Great day. Great guide. Wonderful experience. Tas was very knowledgeable about biblical history of the ancient world and St Paul in particular. We highly recommend this tour!

Visit the Isthmus Canal, one of the most important projects of the 19th century, an engineering masterpiece, playing a catalytic role for Mediterranean trade.
Visit Ancient Diolkos - discover the ancient limestone roads where boat trailers, slaves, ox and other animals were used to heave boats from the Corinthian Gulf to the Saronic sea controlling over 270 Greek colonies. All coastal Mediterranean cities today were once Greek. This brought the geographical and geopolitical dominance of Corinth and played a catalytic role in why the apostle Paul chose to stay for 18 months in Corinth and why he was adamant in establishing his ministry there.
Visit Acrocorinth, the acropolis of ancient Corinth, a monolithic rock 1886 ft above sea level with 4.9 miles of walls - keep and three gates. One of the most impressive and dominant natural defence fortifications today. Remains of churches, mosques, houses and cisterns together with the temple of Aphrodite that once stood can be appreciated. This is where Pegasus, the winged horse grazed. From here we also admire the Frankish tower, breathtaking views of the valley below, the Corinthian and Saronic sea. Visit Hadgimoustafa spring: a fountain built during the Ottoman empire in 1555 AD. Running water from the Upper Pieriene spring accidentally discovered when Pegasus hit his hoof trying to fly away from Velerefonte and the goddess Athena is still flowing today.
Citae Madre - The Mother of all Cities! Visit the Neo Byzantine church of the Virgin Mary, admiring the marble plaque which reads 'The Hymns of Love' First Corinthians 13 1:8 and 'The Greatest of these is Love" which is found in First Corinthians 13:13. Visit the Neo Byzantine church dedicated to the apostle Paul analysing the 'Vision of the apostle Paul' and Paul's life in Corinth. A wonderful mosaic by Vlasis Tsotsonis depicting Saul on his way to Damascus in 34 AD to persecute the Christians and bring them back to Jerusalem. Hearing the voice and blinded by the light we discuss his transition his baptism by Ananias and understand his hardships in the city of Corinth including his 'judgement' by Gallio Acts 9 7:9 ACTS 9 10:19 ACTS 18 12:17
Visit the Archaeological Museum: Housing a large collection of artifacts from the local site and from smaller sites in the neighboring area we appreciate the Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman world. Visit the Archaeological site: Temple of Apollo - one of the earliest Doric temples in the Peloponnese and the Greek mainland with Doric monolithic columns, rare in the ancient world, built around 560 BCE. The Roman Agora -consisting of central shops, one of the best examples of a Roman market place. Small temples and altars, Roman buildings, the ancient amphitheatre, the Roman Odeon, the Glaufkus fountain, the Roman baths, the Lechaion road, the Roman forum and the renowned podium or Bema from where the Apostle Paul was 'judged' and presented officially for the first time to the Greeks and Romans as a Roman Citizen. It is on this platform that he preached the Belief. ACTS 18 12:17
Enjoy an authentic "village style" lunch in Ancient Corinth or a wonderful seaside lunch at the Baths of Helen of Troy.
Visit the ancient port of Kenchreai or Cenchreae by the Saronic sea one of the two ports of the inland city state of Corinth.Tracing the footsteps of the Apostle Paul and his exodus from Corinth in 53 AD sailing to Ephesus with Aquila and Prescila we discuss the Nazarite vow- the cutting of the hair AC 18:18. Our tour to Corinth was the most in-depth memorable day of our 12 day vacation. Yannis’ deep knowledge and understanding of the history of Corinth and the Apostle Paul’s life was inspirational and engaging. We rate this tour 5 stars all the way around.
Tas made this the best experience ever:). His details and knowledge were amazing. We learned so much:). I highly recommend this tour, and I look forward to booking another tour with Tas to do tours like Delphi and other locations that Paul had went in the northern part of Greece. I will be recommending him for my clients. I love that he took photos of us at locations and will be sending them to us with the information that correlates with the biblical references. Going to ancient Corinth is beyond amazing. I think I enjoyed it better than the Acropolis in Athens.
We had an amazing tour with Tas Papaioannou. He was very informative, friendly and we had a perfect day exploring Corinth! You could tell he enjoyed doing this tour. It was our favorite tour that we did in Greece. The restaurant he took us too, Gemelos Taverna, was soooo good! We let him order for us and we got quite the taste of Greece this way!! A huge thank you to Tas!!
