The location is outstanding. Next to skytower which is a must-visit. The hotel is also an easy drive to most places that are worth visiting. The breakfast spread was also nice and though not halal obviously, they had enough so that we could be satisfied. Happy with their guest relations and customer service

A friend turned me on to this hotel two years ago and we’ve stayed here multiple times ever since. I made some requests before arriving on our last stay and they were nice to grant them. This is a perfect hotel if you are a family, my 5year old enjoyed the indoor pool and I loved the sauna that is included. The breakfast buffet is great. Room service is very professional. Location is perfect! A special shout out to the bellman Hansel who really made us feel a 5 star experience by looking after us while we waited for our airport shuttle. Those are the details that make it worth coming back. Everything was effortless. Thank you sky Grand team!
This venue is world class, I had an amazing experience staying here. The staff, facilities and rooms were amazing. I have never slept in a more comfortable bed in my life and didn't want to leave. Location is perfect and not noisy at night even though there is hustle and bustle outside. It is very easy to access and the breakfast on the Terrace is a must have. Add this venue to your travel itinerary, you won't be disappointed. Did I also mention the artworks, they are fantastic. You are welcome.
I had a very enjoyable stay at The Grand by SkyCity, made even better by the excellent customer service from the team. A special mention goes to Aaron Hutchins and Taylor, who were both outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely keen to ensure everything was taken care of. Their professionalism really stood out and added a personal touch to the stay. The food was good overall, and breakfast was more than ample with plenty of choice. The breakfast team were very good—efficient, welcoming, and well organised, which made mornings relaxed and enjoyable. The room itself was comfortable, though it is starting to feel a little tired in places. One small downside was the bathroom light, which was a bit bothersome at night. That said, the harbour view was absolutely amazing and more than made up for it—definitely a highlight of the stay. The hotel’s location is very central, with lots to do nearby, including SkyCity and surrounding attractions. There is a bit of a walk to the docks and Queen Street, and Auckland is quite hilly, but the hotel itself is well suited for people with mobility issues, which is a big plus. Overall, a great stay with exceptional service, a prime location, and stunning views. I would happily stay again.
