From the beautiful coastal drive along the Athens Riviera to the breathtaking views at the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, the entire experience was unforgettable. The sunset over the Aegean Sea was simply spectacular! Peter was an outstanding guide—friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about sharing the beauty and history of Greece. He made the entire outing feel special and memorable. To top it all off, we enjoyed a wonderful Greek dinner at 4 Brothers, the perfect ending to an incredible evening. Tas is very friendly, conversational, a good listener, and holds a wealth of knowledge of Grecian Biblical history and local cultural. His recommendations on the timing of our schedule were spot on, including altering the itinerary to best beat the crowds. He provided good break times in the drive, and took several pictures of us during our stops.

I would thoroughly recommend this tour- it was a lovely experience and the perfect day out in Athens. Peter our driver looked after us so well and the communication started before the trip so that we were reassured about exactly what would happen/ being picked up etc. Peter was very knowledgable about Greek history and gave us a great amount of background that made the whole trip more interesting. He was very relaxed and this put us at ease. We also enjoyed having dinner on the way - even though the day wasn't as sunny as we had hoped! It is an expensive trip but we are glad we made it

Our trip to Cape Sounion was excellent. The setting and sunset were beautiful. Dimitris was an excellent driver and guide for our trip. He was knowledgeable and entertaining. We were going to skip dinner after seeing the sunset, because we had an early tour in the morning, but Dimitris convinced us to have a traditional Greek meal. My family and I agreed that this was one of the highlights of our vacation. Thanks Dimitris!

A great way to see the Temple of Poseidon at your own pace, with stop off at lake Vouliagmeni on the way out and seafood dinner on the sea front on the way back. Peter is a great driver and convivial guide - we really enjoyed the trip (and thanks for the photos, Peter!)

Hercules was the best! I have taken many private excursions like this and have never had a driver who was a friendly and helpful as he was. He made a few stops along the way to the temple and all of the added greatly to the experience. I was also impressed with the company they were able to accommodate two additional friends with only 24 hours notice for a small fee for a larger vehicle.

This was a beautiful drive and experience. We stopped along the way and ate at a restaurant on the water. Food was amazing. Our driver Dimitris was fantastic!

Wonderful tour. Our guide Nitsolas Dimitris was very knowledgeable and great sense of humor. He made it a great trip.

George communicated with us through the day to coordinate our pickup and itinerary. We opted for an early dinner followed by the sunset at the Temple of Poseidon. During our coastal drive out of the city, George talked about the history of the area and explained a lot about the Greek culture. All of this was enlightening and interesting. The taverna had a waterside table waiting for us and we were greeted by the owner with open arms. He took us over to the ice filled drawer and pulled out the fresh fish for us to make our selection for dinner. We opted for the grouper and a Greek salad. Let me just tell you, that was the best fish we have ever had! Grilled and prepared to perfection. After dinner, we proceeded to the temple where we walked up a paved walkway, enjoying the views along the way. Not only are the ruins a marvel, you get the understanding of the importance of its location. The sunset was one of the most beautiful I have ever experienced. I highly recommend this private tour and I highly recommend George as your driver and guide - you will not be disappointed.

This was a terrific getaway from Athens. The Athenian Riviera was a beautiful part of the trip. Sunset at the Temple of Poseidon was still better with our luck being the night of full moon. Our driver, George, was pleasant and drove us in luxurious Mercedes E-Class.

From the moment Peter Kleioufis picked me up directly from my hotel, I knew I was in for a fantastic experience. Peter is an incredibly personable and easy-to-talk-to guide. During our drive out to Cape Sounion, he kept the journey engaging by sharing a wealth of information about Athens, its deep history, fascinating Greek mythology, and even current building projects happening around the city. Right from the start, he made it clear that this was my experience, constantly checking in and emphasizing that he would do whatever it took to make the trip memorable for me. Once we arrived, Peter dropped me off right at the entrance to the Temple of Poseidon. I had plenty of time to tour the spectacular ruins on my own and find the perfect spot to take in the breathtaking sunset views. What really stood out was Peter’s flexibility. On the drive back, the weather took a turn and it started raining. I decided to skip my original dinner plans and asked if we could just head straight back to the hotel instead. Peter didn't miss a beat and accommodated the change instantly. I wholeheartedly recommend booking a tour with Peter. His dedication to his guests is unmatched, and you absolutely won't be disappointed!

