Thermopylae, Meteora And Delphi Private Full Day Tour

Beautiful sights - Meteora in particular was mindblowing! We learned some very interesting historical information, and got answers to our many questions. Our guide Marselo was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! He was always opening the door for our elderly grandmother. The car was comfortable (with good music!), several nice stops on the way, and we had some really delicious food. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see a lot in a short amount of time.

Outstanding tour! Ted was very knowledgeable, flexible, courteous and an excellent driver and tour guide! He was clearly proud of his heritage, and knew many many details about the different sites! Made for an excellent day learning about Greek history. Highly recommend.

It was a excellent way to visit both Delphi and meteora if you are short on time. The pickup, drive and visit to the attractions were all done beautifully. My driver/guide Dimos was great at his job, very knowledgeable and a wonderful company. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the long drive, with regular stops for food along the way. Would definitely recommend this trip.

Dallas was a very accommodating guide and very knowledgeable about the sights and Greek history. We had a very good day at Delphi, Thermopylae, and Meteora.

This was an amazing experience! It was a very long day but so worth it because of all the wonderful places you get to see. Meteora in particular was truly breathtaking! We were especially happy with our guide, Ozzy! He provided a ton of information, not just about the sites we saw but about Greece and the surrounding countries in general. We learned a lot. It was truly a wonderful day!

My husband and I spent a memorable day with our guide, Sebastian, visiting Delphi and Meteora. We had one day to take a trip outside of Athens and we couldn’t decide between Delphi and Meteora. When we found this trip that did both we didn’t hesitate to sign up! Sebastian was awesome; he’s done this trip so many times he knows all the best places to stop for a traditional Greek snack, or for a photo opp. He gave us all the background we needed to visit the sites on our own (he’s not a licensed guide so couldn’t take us thru the sites) and he timed everything out perfectly. We had time to enjoy and he was ready and waiting for us when were finished. We highly recommend this trip; do both because even having seen them we wouldn’t be able to pick just one.

Stathis was such a pleasure to have as our guide for this trip to the monasteries at Meteora, the archeological sites at Delphi, and other locations—and we were together all day! My daughter and I could not have asked for a better guide and friend. He was immensely knowledgeable but not only that, was fun to talk with about just about any subject. Totally worth every penny!

This is a must do when traveling to Athens. I enjoyed the tour so much that this is the second time I have taken an excursion with this company. Our guide/driver Sebastian was amazing. Great insights, great knowledge of Athens, Delphi, Meteora. The dinner at the end was great, to include the server. Sebastian’s recommendations for around Athens were impeccable. This deserved every bit of 5 stars

We did not have a lot of time and wanted to visit both Delphi and Meteora within a day so we picked this tour. Dallas was our driver and guide. He was fabulous! He was very knowledgable and shared with us detailed stories about each of the locations. We had a great time. Highly recommend this for anyone with limited time. Thanks Dallas for making our day very special.

The trip was great! Dallas picked us up at our hotel and took us to Meteora, Thermapholye and Delphi in a comfortable and clean vehicle. He was very informative and concerned with us having the best experience as possible. The whole trip lasted 14 hours. After visiting these sites, we were dropped off at a restaurant near Athens where we were served dinner through the travel agency. Good times and would definitely recommend!

This was 510 miles and a 14 hour trip and we enjoyed every moment of it. We got to see a Greek sunrise on the mountains and learned so much history and the rich tales of Greece. Sebastian is a fount of information and kept us enthralled with his stories especially as we prepared to enter the attractions. Drivers cannot enter with us but he was amazing at explaining what we would see and what to look for along with a lot of background history. Sebastian was very flexible and took us to Meteora first to ensure we could enter St Stephan’s as we have limited mobility. Our hotel packed us a breakfast but we were not excited about what they packed so we asked to have lunch along the way which is normally not included as a stop. It is your tour so they will be flexible as needed. He was very helpful getting us in and out of the car as well. We did a private tour for two so we wouldn’t be rushed. It was a wonderful day that we will never forget thanks to the many photos he took of us and the many stops he made to ensure we had a great view of the beauty of Greece. If you are not comfortable with windy roads and fast speeds this may not be the trip for you. If you are then definitely book it and ask for Sebastian!

