Brilliant way to see Devonport - Segway was fun and the views were amazing! Due to building work taking place at Mt Victoria Pauline suggested we go to North Head instead - which was fantastic. Pauline was great, we had time to practice and get comfortable on the Segway and we got some great local info on the tour.

What a fun day and perfect way to explore Devonport. We toured around the harbor area before heading up to Mount Victoria for sweeping views of Auckland. The Segway was fun, as always and can cover so much ground!

Magic Broomsticks Segway Tour is an excellent way to see a lot of Devonport (Auckland and environs) in a very short time, whilst having a lot of fun. Pauline is a fount of local knowledge and history and is an extremely professional and re-assuring teacher and guide. She assured me she’d never fallen off! The tour covered a very safe urban street and park route, with fabulous shore paths and fun but easy hill climbs to experience great views across the harbour and city districts.

Incredible experience! You should definitely do this excursion. Pauline has been doing this for 16 years and she is the best. It was my first Segway but it was easy to master. She was cognizant of our safety and even rode tandem with my friend (held her Segway when they went up hill).

This little tour was the perfect introduction to Devonport. The tour guide (and owner) Pauline was very warm and friendly and very knowledgeable on the local area. She made sure I (first time on a segway) was feeling confident on the segway before heading off on the tour. Segways are a fantastic way to see the city and were easier to ride than I was expecting. The city was lovely and the views from the top of Mount Victoria are stunning. There is no way I could have made it to the top on foot, so this was the perfect way to get there. Highly recommend taking this tour!

We had an amazing tour guide who shared alot of history of the Devonport area. She gave clear, easy to follow instructions for familiarising us with the Segways. The stops along the way were great for photos and the view from the top of Maungaiuka (Mt Victoria) were fantastic.

We arrived at the tour desk and was greeted warmly by the tour lady. Unfortunately, it was raining quite miserably and we agreed to wait for another 30 mins to see if the weather improved. We came back and it still rained on. It forecasted to rain all day and we decided to cancel our tour reluctantly. The lady was lovely and we wished we could try again.

Pauline was a great guide and gave us a fabulous tour of the North Auckland area and Mt Victoria. The Segways were in good condition and everything went as planned.

Pauline was so friendly and fun and made sure everyone was comfortable on their Segways before we began our tour. During the tour, we rode along the coastline of Devonport, then through neighborhoods and up to the peak of Mt. Victoria. Pauline shared the history and pointed out interesting things of the area around us as we went along. Once at the top of Mt. Victoria, we had ample time to enjoy the spectacular view, including the Auckland skyline, and to take photos. Thank you, Pauline!

Segways are a kick to ride. At 66 years old, I had no trouble learning to ride and our guide was very knowledgeable and safe. She had to practice for a bit on uneven ground knowing that our path would take us on grassy and bumpy terrain. At first I was a bit intimidated even though I've ridden one many years before, but with the practice, I felt confident. Our guide was also the owner and she was very friendly and talked with passion about her home town. We got to chatting so much that we had to hurry to get back to catch our ferry back to Auckland to catch our cruise ship. I would recommend this experience for teenagers and above and certainly for seniors.

We had a wonderful afternoon with Pauline, owner of this company. She expertly guided us through all sections of Devonport, occasionally stopping to explain the architecture and history of the area she clearly loves. We ascended Mt Victoria and viewed this beautiful city from the top. This was a relaxing and educational experience.

Pauline was an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, approachable and friendly guide. She knows her stuff and she made sure that the tour was done as safely as possible. As I was the only participant, I basically ended up with a privately guided tour around Devonport and up to Mt Victoria that ended up running for an additional 1/2hr. I definitely didn’t mind running a little late boarding the cruise ship. Definitely plan on booking the North Head tour when I’m next in Auckland. Also plan on telling family and friends about Magic Broomstick Segway Tours and Pauline (owner & tour guide). So pleased that I found this tour and that the hours of the tours suited the timeframes that I had.

I have loved to join Segway tours whenever I travel, because it saves walking and it gives me an introduction to the city from the guide. This guided Segway tour is awesome, because the guide has shown us around Devonport with the Segway, with historical/ world war things to see. The view from Mt Victoria was great, it's worth the walk uphill but it's better with Segway.

Such a fun activity. It rained on our tour but the owner still made it such fun. Despite the rain, it was still one of our favorite activities! Highly recommend! It’s a nice way to see Devonport and the top of Mt Victoria with its amazing views. We hadn’t used Segways before but training is provided and it’s easy to learn.

What a fabulous little excursion to a very pretty destination. Devonport is picturesque and Pauline our Segway tour guide shared lots of stories about the history of the area. The Segway ride was fun and the ride to the top of mt Victoria was spectacular. Highly recommend!

Pauline was a fabulous guide . We were worried about riding a Segway but Pauline was fantastic at showing us not just how to ride but we loved it ! Pauline clearly loves Devonport and showed us what a lovely place it is . It was also a great way to see Mount Victoria . The views were stunning . I can’t rate this tour highly enough and it was a real highlight of our holiday . Thank you Pauline !

