Auckland City Highlights, Afternoon Piha Beach & Rainforest Tour

Annie was a wonderful tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. She pointed out things I would’ve not seen without her assistance.

Wayne and Noel were excellent tour guides. Very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Auckland. We got to see a lot and really got introduced to Auckland.

We were picked up at our hotel; they even came to find us at the other entrance since we misread the instructions. We did a 3hr city tour on a smaller coach. It was rainy, and we had rain gear with us, but the company also provided rain gear for those who did not. A few photo stops which were nice even in the rain. around noon, we transitioned to the wilderness tour, some of the same people and some new ones, so you can do all or part of the tour. We drove out to the West Coast of Auckland and did some sightseeing, stopped for some meat pies (we bought), stopped at a black sand beach, and took a short hike through the rainforest. Very enjoyable day.

Wonderful guides on both the morning and afternoon tours. Drove into interesting neighborhoods, gave historical significance and fun facts. Piha beach is beautiful and the rain forest walk was interesting and enlightening. Great way to spend a day in Auckland. Guides Murray, Mary and Warren were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and entertaining:)

We have a blast with this tour. The city tour in the morning was very informative and the group in the afternoon was great too. Noel took us through the rain forest and I was impressed with all the information he gave us. I would highly recommend this tour

Our morning and afternoon tour of Auckland was super enjoyable! Our guides, Kelly and Peter were very knowledgeable and nice, we also enjoyed the stops at the rainforest and Piha Beach. Overall, this experience was fun and amazing!

The tour provided a good overview of the area’s attractions and history. Made subsequent tour days easier to schedule.

This was a great all day tour. It was my first day in Auckland and morning was a great introduction into my surroundings. A stop for a famous Auckland pie for lunch (not included) and we went for a guided hike through an easy trail through the jungle. Finished off at the beautiful Piha Beach and a tea and cookies picnic. It was a day to remember.

Noel and Warren were excellent guides! We loved the entire day's experience. Very comfortable bus, all early/on time. Was a better tour than we expected. Highly recommend!

This tour was on our first full day in Auckland and It was an excellent orientation to the city. Commentary was great and helpful

I really can recommend this tour. In the morning you see the best spots of Auckland. Guide Wayne was very funny and gave good insights about Auckland. The highlight is the afternoon tour where you visit a rainforest and Piha beach. Guide Annie had an outstanding knowledge about the flora and fauna in the rainforest. Visiting Piha beach is an absolut must if you are in Auckland. So all in all it was a perfect day to see the best of Auckland and surrounding.

A nice way to get overview of city inorning then off to rainforest with informative walk and then some time on time most beautiful black sand beach.

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour, The Afternoon Wilderness Experience, with a great guide and driver, and we got to see Auckland sights that we wouldn't have otherwise. We went to the Arataki Visitor Center and took a terrific walk through a rainforest where we saw beautiful ferns and huge kauri trees, as well as some beautiful birds. Then we went to Piha Beach facing the Tasman Sea which was also great to see. It was a light, easy afternoon, led by very knowledgeable guides. It was about a 5 hour tour with pick up and drop off at our hotel.

We can’t recommend this tour highly enough for those who are curious about Auckland and the natural beauty at its back door. Our two tour guides made this a very memorable day: one took us on an urban safari which made us fall in love with the beauty and diversity of Auckland! In the afternoon we stopped at the best country bakery for lunch and headed west to explore the majestic rainforest (you must see an old Kauri tree!) and to the black sands of Piha Beach. Afternoon tea in the dunes was such a treat before heading back to the city.

The tour is great way to see New Zealand. Love that we saw the city, rainforest and beach all in one day. My favorite was the beach, amazing landscape with shimmering sand. The tour guides are so kind and helpful and we even had some honey and refreshments served.

Today some friends and I went on the morning tour and the afternoon tour with Erin. Both tour guides were very knowledgeable about the area, as well as friendly. You can tell they loved what they were doing. We had a small group, and both ladies took their time and tailor made the day just for us. We really appreciated the attention to detail that was given to us. I will definitely recommend their company to my future clients.

Would definitely recommend this tour when you first arrive in Auckland to get your bearings around this wonderful city. Whether it’s the city, rainforest or beach, this tour gives you a taste of NZ. Wayne was our first driver and he had a wealth of knowledge on the history and culture of NZ. His dad jokes were hilarious. For the second half of the day, which covers the rainforest & Piha Beach, we had Annie and Dustin as our guide and driver. They were just as sweet, warm and knowledgeable. They were passionate about the flora and fauna. It was a great introductory tour.