Absolutely outstanding! Our tour of Ancient Corinth with Tas was one of the highlights of our time in Greece! Tas was a fantastic guide and driver whose knowledge, warmth, and passion made every moment special. Walking in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul was deeply meaningful, and the breathtaking views and incredible historical sites left us in awe. Everything was perfectly planned, and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. We cannot recommend Tas highly enough! If you are visiting Corinth, this is the tour to take. Five stars all the way!
Go with Tas. You will learn about history, philosophy, religion, modern Greece, all with unapologetic interpretations, memories, and personal anecdotes. Impeccable courtesy and English language, too. Thanks for a great day for our family. We hope to be back and bring other family members - God willing! Finally, we want to say a deep felt thanks the people of Greece for sharing their extraordinary nature and heritage with the rest of the world.
We were excited to book this tour and we were not disappointed. Our guide was Tas and he was awesome! Tas explained what we were looking at historically, Biblically, and event the importance today. We could not have asked for a better excursion or experience. THANK YOU Tas and Ancient Greece Tours.
Such a great experience! We didn’t realize how fascinating Corinth was before this tour. George was a careful and friendly driver. The plan was well laid out to get the most for our time. The other tour we had booked was cancelled because of weather, so we only booked this the day before and they pulled it together for us. They made an exception and went out of the hotel zone to pick us up right from our Airbnb. Christina was fantastic as our guide in ancient Corinth. We learned so much. Highly recommend!
The private tour was excellent & exactly what we were looking for. Our guide Peter was very professional, a wealth of knowledge, extremely helpful & fun. Really enjoyed our day.
What an amazing day. We had no idea how many ruins were available to see. Peter was a very professional, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful guide. Really enjoyed our day.
TAS was the absolute BEST!!! Had all the information we were looking for and MORE! Highly RECOMMENDED!!! My absolute favorite Tour Guide Ever!
This is the third year we have used Ancient Greece Tours, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. From start to finish, their team has been professional, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. Their communication is excellent, and they have always been helpful, flexible, and willing to accommodate the unique needs of our group. Our guide was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, funny and wonderful with our students. She brought the history and culture to life while helping us have fun along the way. After three years of working with Ancient Greece Tours, I can confidently say that they have become a trusted partner for our trips. I’m so glad we found them, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, well priced travel company.
Our driver Peter was very informative and friendly. We learned a lot of Corinth’s history that made me proud as a Greek American. I think many people will enjoy this tour.
This experience is worth every penny. What a blessing it was to have a day with Yannis. We deeply appreciate him sharing his wealth of knowledge with us. Each stop was informative and meaningful. Yannis went above and beyond to give us the very best experience we could possibly have. He gave us a box of cookies in the morning to snack on throughout the day while driving and he provided plenty of ice-cold water throughout the day. He even bought our daughter a box of cookies to celebrate her birthday, which was the day after our tour. It was the kindest gesture. If you have any interest in Paul, Biblical history, cultural history, or Greek mythology, you should take this tour. Yannis is an expert with a vast amount of knowledge and he is enjoyable to listen to because it is evident he is passionate about sharing this history with others.
We had an absolutely incredible experience with Ancient Greece Tours, and our guide, Tas, made the day unforgettable. His passion for Greek history, archaeology, and the life of the Apostle Paul brought every stop to life. He didn’t just show us the sites—he helped us understand their historical, cultural, and biblical significance in a way that was engaging, insightful, and easy to follow. Walking in the footsteps of Paul through Athens, Corinth, and Cenchreae made Scripture come alive in ways we had never experienced before. Tas’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and storytelling transformed what could have been a sightseeing tour into one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip. If you’re looking for a tour that is historically rich, biblically insightful, and deeply inspiring, we cannot recommend Ancient Greece Tours and Tas highly enough. It was truly one of the highlights of our time in Greece, and a day we’ll never forget.
Was not prepared for the impact of this incredible tour that Tas provided for us. My wife and I wanted to see ancient Corinth based on the recent study of Acts in the Bible. We had his undivided attention as it was just the 2 of us. Tas was incredible in providing so much detail for the surrounding area. So much rich history. Tas always made sure we were comfortable. Did not let an opportunity go by to share knowledge on something significant. The length of the tour was perfect and it covered so much. If you are looking for a very good “class” on ancient Corinth, for the money, this can’t be beat.
