We went in this tour with two other couples. Our driver, George, was excellent. He shared a lot of interesting information on the way to Delphi. We spent several hours touring the temple ruins and the museum. It was all very interesting In the way back, we stopped for lunch at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the valley. It was quite lovely

Melina picked us up at our ship, and was so knowledgeable. She shared information regarding Greece, the Greek Gods, and the museum. She was attentive, friendly and made sure we were having a great time and comfortable.
We went to the museum and the temple of Apollo. Our lovely guide Melina picked us up at our Viking ship, and drove us up and back, roughly a 9 hour excursion . She is so knowledgeable about history, the Greek Gods and knew the where specific artifacts are in the museum. She truly cared about our experience.
We priced out a Delphi day trip from Athens with Crispy Local and one other company, and Crispy Local was a substantially better price. Our private driver, Melina, picked us up from our hotel and chatted about the city of Athens, history, and mythology — she pointed out landmarks along the way and was generally great. At Delphi, we had a local tour guide from Arachova who took us through the museum and the ruins. Then, Melina picked us up, recommended a delicious lunch spot, and drove us back to the hotel. We normally don’t book private tours but were traveling with our 15 month old toddler and wanted the extra privacy and flexibility. In addition to being good guides, our guides were also very sweet and accommodating to our daughter.
we had a truly wonderful full day with George today . He drove us from Athens to Delphi, talking and giving us greek information in the whole way. at Delphi, we hired a private guide, Vicky, who was quite informative, and it was definitely worth the extra money. After over two hours at Delphi, we ate at a beautiful restaurant with a spectacular view, and then we went to see the caves, which was a really great experience. It is definitely off the beaten trail and requires some bumpy driving but was definitely different and worth seeing. We stopped up at a village. Did some shopping and returned back some 11 hours later George never rushed us was very personable. Provided us with water conversation and great driving the whole time. Thank you George for giving us a great day.

The Meteora trip was spectacular! Theo was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide! Great driver, he took great care of us. He was very prompt to arrive in the morning to pick us up and got us back to our hotels safely. We enjoyed our private tour of Meteora immensely because of Theo despite the little hiccup/parking incident to which he was very apologetic. We will be happy to recommend him highly to anyone anytime!
A wonderful day in Delphi. Our driver communicated with us the morning of pick up and we had a smooth departure from Piraeus Port. During the drive to Delphi our driver explained local history to us as well as pointed out interesting sights. We arrived on time and agreed on a pick up time and location. Later our driver recommended an amazing place for lunch and gave us options for stopping on the return drive. A great day and we would recommend this booking to anyone.
The drive up to Delphi was beautiful, our tour guide Nathan was exceptional. He was so knowledgeable and well informed on the ancient civilization, we were very impressed. Nathan was also a fantastic driver. The views were spectacular after the long but well worth it hike; annd we enjoyed the museum as well. Also our lunch was absolutely delicious and so was the wine. It was a day well spent!!

We had a fantastic trip with Evangelos to Delphi! He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We were transported in a very new and clean MB van. In addition to learning about the history of Delphi and the surrounding region, it was fun to learn about the perspectives of an Athenian on everything from international basketball to local politics. He engaged just as naturally with us as with our teenage sons. We would highly recommend this tour!
George and Dimitri were excellent guides for our tour of Delphi. They picked us up and the drive was lovely way to get some interesting insights into Greece. They walked us thru each stop clearly and were full of information. Got us thru and helped us navigate around bigger crowds, which was part of goal. Took tour separate tours with Crispy Locals on my trip from the USA to Athens in May 2024. I took full day tours to Delphi and Meteora. The convenience of having a local guide who also picked me up and dropped me off at my hotel at the end of the day was phenomenal. I traveled to Athens as a single female and loved my time on both tours with two different guides. The drive time went fast because the guides (especially Harry!!) taught me so much about Greece, beyond just the ancient history, but also about the Greek people. Those conversations were so valuable to me, as a traveler wanting to know more about their country. The guides aren’t allowed to go into the historical sites with you, but they tell you everything about the site before you get there and answer any questions you have on the way back to the hotel. I absolutely recommend booking a tour or two through Crispy Locals if you are ever in Greece!
We LOVED our day trip to Delphi with Giogos. He was wonderful. He had so much knowledge about the area and was able to answer all our questions. The restaurant he chose for lunch was terrific and we enjoyed the views from there. The drive was so comfortable and it was so sweet of him to give us the treats. My husband and I had such a lovely time with Giorgos! He was an excellent driver and had answers to all our curious questions. Driving 3 hours each way to Delphi is a lot of time to spend in a car with someone, so he’s a true pro at good conversation. If you’re not the chatting type he doesn’t mind either, happy to just drive you out there and give you advice on seeing the site and the museum if that’s all you’re looking for. Delphi was of course breath-taking, and we were proud we made it all the way up to the stadium! A bucket list site for sure. On the way back, the restaurant Giorgos stopped at for lunch had a gorgeous view and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend this experience!
George was great best driver to date He was fun, provided lots of information, great with our group of 6 woman. Provided bathroom breaks as the ride from Athens was 3 hours each way. Hopefully you will get George Hantzos are your trip.

