Itinerary
Embark on a transformative journey through the Ancient Agora of Athens, a site rich in history and significance, where Apostle Paul delivered his powerful speech to the Athenians. As you walk through this vibrant archaeological site, you’ll encounter the ruins of temples, statues, and public buildings that once served as the heart of ancient Athens. This tour, following in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul, not only brings to life the philosophical debates and religious history of the city but also offers a glimpse into the spiritual crossroads that shaped early Christianity. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere where faith, culture, and politics intertwined, creating a powerful connection to both ancient Greece and the rise of Christianity.
Visit the iconic Areopagus Hill, one of Athens’ most significant historical sites, where the Apostle Paul stood and addressed the Athenians about the "Unknown God." This ancient rock, overlooking the bustling city below, became the stage for one of the most pivotal moments in the spread of Christianity. As part of your tour, you will learn about the profound impact of Paul's speech, which challenged the intellectual and religious paradigms of ancient Greece. Enjoy stunning panoramic views of the city and the Acropolis while reflecting on the site’s importance in both ancient Greek history and the early Christian church.
Visit the Church of St. Dionysius the Areopagite, a revered site dedicated to the first Athenian convert of the Apostle Paul. St. Dionysius, a respected judge of the Areopagus, was profoundly impacted by Paul's teachings on the "Unknown God" and became one of the earliest followers of Christianity in Athens. This church stands as a tribute to his conversion and his significant role in spreading Christianity in Greece. As part of your tour, you’ll explore the historical connection between St. Dionysius and Apostle Paul, and gain insight into how their paths intertwined in the early days of the Christian faith. The church offers a peaceful atmosphere, with beautiful architecture and a deep spiritual significance, marking a key moment in both Athenian and Christian history.
Isthmus of Corinth, a narrow land bridge that has connected the Peloponnese with mainland Greece for millennia. The Corinth Canal, a marvel of 19th-century engineering, cuts through the rock to create a shortcut for maritime trade. The panoramic views and historical importance of this site provide an excellent introduction to the adventure.
The eastern port of Kenchreai, a key commercial hub during the Roman era, serves as the next destination. This historic site is where Apostle Paul arrived in 53 A.D. Today, the remnants of Roman harbor facilities, temples, and early Christian structures bring to life the vibrant history of ancient Corinth.
Apollo Temple The Temple of Apollo, one of the oldest Doric temples in the Peloponnese, showcases the grandeur of ancient Greece. Its towering columns and commanding presence highlight the city’s wealth and religious traditions. This stop provides insight into the cultural backdrop Apostle Paul encountered during his mission. Glauke Fountain The tour continues to the Glauke Fountain, carved into the hillside and steeped in mythological significance. According to legend, Glauke, the daughter of King Creon, sought refuge here after being poisoned by Medea. This site adds a touch of mythology to the historical narrative of Corinth. Paul's Column in the Roman Forum The Bema, an elevated platform in the Roman Forum, is the next highlight. This is where Apostle Paul delivered his teachings in a city dominated by pagan traditions. The site later became a Christian church, embodying the cultural and religious transformations of the time.

The Bema of Apostle Paul in Ancient Corinth is a significant historical and religious site. This elevated platform in the Agora served as a place for public addresses and legal rulings. During the Roman period, it functioned as a tribunal where governors issued judgments. According to tradition, Paul the Apostle was brought before Gallio, the Roman proconsul, around 51 AD. Accused of spreading new religious teachings, Paul was dismissed by Gallio, allowing him to continue his mission. This event, recorded in Acts 18:12-17, marks Corinth as a key site in early Christian history. Today, the Bema is both an archaeological and spiritual landmark, drawing visitors seeking connection to the biblical narrative. Modern mosaics depicting Paul’s trial and journey enhance the atmosphere, making it a profound site of reflection within the ancient ruins of Corinth.
The Archaeological Museum of Corinth offers an extensive collection of artifacts, from prehistoric relics to Roman-era treasures. Statues, pottery, and items from the Sanctuary of Asklepios are displayed in a beautifully curated space, offering a glimpse into Corinth’s rich history.