We had a wonderful time on our tour of Corinth. Our driver and guide Bill picked our family up at our hotel near downtown and drove us to see the Corinth canal. A marvelous feat of engineering! We then went to visit the archeological site in Corinth and met up with our guide Vera (arranged for an additional fee, but well worth it). She gave us the history of the site, including the experience of the apostle Paul and the significance of his ministry there for the spread of Christianity. She was extremely knowledgeable and made the site much more understandable than simply wandering around the museum and the grounds by ourselves. After this, we went to the. According and climbed to the top to take in the view. Somewhat exhausting but worth it in the end! We then had the opportunity to have a late lunch to rest and cool off. Then, on the drive back, Bill took us to the port where the apostle Paul sailed for Ephesus. It was pretty amazing to stand in the ruins of a port where Paul caught a boat 2000 years ago we then headed back to the hotel with plenty of time to get dinner. All in all, a wonderful experience!
This is a very simple rating. Absolutely a 5 star for our driver Peter. The tour was titled a ‘Private Biblical tour Ancient Corinth and Isthmus canal’. Peter is very knowledgeable of Apostle Paul’s biblical presence in Corinth and the locations he actually walked on. Quite humbling to think you stood where Paul stood so long ago. The Corinth canal is an engineering marvel. Just wait until you hear about how vessels were transported across the land prior to the canal. Many stops with educational discussions but the highlight was the Corinth acropolis. Massive. Much larger than Athens. And a super museum at its base. If you plan to hike up the acropolis be sure to wear proper walking footwear. The rocks are extremely slippery even in dry conditions. To end the day with an afternoon lunch, we dined on the rooftop of Gemelos Tavern. The pork gyro meat is to die for. No joke. We had traditional Greek salad. So much better than the states. The view of the acropolis is amazing and will be remembered forever. Once again, highly recommend this tour, and Peter is fantastic.
Our guide, Tas, made this trip so memorable and enjoyable. He picked us up on time from our hotel, provided plenty of cold water and snacks, made sure we were comfortable and conversed with us the whole time. He did not set a time limit on the tour, which lasted nearly 10 hours. Tas is very knowledgeable about Corinth as he actually lives nearby and within sight of one of the stops in Cenchrae. Tas is also well versed in the Bible as each location he took us to he gave us the Biblical references of what took place there. He designs the tour to accommodate both those of the Christian faith as well as the non believer. As a Christian, he was able to answer other questions with deeper meaning and discussion as they were asked from us. He took us to about 10 places, including the canal and gave us detailed information at each about what happened, who was there, the meaning, and allowed for questions. One nice touch is he took pictures of us at each stop and sent them to us a day after the tour was complete with references and extra detail for further research. I am unsure if he does this for every tour, but he gave us a gift, a book about Paul and Corinth at the end of the tour. There was not a single dull moment and the conversation with him was truly amazing. I could talk to Tas all week and not get bored. He is a very personable individual and actually cares that you have an enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend Tas and this tour to anyone considering it. It is defiantly worth it.

We had a wonderful day with Peter. He was friendly and thoughtful in taking care of us. We were picked up right on time just outside our AirBNB and the drive to Corinth was filled with a little friendly chit chat and a lot of very interesting history. Getting the overview of the history on the way to the various stops was a great set up to seeing the sights. Having a guide definitely helped us appreciate and understand what we were seeing. We felt at ease, not rushed, and taken care of all day. Thank you for a memorable experience.
From Athens, it was a little over an hour drive. Yannis was the tour leader. He was extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much. We saw amazing history. Information on Paul and why he spent his time in Corinth. Corinth is such a beautiful place with such importance in history. We could not imagine a better guide than Yannis, truly amazing and highly recommended!
Amazing experience! Peter, our driver, definitely made the difference. Information, good vibes, kindness and professionalism, all mixed with a genuine smile.
This was one of the most special days we have ever had with our boys 18-22. Particularly if you are a Follower of Christ, Yannis - main tour from Athens to Sites on the way focusing on Paul's footsteps, and Christina as our guide on site at the ancient Corinth Archeological site and museum are incredibly knowledgeable both in Greek and Biblical history. It was really special! Also got into a very spiritual discussion of how Paul's ministry changed and became more effective at Corinth. Incredible depth of knowledge.
We had an awesome tour with our guide, Giannis! He was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and managed our time well. He was patient to answer our many questions about Athens, ancient Corinth, and the canal. He also took us to the ancient castle in akrocorinth, and we traced the footsteps of the apostle Paul. He recommended an excellent Greek restaurant that had fabulous food as well. And he returned us to our ship right on time as well. We highly recommend him and this tour!