My partner & I enjoyed my trip to Meteora & Dephi with our driver & guide, Manos. He knows his history really well. He tried his best to make a long day fun & comfortable. Although it was 14 hrs, it did not seems that long. He even went out of his way at the end to show us the best spot to see the Acropolis lit up at night.

We weren't sure about booking a private tour and for such a long time and distance, but we are really glad we did. We felt we did as much as we wanted to at both Meteora and Delphi, but in just one day and without having to pack and repack and our luggage. The tour lasted about 13.75 hours, including lunch, but it truly didn't seem nearly that long. Our driver/guides, Manos. was a high point. He was very attentive to our needs and wants, and he adjusted the agenda accordingly. He took us to numerous great viewpoints that we would not have seen otherwise. He has a master's degree in history, and he provides lots of historical insights, and he provided both historical context and directions for how to go when we visited the Delphi archeological site and museum, the Varlaaam monastery, and the site of the famous battle of Thermopylae.. We had a lively conversation which helped the trip pass quickly. We never felt unsafe in the car, on the superhighway or the winding mountain roads. Overall, an A+ experience

This was a great last full day of our vacation. And it was a full day, pickup at 6am and drop off at 8pm. Wonderful to see the parts of Greece most tourist don’t get to. Delphi and Meteora were amazing. Our guide marselo was polite, informative, and easy to talk to. Would definitely recommend.

We had the BEST time with Marcellus. He was so knowledgeable and sweet. Made sure we were comfortable and happy along the way and the best story teller. We took this day trip to both Delphi and Meteora today. Dimos was our guide and it was the most amazing experience one could get. Dimos made our entire trip so comfortable, special and warm. He took us to the best of the places, he s very knowledgeable, an explorer, took us to the best food outlets, homemade pastries, cookies and the best of the food, all very thoughtfully planned. He was the best and we had a really great time. I highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful day exploring Delphi and Meteora with Manos! From the beginning, Manos made the long journey comfortable, interesting, and genuinely entertaining. On our way to Delphi, he brought Greek history and mythology to life with stories about Apollo, Zeus, the Oracle of Delphi, the Greek goddesses, and the fascinating history of the places we were visiting. He also shared stories about Greek life and culture, which made the drive feel like part of the tour rather than simply transportation between destinations. Delphi was incredible, but the journey to Meteora became an adventure of its own. Manos took us safely through winding mountain roads, fog, and rain until we reached one of the most mystical and unforgettable places we have ever seen. The enormous rock formations emerging through the mist, with centuries-old monasteries perched high above, were simply breathtaking. Throughout the entire day, Manos was knowledgeable, engaging, thoughtful, and an excellent driver. His stories, humor, and warm personality added so much to an already extraordinary experience. Thank you, Manos, for making our day at Delphi and Meteora so memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better person to share this journey with. Highly recommended! Thank you, Manos!

What a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The communication was amazing leaving to chance. Constantine was in touch with us via WhatsApp the night before to reiterate pick-up times and again in the morning while he was in transit to the hotel. Constantine was professional and very knowledgeable in Greek history which made a long day trip feel short. Thank you so much for an amazing unforgettable day.

Had a great day with Marcelo on the Delphi and Meteora day trip. It was a long day but worth it - and a lovely meal at the end which we didn’t have to think about was a perfect way to finish it. Car was comfy and Marcelo was a fun and interesting host for the day. Would recommend!

Dallas is a friendly, knowledgeable, and savvy guide who is passionate about sharing his native country's history and culture. We went as a couple, and another couple had booked that day too, also friendly and still independent. Dallas rearranged the tour on the fly to give us a better experience and better views at Meteora after the morning rain. It's a long tour, though, so make sure you stretch and take a snack. I'd recommend this to any family or friends coming to Athens!

