John our driver and tour guide was excellent very friendly and knowledgeable

Our driver was changed last minute from Babu to John and he was late due to the Marathon which made us very stressed as we had to get back early enough to meet a second pm astour. A small hiccup that John was able to fix by rushing a little bit. Nice comfortable car with water provided. Solid service by John. As for the destination, me and my husband enjoyed it but found it somewhat underwhelming. Expect a somewhat strenuous hike to see some waterfalls and a time consuming drive to see a nice black sand beach with views of lion head mountain and some of the dormant volcanoes around. I’d suggest to really watch the 12 min video in the visitor’s center (my favorite and most informative part of the tour) John provided lots of info that gave us a good perspective of the local culture and history. I think this tour is made for people who prefers to be driven around. If made longer one could enjoy a hike at Lion Mountain. The waterfalls are too slippery to actually walk and swim in comfortably. If you don’t plan on hiking (we didn’t) this should be a short drive back and forth to Black Piha beach. We enjoyed it but maybe this is more fun if made shorter or a full day tour.

ENZOY tours understand great customer service from start to finish. A small half day tour of the black sand PIHI area and waterfall was truly great. My wife and I enjoyed the tour. Ambrose and his wife real understand customer service. There is still many things to experience and do in New Zealand. We will seek them out next time we are going to holiday in North Island. Cheers

Great experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Lush greenery and peaceful surroundings with a gorgeous waterfall waiting for you. The Piha Beach snd Lions Rock was breathtaking too.

Great to get out of the city and into nature. Waterfall was amazing with an opportunity to get some exercise, black sand beach + Lion Rock was great for photos and to enjoy some fresh air and views. And, I’ve stocked up on lots of fun facts to share about the animals and foliage we came across. John was a fantastic guide. Definitely recommend! Just a heads up - the road in and out is quite curvy, so for those who have trouble with car sickness, consider taking some motion-sickness medication ahead of time!

We had an amazing tour with Babu. There were only the two of us so had a very pleasant comfortable drive to the falls and the beach in Babu's car. Babu was kind and very knowledgable and easy to chat to. The walk to the falls is about 3km, Babu took us on the newer gentle boardwalk with a shorter length of the more steep walking path and steps compared the original route. Bottom of steps was a little muddy so best advice is to have good all weather non slip footwear just in case. Beautiful falls, spots for good photos and plenty of time to enjoy the black sands and Lions Rock at Piha beach.

Babu was awesome! He eas very knowledgeable and ensured everything was enjoyable, and kept a close eye on safety during the hiking portions. 10/10 guide! It was a perfect choice for my last day in Auckland with a late evening flight.

Communication with the tour company and guide during the day were great, comfortable transport, and time spent at locations were adequate and flexibile. The itinery stated at kitekite falls you could walk to the top or bottom, the top was not mentioned(not sure if it was possible?). The guide needed persistant affirmation to walk to the bottom with me but i couldnt go only halfway. Ample time to explore at the Black beach and a quick stop for lunch. A great morning well spent

Highly recommend this tour and our guide Babu! He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable throughout the day. Hotel pickup and drop-off was a great convenience. We hiked through lush rainforest terrain, learning about the trees and birds along the way, before arriving at a breathtaking waterfall. Next was the stunning Black Sand Beach at Piha — a tranquil stretch of fine, glistening black sand. We finished at the Information Centre, where we sampled local honey, learned a bit about New Zealand culture, and enjoyed incredible views. An excellent experience from start to finish. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Such a great experience! I know this is advertised as a group experience, but I actually was the only person booked on and the tour still went ahead. Super knowledgeable guide and I got some incredible photos- and we even did an extra stop on the tour as I did the hike more quickly than a full group would have done. Definitely great value for money!

Babu was a fantastic tour guide. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel until the moment he returned us he was knowledgeable, patient and most of all, fun. The hike to Kitekite Falls was beautiful and Babu gave us much information about the rainforest and what we were seeing in front of our eyes. I would highly recommend this tour.

It was quite an enjoyable experience seeing the Kitekite falls and the Piha beach. We had a wonderful time! Babu was our tour guide. He was wonderful and helpful. It was just the three of us on this tour. We went to the falls first. If you have issues with your feet or other health conditions I don't think it's a good idea to do so. I got there half way and then I had to stop. We then went to the black sands and that was awesome. We also stopped at the Auckland visitor center.

This was the most amazing and beautiful travel experience of my life so far and my guide, Babu, made it more enjoyable than I could have imagined. He was so kind, knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to be with. I hope to visit this beautiful country and experience this again someday. Thank you so much.

Jim was excellent!!! He was a safe driver, knowledgeable about the areas in our excursion. He was pleasant, personable and communicated excellently. This was a delightful trip getting away from big city hustle and bustle and commune with nature.

We had a wonderful tour with Jim who was very knowledgeable and informative about the area we visited. At no time did he rush us and he gave us numerous rest stops at photo op locations.