The ancient fortified acropolis of Acrocorinth offers breathtaking views and a journey through layers of history. Visitors can explore ruins from classical Greece alongside Byzantine, Frankish, and Ottoman fortifications, reflecting the city’s enduring significance. After your exploration, enjoy a relaxing lunch at a nearby traditional taverna, savoring local flavors and hospitality.
The journey concludes at the Apostolos Pavlos Church, a three-aisled basilica built in 1936 on the site of an earlier church established by Apostle Paul. This sacred space commemorates Paul’s profound influence on Corinth and the early spread of Christianity.

Our guide, Nick, made us feel like personal friends coming into town for a visit. It was fascinating to see the actual places mentioned in the Bible. I was personally intrigued because of a recent deep dive into studying Paul and the book of Acts. This tour was up close and personal and had Nick’s undivided attention to ask all the questions we wanted. As we were touring, there were several bus loads of groups. I found myself thankful that I was not part of what looked like chaos. Instead, we felt very special to be shown the sights in this private tour.
Highly recommend! We had the owner of the company Pericles! He was amazing and so knowledgeable about the overall history of St. Paul as well as his specific time in Greece. He made sure every detail of the day was taken care of and it was so enjoyable getting to know more about Corinth, Athens and Pericles. When we come back to Athens we will definitely do another one of his tours!!!
Pericles was our guide and he was knowledgeable, joyful and took care of all the details for the day. Highly recommend for anyone who is interested in the biblical history and where St Paul preached.
Periklis was an amazingly knowledgeable and comfortable guide to be with. His ability to make you feel like you were in the world of the Apostle Paul comes from the heart and can not be duplicated by merely wanting to provide a tour. I felt immersed in the world of Paul and satisfied that I was given or could ask any question I had. Periklis is a top notch man and I am better off for having met him and taken his tour. I wish him all the best and I have and will be recommending him to anyone I know who is traveling to Greece. Todd from Canada.
Kyarsios was a wonderful guide. Answered all our questions and gave us a vast amount of unknown knowledge. We enjoyed the trip and him enourmously.
Kyriakos was an excellent tour guide. He was able to answer all our questions and gave us loads on needed info. Showed us everything we wanted to see and more. I would recommend Kyriakos and this tour to everyone!
Nick was awesome. Great knowledge and shared plenty of experiences.
What an incredible experience with Pericles! He is so knowledgeable and so accommodating. He has many years experience and Athens is his home. He took us to Corinth, fully explaining everything along the way. He knew where to go for lunch and it was one of the highlights of the day. Our tour seemed suited just for us and that is his specialty.
Our fantastic driver Kyriakos picked us up at our Airbnb and took us to many interesting places. He explained all the history and facts about each place. We spent more than half the day in Corinth and less than half the day in Athens. We had a wonderful late lunch and olive oil tasting in Corinth at the top of the mountain next to the fort/castle. Just a few hiccups - Unfortunately, we got to the fort/castle -around 3:15 and it was closing at 3:30, so we spent very little time there. Lunch was very late (around 4), so we were starving by then, not having eaten since breakfast. We also didn’t get to the acropolis until after sunset, so it was closed and very dark on their walk path and on the Mars Hill Areopagus, which is open 24/7, but not lit up. It would have been helpful to have been given a timeline at the very beginning so that we all knew what we were doing when, and could adjust if needed, based on closures and evening darkness. Overall, it was a fantastic tour with a wonderful tour guide.
This tour was highly educational and inspirational throughout the day. I highly recommend this one and our driver/guide Periklis!
Kostas was an extraordinary guide! So incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. It was a day we will never forget. Very comfortable transportation. Highly recommend.
This was by far the best tour of our trip to Greece! The locations and narrative were second to none.