This was such a great tour! Dallas was fantastic for the entire tour! He picked us at a convenient location (5 mins walk from our hotel) and shared his valuable knowledge and great stories! Four of us spent the day with Ozzy on an incredibly informative tour of Delphi, three monasteries, Thermopylae, and several historical sites along the way. Ozzy was wonderful—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely interested in making sure we understood the history behind what we were seeing rather than simply checking sights off a list. His knowledge added so much to the experience, and we learned a great deal throughout the day. My only complaint is the length of the day without a scheduled meal break. We left at 6:00 a.m. and did not have an opportunity to stop for food until around 7:00 p.m. By that point, we were all exhausted and very hungry. I think we would have enjoyed the afternoon portion of the tour much more if there had been a planned break midday to sit down, have something to eat, and recharge. Overall, the destinations were fascinating and Ozzy was an excellent guide. With a proper lunch break built into such a long day, this would have been a much more enjoyable experience from beginning to end.

We booked the tour last minute (the day before) and everything went really smoothly. Our driver Nikos sent us all the information the evening before and told us all the historical facts about the places while in the car getting there. Nikos was very funny and knowledgeable and accommodated all our wishes for coffee/eating breaks. We had a great time! My husband really wanted to see Meteora and I wanted to go to Delphi, and I’m so happy we could do both in a single day! We had enough time at all the stops, but it was a very long day nevertheless (napping in the car helped a lot). Definitely a tour we will recommend to friends going to Athens! Marselo was a phenomenal tour guide and driver. He had an immense depth of knowledge and we enjoyed conversing with him for the entire day together both about Ancient Greece and many other topics new and old. If you book ask for Marselo! Delphi and Meteora are incredible places to visit, if only they weren’t so popular but so happy to have seen them both.

My friends and I had a fantastic trip to Delphi and Meteora! Kostis was a welcoming, dedicated, and knowledgeable guide. We learned just as much history in the car as we did at the sites. This was a great opportunity to experience some of the most stunning historical sites in the world, while learning about modern life in Greece. We had a great trip to Delphi and Meteora. Our wonderful guide Kostis explained the history behind the stops and made sure we got the best photo ops. The tour gave us the opportunity to see areas that would have been difficult for us to get to on our own. Seeing the Temple of Apollo at Delphi was a highlight. What an amazing day! I highly recommend this tour. It was an early and packed day, but well worth it. Our guide, Kostis, did an incredible job sharing the history of the sites, helping us plan our tour stops, and keeping us happy on the road. I especially loved the Delphi and Meteora stops. I would recommend everyone see these places in person in their lifetime- the photos and videos don’t do it justice. Again, it is a long day with tight timing, but well worth it! Ask for Kostis!

Absolutely incredible experience! The Delphi, Thermopylae, and Meteora tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Greece, and Dallas was a huge part of what made it so memorable. It was a very long day—around 15 hours—and he was fantastic from beginning to end. He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had the best experience possible. With only two of us on the tour, it felt very personal, and Dallas made the long drives enjoyable with his knowledge and conversation while still giving us plenty of time to explore each stop. Seeing Delphi, Thermopylae, and Meteora all in one day is ambitious, but I never felt rushed or like any of the stops were an afterthought. Meteora was spectacular, Delphi was fascinating, and the entire day exceeded my expectations. Dallas went above and beyond throughout the trip, and I couldn’t have asked for a better driver or experience. I would absolutely recommend this tour, and especially Dallas, to anyone visiting Athens. Five stars without hesitation.

Wonderful experience. Once in a lifetime sites to see. Delphi was amazing, Meteora was exceptional with out of this world rock formations. Thermopylae was a must see historical battle site if you get a chance. Patty, our local guide was very good at giving us a history lecture durig our drive. He was knowledgeable and patient. One recommendation I would like to make is for the driver/guide to use a microphone when you have three rows of people. It was hard to hear him from the back row.

We had a wonderful tour with Nikos. He took us to Meteora Thermopylae and Delphi. He explained the areas we visited and gave us enough time at these areas to visit. Afterwards Nikos took us to a very nice place for dinner and the food was delicious. Nikos was a great tour guide and we would definitely ask for him again

Our drive, Ozzie, was great. Knowledgeable engaging efficient. Went to Delphi, Meteora for the monasteries, and Thermopylae battlefield. Then back to Athens for a family style dinner of Greek fare at the tour companies restaurant. An enjoyable time

Great experience. Marcello, our driver was great . Patient and good communicator. Spoke English very well. Long day but worth it. It was a wonderful experience visiting these historical sites at Olympia, Mycenae and Sparta. Theodore’s meal was satisfying. It is a self guided tour but a professional guide would be nice if included.
