Rooms within Ibis Akl Ellerslie, reminded me of staying in a motel especially the rooms we stayed in on the ground floor, reminded me of staying in a run down cabin of a cruise liner, very outdated colour scheme. Bathrooms reminded me of a cruise liner cabin. Stayed at the Ibis due to a work function, other amenities were fine. Good customer service.
This is our second stay at ibis Ellerslie Auckland, and once again we truly appreciated the warm welcome, the professionalism, and the advice from all the staff, who were incredibly kind to us. We felt supported with everything we needed throughout our stay. The bar, restaurant, reception, and housekeeping teams all went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation — whether for a couple's getaway or a family stay. We will definitely be back. Ibis is more budget so no surprises about the room being smaller. Access to everything remains the same as if you were in the Novotel. Very well situated. Almost right in the heart of Auckland with the motorway very close and accessible. A great place to stay with everything closeby. Pleasant friendly respectful staff always make for a nice experience.
Room was a little bit tired but clean and suitable for purpose. Meals were OK. Nothing special but not horrible. Breakfast food was not hot just warm. Would stay again due to cleanliness, location and great staff.
Receptionist (Leonie?) Is amazing!! Central location to what we needed, close to the motorway for north/south travel. Room was small but it was clean and tidy. Bathroom in our room was rather *snug* but it served it's purpose. Disappointed with breakfast as it was like warm.