Prompt, professional and entertaining. They picked us up in the hotel in a new Mercedes and patiently answered our many questions about Greece and it’s history. We went into the Delphi complex on our own as they are not Delphi museum guides but it was easy to tour the site on our own as they had explained the history and what we would see on our drive from Athens to Delphi. We went to a beautiful, non-touristy restaurant for lunch, and walked through the beautiful town of Arachova on the way back. Nice mix of tailoring the information to our interests without giving us tiresome lectures typical of some guides. Highly recommend them.

Fantastic tour organised through crispy local. George our driver was extremely intuitive and flexible. He definitely understood what our needs new were and tailored the trip to suit our needs and mood (even without telling him). With two kids and the traffic jams getting in and out of Athens I was a bit concerned before the trip about how it would all turn out to be — but to my surprise it was a pleasant and scenic trip that never felt like a 2 and half our drive. lThe guide at Delphi also was very informative and gave us immense insight. Lunch at Delphi (at the restaurant that was reserved for us) was also a wonderful culinary delight

What a wonderful day we had at Delphi with Ioannis from Crispy Local, Athens. Great communication from the company, punctual and safe competent driving. Ioannis was very informative, friendly and obliging, we had an absolutely wonderful day seeing the sights at Delphi and would not hesitate to recommend.
After our Cape Sounion tour we decided to book another tour with this company because of the incredible experience we had. They didn’t disappoint!!! I requested George again because of his knowledge and his personality. George wants you to have a good experience and makes it happen. I asked him about the Ossios Loukas monastery and he made time for us to stop &’so happy we did. Delphi is a lot of walking make sure you bring good walking shoes. We had rain today but we didn’t let it ruin anything! We went to a lovely restaurant and had a fabulous meal. It was 9 hours all day but such a lovely trip. A nice, easy ride to Delphi! Delphi was beautiful! Our driver also booked us to a beautiful little spot for lunch. The food was amazing. The ride home was great with stops for pictures or restrooms on return, if needed.
Our driver and guide George was excellent. Delphi is beautiful and we had an amazing lunch with a beautiful view after touring the ruins and the museum. Bus drive was about 2.5 hours there (stopped for a bathroom break!) and about 2 hours on the way back. I would highly recommend this tour and George!
This day trip is a hard one to rate. Our driver, Dimetris, was very nice, but didn't speak English well. We had a difficult time communicating. We knew we would need to buy all tickets to events. But, we expected Dimertris to provide more information on the areas we visited, as well as to point out interesting tidbits along the way. Basically, we had a taxi driver in a private van. We enjoyed the sites and Dimetris did recommend a great luncheon place. We had other day trips in Greece with Tripadvisor vendors, and all provided wonderful guidance, information and history for all trips.
We decided to reserve this company, Crispy Local, to drive us from Athens to Delphi, for the day. We almost took a bus tour and it would have been fine, however, we had our own driver in a Mercedes, a local Athenian driver, John P, who was knowledgeable about the area; and most of all, we could control our schedule. John picked us up on-time at 8:00 a.m. at our Air B&B door. He jumped out of the car and took our backpacks. Every time we got in and out of the car, all day long, he jumped out and opened the door! We had a great conversation on the way to Delphi and John dropped us right in front of the entrance. He picked us up in two hours I’m front of the museum and took us to an outstanding restaurant, in Delphi village. We had a panoramic view of the valley below from a gorgeous deck. John picked us up after a 90 minute lunch and we drove two hours to our Athens Air B&B! When we asked to stop for use of the facilities or wanted to buy an energy drink, no problem. We charged our phone in the car as well. We would have snoozed on the way back but it was too interesting talking with John. He arranged for a taxi to get us at 6:00 a.m. the next morning to go to the ferry (after our Air B&B host didn’t confirm with us). John left us with a couple of really thoughtful parting gifts - Kalamata olive oil (from his own orchard) and Turkish gel candies! It was a fantastic experience and we would highly recommend this company. John also has an Air B&B called The Backyard, I’m Kalamata, Greece. It is a country villa with a pool. When we return to Greece, we plan to stay there!

John was outstanding. Communication was clear and easy. He arrived on time, and his Mercedes car is immaculately clean and comfortable. He provides just enough information and conversation to entertain but also let’s you take in and enjoy the scenery. The entire experience was a pleasure and I highly recommend John’s tour. The price, too, is outstanding.
A great trip to the mountains. The views and sites are beautiful. The lunch spot the tour guide recommended was delicious and the view was spectacular! Wear good shoes. Lots of uphill and downhill walking.

We had a fabulous day in Delphi! The scenery is gorgeous with the mountainous terrain and the ruins and museum are amazing! We decided to book this tour because we were told that the Museum is one of the best. We feel very lucky that we booked with Crispy Local! Our driver was punctual and knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable all the way. The archaeological site at a mountainous area and the views are great. We stopped at a really charming restaurant where local dishes were served and we had a great meal! Also the stop at Arachova village really made the trip more fun!
We had in our bucket list for many years a visit to Delphi the center of the world! Indeed the place is magnificent and it gives you the idea that is still alive! What a fabulous experience! We thoroughly recommend Crispy Tours and this private Full-Day Delphi tour. The drive to and from Delphi gave us the opportunity to see the beautiful country side and charming villages. Upon arrival we were met by our competent, knowledgeable guide who escorted us through the museum and told us about the many valuable and interesting exhibits before we moved outside to the archeological site. We would have missed so much without an escort! The Temple of Apollo and other ruins were a true highlight. After a beautiful lunch in the village of Delphi we were driven back to Athens.
