This was a good way to see some of the lesser known areas of Athens. Our guide was knowledgeable and pointed out. Many interesting places.

Great guide. Good blend of historical information with current culture. Learn how residents live and where they go. Great way to see things tour groups won't take you to.
Maxim was great. So charming and polite. He shared his Greek heritage and pride in his city. It was a wonderful way to start our experience in Athens, with a great overview and recommendations for lunch and dinner and desserts. It was like seeing a cousin you haven't seen in year's or an old friend. It was so comfortable and not rushed.
Our guide was excellent in terms of first asking what we wanted to focus on and then providing an outstanding overview/walk of quaint Athens neighborhoods we wouldn’t normally see.
Eleni was great and very accommodating. I had trouble with transportation from airport/downtown/hostel, and since she could postpone our tour, she kindly suggested to meet up a little bit later than what I scheduled ( I didn't ask: she offered:) She took me to places where locals go and regular tours don't cover. It was nice to see parts of the city not full of tourists. She also pointed out good places to get food and drinks, and what to ask for: sweet bougatsa for breakfast, spinach/cheese for lunch or dinner. She also noticed I love graffiti, then she made sure to walk by places with pretty cool art. I more than recommend her and her tour! I had a delightful evening walking with her.
Thank you, Sotiria - my very special adventurous bike guide. It was a pleasure to do the bike ride with you exploring all important highlights of Athens. You made my day:-) Best regards. Joern from Norway
My wife and I spent a half day with Nikolas yesterday and enjoyed every minute of it. Niko (we quickly became friends!) gave us a real insight into places we would not have been able to see any other way in such a short time, from magnificent views of the City, to the Port of Piraeus, to interesting neighborhoods. His knowledge of history was especially impressive. We did find ourselves having to ask about buildings we were passing from time to time (as a former guide myself, used to point out any and every building of possible interest) but that shortfall did not spoil the excellent few hours we had with Niko. Hugs all around when we left.
This is our second Athens tour with Yorgos. He is no longer just a tour guide, he is now a friend. He gave us an amazing unscripted tour of 'hidden' places in Athens, including Philopappos Hill, Anafiotika - with its unique alleys in Plaka and a nice visit to several Byzantine churches. A very productive and educational 4-hour tour ! I should also add that Yorgos is a pretty good photographer, capturing the right moments and angles of the various sites we visited. We highly recommend him !
Manos as a guide tells a lot of very interesting storries during the walk along and through historical areas of Athens. He shows you places you had never found by your own. The walk with teenagers can so become a happy time.
Fotis' personalized attention made my extended layover in Athens a great experience. His flexible approach and deep knowledge provided for a very positive time. Fotis obviously knows the city very well and also is very personable.I highly recommend Fotis.
We arranged with Nikolas for a 4 hour tour of Athens while we were in port during a cruise. He graciously picked us up at the port and drove us to many interesting sites throughout the city, where we stopped, walked a bit and talked. He was extremely pleasant, engaging and informative. His english was excellent. We would have never been able to see so much or learn as much about the city if it were not for Nikolas. It was an extremely worthwhile and enjoyable experience. Nikolas dropped us off in old town where we spent the rest of the afternoon on our own.We were really impressed with Athens, thanks to Nikolas. We highly recommend Nikolas!
My husband and I stayed in Athens for one day only, and Yorgos gave us a great deal of information on culture, history, and Greek mythology. We greatly enjoyed the tour and have wonderful memories of the beautiful ancient city of Athens.
We had an amazing experience seeing Athens with Fotis as our guide. He arrived on time and immediately put us at ease with his friendly conversation. He taught us many facts about Athens as we toured the sights. He took many photographs for us so that we will have memories to look back on. We highly recommend Fotis. He started as out as our guide but ended as our new friend.
Nicholas picked us up very promptly at our hotel and personalized our tour, taking us to some off the beaten track places that we would otherwise nothave found. He was very personable, we liked his sense of humor and honesty. We would recommend him to youas a local who can give you a feel for his culture and the people of Greece as well as the history.Thank youNicholas and withlocals!
Marina was an awesome guide! People say not-so-nice things about Athens - if you do this tour, you will see the real city. Marina was informative but interesting, and the tour flew. She took us on a route around key landmarks in the city via streets and pathways we would never have found on our own. We really got to see the gorgeous side of Athens. She also left us with off-the-beaten path recommendations for food and drinks for after the tour. We followed her advice and did an awesome wine-tasting and had great cocktails in a whole different (and better) neighborhood than we had planned. Take this tour!
Yorgos was excellent! He was a good driver--very safe, but efficient. His English was excellent!Best of all however, was his local knowledge and his knowledge of history.I would highly recommend him for any tour of Athens that you might offer.
Had a wonderful tour right as we got off our flight. Nikolas gave us a real local experience. He was so personable that we wanted to take him home with us!
My husband and I spent the day with Fotis and it felt like we spent the day with family. He was warm, so accommodating, and did not know what to do to make our day memorable. If you are looking for a great tour guide in Athens Fotis is your guide.
Our group of 10 people (9 women + 1 man) had a great experience with Kabalan. He took us to many places to get a good experience of Athens. We got everything we asked for, not a pre-planned experience like most tours offer. He allowed us to customize our tour and was flexible in changing of meeting times. We told him what we wanted and he accommodated our every request. He was very knowledgeable about Greek history and the history of Athens and answered every question we asked (adding stories and Greek mythologies). He provided a passionate experience and took us to unique local establishments that were very traditionally Greek. If you want a guide that will be a friend you have known for years by the end of your tour, and make sure you have a pleasurable experience without ever looking at his watch, Kabalan is your man and I highly recommend him.
We spent the day with Yorgos exploring Athens by car and on foot. It was a wonderful, comprehensive, fun time! He was very knowledgeable about the historical sites as well as the current, trendy locations. He also took us to places with breathtaking views and happily acted as our photographer so that we could be in the pictures too. In addition, we had a couple of requests for stops and he gladly obliged. Yorgos was great and we would highly recommend him for a tour of Athens!
Eleni is one of the best tour guides I have ever had. I was only in Athens for a day so I was looking for an afternoon tour. The tour originally was scheduled for 3:00 pm but I asked Eleni if we could move the tour up an hour to 2:00 so I could have more time and she gladly obliged. We met in Monastiraki square and immediately Eleni noticed I was carrying two bags so she took me to a luggage storage shop where I paid four euros to keep my bags secure for the entire day and I was able to enjoy a relaxed and enjoyable tour for the next five hours. Eleni began the tour giving a brief history of the square where we stood followed by an explanation of the overall layout of Athens before we began walking through the city center's different neighborhoods, local shops, as well the meat markets. While Athens no doubt is known for its historical sights this tour was able to combine both local and everday places in the city along with the world famous landmarks. My mind wonders so I would often ask questions that were sometimes not related to specific points of discussion, but Eleni graciously answered my questions not shying away from giving her opinion, and skillfully redirected my focus back on the tour with the next stop. The trip included viewing the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the temple of the Olympian of Zeus, a Syntagma guards ceremony, plaka neighborhood viewing the cast city of Athens, the Olympic Stadium, a and a stroll through the National garden where we were able to view birds and headbutting sheep. Halfway through the tour after viewing the amazing graffiti artwork and scenic views of the plaka neighborhood we stopped for a break at a coffee shop and had some of the famous Athenian coffee. When we finished the tour I did not realize how the time had passed. Eleni has a wealth of knowledge about her city of Athens, she was personable and a joy to be with. I highly recommend touring with Eleni if you are ever in Athens
The guide cancelled and told us we would receive reimbursement for the non-tour. We have received no acknowledgment of this by you nor a credit to our account. Please acknowledge directly to me. Dori Katz
We were 2 couples in Athens and had a great experience with Ariadni. We saw many neighborhoods and of course the Acropolis & Parthenon flea and antiquities markets. We went to the port city of Pareus for seafood and a few other stops a few miles out of the city. We learned about the heart and soul of Athens through the heart and soul of Ariadni. Oh, we sampled the best baklava and kataifi on the planet. We couldn't give a higher recommendation. Book ASAP as Ariadni is always busy. We miss her already
I chose this tour to help save my feet after walking round all the usual tourist spots, plus the fact that I wanted to see Athens from different perspectives- from places tourists would not necessarily know to go to! Theodore is a complete legend and so easy to get on with. He's really considerate and knows his history so I felt able to ask him anything. He is very friendly and really the 3 hour tour was a definite highlight of my trip. I would recommend anyone wanting a new experience in Athens to do this tour- I cannot recommend it highly enough. And I got some great photos to show everyone back home!
We couldn't have found a more perfect introduction to Athens than with Theodore and his amazing classic Fiat 500. He took us to some great locations including some we would have never know about and we got a great reactions from everyone who saw us on the road. You can tell Theodore has a great love for his city and is enthusiastic to share it with you. 100% recommend doing this tour if you're new to Athens.

