Pericles is a remarkably knowledge man, who possesses a vast knowledge of history in general, but specifically concerning Greek and related history, from ancient times to the present. We took his tour on the travels of the Apostle Paul in and around Corinth. We couldn't have been more pleased with the results.

Itinerary
The journey begins at the iconic Isthmus of Corinth, a narrow land bridge that has connected the Peloponnese with mainland Greece for millennia. The Corinth Canal, a marvel of 19th-century engineering, cuts through the rock to create a shortcut for maritime trade. The panoramic views and historical importance of this site provide an excellent introduction to the adventure.
Next is the Diolkos, an ancient stone-paved road that allowed ships to be transported overland across the Isthmus. This engineering feat played a crucial role in Corinth's maritime dominance and remains a testament to the ingenuity of ancient times.
The eastern port of Kenchreai, a key commercial hub during the Roman era, serves as the next destination. This historic site is where Apostle Paul arrived in 53 A.D. Today, the remnants of Roman harbor facilities, temples, and early Christian structures bring to life the vibrant history of ancient Corinth.
Glauke Fountain The tour continues to the Glauke Fountain, carved into the hillside and steeped in mythological significance. According to legend, Glauke, the daughter of King Creon, sought refuge here after being poisoned by Medea. This site adds a touch of mythology to the historical narrative of Corinth. Paul's Column in the Roman Forum The Bema, an elevated platform in the Roman Forum, is the next highlight. This is where Apostle Paul delivered his teachings in a city dominated by pagan traditions. The site later became a Christian church, embodying the cultural and religious transformations of the time.
The Temple of Apollo, one of the oldest Doric temples in the Peloponnese, showcases the grandeur of ancient Greece. Its towering columns and commanding presence highlight the city’s wealth and religious traditions. This stop provides insight into the cultural backdrop Apostle Paul encountered during his mission.
The Bema of Apostle Paul in Ancient Corinth is a significant historical and religious site. This elevated platform in the Agora served as a place for public addresses and legal rulings. During the Roman period, it functioned as a tribunal where governors issued judgments. According to tradition, Paul the Apostle was brought before Gallio, the Roman proconsul, around 51 AD. Accused of spreading new religious teachings, Paul was dismissed by Gallio, allowing him to continue his mission. This event, recorded in Acts 18:12-17, marks Corinth as a key site in early Christian history. Today, the Bema is both an archaeological and spiritual landmark, drawing visitors seeking connection to the biblical narrative. Modern mosaics depicting Paul’s trial and journey enhance the atmosphere, making it a profound site of reflection within the ancient ruins of Corinth.
The Archaeological Museum of Corinth offers an extensive collection of artifacts, from prehistoric relics to Roman-era treasures. Statues, pottery, and items from the Sanctuary of Asklepios are displayed in a beautifully curated space, offering a glimpse into Corinth’s rich history.
The ancient fortified acropolis of Acrocorinth provides breathtaking views and layers of history. Visitors encounter ruins from classical Greece alongside Byzantine, Frankish, and Ottoman fortifications, highlighting the city’s long-standing significance.
The journey concludes at the Apostle Paul Church, a three-aisled basilica built in 1936 on the site of an earlier church established by Apostle Paul. This sacred space commemorates Paul’s profound influence on Corinth and the early spread of Christianity.

Great tour. Very knowledgeable guide who shared historical details about Paul as well as Athens, Corinth and the Pelopennesian peninsula. Well worth the time and cost.
We had had Dimitris for our guide. He was great. Very accommodating to make sure we had adequate time at each location. He was very knowledgeable, And funny. A very good tour. I would recommend it.
Our guide, Marios, was great! He was punctual, knowledgeable, and kind.
Outstanding tour to ancient Corinth. Wife and I had a wonderful personal guide and driver Kyriakos, who provided knowledgeable commentary to the highlights as he drove us to the attractions on St Paul’s journey. Truly enjoyable and educational. The view from the Acrocorinth was breathtaking! Thank you, Kyriakos 🇬🇷
All aspects of this trip were excellent! Great job Nick!!
Very knowledgeable and great learning adventure
Fantastic day and experience to/from Corinth. Thank you for making it so educational!
The private tour was excellent!!! Our guide Thouki was neatly dressed friendly and professional. He had kind demeanor and made us feel valued. From the moment he picked us up in a luxury Mercedes SUV we were treated like celebrities. Thouki is quite knowledgeable about Apostle Paul as he took us along Pauls actual path. He stopped at various historical sites and gave us time for pictures. He also gave us some time to explore on our own in the ancient city of Corinth and to church way up on a hill. This is a tour we will never forget! Highly recommend!