The Tour with Pericles was an above and beyond amazing experience. He shared so much biblical and historical insight not just about Paul's time in Corinth, but all of the journey Paul took in Greece, as well as the early church history and history of Greece. The Bible really came alive to see all of the connection points firsthand. The views were amazing, the lunch stop was delicious and overlooked Ancient Corinth from the top near the castle, and Pericles was so helpful and kind throughout the entire day. I highly recommend this tour!
Had a wonderful day on this tour. It was very informative and well put together, even included a podcast episode to highlight some of the historical events. It ended with a nice lunch with a great view. Although I do recommend wearing good tennis shoes to hike up the Acrocorinth castle. It can be very slippery. Highly recommend!
Pericls was amazing, his great knowledge made the trip very memorable and informative. I walked the same path that St Paul did, that crazy and incredible! Highly recommend this tour.
We had a great day with Pericles. He's so knowledgeable. And very accommodating. Corinth was an awesome place to visit. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to tour the Acropolis. Make sure that you book tickets ahead if you want to go.
Pericles was an incredibly knowledgeable guide. He was very gracious and overall the experience was top notch. Do not miss out on this experience.
Excellent day! Pericules was an amazing and informative guide. Very friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend!
Our guide and excursion were phenomenal! Our guide knew and shared a bounty of religious history related to Paul, Peter, the Romans, and the spread of Christianity in the ancient world. He brought history to life. Our day included significant ruins, backroads walked by Paul, religious sanctuaries, countryside and so much information. We shared a delicious authentic Greek lunch at the location of an ancient Corinthian castle on the top of a mountain with a beautiful overlook. When back in Athens we were taken to viewing spots of significant archeological sites. I feel his purpose in life is to generously share his history, cities and country. I highly recommend this excursion.
We so enjoyed our Biblical Paul Tour of Athens and Corinth! Nick was a super guide and went out of his way to make sure that we had a great day. Very informative! Highly recommend Nick!
Fantastic opportunity to get outside of Athens and learn about Apostle Paul and his time in Corinth. His missionary journey changed the spiritual landscape in Greece forever. Very nice transportation, nice stop for lunch and knowledgeable guide.
Nick was the best guide. Perfect in every way. He is so knowledgeable and informative. He made sure we were comfortable and hydrated. He helped receive my left behind purse. Do not hesitate to book with Nick as your guide.
The Private Luxury Biblical Tour: Apostle Paul in Athens & Corinth with Makis was an exceptional experience. Periclease was a great guide!
Our first time in Athens, Pericles was our driver and was very professional, courteous, on time as he picked us up at our hotel. The day with him was the very best!!!! Pericles is Knowledgeable of Greek history, culture, and biblical history of the life of the apostle Paul. We felt safe, relaxed and without stress of travel as he treated us like very special guests. He provided opportunity for refreshment breaks and also supplied us with complementary cold bottled water. It was a very hot day and he made sure that we were well taken care of. We had an opportunity to hike up and view an old castle, which was something we didn’t expect and at the base of the hike was a beautiful restaurant that he reserved seating for us to enjoy a beautiful lunch. The food was delicious.. He also gave us lots of time to enjoy the historical sites. We never felt rushed. He was an incredible host.! Pericles went above and beyond when he delivered to our hotel the next day an item we had forgotten in the car with no extra cost. Pericles also provided an informational book of our day of the sites that we saw that we did not expect to have. This is wonderful keepsake and reminder of this once in a once in a lifetime incredible trip! We wished we would’ve had more time in Athens to book more sightseeing trips with him. Highly recommend any tours that he gives.! 5stars!!! Thanks so very much to Pericles for the best touring day ever!!
