2025 Award Winning: Auckland City Highlights Half Day Tour

This was an excellent half day tour. While the sights were technically in the large city of Aukland, they were away from the CBD. We drove across the Aukland Bridge and toured Devonport and other parts of the North Island and drove to the top of Mt. Eden. Be aware, however, that driving up is only permitted with seniors on the tour. Others have to walk, and that is a long uphill walk. Shawn was personable, informative and helpful. Highly recommended!

This tour was a great way to see things outside of Auckland CBD. We didn’t realize it when booking but this is a private tour so it was just us and the guide. Sean was a great guide. His pre-made AI audio was funny and he added more details to the info provided by AI. He is also well regarded at the locations where he stops. We were happy we added this to our short time in Auckland.

We were in Auckland for 1 day on a cruise ship. Our guide Kulwant was knowledgeable, hospitable and happily accommodated our toilet stops. The communication prior to our trip was great and the pick up/drop off spot was perfectly located nearby our ship. Having been to Auckland before we chose this tour to see spots we had not visited before. Highly recommend for a quick view of Auckland.

Interesting tour which highlights the best of Auckland. Especially loved seeing the old architecture which is sprinkled throughout the area.

We had an amazing day seeing Auckland. We started in the rain so Sean adjusted his tour. My husband and I didn’t care it was raining. It was a blast! We got rained on, but 30 minutes later it was clear! Sean asked us what we wanted to try to eat. Of course it was a meat pie! We got to eat our pie with a L&P soda while walking through Davenport. Great tour with an excellent guide.

Epic Tours did a great job of showing us around Auckland on our half day tour, our guide Sean had lots of historical information and good explanations about a lot of things – the dormant volcanoes around Auckland, the architecture, the Māori people and their fight for recognition. Very enjoyable, our guide was a very good driver. If you have a short visit to Auckland, this is a great way to get your orientation and a feeling of Auckland.

This was a fantastic way to cover a lot of ground in Auckland in a short time. We saw all the highlights and learned a great deal about the city. Sean was a superb guide.

A great scenic introduction to Auckland. Lots of natural history, and easy access to all the sights. Our guide Sean Kim was super friendly and very knowledgeable. He was also willing to help point out filming locations for the “My Life is Murder” TV show!

After traveling from Australia through New Zealand, we thought we'd seen it all upon arriving to Aukland. Sean took us on this very interesting tour of the outer parts of Aukland and we really enjoyed it! He was so informative, thorough and a great personal photographer😊

Highly recommended. We saw lots of different places in Auckland in a short period of time. Roy shared lots of local information and was very considerate.

Roy was an excellent tour guide and provided a very relaxing ride. He picked us up right at our hotel with water bottles ready to go. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, and we really liked how he blended his own commentary with historical audio recordings. Without Roy, we wouldn't have learned nearly as much about Auckland, and we definitely would have missed out on some interesting sites we never would have thought to visit. We especially loved exploring the North Head Historic Reserve. Thanks for the great tour, Roy!

This tour was excellent. They showed up on time. The van was very clean. The driver would point out points of interest as we drove. He even made an extra stop so we could get some delicious Hokey Pokey ice cream.

The tour was great adjusted a little to accommodate the fickle weather. Sean was a top guide, with his assistant. Full of local knowledge, presented in an interesting way, and relevant to the group. Went out of their way to look after tour members.

I enjoyed this tour because it took me outside the city center, and I was able to see sites I may not have normally seen on a local walking tour. Mount Eden with its views and the winter garden with its beautiful flowers were the highlights. Noble did a great job leading the tour. I would highly recommend this tour!

1st off, Sean was fantastic. Great guide, great driver. Got us to each destination safely. Gave us guided tours and info. about each site we were visiting. We have a fantastic Auckland half day tour with our Tour Guide, Sean Kim. I think we had managed to see the most important highlight of Auckland City. Obviously, Sean is very knowledgeable of the history and culture of New Zealand especially Māori peoples. He is very caring and communicate very well in English too. He also assisted us with a lot of information of few good areas to visit in Rotorua and also some good restaurants recommendation. A highly recommended Tour Guide. Thanks, Wong

Our afternoon flew by as our guide Sean drove us on a 360-degree tour of Auckland. He delivered stunning scenery - whether the Wintergardens, Cathedral or Mount Eden -and an impressive amount of knowledge about each sight and its history. It was a great introduction to Auckland, delivered with care and humor.

Sean was the tour guide. He was awesome communicated in advance to ensure i knew where the pick up would be. Have great detail and history as we went to each location. Knew where the best photo spots/ angles were and offered to take pics (solo traveler)when needed. Overall good experience, great tour guide.

Tour guide was amazing. My 11 yr old daughter and I had a great time. Comfy vehicle. Glad he told us to do the Tour earlier. He deterred from the Tour which was so much better. Would highly recommend. So informative.

An enjoyable few hours spent discovering some important parts of Auckland. Sean was a personable guide and well informed on historical and cultural matters. There were 3 other couples and the vehicle was comfortable.

This tour was taken on our last day in Auckland. It started out as a windy rainy day. Thank goodness, the rain stopped but the wind and clouds remained. Regardless of the weather, Sean, our tour guide, was undeterred and gave a great tour. Tour. This is a great way to see other parts of the city and get some great history. This tour takes you outside of the central business district. We loved the different sites and the knowledge that Sean imparted to all of us. If anything, I think my wife and I should have done this trip on the first day we got to Auckland to give us an idea of other places to see for the rest of the time we were here. I would suggest that for people coming to Auckland. It was informative and educational and we enjoyed it. Thanks again to Sean for doing such a great job.

An excellent 1/2 day tour, showing the highlights of Auckland. Brendan was a very knowledgeable, enthusiastic guide.

You’ll get four seasons in one day so wear appropriate clothing. Pack a good camera cause the sights are fantastic! Don’t think there are too many questions, they’re all answered with friendliness and knowledge!

Great experience for our short stay in Auckland (we were on a cruise ship). The tour guide was very helpful and in contact before we arrived in Auckland with all the necessary information. We loved the trip to the key parts of the city and were well entertained. Great value for money if you do not have much time in Auckland.

It’s a good way for the first timer in Auckland to explore the city. Sean, our tour guide is very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. He takes his time to make sure our questions are answered and we are comfortable. He drives so gently. He recommends us places to go and to eat which are very helpful. I would recommend this tour.
