We were picked up by Harry at our hotel right on time in a lovely clean SUV. He was a great driver, a knowledgeable guide, and a wonderful companion. His english was strong and clear. We had an effortless ongoing conversation about everything from language to politics to history and the government structures on Greece. The sights were incredible, of course, and we had ample time to explore on our own at each of them. We had a nice stop for lunch in Napflio and the drive home along the scenic highway with wonderful views was lovely. Would recommend highly.

Our guide was so great and knowledgeable about the sites we saw. He didn't rush us along at all. All the sites had so much to see. It was a long day but it was worth it. I would definitely recommend this trip. My youngest was free getting into the sites and the adult tickets were reasonable.

We had a fabulous day visiting the Mycenae, Epidaurus and Nafplio! Theo was excellent. Pick up was smooth and easy at our hotel. Theo shared great information with us during the drive that helped us in our visit to the sites. This day was a highlight of our trip and I highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic day with George- he was an amazing guide; we had a fantastic time on our full day tour of Corinth, Nafplio, and Mycenae. We never would have been able to see all these sites on our own. George was extremely informative and made our day super smooth and relaxing, despite the number of stops! Highly recommended.

Peloponnese was really a nice area as expected. 😊 Harry made the tour even better as we felt very much comfortable and at ease in his company. Again, another well constructed tour of the Peloponnese. As before, timely introduction and updates from our driver (Dimitris) made things go very smoothly. Although Dimitris was a different personality to Theo, he too was demonstrably proud of his country and went to great lengths to demonstrate many of the sites, history, context and events that shaped his history. The tour was excellent!! Giorgio was a wonderful and safe driver/guide very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and prepared us for what to do and see. So nice and restful to do things at your own pace and not be rushing to the bus or waiting on others. I strongly recommend this tour to all it is definitely worth it. Amazing views from the top of Epidaurus and Mycenaes Archaelogical sites, Corinth Canal and Temple of Apollo. Sumptuous seafood in Nafplio and vistas of the beautiful bay and castles. Giorgos our tour guide explained much of fascinating Greek ancient and modern history, stopped often for amazing photo opportunities and providednus with a wonderful Greek loukumi treat.

If I could give 6 or more stars I would. This tour was amazing. My tour guide Nathan was absolutely amazing. The stops were so impressive and made my trip exceptional. Thank you.

Absolutely worth it. We visited very beautiful sights like Epidaurus, Nafplion and Mycenae. They were invaluable in the history of Ancient Greece and I was grateful to be able to see and explore them with my own eyes.

These sites are absolutely worth seeing to complete your knowledge of Greek civilization. In particular, Chirinth Canal is a marvel, the ancient theater of Epidauro is amazing and walking in Nafplio, by the sea, is fantastic and relaxing. We enjoyed this tour a lot also thanks to the professionalism of the driver Alex, who was an excellent and very kind guide and recommended us a very nice and quiet restaurant near Mycene!

What a wonderful trip! Our driver was George, a senior travel advisor, and he was great. He was personable, knowledgeable, and flexible based on what we wanted to see. He was so familiar with the sites and shared so much information about them. It was so interesting and we all (5 adult family) really enjoyed the trip. I would definitely recommend him and the company. Great interaction when we booked to make sure they know what we wanted from the excursion. Highly recommend!!

The entire day was simply wonderful . Ioannis is a gifted guide and driver. his knowledge of the area and of the myths connected with the areas made the trip very interesting . We are elderly and have mobility problems but he was most sympatheitic and sensitive to our needs and limitations. The day was exceptional . We loved every minute of it.

We were picked up sharp at 8 AM which was the agreed time. We had a comfortable limo driven by a very affable gentleman called Harry who had a good knowledge of Greek history and mythology and was a wonderful travel companion. He described in length the tales and history of every site we were due to go to. We visited the Corinth Canal, Mycenae, Nafplion, and Epidaurus and we completely enjoyed each visit. On the whole, it was a delightful travel experience.

Our driver & guide Ioannis made our whole holiday. This was the second tour of the Athens area that we took with him because the first was so memorable. Our 10 year-old son loved Ioannis as well and asks if we can have him as our guide each time because he was so friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t recommend highly enough.

My daughter and I had a great day trip to Mycenae and a couple of other stops. Harry, our driver, made the day very pleasant for us and we had a great time chatting with him on the drive. Visiting the archeological site at Mycenae was the highlight of the trip for us and lunch in Nafplio was very nice. It’s such a pretty town. Overall it was a great day and I would recommend it as a day trip to anyone who is visiting Athens.

Ionnis, being our driver proved to be prompt, informative and entertaining. He knows facts/myths and shares them in an entertaining way. We ended touching upon all kinds of Greek life in the now & then, making our day fly by! The sites visited were quite interesting and you get a good idea of all that went on through the millenia. I really enjoyed this one day tour. The car (a Mercedes sedan) was very comfortable. Our chofer Giorgos was very profesional and kind. He explained us in detail all the tour stops, and was very knowledgeable on Greek history. We were able to enjoy the day at our own pace. This tour is ideal if you enjoy landscapes, history and archeological sites. The theatre of Epidaurus was my favorite! Lunch was delicious. We went to a tavern in Nafplios and tried local Greek food. I strongly recommend the cheese pie! Wear comfortable shoes, and bring sunscreen!