Our Footsteps of Paul tour from Athens to Corinth with Pericles was one of the highlights of our trip to Greece. As a Christian guide, Pericles brought Scripture, history, and archaeology together in a way that made the Apostle Paul's journeys come alive. We began in Athens, visiting the Ancient Agora and Mars Hill (Areopagus), where Paul delivered his famous sermon to the Athenians. Standing in those places while Pericles explained the biblical and historical significance was truly moving. We also appreciated visiting the beautiful Agios Dionysios Areopagitis Church. The journey to Corinth was equally impressive. We stopped at the Corinth Canal, the ancient port of Cenchreae, and then explored Ancient Corinth, where Paul lived and preached. Pericles provided fascinating insights into the city's history, the Temple of Apollo, and the archaeological site, helping us better understand the context of Paul's letters to the Corinthians. The Archaeological Museum was excellent, and the visit to Acrocorinth offered breathtaking views and a deeper appreciation of the area's strategic importance in biblical times. What made this tour truly special was Pericles himself. He is knowledgeable, passionate, professional, and genuinely committed to helping visitors understand the Christian significance of each location. He answered all our questions, shared meaningful biblical connections, and made the entire experience engaging and personal. If you are interested in biblical history, early Christianity, or simply want an outstanding tour of Athens and Corinth, I highly recommend Pericles and this tour. It was an unforgettable experience that strengthened our understanding of Scripture and brought the world of the Apostle Paul to life.
Great adventure through the places Apostle Paul walked...our guide was knowledgeable but could not accompany us at any of the sites so we hiked up to the fortress, walked ancient Corinth and the Agora by ourselves after a bit of information. He provided waters since it was so hot and that was extremely helpful!
Pericles was so easy to communicate with...had to reschedule and was super flexible as well as a very knowledgeable guide!! We had a great day and we're craving crepes for dinner so he went out of his way to get us to the perfect place!!! Amazing experience all around!!
This tour had everything we needed. All the most important sites and stories of Corinth and Athens. Lunch at a Greek restaurant. And our tour guide, Pericles Century, was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Make this the first thing you do and the rest of your choices will be easy.
Our experience was fantastic. Nick was very knowledgeable about almost anything we asked him about. He showed us all the important places where Paul had been. Very highly recommend!
This was such a wonderful tour by Pericles, the owner. He was so friendly and kind. His knowledge of Paul’s journeys was in depth. He took us to off the beaten areas where Paul walked and we saw some lovely historical sites. We were able to rest and grab a bite to eat at a lovely restaurant with fabulous views. Pericles made us feel like family. He was able to adjust his schedule to ours. Book this tour-you will not be disappointed!
Nick was our driver. He showed up on time and we liked him immediately . Nick is a very informed tour guide. He has so much knowledge that he loves to share and we loved hearing it. He was enthusiastic , polite, and courteous . We gained so much knowledge about Paul’s time in Athens & Corinth.
We had a wonderful FULL day with our tour guide Maria! She understood just what we were looking for & included so many interesting sites & facts. We were especially interested in the journey of Saint Paul & Maria made sure to point out his influence at every important site. She helped us understand his journey throughout Greece & specifically in Athens & Corinth. We visited beautiful churches as well as historical sites. The castle view & lunch was a treat. A highlight for me was standing on Mar’s Hill & reading Acts 17. I highly recommend this tour!! Thank you Maria!!
Pericles was absolutely wonderful. Knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly and well connected. He made the entire day very memorable. I was very moved to stand where Paul stood. To imagine his ministry in Corinth and Athens. Highly recommend.
This tour was fabulous! Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the history of ancient Corinth and Paul’s ministry come alive. He answered our questions, never rushed us, and made the experience both educational and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Greece, especially if you’re interested in biblical history.
He was very informative. Drove us around too many different places to explore what Athens has for the Orthodox Christian faith.
We had an amazing experience with Mari’s touring importer Biblical sites in Athens and Corinth. Maria was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I highly recommend doing this tour and highly recommend Maria as a guide!!
Pericles led my tour and helped me and my 3 month old tour around. I feel like I got an excellent overview of Corinth and Athens and I’d even recommend this tour instead of only doing Athens. It gives you a great perspective. I would recommend this tour to my friends!
Our driver/guide Kyriakos communicated well and knew so much history, pointed out details we would not have noticed otherwise, handled all the logistics, provided cold water, provided charging cable for my phone, recommended an excellent restaurant for lunch, and definitely provided a tour that was well worth the money. Highly recommend. Next time though we might also include a guided tour inside Ancient Corinth, which Kyriakos was not allowed to do.
