Great tour! Ilias was an awesome driver. He was very friendly and accommodating. By Greek law he is not allowed to guide on-site, but when asked he made arrangements for a professional guide (who was awesome as well) to guide at one of the sites. He took us to a great restaurant for a late lunch after the last site. Wonderful trip and driver!

We had a lovely trip with Dmitri to Delphi. He was knowledge and a very safe driver. We were 3 and it looks like 3 and under it is usually a taxi that has to service based on local rules. It was a Mercedes taxi and very comfortable. We had a great trip and a wonderful time.
Our tour guide, Kostas, made our experience unforgettable. Not only did he show us beautiful places, but he also took us to the best local restaurants with amazing Greek food, steering us away from the touristy spots. He knew so much about the history and shared captivating stories while we drove around. We highly recommend him to anyone who wants to explore Greece and have an amazing time discovering its wonders.

We had Petros pick us up from the airport and drop us off in Athens, and straight off the bat he was incredibly informative and personable. We originally had a group tour to Delphi booked through Viator that last minute got cancelled due to low participation. Luckily Petros has sent us a text after dropping us off, with lots of useful links and info to help with our trip, including day trips! We booked Petros again for a private day trip to Delphi which was an incredible experience. Talking to a real local about life in Greece, the history of different locations, with real local food recommendations and the ability to spend as much time as you want at each location made our trip so memorable. We enjoyed this trip so much we followed up the next day to also request for the Nafplio & the Peloponnese Private Day Trip as well which turned out to be another incredible experience. We were seeing many group tours and felt we made the right decision to not be part of a big group with a headphone in ear, walking around in silence and getting rushed around the breathtaking sites. Our private tour gave us our own space and time to enjoy the different locations but also someone to answer any questions we had. Thank you Petros for putting up with us for 3 trips! We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Delphi with a very good, friendly driver. Ioannis Papagiannis gave us advice for the visits and for lunch. He told us about some of the stories/myths, pointed out various sights and view points. At no time did we feel pressured or rushed. A very relaxed way to see Delphi. Our personal advice would be to stop at the monastery ( should you wish to) after visiting Delphi and the museum. That way you see how much time you have left. We definitely recommend this trip.
Knowing the particular driver (Venediktos ) from Welcome Pickups from previous tours and transfers, I asked them to suggest something for my family and myself while staying in Athens for a couple of days. The Day Trip to Delphi was suggested - with pickup from our hotel in Monastiraki and drop-off at the airport. The drive from Athens to Delphi is quite long, but the car was comfortable and the driver skilled. The driver had good knowledge of the area and it was easy to make conversation with them. A short coffee-stop half way there was appreciated. The Archaeological Site of Delphi is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. A very interesting place. We spent some time at the outdoor site and in the museum while our driver was patiently waiting for us. We were recommended a place in the village of Delphi to have lunch. A nice place with good food (see other review). After the drive back to Athens - including a coffee stop - we were delivered at the airport in time for our flight. Thank you so much!
We used the 'airport transfer' service + a 9-hour day trip to Delphi, including lunch stops in the affluent area of Arachova and the historical Hosios Loukos Monastery. Our Airbnb was 40 minutes away from Athens Airport and the cost was a very reasonable €41.20 split between our group of 3 people. Our driver was early and met us inside the baggage area of Athens Airport with a personalized sign with our name. This service was convenient, professional, and reasonable in terms of cost. The same driver is assigned throughout your trip. Highly recommend!
We took a tour to Delphi, traveling there and back to Athens by bus. The pick-up point was convenient and we left on time. Once we hit all the pick-up points, the guide began chatting about the city and the drive to Delphi. As we got closer to Delphi, the guide began providing specific information about the tours we would take. He knew his history and--having been an archeologist--knew a whole bunch about the site. Once we arrived, our guide was an excellent source of information. He was also patient with one guest who insisted on trying to show how smart she was. She was often wrong, but he did his best to guide her past her misconceptions while continuing to do his best to ensure that the other guests were not distracted. All in all, a very good and worthwhile trip.

Our driver was on time, great narrative and had an immaculately clean and comfortable car with snacks and water. We visited a hilltop monastery and stopped for photos along the way. Lunch in the lovely mountain village of Archiva was nice with stunning views. Be sure to try their famous for ales cheese! Unfortunately neither we or our driver confirmed the Delphi site open hours that day, and we arrived one hour before they closed early that day at 3:30! We made it to the stadium at the top in less than 20 minutes!

The Delphi day trip was a day well spent during our short visit to Athens. Our Welcome Pickups driver/tour guide was Ilias, he was extremely professional and gave us very useful tips. The highlight of our trip was when Ilias took us to his favorite restaurant after our hike from the ancient stadium of Delphi at the very top of the archeological site. It is family owned and we got to meet the entire family that does everything in the restaurant- undoubtedly the best local food we had during our our trip. The Delphi archeological site is absolutely fascinating, highly recommended and hope you get Ilias as your driver!
This was a $400 cab ride. Now, maybe it's in appropriate to criticize it for that, because perhaps that's all that was advertised. But to be clear, this service, which is priced comparably to services with tour guides, provides nothing on the tour guide side of things. The person simply drives you to the desitnation, waits, and then drives you back. Should I have just gottne an uber?
Fascinating - amazing to think of the engineering to build something that would have been so spectacular on such a steep site. Driver was very well informed about current day issues in Greece, and it was interesting to get glimpses of the farming in that area as we travelled to and from Delphi. Great day.
We booked the Day trip to Delphi with Welcome Pickups and it was one of the highlights of our trip. From the time we were picked up from our hotel till we were dropped back, our driver Charis made sure we were taken care of. As much as we enjoyed Delphi, the ride there and back was as enjoyable as Charis shared his knowledge of history along the way. Would highly recommend him and this tour.
We booked Welcome Pickups probably 4 times during our Greek Holiday and every time the drivers were excellent. Two that were standout was our Driver to Delphi for the day. It was not cheap but worth every cent. Personal and tailored to our needs.. suggestions on places to see enroute .. door to door without stress.. wonderful ! Also our driver who collected us from our Hotel to Piraeus port. I had misplaced my favourite cap & our driver from Delphi trip found it in his car and passed it onto our Piraeus trip driver. I was extremely happy 😊.. Ilias Kanteres, was our wonderful driver to Delphi which completed this whole experience ! and, Panagiotis Bairaktaris collected (with my cap) us from our hotel to Piraeus with clear instructions regarding the ferry. I would highly recommend WELCOME from Airport collection to Ferry departure and onwards in Crete.. 4 drivers all exceptional !!
a long drive to get to Delphi but it was worth it. good driver guide along the way. wifi available if needed. Being alone this was quite expensive unfortunately for me.