Kostas our guide was great. He was knowledgeable and friendly and very easy to understand. Was just the right length of time the the pick up and drop of from our hotel was just perfect. Would recommend the group and Kostas form the biblical tour of Corinth.
Great day with Perikles following the footsteps of Paul in Corinth. Pickup was on time, great communication, excellent knowledge and insights of Greece and the region. Worth every bit.
Picked up & dropped off at our hotel which was lovely . Comfortable , air conditioned ride to Corinth from Athens .Pericles was amazing , knowledgeable, friendly guide . So much history ! Really enjoyed seeing /walking in the footsteps of Apostle Paul .
Pericles was very knowledgeable and friendly. He made us feel like family and we had a great experience.
Pericles provided us with a great visit to Corinth and other points of interest such as the Corinth Canal. Pericles provided so much more than just taking us to Corinth: comprehensive explanations of St Paul’s activities and life in and around Corinth with visits to relevant ruins and churches. For the ancient ruins of Corinth we were on our own as Pericles isn’t a licenced guide for that historical site. Then up to the fortress and a great lunch at the top. All-up he gave us 8 hours from pickup to drop-off.
Our driver was super nice and knowledgeable. The vehicle was very comfortable. We had a great day and I would highly recommend.
Our driver Kyriakos picked us up at our Airbnb and took us to many interesting places. He explained all the history and facts about each place. We spent half the day in Corinth and half the day in Athens. We had a wonderful late lunch and olive oil tasting in Corinth at the top of the mountain next to the fort/castle. Just a few hiccups - Unfortunately, we got to the fort/castle -around 3:15 and it was closing at 3:30, so we spent very little time there. Lunch was very late (around 4), so we were starving by then, not having eaten since breakfast. We also didn’t get to the acropolis until after sunset, so it was closed and very dark on their walk path and on the Mars Hill Areopagus, which is open 24/7, but not lit up. It would have been helpful to have been given a timeline at the very beginning so that we all knew what and where and what time, and could adjust if needed, based on closures and evening darkness. Overall, it was a fantastic tour with a wonderful tour guide.
Kyriakos was very pleasant he was punctual and knowledgeable and offered to stop for snacks drinks bathroom anything on the tour we loved learning about Apostle Paul and also other Greek history surrounding this time. It is a long day the drive was about 1.5 each way plus the time at the sites which was a total of about 7 hours Thank you Kyriakos for a great day
We had an amazing time on our tour to Corinth. Kyriakos was an excellent tour guide that offered patience, knowledge and always made sure we were comfortable on our trip. His accommodations made the trip joyful. I would recommend Kyriakos to anyone.
We had a wonderful time with our guide, Nick! We were picked up from our hotel and spent the morning and afternoon visiting the canal, Ancient Corinth, and Acrocorinth. The experiences were amazing and having a driver and guide was the perfect way to see everything we had wanted to see!
We had the best time and highly recommend this tour! Pericles was very knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. He explained everything really well, answered all of our questions, and made the whole experience interesting and enjoyable. We learned so much and had a wonderful time. Definitely a highlight of our trip!
We had a terrific day of sightseeing, and our guide was fantastic. He was professional, knowledgeable, and flexible with our schedule. Highly recommend this company for private tours.
This was a fantastic tour! The country has done a great job of preserving and restoring the ancient culture. And Nick was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, telling us about the history of Athens and Corinth without sounding condescending or bored; he seems to genuinely enjoy his job and that increased the experience. Nick included lots of details and stops along the way to show us cool places we otherwise would have missed had we tried to do it on our own. Also, we were very grateful we did not have to drive in the Athens traffic. Another point in favor of a private tour: the van we rode in was comfortable, and not one of those overcrowded busses with a large group of strangers. We started the tour at 8 AM, and highly recommend doing so in order to avoid rush hour traffic. Word of warning: the hike up the Acrocorinth Castle is rigorous, but hosts great views of the area. And the restaurant in Acrocorinth is delicious! 10/10, would recommend.
This was a great way to visit Corinth. Good explanations. Great food at restaurant
Very know knowledgeable and excellent selection of sites.
We had an excellent tour seeing the different sights in the Life of the Apostle Paul. In addition, we learned some about the history of Greece. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a tour that covers the sights in and around (ancient) Corinth!
Very informative . This tour area has always been on my husband’s bucket list. I personally loved the fortress.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Dimitrios. He was very accommodating and informative. It was an excellent way to spend the day. Highly recommend this tour.
