Had a great experience with JK, our tour guide. Very friendly lad who provides tons of awesome information and facilitates a wonderful culinary experience. Would definitely recommend- as we tried a lot of great bites and had a fun time in the process. Also they are very conscious of people’s allergies and dietary needs.

Amazing experience with Laura. She was fun and super knowledgable. Would definitely recommend!
No way to know what food was involved...not a fan on most. Extra options for wine can get pricey. So no review without a positive recommendation. Laura was great! Just off on no options.
Great food stops including some Michelin rated spots. Knowledgeable and engaging tour guide- Laura was great!
Great tour with excellent tour guide laura. Knew what she ws talking about.
Our tour guide JK and the food tour overall were both amazing! We had already been in the city for a few days but still learned things about the city from him. We also got to try some foods we hadn’t tried yet on our trip. JK was very knowledgeable about food and Auckland. There were 4 of us in our tour group, which was the perfect size. Would 100% recommend this tour to anyone coming to Auckland!
Have to admit, Initially was hesitant in booking this food tour over others as I thought the price was a bit high. After completing the five stop course I was thoroughly pleased with the places and samplings! Laura, our travel guide, was a joy and wealth of information! And even after the tour was completed, we continued onto the rooftop bar with spectacular view which Laura recommended. We also returned the next day to one of the tour stops for lunch. Without reservation, recommend!
Laura was a great tour guide. The locations offered great diversity and the tastes were delightful. Bravo
Great intro into Auckland’s food culture and restaurant scene . Kath was a wonderful tour guide and was very knowledgeable.
Excellent food tour. Food was amazing and Laura very knowledgeable and helpful.
JK was professional, knowledgeable, and very interesting. We enjoyed his commentary on the history of New Zealand paired with his extensive knowledge in the culinary arts. The restaurants we visited were exciting and local and we really fell in love with the Auckland food scene.
Fantastic afternoon! Wonderful food , great guide - totally recommend, don’t hesitate book now !
Great tour! Do it on your first day, it is a great introduction to Aukland. Laura was knowledgeable and fun!
We had the most amazing experience with JK, it was my wife and I and the whole experience was so well done, everything was seemless and JK was so knowledgeable and answered any questions we had, well worth the money and a lovely man. Thank you very much!
J.K. was our guide. He was very friendly and very excited to introduce us to the Auckland food scene. He ws very knowledgeable about the local wines, and introduced us to the different wines of New Zealand. The walking tour was very well done. J.K. give us a good history lesson on Auckland and introduced us to some amazing foods. The tour itself is about 3 hours long, but it was very walkable. We sampled food at 5 different places and they all were very good. We highly recommend this tour, and if you get J.K. as your guide im sure you will too.
JK was friendly, knowledgeable and knows great food! Take this tour soon after you arrive in Auckland. JK will give you history about Auckland and other places where foodies go to eat.
We had JK as our guide. It was a really great way to spend the afternoon. He's a great foodie guide. He was a very interesting person and knows a lot about the topic and the history of New Zealand. The food stops were outstanding. Really, really fun! Highly recommend.
Only thing I would change is have one more place where alcohol is included with the tasting. Guide and food stops were excellent. Very informational.
JK was not only an excellent tour guide with vast knowledge of Auckland and New Zealand but he was a chef and an Executive Culinary expert at a local college so he knew great food. The food was nothing short of wonderful! He also shared thoughts on where to go to enjoy a cocktail and other meals.
Our tour guide Laura was fun, informative and very knowledgeable. I can tell Laura loves her job and that made the tour fun despite the weather (windy and rainy)
Amazing tour with amazing food. Got to try many restaurants that I would not normally have gone to without a guide. I even went back to some after the tour. Would recommend. They were very accommodating to food sensitivities/allergies.
Had a great time sampling some of Aucklands fare. Our tour guide JK was great.
Truly amazing experience! My partner and I were lucky to have the talented and knowledgeable Laura all to ourselves. We had the opportunity to sample various local fare as well as learn more about the city and it's food scene. This was a great way to not only get orientated, but to also gain an appreciation for the city's incredible restaurants and their history. Thank you so much Laura for the memorable experience! We highly recommend this experience to anyone!
What a great way to spend a damp afternoon in Auckland! Didnt know what to expect but it certainly exceeded expectation! Beautiful venues, delicious food and a knowledgeable and engaging guide JK. Really got a flavour of the diversity of Auckland food scene and only wish we were staying longer to taste more!!
JK was a great guide. I learned alot about the city and got to experience some great foods. Finding the pickup spot was a bit tricky as there was no signage saying we were in the right spot so maybe having the building name as well as the address could be helpful. I really enjoyed that there was a variety of foods and different settings. My two favorite stops were getting the dumplings in the commercial Bay food court and GOAT.
Delicious and informative introduction to some really cool, off-the-beaten-path restaurants in Auckland. Our guide, Laura, was super friendly and informative and flexible to accommodate our dietary preferences. We loved one of the restaurants so much (Vivace) that we went back for dinner a few days later! Super tour!
We spent an extraordinarily interesting and very culinarily delightful rainy afternoon with Kath. We travel a lot and always do a food tour both to learn about local culinary practices and to see different parts of the city we are visiting. Usually we do the tour on our first day in a city, but given travel planning, that did not happen, and we toured on our last evening. It did not matter. Kath asked us what we had seen, where we had been, and what we wanted to know, and she curated the tour. She was absolutely terrific. HIGHLY recommend.
