Nemea Wine Tasting & Nafplio Full-day Private Tour From Athens

Elias, Costas, and Villy were fantastic! We used Athenaos for transportation to our hotel before our cruise (Costas) and transport was fantastic. After our cruise, Villy picked us up at the port and took us to Nafplio(which we LOVED) and we spent the night. Following morning Elias picked us up an took us to Nemae for a great 3 winery tour. Again, we spent the night and the next day Elias picked us up and transported us to airport for our flight home. Drivers were all knowledgeable, cars were clean and comfortable. Cannot recommend them enough!!!

What an amazing day and truly one of our favorite experiences in Greece! We traveled from Athens to Nemea and visited two wineries, where we had so much fun learning about the history of Greek wine, seeing how wine is made in Greece, and even learning a few new things along the way. The wine pairings were perfect with the cold cuts, cheeses, and grapes, and the entire experience felt relaxed and personal. Our drivers and company were wonderful, and honestly, some of the best parts of the day were simply chatting on the drive about everyday life in Greece versus America—we loved getting that local perspective! From Nemea, we continued to beautiful Nafplio, walked through the gorgeous streets, explored, and enjoyed a late lunch before heading back to Athens. Such a fun, memorable, and well-planned day. We would absolutely recommend this experience! We were a group of 9, this was a great day!

What an amazing day! Elias was the best guide. He chose beautiful wineries with terrific wine and food. He got us there and back safely in a very comfortable car. We had water and he even got my husband a special pastry for his birthday. Elias was very knowledgeable about all of the sites and Greek history. He answered all our questions and we had great conversation. We enjoyed it so much. Highly recommend him and his company!!!

What an absolutely amazing and perfect day! Elias took such good care of us the whole time. He chose stellar wineries with terrific wine. His knowledge about the history of Greece taught us so much about where we were. What a great tour guide. I highly recommend any of the tours with his company. He showed up on time and got us back to our apartment safely. He even surprised us with sweets for my husband's birthday. We had a wonderful day.

This full-day tour was an absolute highlight of our trip. Our driver and guide Thanos was fantastic — warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to travel with. He made the entire day feel effortless and entertaining, and his insights along the way added so much to the experience. The wine tasting in the Nemea region was a wonderful surprise. Elizabeth, our wine educator, was personable, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made learning about Nemea’s wines engaging and enjoyable for everyone. The wines were superb — we especially loved the “Three Witches” blend, and went home with several bottles! If you want an informative, fun, and memorable day out of Athens, book this tour. A relaxing tour out of Athens city. Emphasis was on wine tasting and coast town of Napflio. Did not visit any ruins besides Corinth Canal. Driver was helpful and courteous.

Kostas was an outstanding guide. He made sure our experience met our expectations. The highlight was the winery Barafakas. They made the experience very personal, the wine was outstanding and included premium wines and some meat and cheese without additional charges. Will visit them again when we return next year.

We cannot recommend this private tour and our guide Kostas highly enough—our tour to the Greek wine country Nemea, Nafplio and beyond was truly the highlight of our honeymoon. From the moment we booked, his communication was prompt, clear, and thoughtful. Kostas went above and beyond in every possible way to make our day unforgettable. Every place was completely private and the wineries knew us by name already. His knowledge of Greek history, mythology, and local culture brought each stop to life, from the ancient ruins to the charming towns. He took us to the most breathtaking photo spots that we never would’ve found on our own, and he had cold water and delicious snacks ready for us throughout the day—which we didn’t realize we’d appreciate so much until we did! One of the most thoughtful aspects of the day was how he handled our food allergies. Without us even having to remind him, he had contacted each winery and restaurant ahead of time to ensure our meals were completely safe—and everything was delicious. Our lunch was one of the best meals we had in Greece! Kostas has the perfect combination of professionalism, humor, and warmth. He made us feel like we were traveling with a friend who just happens to know everything about the area. He made our honeymoon incredibly special, and we truly wouldn’t have been able to experience such a perfect day without him. If you’re thinking about booking a tour with Kostas—do it. Great trip that ended up being private since nobody else booked the same day as us. Our driver let us stay at each location as long as we wanted and answered any questions we had along the way. He gave us restaurant recommendations in Nafplio and we were picked up and dropped off right at our hotel for extra convenience. Would definitely recommend this tour.
