape. Justine was incredibly knowledgeable and made our experience wonderful! We learned so much about Waiheke Island. During the walk, we made our way to two nearby vineyards. The wine tasting was fantastic, with knowledgeable wine guides guiding us through a selection of wines. Justine took the best care making sure we were on time to our time slots. It was the ideal day for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy both the beauty of the island and the pleasures of wine. Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful retreat with a touch of luxury!

Everyone in our group loved this private guided tour! Our guides went out of their way to accommodate everyone in our group. They were knowledgable, outgoing and friendly. The views from the peaks of our hike were amazing! The two wine tastings and our picnic lunch at the beach were the perfect cap to our morning hike. It seemed to us that many visitors to Waiheke opt for larger group tours or bike rides. For us having our own guide and being able to go at our own pace made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. Plus we got to know our guides a bit, and that was a pleasure all unto itself.

We were unable to catch the 9am ferry so Justine adjusted the tour time and waited for us. She was thoughtful and we learned a lot from her about Waiheke, NZ, and some Maori culture. We also love the food and we had a nice spot for the picnic lunch overlooking the beach. It was my birthday that day, she was very sweet and went beyond our expectations to make sure we are comfortable and enjoyed the tour.

This tour was more than I could imagine. Gabrielle was so knowledgeable about the island and is a legendary local. She showed us a phenomenal time and made us feel like locals too. I highly recommend Gabrielle, you can't get better than her!

We took the vineyards and bush walk around Waiheke. I don't really like bus tours and this was a nice option. A little longer walk than advertised but very slow easy pace. Great views and 2 winery stops. Good guide.