JK was an outstanding guide of this delicious and thorough tour. We had a great time sampling the dishes of Auckland and learning more about the history of the food and region. 10/10 recommend!
JK was a thorough, delightful and knowledgeable tour guide. The food and stories were well worth the price of the tour. We would recommend this to anyone who wishes to get a taste of New Zealand.
An amazing afternoon of fab food, city insights and history. Our guide JK provided an insight to Auckland food scene, sharing his vast knowledge and insight with the small group. The local restaurants and eateries were friendly and welcoming. My teenager was amazed how quickly the time went! My only regret, not enough days in the holiday to go back and explore all the recommendations and revisit all the favs from the tour.
Laura was a great ambassador for Auckland! Excellent guide, small group and some stunning NZ produce at really cool places! Highly recommended!
Laura was very knowledgeable about the food scene, took us to excellent restaurants specializing in a wide range of food (Szechuan pork dumplings, oysters and mussels, Indian cuisine, NZ cheeses, and locally made gelato), and conducted a well-paced tour. She was fun to be with and knew a lot about the city and its history and architecture and was willing to answer any questions we had about NZ.
We had a wonderful time with JK. He was so knowledgeable in the history of NZ, which me and my family enjoyed. The food was absolutely delicious, and he gave great recommendations for restaurants to check out during the rest of our stay. We highly recommend this tour. Maybe do it the first day, that way you have a list on where to eat and sites to check out.
Kath was a great guide. She mixed just the right amount of local history with the foods we sampled. The portions were just right. We really got a sense of the various cultures that have contributed to local cuisine.
We absolutely love embarking on food tours when we visit new places. It’s an excellent way to savor delicious cuisine and gain valuable recommendations. Our tour guide was incredibly informative, sharing fascinating insights into Auckland’s history. They also provided us with fantastic suggestions for restaurants and activities within the city.
Sarah was excellent and we really enjoyed our food tastings and learning about all the diverse cuisines that Auckland has to offer.
Cannot recommend this experience highly enough! Our tour guide, Sarah, was knowledgeable, kind, and fun. I especially enjoyed learning about the history and revitalization of the wharf area. The food itself was absolutely delicious, both adventurous and still maintaining quality and enjoyment. Each stop had its own flare and flavors, whether sweet or savory. I particularly enjoyed the tasting menu of seafood. There is a fair bit of walking, but easy access to rest stops at each location and restrooms as well. Highly recommend this tour!
This was an INCREDIBLE experience! Our tour kind, Sarah, was knowledgeable, kind, and had great information both about the food and the city in general. The food itself was delicious, and we went to a variety of spots that all had their own flare and flavor. The food was adventurous while still maintaining quality and enjoyment, and we learned so much about Auckland's history. I especially enjoyed hearing about the revitalization of the area around the wharf and how it has changed over time. Our small group was very friendly and got along well, and it was a great time all around. Highly recommend!
Don’t consider this a tour with meal. Had 5 stops with small appetizers and 2 small wine tastings. Guide was knowledgeable.
This experience is for those who enjoy fine food and learning about local history. There is some walking involved, but also lots of rest stops
Great mix of walking and trying new things. Sarah, our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Loved all of the tastings and would never have found these places on own. Highly recommend this tour.
Excellent tour guide, Laura. Gave us history, cultural insight and fun facts, while introducing us to some of the best food options in central/harbor areas of Auckland.
This tour was a real treat and Laura was a fantastic guide! Great stories and wonderful tastes of the hidden gems within walking distance of Downtown! We went at a good pace and were treated with a view of historic buildings and epic tastes of some top creations by super talented Chefs. Well worth your time to take this tour!
Best food tour ever! I try to do a food tour in most cities I visit and this was the best I’ve done. Really really incredible food. Laura was a wonderful guide. Highly recommend!
Great experience, delicious food and extremely friendly guide! Would 10/10 recommend to others.
Wonderful tour. Laura was a great guide. Lots of great info, fun conversations and entertaining. Good food at unique restaurants.
This was one of the standout experiences of our time in Auckland, and a big part of that came down to our guide, Laura. She was exceptional—warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about both the city and Māori culture. The way she shared stories and context along the way really elevated the whole tour. What impressed us most was the variety and quality of the food. We visited a range of restaurants and specialty spots that we simply wouldn’t have discovered on our own, and every stop delivered. The portions were generous, the produce was top quality, and there was a great mix—wine, gelato, cheese, seafood and more. In fact, we enjoyed one of the venues so much that we booked dinner there on the spot while still in the middle of the tasting—which probably says everything. The tour itself ran seamlessly. Laura’s experience showed in how smoothly everything flowed and how well we were looked after at each of the five stops. It felt relaxed, well-paced, and thoughtfully organised, with plenty of opportunities for breaks when needed. Having been to Auckland several times before, I wasn’t expecting to discover much that was new—but this tour proved me wrong. It gave me a deeper appreciation of the city and introduced me to places I’d never have found otherwise. Overall, excellent value for money and something I’d highly recommend.
Laura was our tour guide and we had an amazing time! It was my birthday and I had the best day. Laura knew a lot and even gave some good recommendations for the rest of our time in Auckland. The food during the tour was amazing. We had so many different cuisines. We absolutely loved every second of it.
“Kath” gave an excellent tour. Great knowledge of Auckland’s history and she was able to answer all our questions. Great food as well. However, she was very hard to hear. Perhaps she may want to consider a hands-free microphone to amplify her voice while outside.
Amazing food! Laura also included a little bit of history of the area as we traveled to the city! Great introduction to Auckland!