Don’t miss Piha beach. It’s exclusive. I will we had spent more time there. Overall tour was good. Tours operators did a nice job

Really well worth the money. Everything ran so smoothly and communication with the company before the tour was exceptional, making sure we were picked up at the most convenient location. The tour was conducted as 2, morning and afternoon, with 2 different tour guides ensuring we had the most knowledgeable guides for the different environments. The stops and the commentary were all scenic and interesting.

Great 2 part tour showed off cool parts of city & afternoon went to rainforest for short walk and then to gorgeous beach. Super way to see Auckland highlights. Guides were really helpful & fun.

Wonderful tour! Great guides who were fun, helpful & informative. Doing both tours together was great contrast of city and nature. Loved sering more of the city which is not easy in Auckland and then the visit to rainforest and western beach was fantastic. It is an excellent family trip to see most of the sights around Auckland and the rainforest on the same day. The guides were friendly and informative, I highly recommend it!

Michelle the guide was a wealth of knowledge...we enjoyed listening to her tell the stories and guide us around the city. Morning tea was delicious. However we would have liked to stop and walk around the marina/wharf, the gardens and etc...there was too much time on the bus and not enough time to explore points of interest. The boys who guided us around the forest and beach were wonderful. we enjoyed our day.

I enjoyed this tour very much. In the morning we had Wayne for thwle tour if Auckland city, He was very funny and knowledgeable about the city. Especially places to eat. In the afternoon we switched over to Milton and Mauri, who both did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable about the plants in the rainforest. And even off season, the beach was beautiful. Would recommend this tour.

Excellent trip for a first time visitor to Auckland. Morning gave a good look around the city area while the afternoon showed how close you are to rainforest and incredible beaches.

We had such a lovely time on our “eco-tour” with our guide, Murray. He was informative and friendly. We would give it 6 out of 5 stars if we could!

My wife and I took a private tour. Our guide, Alex, was absolutely fabulous! He was informative, witty, courteous, and chock full of insight into the various sights we saw, the local terrain, flora and fauna. His recommendation for lunch (mean pies) hit the mark. Learned so much about Auckland and its surroundings. Highly recommend this tour. Alex was an engaging conversationalist who looked after all of our needs.

Great tour giving a taste of Auckland and surrounding area. In addition to a city tour, we were treated to stunning views of the city from Mount Victoria, a walk through the rain forest at Arataki visitor centre and a walk on Piha beach. Great tour guides ensured we had a great day 👍

The excursion gives you a taste of the city and the Pha beach which is a beautiful beach. It is in a small group making a better experience.

It was a whole day tour divided into 2 parts: morning and afternoon. The bus was clean and picked us up at the hotel. The tour was not private and we had other families on the tour with us. The driver took us around the town and he was also the tour guide. The second half of the day we were on the same bus with the driver, but the tour guide was another person. It was a little bit rainy, so Piha Beach would be nicer on a sunny day. I recommend the tour to take.

Great intro to the city. We saw a lot and learned a lot. Clean bus. Driver and the guilde were very nice, courteous and knowledgeable.

Well organized tour that allowed us to maximize our time in Auckland. The guides were very informative and the pace of the tour was relaxed. Vehicles were modern and clean. We were a group of 8. Would recommend

It was a good combination of tour to see Auckland surrounding area. The trip was full organised, the bus was warm for a cold August wheather and the tour guide was very informative. Recommended!

i did the full day tour with Wayne and Kevin and had an amazing time. They were entertaining, provided interesting facts about New Zealand, and stopped at a good variety of places with the right amount of time. I highly recommend this tour!

Our guide Iyla and driver Milton were great. We were pickedup from our hptel and then our group joined another group for the tour. Our first sop was at a bakery so we could get lunch. We drove to a tropical rainforest to learn about the native plants. There were 16 people on the tour. We were given the choice of two routes. I chose the easier one with Milton and my husband took the harder route with Iyla. Comparing notes afterward we both sawthe same things. We drove to Piha Beach where we were given the opportunity to walk down the beach and stick our toes in the water. Back at the van we were served a snack of fruit juice, tea , coffee and water and cookies. Then we were returned to our hotels.

We had Max in the morning who was very knowledgeable and engaging. In the afternoon we had Ayla and Michelle who were caring and watchful. Had a great day with them. Will highly recommend.

Michelle was great host while touring Auckland. Very informative with fun entertaining stories. Erin and Kelly took over and just kept the information and fun coming for the afternoon nature portion. Absolutely beautiful views and a nice easy trail walk completed the day. It was a nice blend and I wouldn't hesitate to book with Bush and Beach again.
