We recently stayed in one of the advertised Deluxe rooms. There was nothing deluxe about this at all. The carpets were badly stained; the couch was hard as a rock, the bed hard as well. The kitchen had 2 of most things, but nothing matched. Wine & water glasses, cups, plates all different sizes & styles. Minimal cutlery with only 1 dessert spoon & 1 tablespoon. Took 3 hours for the heat pump which we cranked up to 30 degrees to even make a slight difference on the freezing temperature in the apartment. No ambiance, no comfort, no style or anything of any sort of quality at all to warrant the "Deluxe" wording in their advert.
While in a good position in the Newmarket area, this was not worth the money paid.
Despite it's proximity to the motorway it was quiet, and it is really close to everything so 5 stars for that. There is absolutely no service so 1 star. The room was dirty, the carpet stained, one of the sliding doors that enclose the bedroom was off it's tracks, mismatched plates etcetera. Really poor, but the bed was comfortable and the linen fresh so 2 stars.
Stayed here for a while and honestly had a pretty good experience. The rooms were always kept very clean and the housekeeping staff worked hard every day. Location is super convenient — easy walk to Westfield Newmarket, restaurants, and the train station. I also liked that the building was generally quiet at night compared to a lot of places around the city.
The team were friendly and easy to talk to, and whenever there was a small issue it got sorted quite quickly. It’s not a luxury hotel, but for the price and location in Auckland, it’s definitely good value. Would stay again.
We have stayed here multiple times and this time is hugely disappointing. Carpet was really badly marked in every room, broken basin and toilet, couches were marked. We checked in after hours - and I understand it was a long weekend however upon bringing this to managements attention, she pretended like she had no awareness of these issues until photos were shown, then tried to use the excuse that the “deal” I received reflected these issues.
We booked through Airbnb who helped us book alternative accommodation. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone. Firstly it's next to a major construction site which they did not disclose, we were woken at 7:30am by rocks being smashed. Secondly the rooms do not match the description. The carpet was very stained and several marks on the walls. The TV cabinet looked like it was water damaged and about to collapse, no toilet roll holder and a temporary rack holding already open rolls. The beds have the cheapest mattresses and are very uncomfortable. Overall the cleaning was below average and when we asked they said the cleaners had to go through quickly because they were busy....not an excuse. The options to move were exactly the same, and we have photos to prove our comments. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
