We had a fantastic time touring Waiheke Island with Joe’s tour! Every venue offered a delicious tasting or meal and we were very grateful to have a tour experience with Joe + the venue staff who had so much pride and knowledge of each venue we stopped into, and the island as a whole. We learned so much about the island during our tour and had an experience unlike what typical larger commercial tours have to offer the public. This tour experience felt personal and genuine. The WOW Tour with Joe was honestly one of the highlights of my trip! From the moment we booked, Joe was so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, even helping us with transportation tips. His local knowledge made the tour feel really special, and because it was a smaller group, we got to experience places and moments that larger tours simply can’t. Had a fantastic time exploring the lesser explored east side of the island. Our host Joe was so knowledgeable and helpful, and was also so kind throughout the entire tour. All the places we visited had delicious drinks, great stories behind their wines and spirits, and we left each place with a purchase because we just could not help ourselves. Would highly recommend this experience, and we feel so lucky we picked this tour.

Wonderful personalised day with Joe. We were the only two people on the tour. The island was unexpectedly quiet after Easter weekend. Joe picked us up from our accommodation. We saw a part of the island we would not have accessed without a car and visited a couple of small wineries. The olive oil place was fun and the gin tasting was in a spectacular setting. Lunch afterwards was excellent! Many thanks Joe.

Our group of 4 have been lucky to do food and wine tours around the world. This tour is as good as we’ve done anywhere! Our thoughtful and knowledgeable host, Joe, took care of every detail delivering us to places many tourists to Waiheke miss. Great food, great wine tastings and an amazing gin & vodka tasting experience.

Joe was so down-to-earth and welcoming. I felt at ease straight away and pumped for the day. He knows the region inside out and took us to vineyards and hidden gems most tours miss. The stories, history, and laughs made it a personal, unforgettable day — he really shows the real ‘wow’ of the place.

Waiheke is already gorgeous, but Joe showed us hidden spots we’d never have found ourselves. From quiet beaches to little vineyards, the stories and history made it so much more than a normal tour. Really gave us a proper taste of the region and the real ‘wow’ moments

This tour was the highlight of our trip to New Zealand. The wineries, olive oil farm, and the gin/vodka establishment were superb. The view from the gin/vodka tasting was amazing. A small (in our case 4 people) tour showed us off the beaten path to places that Joe particularly enjoyed. Joe was kind enough to limit the tour to 4 people, as our friends son expressed his love of New Zealand and wanted to move there, but unfortunately has passed away, Therefore, this trip to New Zealand was a tribute to their son.

This was a magical experience. Everything was 5 stars from our host, Joe, to the vineyards and transportation. The forecast predicted some wind and rain, so we dressed accordingly. Although not a typical summer day, it was still perfect. Joe was a fantastic historian and most gracious host. Was nice to start with bread and olive oil before moving on to gin, vodka & wine. I never knew I liked gin & tonic, until I had it at Waiheke Diistilling Co. The only thing better than the gin, vodka, and food there was the breathtaking view. Jasper Ridge was our third spot. Our host there was generous and pleasant. The wine was some of the best we’ve ever had and it was nice to try the same wine from different seasons (rainy vs. dry). At lunch they had a table facing the ocean for us. I had the best onion rings of my entire life. Skip the crowded mega bus tours and treat yourself to this more intimate experience. You will NOT regret it. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again next time we are in the area. Perfection!

If you want to get a taste of local Waiheke olive oil AND wine AND gin this is the tour you need to take! I found Joe to be an amazing guide - he's friendly and professional, and most importantly he has local knowledge of Waiheke Island as someone who lives there himself. The tour he provides gets you away from the crowds, and as well as the amazing variety of tastings he organises, you get to see some breathtaking views, and enjoy some great cuisine in a beautiful location. From pickup to dropoff, Joe was an incredible host and a wonderful ambassador for his fellow businessfolk on Waiheke Island. We thoroughly enjoyed the mix of tastings: olive oil, vodka/gin, and wine. The fact that the tour included lunch at a scenic restaurant took it all over the top. An additional plus is that Joe took us to the far side of the island--the less-visited place that made all our visits feel much more personal, since we weren't sharing them with tons of people (though hopefully, that will change in the future to benefit the businesses that chose to be a little distant from the tourist hub). Would highly recommend this tour. It's an incredible value for the money and Joe is a great choice as its host.

I was lucky enough to go on the inaugural WOW Tour and it did not disappoint! Joe was a fantastic host and has put together a stellar tour showcasing the best of Waiheke. Every stop looked after us like royalty! Unlike most tours WOW also includes stops on the Eastern side of the island, which in my option is the best as it’s less crowded and the views are stunning 👌🏼 I will definitely be back!

WOW what an experience. Different to the other Waiheke Tours I’ve taken. More intimate and a great selection of local businesses. The WOW team made the day special, from the olive oil tasting at Allpress Olives, the views and tasting at Waiheke Distillery Co, the stories behind Te Motu and Soho vineyards and finishing with a mouth watering lunch at Three Seven Two. This is locals show casing the best Waiheke has to offer.

Loved seeing the island from a locals perspective and experience some of those less visited spots. Our guide, Joe, was very knowledgeable and made sure we always had a wine in hand. Loved it!

Fantastic tour, so much more than just wines. The olive oil and distillery visits made for a brilliant start to the day, especially the incredible views from the lawn of the distillery - being off the beaten track also made this visit feel like a really special spot. The wineries were very well selected and felt like authentic and real Waiheke wineries - very personal and intimate with tastings hosted by entertaining and personable staff - we even got the owner from Te Motu taking us through his wines which was amazing. A full restaurant lunch seaside to finish the trip was outstanding, great food and another scenic and authentic feeling location. Joe was an incredible guide - clearly a very passionate local with great banter and exceptional knowledge. He made some recommendations that took me out of my comfort zone and really made the trip. Can't wait to come back and do it again!
