Glykeria was absolutely amazing!! We had an issue with the booking through Welcome Pickups. I paid extra for a large vehicle to fit our luggage and they did not assign the correct vehicle. Glykeria helped us communicate with the company and was a wonderful advocate. I am so glad we were able to arrange our luggage with her and we didn’t need a different driver because she was an expert tour guide and made us feel right at home. She knew the best places to go and the history that goes along with them. I learned so much today! She even suggested an excellent store for souvenirs and a place for us to get lunch. She made our day in Athens unforgettable and we are so thankful!

We really enjoyed this private tour in Athens. Our driver, Nasos, was great. He knew the area very well, spoke English very well and provided us with a great tour of Athens in about 4 hours. He contacted me a couple of days before to recommend that we purchase tickets to the Acropolis online before so that we were all set with a time to visit. He then worked the tour around our scheduled time. We were on a Disney cruise that included a stop in Athens. We really enjoyed this private tour so that we didn't have to be part of a large tour group. This made it easy to see the Acropolis and other sights in Athens. Nasos picked us up at the port and took us back at the end of the tour. Communication via WhatsApp was really good as we had to let him know of a change of terminal at the port due to security measures the morning we arrived. We will be back in Athens in a couple of weeks and the information he provided will help us know what to do when we are back such as visit the Acropolis Museum which we didn't have time for this time.
We are a family of 8 with my elderly parents. We booked a van to take us to our hotel. The driver Stratos Tairigotis canceled our van 5 minutes after the grace period saying he had another booking. We were almost there as I explained on text but canceled anyway getting our full payment. There is no one to contact at Welcome Pickups. We ended up paying for the Van arriving just minutes late with my parents in their 80’s and payed for 4 overpriced Athens taxi’s plus the Welcome Pickup full fee. Will never use again
My mom and I planned this tour on our second day in Athens. While I really truly enjoyed our driver, the sightseeing trip only included the Parthenon museum and sightseeing atop the Acropolis, due to the crowds and the History Museum not being open until 1:00 p.m. The tour did not include admission tickets, so I had to purchase admission separately to both sites. When we were finished, I was unable to reach our driver due to a glitch in WhatsApp, and finally was able to have a woman call our driver, at which point she did arrive. Unfortunately, the sightseeing was WAY OVERPRICED!!! It was over $200 per person for a little bit of driving. I was very disappointed that the trip price was not mentioned beforehand, as I was under the impression that it would be reasonable, as was our pickup experience from the port. While I do heartily endorse them for transfers, the sightseeing cost was a definite ripoff and cast a heavy pall over this trip.
We arranged for a half-day trip to the Acropolis and the museum. Unfortunately, it being a Tuesday, the history museum was closed. We were given "front-door" access to the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum; however, admission was not paid for, so I had to shell out for admission at both locations for a total of over $100. Then, when the tour was ending, the price of the tour was over $200. This for just what amounted to essentially 2.5 hours of driving and no admission tickets. I was VERY displeased by the extravagant amount of this "service". Next time, I will arrange with another agency.
Our tour in Athens Greece was amazing. Our Driver Stefanos was very intentional about what sights to see, giving a great description of what we would see. We had the privacy and great atmosphere we were looking forward to. Our experience in Greece was phenomenal and we would definitely do it again. And would recommend welcome driver Stefanos to anyone. Very polite friendly and knowledgeable.

We were very fortunate to have Manos as our driver and tour guide for 4 hours of sightseeing on our last day in Athens. He was very knowledgeable and personable and especially agreeable to our requests. His suggestions all turned out to be perfect and we greatly enjoyed everything, from the National Library and Cultural Center, to the Flisvos marina, Temple of Poseidon, and delicious seaside lunch. We highly recommend Welcome Pickups- and particularly Manos-to enhance your Athens experience!
Our driver was excellent & made sure we saw everything on our list & so much more. He made sure we did not feel rushed when we would be dropped off to visit a site. He also helped by giving us recommendations on where to eat during our stay in Athens.
I actually haven't gone on my trip yet but I did book the transfers to and from my hotel to the airport. Be careful booking because even though it says you'll get a refund if you cancel more than 24 hours before you are scheduled to go... you only receive 80% of what you paid. I was canceling because we decided to do one of there sight seeing trips instead. So you can cancel... then get a coupon for the full amount you paid. It has been over 3 hours and I still haven't received the coupon and now I am very uncertain if I should book the site seeing tour. I actually didn't do this tour yet... just had a wlcome pickup scheduled. The review wouldn't let me
Nikolaos was our guide and he was terrible. We paid for a wheelchair accessible tour which was booked to Welcome Pickups through Get Your Guide. The vehicle was not what we requested. It was a station wagon. The tour guide left us on the streets in a wheelchair somewhere in Athens and lied about the streets being blocked because of a fire and said he had to get to the airport. Taxi drivers in Athens do not like to pick up people in wheelchairs so we couldn't get anyone to get us home. A nice person in a restaurant had to beg a taxi driver to take us home. I do not recommend this company. They treat the handicapped horribly.
We had a great half-day tour to Poseidon Temple near Athens. Driver Ilias Kanteres very polite and with a lot of knowledge regarding Greek ancient culture was a very pleasant host. He drove us to the best places and finally to a very good fish restaurant clode to the see. It was an unforgettable day and I recommend to all the persons who want to try this nice experience.
We had a wonderful day that we spent with our driver, Ilias Kanteres, as he has shown us some spectecular spots around Athens like Marathon and Piraeus. He was a nice company to have especially because he was so caring and respectful. The tour he planned was just perfect for us. He even gave us special tips concerning food and restaurants. I would definitely recommend him to anyone visiting Athens.
Our guide John was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. My mother has limited mobility and John took her for a coffee while my son and I climbed the Acropolis. He was happy to answer all our questions about the economy, education, politics and general living in Greece. John has great knowledge of the city and back streets which allowed him to navigate around backs street to avoid congestion caused by the protest. I highly recommend this tour. Thanks John!

Half Day Tour was overall perfect. Our guide pucked us up.on time. He was courteous, knowledgeable and agreeable. We had already toured the major sights and we wanted to see others that were off the regular list. The only dissapointment was the food tasting. We only tasted olive oil and the person who did it was quite obnoxious. It was not enjoyable. But, this was not thr guide's fault. It was the company's fault I would use them again but make sure to clarify the food tour.