I would not call this a tour. Instead, it was a very expensive cab ride. The tour itinerary (and high price) implied we would get a trained tour guide and be provided with excellent service. Instead, we were picked up by a taxi and dropped off at designated locations to tour by ourselves. Guide was a taxi driver by trade not a trained tour guide. He rarely spoke to us while driving to and from Corinth, except to tell us how awful things are in Greece and how hard it is to make ends meet. He didn't provide any valuable information about the ancient city of Corinth and was not at all friendly. I think we knew more about Ancient Corinth than he did! We basically spent a lot of money on a very expensive cab ride. I would not recommend this experience. Deeply disappointed and feel ripped off. Will never use Viator again as I expect them to provide quality control on the tours they offer on their platform. Obviously not the case.
Fantastic tour. Our driver and guide Nikos was friendly, helpful and welcoming. His car was comfortable and spotless. His knowledge of the places we visited historically and to present day was excellent and the choices of places we visited was perfect. Starting at the Corinth Canal, stunning both engineering and visual wise. Then following the route of St Paul we drove, walked, visited some amazing historical and archaeological sites. The climb to the top of Acrocorinth was stunning, it’s a huge castle area to explore (you’d need a couple of days to see it all). Nikos provided clear explanations, had friendly chats, was flexible, provided water, excellent driver and made the day special. Thank you
If you are Christian it is a humbling experience to stand where Apostle Paul preaches. All the sites are amazing. Our driver Tas should be a history teacher. We learned and remembered things long forgotten. There is no way to see all we seen on your own.
If you enjoy the Biblical stories of Greece and St Paul, this tour is great. Yannis K., our tour guide, was not only extremely knowledgable but super passionate. He wants to teach you. Best of the 4 tours of Greece And Rome I have taken because of Yannis.
We had a wonderful experience on our private biblical tour to Corinth, and much of that is thanks to our guide, Tas. He is not only an excellent guide, but also a knowledgeable historian and an engaging storyteller who truly brought the sites to life. What stood out most was his ability to seamlessly connect biblical references with historical context, making the experience both insightful and deeply meaningful. The tour itself was relaxed yet enriching, allowing us to fully appreciate the significance of Corinth without feeling rushed. The journey was also very comfortable, which made the overall experience even more enjoyable. It was especially helpful that Tas is originally from Corinth—his local connection added an extra layer of authenticity and depth to the tour. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a thoughtful, well-paced, and insightful biblical tour experience.
This tour was the highlight of our trip!! 10/10 would recommend to everyone! Tas our guide was absolutely incredible and all the knowledge and details he shared every step along the way just made the whole experience so immersive and meaningful. Definitely made the right decision to book a private tour for this experience. It’s worth it!!
Wonderful and informative tour. Great tour guide. Vehicle was clean and in like new condition. Would recommend
George was an amazing tour guide for the day. Very knowledgeable regarding the area, biblical history, and spoke impressive English. He went the extra step to be sure we had all we needed, had a great sense of humor, and extended extra help to finish out our day. We were so grateful! It was an incredible experience! Thank you, George!
We quickly upgraded from a tour of 15 to a group of 42 and they did an amazing job accommodating all of us. Excellent day and tour and every bit was well planned!
This was a truly rewarding experience and I'm so glad we booked it. Going to the places St Paul visited was so special. Tas, our guide, took us to so many places with history and meaning. He was knowledgeable and his stories were vibrant. He knew Corinth like the back of his hand and we were zipping from one place to the other safely and with ease. The restaurant he took us to was excellent! He picked us up in Athens and took us back. He took care of everything, truly an effortless day for us, but so memorable! Thank you Tas!

Yannis is AMAZING! When we left Greece the students I brought kept saying they missed him. He is such a sweet man and so knowledgeable! He made learning so fun! I loved the stories he told us about the Greeks and octopuses and Hera. He was so kind taking care of us. I highly recommend him!!!!! We felt the Greek hospitality deep with him!
Yannis was a fantastic and very personable guide. My wife was unable to go, so it ended up just being me. He treated me royally. He gave great insight into the history of Corinth, Paul's time there and so much more. The time at the canal, the castle and the ancient ruins were amazing, and he dropped me off at a very good and reasonable restaurant for lunch. We had a great time talking on the drive to and from, too.