Everything was beautiful and our guide was so much fun!! The itinerary was perfect. The hike is a lot of stairs and our guide was patient with the pace of some of our older friends! The only negative was that there were six adults in our party and while the van allowed for 7 passengers and driver based on seatbelts the person in the middle back was sitting on the hard edges of the other two seats and leaning against plastic arm rests that were folded up.

The beach and views are amazing, great tour that included a trip to two waterfalls. Si was an awesome host who was very knowledgeable.

We loved the waterfall. It wasn’t crowded at all and the views were beautiful. Jim was an excellent tour guide, gave us lots of insight about the island and recommendations for more things to see.

You are simply dropped off at the beach, then to the waterfalls. You are basically paying only for transportation. Pretty beach and falls, though! LOTS of steps to get to the waterfalls and rough, narrow passage a few places, so beware.

Sid was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable and helpful. Beautiful short hike to the waterfall, with large kauri trees and native silver ferns and palms. Saw eels swimming in the pool at the base. Black sand beach was breathtaking, but not swimmable due to rough ocean condition.

We loved this tour. Tour guide Jim was very informative. Perfect way to get out of the city to see what New Zealand has to offer. Highly recommend.

Wonderful guide, sid .he was very good answering questions. He was patient with my slow walking. We felt like we learned a lot.

It has been a dream if mine to one day put my toes in the ocean on the NZ coastline. Dream fulfilled & then some. It was cool & rainy, but Piha beach was still stunning. From the beach, we went to the Kitekite falls. The exertion level for the “walk” to the falls was a little underestimated. My partner & I, 64 & 66 were able to make it to the falls, but it was quite the hike. Luckily, we’re both in fairly decent shape. The trail to the falls included gravel, wooden walkways, steps-many, many steps and a bit of rock scrambling. Our guide, Douglas, was phenomenal! Great commentary while driving. Some NZ history, description of natural elements, and basic info along our route. He walked the path to the falls with us and made sure we were safe at all times. We were humbled to find out that he’s our age. Really great adventure, but be prepared; good sneakers or hiking shoes, a jacket, hat & rain poncho if you have one.

Jim was excellent tour guide, and work well with Sid, the driver. The hike to Kite Kite water falls was a bit challenging for my husband, but Sid was right there for us and helped us get thru to enjoy the beauty. Jim was very knowledgeable and his kind and friendly demeanor made us at ease. This was a part of Enzoy tour, and consistently deliver the excellent tours!

What a great tour! Kawal was absolutely fantastic. We ended up having a medical issue which detoured the experience of it, but my goodness our tour operator was absolutely brilliant with the way he handled the situation. The destination was gorgeous and our guide so knowledgeable. We were in an amalgamation of a group. We had senior citizens teenagers and individuals with Special Needs. There was something for everyone. Five stars. Would absolutely do this excursion again. And with this group. Top-notch professionalism.

The black sand beach and waterfall were gorgeous. There are a ton of steps up to the waterfall f that’s a worry for you. The driver does nothing but drive. We had a 5 minute taped commentary at first and then literally nothing after that. I expected a bit more commentary about the places we were going through or seeing. But it was a nice way to spend Christmas Day off the ship.

After a bit of a mess getting picked up the tour went smoothly. Douglas was very friendly and well informed. The sites visited were beautiful, but in the time we had it was hard to fully take them in. I would recommend going on a longer tour to Piha

We booked a tour to PIHA beach and waterfalls. The guide Syed was very punctual and had very good knowledge about the places we visited as well as about Auckland in general. After we visited the beach it started to rain and he was flexible to adapt the tour and we went to the Arakari visitor center and as rain stopped made a walk in the rain forest. Syed was very friendly and supportive. He dropped us on the way back at Ponsonby as we wanted to explore the area. I can recommend him and the tour.

LoVED the beach. Wonderful walk on the sand. Driver great but very windy roads (perhaps not great for anyone a bit nauseous). Waterfall lovely (from the bottom). Walk to top very enjoyable, but limited view of the falls from the top.

Visiting Auckland’s black sand beach was one of the highlights of my trip to New Zealand! The drive out from the city was scenic and easy, and as soon as we arrived, the view was absolutely stunning — dramatic cliffs, wild surf, and that striking black volcanic sand glistening in the sunlight.

Our tour guide Dinesh was brilliant. The tour itself was brilliant, I highly recommend adding this one to your list of things to do. Enjoyed the climb to the falls, made a good workout.

It was unclear what we were paying for. There was no guided tours at the 3 locations we visited. We essentially paid for a driver who was very helpful and filled in as well as he could. Be sure of your expectations before you book this tour. Our expectations were not met.

The sights were amazing; however the tour was disappointing. Our guide for the tour was very nice but had no experience with the sights and could not, therefore, give us any information. We book these tours as an informative and educational experience and not just a sight seeing endeavor. The hike to the falls was challenging but a beautiful climb. I would encourage all guides to be knowledgeable of the sights before guiding others.

We loved our trip! The guide was kind & knowledgeable and we had a great day exploring the Waitakere Region, in particular kitekite falls :)
