Avani Auckland Metropolis Residences

Wonderful few nights here, staff were extremely lovely and helpful! We stayed to recover from jet lag before moving into our permanent home in New Zealand! It was spacious, comfortable and quiet. We had a great view and made use of the beautiful pool, sauna and hot tub! Definitely recommend.

Excellent hotel with friendly, accommodating staff. I stayed here on two separate occasions in March and both times the check-in/check-out process were seamless and the staff at the front desk were happy to store my luggage while I explored Auckland. The rooms are well furnished and offer a great view of the city, and the fact that they have complementary in-unit laundry facilities was a definite bonus. I especially appreciated the included laundry detergent pack and small milk box in each room - tiny touches of convenience that were incredibly useful. The location is hard to beat as well - right next to the heart of downtown Auckland and easily within walking distance of multiple transit options and restaurants.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Avani Metropolis Auckland Residences, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Their friendliness immediately set the tone for a relaxing stay. One small but very thoughtful touch was receiving a phone call to our room shortly after check-in to make sure everything was perfect and to ask if we needed anything — such great customer care. The room is not super modern but our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully presented. It had everything you could possibly need, including a fully equipped kitchen that would easily allow you to cook a full meal if you wished. That said, with so many fantastic eateries just steps away, you’re truly spoiled for choice in this location. The only tiny detail that could make an already fantastic stay even better would be having seating on the balcony to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would happily return again. Highly recommended for anyone wanting comfort, convenience, and excellent service right in the heart of the city.

Located across the street from Albert Park, the apartments are wonderfully located. Access to the art museum, restaurants, shopping, etc. are all within walking distance. Our apartment was on the 8th floor across the hall marvelous from the indoor pool/hot tub/gym complex, and had a fine view from the large window. We opted not to have housekeeping service during our 5-day stay, but the staff at the reception desk were always pleasant and helpful. The facilities were outstanding with cooktop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, pots & pans, and other items needed to cook in the efficient kitchenette. Below the small oven resides a compact dishwasher. There's also a clothes washer and dryer. Necessary linens and detergents were provided in small packages. The bedroom area has a king size bed, reasonably-sized night stands with lamps, a closet and drawers and a small safe. Sliding doors with frosted glass panes can be closed to provide some privacy. The bathroom has both a large shower and a bath tub. The linens are ample and absorbent, and there is a towel warming/drying rack. The living/dining area has a comfortable couch, a table and two chairs and a reasonably sized television. A selection of teas, coffee and cocoa are also provided.
