This was a great tour. Compared to similar Mycanae-from-Athens day trips, this one packed in a lot more additional content at Nafpolion and Epidaurus, even if it did last a little longer. This is exactly how I would recommend to another tourist to organize their Mycanae day trip. Our guide, Kostas, was very good. He was prepared, able to answer our questions, and paced the day very well. My only wish was that there was a little more structure in Nafplion. We were given a couple hours to explore the town on our own, but we didn't use our time well because I didn't expect we would be on our own and had not made any plans.

This company was a no show w no notification. They said they refunded the money but it’s too late for us to book anything else.
Guide Mikhaila and drive Manoch was super supportive in all aspect of the tour. Recommend the company for all comes to Athens.
Our driver, Costas, made this a very memorable trip! He really knew his history of the area! This trip was a perfect get-away from Athens!
It was a nice trip. The viwes were amaising, and we have taken a lot of pictures. However, I am sorry that we cpuld not spend more time in each pleaces, expecially in Napfploin, I would have like to discover the city more.
We went as a family to Mycenae, Epidaurus and Nafplion as a part of private tour. It was very easy and fast to confirm all the tour details. Costas was great, very friendly and gave us lot of details. We had a great day!
Very Nice visit. Our private driver was very wonderful with a lot of explanations and kindless. He took care of us. We recommend very highly #thanksCosta
The scenery was beautiful. Corinth canal so impressive. The other stops was fantastic. Our guide Akis is friendly, knowledgeable and safe driver. The van was comfortable and pick up locations easy to find.
Vasillas is intellektuell person and kind. The best tourist guide. He can alot about history and his is courise person.
The tour was great! Akis was an amazing driver with a lot of interesting information. We had plenty of time to enjoy the sights.
We took a private tour with Giorgos Samoilis with our young adult children and friends. It was a fantastic journey back to civilisations before. Our driver, made this trip extra special and enjoyable. He was adaptable to the group wishes, he maximised our trip by pinpointing and stopping at the most important places. Although Giorgos was not a tour guide he had a wealth of stories about history and places we were passing through. Sights of Athens company is very lucky to have an excellent driver like this in their team.
Our driver George was awesome. He was very patient and had great advice on what to see / do. The trip itself is well worth it for the day - the photos don't do it justice.
We did first the hop-on hop-off bus tour through athens, which was OK (nothing special, just nice to sit down and be driven through a beautifull city). Then we did the private tour with Georgos as our guide. It was a suberb day. He told a lot, was very patient, good music taste. We saw the most impressive things. Just a perfect day.
We had our tour booked on December 26 when most of the archeological sites around Athens are closed. When life gave our trip lemons, our driver George (Giorgos Samoilis) made lemonade🙂. Booking with Sights of Athens at GetYourGuide.com at the last minute was easy. Anastasia proactively reached out about the challenges on that date for entry into the archeological sites like Mycenae and Epidaurus and offered alternate suggestions. In a way this did allow us to cover a lot of ground since we did not need as much time at each location. Our day started with a visit to Corinth canal and see where Peloponnese is separated from the mainland. George then took us to look at some sites at ancient Corinth(nice little tourist town) where being outside the fence was enough for a quick view of the area around temple of Apollo. No crowds on that day. Onward to Mycenaean ruins where we could see the settlement on the hill. Nafplio is truly a great little town, fantastic views from the castle. Enjoyed a walk through the main square and the promenade. Took a quick train tour through Nafplio and enjoyed delicious dessert and coffee. Since we had time on hand, George managed to take us to a beach next to Nafplio - (amazing view on that drive) and the Epidaurus site for a quick view of the area(it was so peaceful, could hear the birds around)... that entire area had a calming therapeutic feel among those trees between the mountains. Finally we drove back to Athens through another road with spectacular views of the Saronic gulf on the other Isthmia side. We made a few stops along the way for pictures - views were amazing, winding roads with mountains to the left and the ocean to the right. George did not make us feel rushed anywhere. He added in great tips like the train ride in Nafplio. He is great company, we chatted about many things. He told us some stories about their rich ancient history(even if he is not a formal tour guide - you will need to pay someone specialized extra for that kind of service) and we chatted about more contemporary matters along the way. He is a great example of kind and helpful people of Greece who are resilient and positive through their experiences. Thank you to him for making our trip memorable and going the extra mile to get to some extra sights to make up for the attractions being closed. The drive and the views of the Peloponnese made up for it.
Our family of three teens and two adults hired Paulos as our private driver to take us to Epidaurus, with two stops along the way. We traveled in a clean and roomy van. This day trip was one of the highlights of our 12-day visit to Greece. Paulus was professional and courteous, and he went out of his way to make the trip easy and comfortable. For example, we wanted to eat at a particular restaurant in Nafplion (adorable town) for lunch that we’d read had good vegetarian options. (We have 3 vegetarians amongst us.) He wasn’t familiar with this restaurant, but he pulled over on a side street and went racing down the street asking for directions to this restaurant from various Greeks. Don’t think we could’ve found the restaurant on our own because it was on a little side street down a long charming pedestrian-only road. In the morning, when we were all tired and quiet (I actually slept for the first hour), he was considerate and quiet. By the afternoon, when we were all awake and alert again, he was wonderful to talk to and I learned a lot about Greece’s history and current challenges. He was an excellent driver and made the trip enjoyable and comfortable. It is more expensive to hire a private driver than to go on a large group bus, I realize, but if you can afford to hire a private driver it is so worth it! We could move st our own speed and stay longer at certain stops if we wanted to. Epidaurus was fantastic and I’ve already mentioned how much I enjoyed Nafplion. Thank you Paulus!
Very nice day, top driver. Small flat on the entrance fee for archaeological sites 20€/person!
The bus arrived on time and the whole trip went as advertised. The guide had a real sense of contact and took the time to explain the course. At every step he gave us many details. He explained us well the use of audio guide and helped those who had a little trouble. He took everyone’s whatsapp by giving his to keep in touch with everyone. In short, the organization was perfect. Regarding the visits, they were breathtaking! The sights are really worth the trip and bus time.
Top excursion, very happy to have booked it. The visits went well and the guide gave us interesting information, very friendly. Visual guide on tablet is a real plus to better understand what we see in the current state.
The views are beautiful, far beyond postcards. In addition, the company's staff is very friendly, professional and attentive.
Essential places, full of history. Huge beauty. Vasilis' management was incredible; He speaks perfect Spanish.