Ioannis is an incredible person and guide. We could not have asked for a more perfect day. Ioannis made sure that we had what we needed at all times and was so beyond knowledgeable about everything Greece. 2: We wanted to show a taste of the countryside for our guest friends. This trip was awesome. We saw many great archaeological places and heard a lot of mythology from our driver. He suggested a traditional tavern with authentic Greek dishes that our guests loved! The whole experience was great and we will book again with Crispy Local!

From 3 ,destination Mycenae,Nafplio Epudaurus, the place I loved more is Nafplio. The weather was great, the sity is magical !!! The view from the caste unique! Great food also at the tavern suggested by the driver!

If you visit Greece - do not pass up the chance to take this tour. It is that simple. Reach out to Ioannis and book it. Before I get into the details of the trip - I need to call out Ioannis and his team. They were a key reason why our family trip to Greece was such a great, once in a lifetime event. I arranged the trip for my extended family - a group of 12 ultimately who arrived during the course of our first week in Athens. For anyone who has done similar - the coordination for a party of 12 is not simple or straightforward. You cannot just call a cab or Uber, getting everyone to dinner or to an activity requires special planning and coordination. I initially contacted Ioannis for this tour but as I continued my planning and even once we were in Athens, I'd reach out to him for airport pickup/dropoff, transportation in the city, even a scuba diving trip - he arranged it all, sometimes on less than 24 hours notice. This particular tour was great precisely because of the care and planning Ioannis and his team put into it. Full Stop. On to the details - If you appreciate Greek history, if you have read the Iliad or the Odyssey or are familiar with the mythology of Hercules - visiting Mycenae will give you a new, deeper understanding of Greek history and mythology. From the Mycenaen citadel you can see Argos (another key ancient city-state) as well as Nemea, where Hercules had his first labor(slaying the Nemean lion - whose fleece he wears in most ancient statuary to identify him as Hercules). In fact from the citadel you can see the locations of Hercules first four labors. The archaeological site, the beehive tombs and the Lions' Gate are spectacular and a trip to Greece without visiting them would be incomplete. After Mycenae we went to the Amphitheater of Epidaurus - which is also not to be missed, particularly if you are an engineer (as I am). It is extremely well preserved and in use today. The acoustics are not just an ancient marvel but a modern marvel as well. Someone in the center of the stage speaking in a normal voice can be heard in the back row without difficulty. My daughter is training for the theater and we have a short video of her singing 'Colors of the Wind' (from Pocahontas) on the stage - it is a treasure and one of the highlights of our trip and includes the crowd applauding her performance. Finally, we stopped in Nafplio where we had lunch beside the docks. If you want to tour a traditional Greek city and enjoy their wonderful local cuisine - Nafplio is the place for you. (History note: Nafplio was briefly the capital of Greece immediately after the Greeks drove out the Turks). For the trip we had an extremely comfortable Mercedes van and Demetrius was our driver. Demetrius is now officially part of our family. I do a lot of travel and he was one of the most professional drivers I have ever had anywhere. It was hotter than the surface of the sun when we arrived at Nafplio but he was looking cool in his suit and tie - no joking. When we arrived Nafplio he helped find a restaurant that all ten of us agreed to (I gave up - he managed to get Team Friedl to consensus on dining location). We discussed family and shared pictures of kids as my wife and daughters were shopping. We had a spectacular time in Greece and Ioannis and Demetrius are firmly part of 'Team Friedl'. We will return to Greece, we easily could have spent 2 weeks in Athens, and when we do - I will start planning with Ioannis well in advance. If you are planning a trip to Athens, you cannot go wrong doing the same.

Ioannis (John) and his team are amazing. Personalized and very flexible. My family highly recommends Crispy Local! This trip is one of the most favourite trips in Greece. My guide for this tour was Mr. Ioannis, a thorough gentleman. He knows the stories of each site right back of his hands. He has a wide knowledge on the Greek mythology and history along with current affairs. This trip is a long trip duration-wise as there are multiple stops. I was left to explore and see the sites at my own pace due to which I ended spending more time than it usually takes. We stopped for lunch at a curated cafe in Nafplio which serves fantastic local food. The tour ended with a nice stroll in the beautiful bylanes of Nafplio. Though this is one of the longest day tours from Athens, never once you will feel bored as Ioannis keeps you engaged in interesting facts and stories about Greece. This is a must do tour if you are ever visiting Greece and Crispylocal is the best tour provider you can find as they will customise as per your need.

We have had a formidable and unforgettable day in the Peloponnese. We have been able to enjoy every stop we have made without haste and at our own pace. All the places visited have been wonderful and highly recommended. And the end of the tour, in the small village Naflia, we have enjoyed it with a splendid traditional Greek food!!!!!