Irini was terrific. She's funny, vivacious, energetic and obviously loves her city and neighborhood. She took us into narrow alleys, where we met some of the residents, to out-of-the way monuments, pocket churches, and beautiful graffiti walls, to stalls in the central market, where every vendor seemed to know her, and to hidden bistros, where locals go for drinks, music and conversation. If you want to know the Plaka and Monastraki districts better, walking with Irini is a must.

Our guide was very good - only problem we had was trying to find somewhere to eat in an area that she had recommended as most of it was closed due to the students being on holiday. Apparently it is cheap and buzzing when they are there.

We had great time exploring the streets, neighbourhoods and hidden gems of Athens! Thank you Irini!

Irini was a great guide, both telling us local history while guiding us through secret hideaways in Plaka, and showing us things off the beaten path private rooftop view, suggestions of cafes, a more scemice, easier route from Plaka to the Acropolis entrance. She is charming and can bring you to everything from hipster cafes favored only by locals to routes with less/slower walking for the less able. Since she is from a local family, she's a fount of accurate info, and even brought us homemade Epiphany cookies. When we needed a recommendation the next day, she was accessible by phone to help. Very highly recommened: flexible, affable, and fluent in most European languages. Great in English and French for us.

Highly recommend to all of my friend
She is very pleasant , nice , etc.

Fantastic tour! Great opportunity to see both the non-touristy places and the hidden touristy places in Athens. That authentic local experience everyone looks for when they travel. A great way to start your time in Athens as you will get some insider tips to enhance your time there. Irini is very personable and makes you feel like a friend. She also asks you your personal interests so she can customize the tour for you. Incredible value for a private guide.