We highly recommend this tour, especially if you are interested in the acts of the Apostle Paul in relation to Corinth. Our tour guide was Peter. He was extremely well-versed and knowledgeable about Corinth, since he lives in the area. Peter picked us up promptly at the Piraeus port, and he proceeded to basically tell us a story about the history of Corinth, the events that shaped it, its importance in world trade, and the possible reason that Paul put so much effort into birthing a church there. Peter was extremely patient with us, we never felt rushed. He answered our questions, even if we asked them multiple times. He suggested sites to visit and also incorporated some of the sites on our list. We were very pleased with this tour. You won’t be disappointed!
This is an excellent tour, especially if you are interested in knowing about the acts of the Apostle Paul in relation to Corinth. Our tour guide was Peter. Peter was extremely patient with us, we never felt rushed. He took many pictures of me and my wife as we completed the tour. He answered our questions even if we asked the same ones multiple times. He suggested sites for us to visit and also incorporated sites we had on our list. I highly recommend this tour. You will not be disappointed!
Excellent history and information on the apostle Paul and reasons why he spent so much time in Corinth.
We had an incredible time touring Corinth with Yannis. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared a lot of biblical history with us as well as local history. A couple of highlights were we got to hike the area of the Acropolis (with amazing views!) as well as tour the archaeological museum. We also toured a Greek Orthodox Church and view the Corinth canal. I would highly recommend this experience!
WOW! I think Tas will know who wrote this by the ‘wow’ factor! I am not sure how to describe this tour and our time spent with Tas because there are really no words— one word nor a whole review cannot summarize this! In my lifetime I have met many great people but our time with Tas made me realize how much memorable my experience in Greece will be. Tas made us feel right at home- gave me the most valuable and educational experience about Greece and the Bible story about St. Paul! The Bible is the best written history ever recorded. Tas made it all come alive - a whole day spent with him made me feel as if I had made a friend for life. He cares about you and he wants you to love Greece and it’s wonderful history as much as he does - that’s what a true guide does. To Tas - words will never be enough to thank you. There must have divine intervention to for our paths to have crossed - Ryan and I thank you for your time and dedication but mostly for your friendship. Thank you for introducing us to your beautiful country.
Great day. Yannis, our Guide/Driver was wonderful and knowledgeable. Amazing history and experience.
I highly recommend this tour, whether you are a Christian believer or not. Tas picked us up at our hotel in Athens and was kind from beginning to end, always making sure we were comfortable and finding us a restroom rapidly when needed. Tas knows the scriptures exceptionally well, citing chapter and verse the stories of the Apostle Paul and weaving in local stories and extra-biblical history. While my wife and I knew the biblical stories well, we came away realizing how much we did not know. Taz is from Corinth and seems to have a family relation around every turn. You won’t find a better experience. We spent the drive back to Athens learning more about Greece generally and taking in Taz’s recommendations on what to do and not to do next on our trip. Thank you Taz and Ancient Greece Tours!

We happened to pick a rainy day, but our guide Peter rearranged stops so we could be dry and still see all of the sights- walking around the acropolis, the museum and Bema area and the Corinth canal and so much more. He was so knowledgeable about everything we were seeing and we loved his passion for the history of Corinth as a local.
Yannis was very knowledgeable about St. Paul, his travels, and where he preached and why he preached in Athens and Corinth. Yannis is obviously very well read on the topic of St. Paul. He was also very friendly and accommodating to our needs.
If you are interested in the learning the history of Corinth and its importance in early sea trade, you will enjoy this tour. Imagine life for merchants ships hauling goods over the 4 mile wide isthmus between the Ionian and Aegean Seas before the Corinth Canal was cut. Our guide, Yannis, was extremely informative in making history come alive. Likewise, if your interest is learning more about the Apostle Paul's time spent in Corinth, Yannis really made the Bible come to life; walking the streets of ancient Corinth where Paul walked was awesome. If you are able, you must climb the Acrocorinth (a very steep and rocky hill) for the amazing views! Wear sturdy shoes with gripping soles as the rocks can be slick, with no handrails. Note: this is a long, 8-hour day; however, there will be a stop at a lovely Greek restaurant (not included). Our group of 8 really enjoyed Yannis, and the day.
We disembarked from our cruise ship and met George in the port. He was gracious about finding room in his trunk for all our luggage (in the rain) and then we were on our way. We were looking for a biblical tour to ancient Corinth and he was fantastic. Updated us on history, was entertaining and funny and polite. We saw the isthmus canal and then sights on Ancient Corinth. It was a great day!
