Guided North Head Fort Segway Tour In Devonport Auckland

The trip was wonderful. Pauline was the perfect guide and very attentive to our safety while traveling on active streets a with bumps and pedestrians

Our guide Pauline was friendly, fun and informative. We had our 18 and 16 year olds with us and they think it was the best part of our holiday, all 4 of use had a fantastic time. The views along the coast and from the top of the north head are incredible. Highly recommended if you have a couple of hours free in Auckland.

We basically had a private tour with Pauline as 3 sisters and our husbands just off a cruise in Auckland. We are all over 65 but no worries, Pauline’s instructions were clearly understood and we had ample time and gentle reminders to get comfortable with our Segways before our tour took off from her office at the ferry terminal. We enjoyed a perfectly clear and sunny tour to the top of North Head and spectacular views with plenty of scenic stops along the way and a lots of local history of Devonport. We hated to go but not without leaving 5 BIG stars for our guide Pauline. <3

Our instructor was fabulous, very informative and personable and answered all of our questions. Maybe would have preferred a little more through the city neighbourhoods and sights, vs so much time on the military history.

Pauline was knowledgeable and a lot of fun. We highly recommend this excursion as a fun way to explore.

We had a great time with Pauline as our guide. We practiced the segway on the pier and when e felt comfortable off we went. We learned a lot about the island and went all around on the segway. Pauline was very knowledgable since she is a local and we loved seeing lots of different spots on Devenport. The shop is easy to find right after you exit from the ferry in the terminal. We were on a cruise ship and easy to get on a ferry, do the tour and get back in time. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide Pauline was exceptional! She was very understanding with our late arrival and very patient throughout the entire experience. My mother is 73 years old and was nervous but really loved the entire tour. Pauline customised everything and we loved the commentary, scenery and history! I would recommend this to everyone! The day was drizzly and overcast. The lovely Magic Broomstick team and I braved the weather and had a fantastic time! Our guide was friendly, informative and knowledgeable about the area. She was able to answer questions and tell delightful anecdotes. The riding instructions were clear and at a pace that suited. I highly recommend this for a wonderful way to discover more about a beautiful place. The views were breathtaking, riding was fun and the company was just brilliant.

A rave review for Pauline of Magic Broomstick segway tours in Devonport. We did the North Head tour and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of Pauline's commentary, insight and knowledge. We stopped frequently to discuss local history, sights and events - Pauline quickly adapted her tour to our interests - and never felt rushed or as though we were wasting time. We travelled along the waterfront, up to North Head, explored the fort on foot as well as by segway with a brilliant view of yachts racing in the harbour and Rangitoto Island. Downhill we went to Cheltenham Beach, the Devonport Museum, Mt Cambria Park and back to the ferry terminal. We are experienced riders but we knew we were safe under her direction. The advertised tours are spot on in terms of destinations, highlights and time. We were on tour for two and a half hours.

This was such a fun experience and lots of information on the history of the area as we went along. Good small group of people. Loved the time you get in the park to have a blast around on the Segway. Would highly recommend this as a fun experience and worth the trip to Devonport to do it. If I was going again would take the ferry from the City to add to the experience.

Great guide/owner, knowledgeable, patient. Wonderful views of the harbor. We did the 2 hr tour which included the fort overlooking the harbor and Auckland. Tour office is in the harbor terminal. Cover a lot of ground with less effort.

What a great tour! First time on a Segway, but it won’t be the last. We received great instruction, and a great tour from the owner. We were in Auckland on a cruise. Took the 10-minute ferry ride to Devonport and the tour operator’s office was steps from the ferry when we got off. Have been to Devonport multiple times. Great place to visit when in Auckland.

Really lovely way to see the many sights of Devonport. Pauline the tour operator in charge was lovely. And very patient !! Teaching us how to safely use the Segway , enabling us to get the most out of the tour. Would highly recommend

We had a terrific time on the Segway tour to North Head. We had no prior experience but that was no problem as Pauline taught us the ropes in no time. She was a font of knowledge about the history of the area and made the tour feel very personal and authentic. Highly recommended!

We’ve done a few of these before and enjoy the experience. Having just come out of lockdown in NZ we were the first visitors for a while and the only two on the tour. Pauline was our guide and she did a great job showing us around. We have been to the area before so we’re familiar with some of the sights but it always helps to have some inside knowledge from a local. The weather was great and we had some wonderful views from the top of the volcanic cones. One if the highlights for us was the sights around the back streets of Devonport to see all the beautiful old Villas . We wouldn’t have gone there even on foot so it was a wonderful surprise and again inside knowledge helped. We’d recommend this trip, segways are great fun and this one is extremely safe and very enjoyable.

Such a great experience! I had never been on a Segway before but before we left for the tour, we ran through how to drive them and did some manouvers. Pauline took me for the tour she was brilliant! Explained the history of the area to me. It was a fun way to see the area and learn about some history too. Got to see a lot of things and stopped to explore the hidden tunnels and there were many opportunities to take photos. Great experience and something I definitely recommend!! Thank you Pauline!