What an amazing experience! Thank you, Pericles for your warm presentation and discussions. You helped bring Greek and Christian history to life. We enjoyed our time and hope to see you again. Highly recommend.
our guide Kyriakos was friendly and very knowledgeable. excellent service
Guide was on time for pick up and very knowledgeable and courteous. Booking a private tour was the perfect way to go because the timing throughout the day was more flexible. we made a couple of quick stops that were not on our written itinerary, but they related to the topic of the day and also give us some additional sightseeing opportunities. The 15 euros admission fee to the museum was well worth it. And the tiny village of Corinth is touristy but quaint. A beautiful day!
Kostas provided us with a tour of Corinth. He knew the sights well and accommodated us with breaks when needed. It was a good tour.
Really enjoyed the opportunity to see Corninth and the canal! It was special to see the places where St. Paul began his ministry in Corinth. The museum and grounds were well presented. Constantine was our driver. He was very kind. It's definitely a worthwhile trip to Corinth with a driver!
Great day: Perciclies was incredibly knowledgeable and modified the trip accordingly to our interest. Car was in great shape. Really enjoyed the day seeing the footsteps of Apostle Paul . Pick a breeze at our hotel. Great local food lunch. Order the fried cheese
Our group of 4 were picked up from our hotel in Plaka neighborhood. Kostas was on time and patiently waited for us. We visited to Corinth Canal- amazing! As well as the steps of Paul, museum and the largest castle in Europe. We actually missed the steps of Paul when we were at the site, and Kostas returned to it on the way back and had a guide show us specifically where it was. We also had a driver in training who was very nice and helpful! The tour was great- would definitely recommend.
Pericles was an absolutely fantastic guide. His knowledge on the life of Paul and the early church was astounding. We had a fabulous day. Felt very safe with him. Would highly recommend!
Dimitros was an excellent guide! Very friendly and knowledgeable, if you are taking this trip please ask for him and you won’t be disappointed!
Kostas was a well experienced, knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly guide. He knew Biblical scripture well and applied God’s word with history in a phenomenal manner. He knew very much about Greece and world history in general. His English was perfect ! He had a great sense of humor as well! I would certainly use him as a guide again!
What a wonderful tour! Maria was a wealth of knowledge and made our trip so nice! So glad we decided to do this tour.
Our driver Demetrios was extremely knowledgeable, provided great background and insight at every stop, arranged a fabulous lunch for us at Acrocorinth and overall made our excursion very enjoyable and stress-free!
This tour was even better than we hoped it would be! Pericles was very knowledgeable, fun, and the perfect guide. Highly recommend!
This tour was truly one of the highlights of our time in Greece. Walking through ancient Corinth and following in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul brought the Bible to life in a way that is difficult to describe until you actually experience it. Our guide, Periklis, was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable not only about the biblical history, but also the Greek history, culture, geography, and the world Paul would have encountered during his time in Corinth. He had a wonderful ability to connect everything we were seeing to Paul’s ministry and the letters to the Corinthians. What made the experience even more special was Periklis himself. He was warm, patient, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. We never felt rushed, and he welcomed our questions and conversations throughout the day. It felt much more personal than simply being taken from one historical site to another. If you are visiting Athens and have any interest in the Bible, early Christianity, history, or the Apostle Paul, do not miss this tour!! Highly, highly recommended!

The experience was excellent. We’ve never been to Corinth and Demetrius took great care of us and was very attentive. He is very knowledgeable about Greek history,Corinth, Paul and the surrounding area. We would do other tours with him .
Our trip was awesome!!! Kostas was an excellent tour guide. Important facts: he arrives on time; is very prepared; and gives you plenty of space to stay a little longer or see a little extra at your destinations. Thanks for a wonderful day!
Mikas was a fabulous guide! He knew the history and was able to provide information all along the trip ! We had the privilege of seeing all the sites listed on the tour and it was great to step back into history! Thanks for sharing your country with us!
Amazing insights from the owner of this family business about Corinth, the area, and the historical significance of Paul and others in Greek History Intelligent, kind, safe, and helpful So appreciated his sister’s podcast in English as we drove some of the way
My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Pericles on this tour. He picked us up on time at our hard-to-find residence and delivered us back to the door in the late afternoon. At each of our many stops, Pericles shared his historical knowledge of the site and was happy to take pictures of us. We had a great lunch at Castro Restaurant on AcroCorinth. I highly recommend Pericles and would absolutely book tours with him on future visits to Athens.
The best experience I have ever had
Maria was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable on the small and big details. I appreciate it. How specific she was with her information. I would recommend her for anyone and every trip