Great communication from the beginning, including estimated arrival time, review of itinerary (and suggestions for modifications) and notification upon arrival. George made sure that the tour was great. He was full of interesting information about everything we were seeing along the way and at our destinations. He was a lot of fun to be with, if the door handle didn’t work ( inside joke). In all, really great and highly recommended

Tas our driver was amazing. He thought of every detail waters, coffee, soda, fresh cookies, great music and along the way he educated us on so much about Athens and the Greek culture and history. Oh and the sunset was amazing too lol. It gets cold / windy bring layers for sure. It was too cold to do the swim in lake but it was a pretty place no doubt very enjoyable when warmer. The stop on way back was at a generational Greek family owned restaurant with amazing food and great prices too. Overall I feel this adventure will be the highlight of our Greece trip. Book - you won’t regret it!

Had a great experience! The trip was well put together for my wife and I. We had a wonderful dinner by the water on the way to seeing Poseidon’s temple at sunset. Our guide was very accommodating and prompt. Very good experience for a small crowd or couples.

We had a wonderful tour. Tas went far beyond his work as a driver and looked after us so well. We had water, cookies and baklava in the car waiting for us. Very highly recommended.

Temple of Poseidon was worth the drive. We didn’t have much of a sunset but that’s ok. We went to dinner before and in hindsight I wished I asked the driver to just skip dinner. Dinner was not great and is extra. Nice driver he did a good job,

We were first-time visitors to Athens and would like to share the wonderful experience we had with Ancient Tours and their Temple of Poseidon tour. Tas picked us up from our hotel in Athens and took us along the scenic Greek Riviera, with a short but refreshing stop at Lake Vouliagmeni, before we reached the Temple of Poseidon. The location at Cape Sounion is truly breathtaking, where the Aegean Sea meets the Saronic Sea, offering spectacular panoramic views. Although the sunset wasn’t at its best on the day of our visit, the clouds created a stunning visual backdrop, allowing us to capture many beautiful photographs. The experience was further enhanced by a delightful dinner at Marida Restaurant. Our visit to the Temple of Poseidon was truly memorable. The group photos taken and shared by Tas were also fantastic. Thank you once again, Tas, for giving us such a memorable day during our Athens trip!

This is a totally worthwhile and magical experience! A beautiful drive out of the city into the beautiful coastline. A nice snack and beverage before walking up to the Temple. Opt to do dinner after sunset at the local restaurant - the fresh fish should be a first choice. Also, it going to be windy, so dress appropriately. The vistas are wonderful and enjoy the seashore as you drive along the coast.

I can understand that repeating the same information might get routine for some guides…. BUT NOT TAS! His obvious admiration and passion for Greek history takes you beyond the regular tourist experience. Yanis was a fabulous driver for our tour and gave us extensive background on Athens, Greece, Greek mythology, and anything we asked him about related to Greek history. Cannot recommend this tour enough!!! Let me start with our driver, Dimitris. We absolutely loved him, he treated us like old friends. The drive down the coast was beautiful! We stopped at beautiful Lake Vouliagmeni, formed by a cavern collapse where the water stays comfortably warm all year. The Temple of Poseidon was spectacular, and the sunset was just incredible!! We got lucky and even saw a marriage proposal!! Ended the evening at a small restaurant (sorry can’t remember the name, it was late) where we had the most delicious Souvlaki. Can’t end this without mentioning Dimitris again, he was just outstanding

This tour was the highlight of our stay in Athens. The temple itself is beautiful, but seeing it at golden hour was amazing. Our tour guide and driver, George, was very helpful and took us to a delicious restaurant with seafood afterwards. I would absolutely recommend this tour.

We had an excellent tour and the timing was perfect for sunset pictures. The highlight was the dinner on the way back at “Τα 4 Αδέρφια" - Ψαροταβέρνα. The service was excellent and everything we ordered to eat was amazing. The fresh fish was cooked to perfection.