Pericles made us feel welcome from the very moment he picked us up for our tour. His warm personality, flexibility, and genuine hospitality immediately put us at ease. Throughout the day, he shared a wealth of historical knowledge and fascinating insights, making every stop both meaningful and memorable. What truly set Pericles apart, however, was his sincere interest in getting to know our family. He took the time to connect with me, my husband, and our daughter on a personal level, listening with genuine curiosity and kindness. We especially appreciated his openness as we shared about our lives and our faith. By the end of the tour, it felt like we had spent the day with a knowledgeable friend rather than just a guide. We are grateful for the experience and the memories he helped create. To God be all the glory! 2 Peter 3:18 Dear Mr. Pericles, Thank you so much for teaching my family and I more about Paul’s journey. You are really nice and you are good at teaching. I appreciated the fun little dinner you put up for my family and I. This adventure was SO cool!! Ps thanks for the fun Greek lesson. John 3:16 Skylight 😁
Pericles was an awesome tour guide. He was very knowledgable, friendly, and funny. He brought us to some great spots and gave us a lot of information about each place we visited. We saw some beautiful churches, museums, and historical sights. He also brought us to a beautiful restaurant to have lunch that overlooked a beautiful view.
This tour exceeded our expectations, Niko accommodated to all of our needs and made our day special and memorable without having the stress to trying to navigate this day on our own. Thank you!
I spent a lovely day with Pericles exploring the footsteps of the Apostle Paul. This was my favorite activity on my week-long trip to Greece. Pericules was kind, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I was worried that a full day of touring might be too exhaustive, but I enjoyed every minute of it. I would recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in learning more about the life of the Apostle Paul and the history of this region.
It was a wonderful tour. Nick was a fabulous tour guide knowledgeable and on schedule . He met us at the hotel, on time in a beautiful Mercedes van. Seeing the ancient ruins in Corinth and Athens are were amazing and not to be missed.
We had the privilege of touring Ancient Corinth and Athens with Kyriakos as our guide, and the experience exceeded all expectations. His knowledge of Greek history, archaeology, and biblical events was truly remarkable. As he led us along the footsteps of the Apostle Paul, he brought the scriptures and historical sites to life in a way that was both educational and inspiring. Kyriakos patiently answered every question, no matter how small, and took the time to ensure that we understood the significance of each location. His passion for sharing the rich history of Greece was evident throughout the tour, and his ability to connect ancient events with modern understanding made the experience unforgettable. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and engaging guide to help you explore Ancient Corinth, Athens, and the biblical journey of the Apostle Paul, we highly recommend Kyriakos. He transformed a sightseeing trip into a meaningful and memorable journey through history and faith.
Where do I even begin? Kyriakos didn’t just give us a tour — he gave us an experience we will carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives. From the moment my wife and I met him, his warmth and genuine passion for Greek history were undeniable. Walking through Athens and the ancient ruins of Corinth with Kyriakos felt less like a guided tour and more like exploring with a brilliant, lifelong friend who happened to know everything about the ancient world. His knowledge is truly extraordinary — he brought history to life in ways that no textbook or documentary ever could. Every column, every stone, every site had a story, and he told each one with such enthusiasm and depth that we were completely captivated from start to finish. What truly set Kyriakos apart, though, was how attentively he cared for us. He was thoughtful, patient, and made sure my wife and I were comfortable every step of the way — checking in on us, adjusting the pace, and always making us feel like we were his most important guests in the world. That kind of personal attention is rare and genuinely priceless. If you are visiting Athens or ancient Corinth, do not hesitate — book Kyriakos. He is the gold standard of what a tour guide should be, and we are so grateful our paths crossed. Thank you, Kyriakos, for making our trip to Greece absolutely unforgettable! 🇬🇷
We had an amazing day with Pericles all over Athens and Corinth! We booked the private tour of the footsteps of the Apostle Paul. We learned so much and went to so many sites! This was the highlight of our two week trip to Greece and we would absolutely book with Pericles Century again!
