5-hour Scenic Wine Tour With Private Guide & Up To 12 Tastings

The tour provided a very relaxed and fun trip around Waiheke Island. We went to three wineries and also went to the beach.

Suzanne was an excellent tour guide and lives on the island which benefitted us greatly. The wineries were unique, the tasting delightful with an excellent lunch. We were a group of 5 men and highly recommend visiting this island.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with this company and their tour guide, Jojo. Very efficient, prompt (even earlier than the agreed time), knowledgeable of the entire Waiheke island. He took us to the best vineyards in the island as well as to the shops/places to buy quality products to bring back home. Would definitely recommend this company and the guide, Jojo.

We had such an incredible experience on this wine tour! Every winery we visited was beautiful and offered something unique, from the scenery to the overall atmosphere. The itinerary was very well planned with a great mix of wineries, and the pace of the day felt perfect — we never felt rushed and had enough time to truly enjoy each stop. A huge part of what made the day so enjoyable was our guide, Ardriani. She was friendly, organized, knowledgeable, and brought such a positive energy to the entire experience. Everything ran smoothly and on schedule, but the day still felt relaxing and enjoyable.

My husband and I had a wonderful time with Suzanne on our Waiheke wine tour. She was a friendly and thoughtful guide and we ended up purchasing a bottle from each of the wineries we visited. Lunch at Batch Winery was delicious, too. We learned a lot about Waiheke and Suzanne went out of her way to give us a good tour.

Pickup and communication was timely. Our guide Ardriani was informative and fun. Each wine tasting was excellent.

It was an amazing tour especially with our tour guide Susan (the Soap Opera and TV show personality). She took us to 3 great wineries - Casita Miro, Mudbrick, & Batch Winery - which, I think, had the 3 best views overooking the island into beautiful Pacific. She took care of us well. It ended being a 6 people tour which made is quite initimae/private (great imo). The tour is best for any adults that enjoys good wine or want to learn about NZ winnes. Admission fee was well worth it. Ended makes good connections with others on the tour. Kiwi Connect did an excellent job by hiring a island local - Susan. I highly recommend this tour company and especially tour guide. Can't go wrong, imo. For our short length of visit into Auckland, we are very glad we dedicated one day using Kiwi Connect to learn about Waiheke Island and it's boutique wines.

Booked the tour with Kiwi Connect through the JW Marriot Concierge and it was an awesome tour. Suzanne, our guide, emailed us the day before the tour with nice details about where to go and how to meet. She greeted us at the pier and we were off and running. She has a wealth of knowledge about the island and took us to some great viewing spots. The wineries were good and lunch at "The Heke" was excellent!! Highly recommend doing this as a private tour and getting a little closer to the people and the island as opposed to a larger tour bus.

It was a great way to see the island and enjoy great wine! Suzanne was so awesome, she made our day easy and relaxing.

Well organized and Suzanne was very knowledgeable about the area. She made the trip very fun. She took great pics for us too. The wineries were all very different and wonderful. A truly enjoyable day!

It was perfect number of vineyards and tasting from small to mid to large size vineyards. One recommendation would be that based on the time of your tour start suggest at that time what time the ferry from Auckland they should take.

First, Waiheke is stunning. Don’t miss it on your visit to Auckland. And if you go, you’ll want to taste some wine. This tour is a great way to do it. No huge bus lumbering around the winding roads. Just a few fellow travelers and Suzanne, your lovely guide. She’ll tell you all about the island’s history, both wine and non-wine. By the end, you’ll be giving her a hug. We enjoyed numerous tastings and a super lunch (not included) overlooking the water.

Not only was our guide, Susan, a friendly, welcoming person, she was also very knowledgeable about wines, area wineries and the island in general. Communication was clear and she was prompt. We really enjoyed the three wineries we visited, all a bit different. And as an added treat she showed us a few of her favorite sites, a glimpse into life on the very beautiful island. The small size of our group allowed for personal attention and it made our day very special.

Suzanne met us at the ferry. She was knowledge about the island and knew the winery staff…. It was a seamless experience and great wine. Even though our suitcases were full (and I had bought an extra) we still bought some wine. Very small group and very personalized.

Graeme and the team from Kiwi Connect provided an absolutely wonderful experience, touring Waiheke Island and visiting some of the wonderful wineries located on the island. From helping with the process and timing of ferries from Auckland, to scheduling the winery visits, to even providing a lunch reservation at one of our stops, all was managed perfectly. The tour and Graeme’s knowledge of the island and history was excellent, and the three wineries were each unique. The setting was marvelous for each, and the lunch was brilliant. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable day on Waiheke, one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Australia and New Zealand!!

This was one of the best experiences we have booked for, sometimes these things can feel very functional and impersonal. This experience was very personal, hugely engaging and was a day to remember. Sue was brilliant, kind, interested and genuine and so proud of Waiheke, we loved it and each winery is fabulous but all in different ways. The tour with Susan was very nice and enjoyable. She know a lot about Waiheke Island. We booked very spontaneously the evening before so we were only my girlfriend and me. We had a lot of time at and between the tastings and Susan showed us a lot nices places on the island. We definitly wuld recommend the tour!

We had the pleasure of having Susan take us around to our 3 different wineries on Waiheke Island. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. Susan was full of knowledge and very patience with us as we also had our 10 month old son with us. Nothing was ever an issue. Susan gave us great tips at each winery . Graeme was the absolute best tour guide for my friend and I. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone who is staying in Auckland!

We had the good fortune to have Graehm as our guide for the day. He was friendly and courteous and emailed us prior to leaving Auckland with suggestions for boarding the ferry and meeting him on the island. During the drive, he would frequently stop at scenic points to enable us to take pictures as well as providing history of locations and people. Enjoyed the 3 vineyards and the lunch he selected. Highly recommend this tour.

It was a fantastic experience! It was raining all day, but it didn’t ruin our day at all. Exactly the opposite. It made it much cozier. We visited 3 wineries. Mudbrick was definitely our favorite. We had lunch at one of the stops where the brilliant food is coupled with a gorgeous view from the top of the island. Graham took us to some very beautiful places. Moreover, he is an exceptional guide and amazing person. It was great to have him with us.

Absolutely amazing experience with JoJo! You have a private bus and driver that takes you around to various iconic spots on the island plus 3 amazing wineries. The tastings are pre-booked for you, and you have time to stop for an amazing lunch at one of them. JoJo was very knowledgeable and friendly, as were all of the winery staff. This is something we will do again and again!

We signed up for a small group wine tour and it ended up being just our group of 4! We saw some sights and stopped at 3 wineries…1 small and 2 large. Wine was terrific, views amazing and our guide, Susan, was even better.

Graeme was an outstanding tour guide, super knowledgeable and helpful. He even arranged for a taxi for us when we elected to add a stop at a distillery to the end of the trip.

My husband and I spent the day on Waiheke Island on January 17, 2024. The best part of the day was the 4 hours we spent with Graham (sp) from Kiwi Connect. He was so informative about the island, the wineries, and New Zealand. He took us to some beautiful lookouts as well as the Postage Stamp, Batch, and Mudbrick wineries. At the end of the tour he dropped us off in town with some great recommendations for food and drink. If we return to NZ we will visit Waiheke Island and tour more vineyards with Kiwi Connect.