My father and I traveled to New Zealand and both have done segway tours previously, so signed right up when we saw this. We had a great time doing this activity - the guide shared very interesting information about the area and the segways seemed brand new. They were easier to use than ones I used previously, and we loved that she kept the group small (only 4 in our group, max she takes out is 6). We would definitely do this again!

There is no better way to get around than with a Segway; there is no better way to see Mt Victoria and Devonport than with Pauline and Magic Broomstick Segway Tours. The equipment is in excellent condition; the operator safety conscious but not overly restrictive. The knowledge that Pauline has is amazing and very informative. The time spent all too quickly and was totally enjoyed by us all. The scenery was breathtaking. Highly recommend the experience

Quick and easy ferry trip across from downtown Auckland to Devonport. My wife and I love Segway tours and this was another top notch one. Magnificent views across to Auckland. Blessed with perfect weather. Great way to also learn some Devonport history. Definitely recommend.

We caught the ferry to Devonport to join the tour. Pauline was waiting and after patiently training us how to stop, go, turn and get off we were ready to start our adventure. The time went so fast and Pauline is better informative about the local history. I would definitely recommend, it was such fun

Not quite Macbeth as there were 4 of us but we couldn’t resist a giggle with some witches hats ..... magic broomstick tours! Our Delightful host Pauline was both knowledgeable and fun as well as patient as we learned how to master our segways .. it’s was easy as she promised it would be. Fantastic fun and a really great way to see sights we’ve been driving past for years. Try it yourself you won’t be disappointed

Truly a fun experience. I was nervous to begin with but Pauline gave thorough instructions and tested our ability. Then we were off! Was given local knowledge of the area which was great. Loved seeing the old villas (homes) - beautifully restored. Two hours flew by. It’s a great outing. Catch the ferry from Auckland to Devonport which adds to the experience. Segway tours are located in the ferry terminal and at the beginning of the Devonport village. Grab fish n chips and eat them on the beach or sit in the park. Follow up with an ice cream . Really good value for young and old. Awesome day.

OMG this was so much fun . It was a beautiful day and my son and I went Sewaying up Mount Victoria and around Devonport. It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be . If you have been a snowboarder or skier then you will find it very easy. Good balance is all you need. Our tour guide was amazing. Sorry I can’t remember his name. But he was originally from Ohio . I will definitely be doing this again

we were in Auckland for a cruise and decided to take a tour. had so much fun we did a second tour after we got off the ship. Pauline and Martin were fantastic guides with a wealth of knowledge about the history of everywhere we went. everyone visiting Auckland should take the ferry to Davenport and take a tour with Magic broomstick it will is time well spent. first class organization!! the views from different places are outstanding!! Ive always wanted to try segways but thought it was pricey and you dont really go far. Well after getting pounded by so many hills in Auckland i cannot state just how refreshing it was to do this tour and pack so much in without walking. The history component was great and our guide Jack filled us in on local information. We covered quite a lot of ground in our 1.5hrs and I was impressed just how well the segway handled the hills. Without doubt, the jewel in the crown was the stop at Mt Victoria summit. This is a spectacular view of the harbour and views back to the city. I suggest taking the short 10min ferry ride to get here.

We started with an excellent review of how to ride a segway by Pauline and Tour Guide Jack, who were both amazing! Jack gave great explanations of local area history and the sites along the route and was very attentive as we crossed different terrain. Riding the segway was very easy with their excellent insruction. The views along the way were beautiful. The highlight was riding to the top of Mt Victoria with the amazing views of the Auckland skyline and the large gun emplacement which was set up to ward off a Russian attack that never occurred. :-) I should note that one of our group felt ill (not from the tour) and Jack and Pauline handled the situation - and her return to the terminal - with utmost caring. We recommend this tour highly!!!!

Lots of fun seeing Devonport and going up Mt Victoria. Just to note they have a set route that they follow and there were only 2 of us on this tour which was for 1&1/2 hrs. We were back at the starting place 20mins early and so then we asked to have our full time on the Segway but ended up spending the last 20mins just going up and down the foreshore.

I would highly recommend this tour, it was worth every cent! This was our first Segway experience, and it was a fantastic way to spend our morning as a family! We learned a lot about the history of Devonport and found Pauline to be fun and informative tour guide.

My daughter (16) and myself decided to go to Devonport and do a Segway tour. Our guide, James, was very knowledgeable and helpful. A fun way to see the town with great views from the top of Mt. Victoria.

This segway tour was so much fun! We all enjoyed it so much. Our guide was amazing and she was very knowledgeable about the history of Devonport. I would highly recommend this tour. Even if you have never ridden a segway before she is very patient with newbys!

There were 5 of us ranging in age from 17 to 78, after some tuition in the quiet area of the pier we were off! Pauline gave us some local history and took us through the town, to a beautiful beach then up mt Victoria where you get great views of the Auckland skyline. I would recommend the trip even to people who can’t walk very far as you’ll get to see a lot more of the Devonport area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon of sightseeing on a Segway. Best way to get around town and up to the summit of Mt Victoria. Pauline was a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Highly recommended.
