Spending half day at Ancient Corinth was a special and splendid tour we had this September when being in Greece, without forgetting the wonderful surprise of visiting the Acrocrinth site. 5 stars to our guide Panos for his knowledge and his energy during the whole trip letting us enjoy and enlarge our information on Greek culture, and also 5 stars to our driver Manos who kept our journey safe with his smooth driving throughout the trip that will be kept in our memories for a long time for sure. Good luck guys.

Itinerary
Embrark in our aircondironed modern bus from 4 central meeting points and travel for to the area of Peloponnese. One hour drive away from Athens, in the area of Peloponnese you will be able to find the famous Corinth Canal. The Corinth Canal is a canal that connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, thus effectively making the former peninsula an island. The canal elevated Piraeus’ status as a major Mediterranean port . A project that spanned many centuries, it was conceived by a ruler of Ancient Corinth, begun by Roman emperor Nero, and completed in the 19th century by the French. Cut through solid rock, the canal is more than 6km long and 23m wide, its vertical sides rising 90m above the water. We stop at the Canal for 45 min. Near the canal there are options for refeshments ,snacks and public toilets.
Then we head to Ancient Corith, a very important city the ancient & roman times. (30 min ride). Renowned for its wealth and architecture, Corinth was the site of Greece’s final stand against Rome. After the defeat, the Romans levelled the city, then rebuilt it as a Roman settlement with theatres, a forum and imperial temples. Only the ancient Temple of Apollo was spared. Corinth was home to the famous Jason of the Argonauts, stealer of the Golden Fleece, Pausanias, Roman traveller, and St Paul, who taught the gospel of Christ here. Follow their footsteps & relive the past with our Virtual Reality application that you will use in the Arhaelogical Site while listening to the fascinating history with our Audioguide. The museum of the Site is also a must to visit. We will stay in Ancient Corinth for 3 hours. There is also a nearby village for quick lunch or snacks.
On our way back to Athens drive by the beautiful coastal road and we stop for photos a the ancient port of Kechries. In ancient times, Kenchreai was one of the two ports of the inland city-state of Corinth. While Kenchreai served the eastern trade routes via the Saronic Gulf, Lechaion on the Corinthian Gulf served the trade routes leading west to Italy and the rest of Europe. ( 30 min drive). We stop 10 min for photos. The we head back to Athens to disembark with comfort in any of our 4 drop off points. (1 hour drive).

Really enjoyed seeing Corinth. Our driver and guide were awesome!
Manos & Panos were our driver & tour guide - we had an excellent day - beautiful location & wonderful viewd
Before the pickup Panos called to confirm location and time. During the trip he was friendly and went out of his way to make you feel comfortable. He speaks very passable English, Spanish, and I am sure others. And, of course, Greek.
Panos was a wonderful guide. Explained everything beautiful, especially the audio guide which can be a bit confusing. Patient with clear instructions on time etc. Enough time to wander and explore at the ancient site and the Harbour was a lovely extra surprise. Manos our driver also the best! Tip: Best mixed vanilla and chocolate soft sugar cone ice cream ever for only €2 at the corner restaurant in ancient Corinth as you exit the site.
The experience was as described, though we didn’t have quite three hours in Corinth, likely due to traffic. We returned just after 4pm. I feel like the time at the canal could be cut to leave more room for the port, which was very cool. Overall it was a great tour, worth the money, and you see a lot without navigating traffic by yourself. The restaurant named Gamelos took a long time.
This was a fantastic tour. It was significantly less to have the audio tour and earbuds at ancient Corinth, and we could go at our own pace. Our tour guide kept everyone on track at each of the 4 stops, and apart from the audio at the Corinth ruins, did keep us informed about what each site was about.
Well organized and executed tour. Mikhaila is good organizer and well versed in history of Greece. Well done !
The Google pin was in the wrong spot for pick up. Wife and I stood in spot for 45 minutes. Come to find out the pick up spot was in front of our hotel. Contacted visitor and they refused to refund money for their mistake.
I would never recommend booking a trip through this company. We (my pregnant wife and I) showed up to the pick up location, which they have listed as the 4th stop, 10 minutes early. At no point did we see a bus stop, nor did any tour guide get out of any bus to ask if we were there for this specific tour. You’d think, since we are tourist and English speaking, they would go above and beyond to make sure you get to where you need to go. We ended up waiting 20 minutes to call to then be told they had already picked up people from that spot and didn’t have time to turn around. They left us, tourists, in the middle of Athens! They I tried dealing with customer service, which is absolutely lacking, and they were no help at all and had to contact multiple people just to get my refund. They offered to book us the next day but that was the day we were leaving and then tried to offer us a tour that is completely different from what we wanted. I just wanted a simple refund because of all the hassle they put us through. After letting them know I will leave a review of my experience, I received an unprofessional and snarky response by the individual I tried working with from the tour company. We ended up taking a train to ancient Corinth ourselves and getting there and had a wonderful time, no thanks to this tour. I recommend you try doing the same, it is cheaper and you get more flexibility for what you want to do while there. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! They will leave you stranded and try to keep your money.
8 hours is NOT A HALF DAY! spent hours up a mountain and on a deserted beach, vtr guide device was a mobile, impossible to view in the sun.
It was everything they claimed it would be, the guide was helpful and informative, the driver drove safely, and they kept to the schedule. Note that Athens traffic makes timing somewhat uncertain. Our tour lasted seven hours from pickup to dropoff.
Excellent day. Just enough time at the canal. Better than other trips. Great guide, small group no thieves on the bus like the other two tours we did.
Nice tour, but a bit too long - planned to be there for 6 hours, but it took more than 8 which might cause some issues in case of other plans (luckily it did not affect us). The canal, actually, is not the most impressive thing, as the Corinth city is more impressive and the castle ruins at the top of the mountain are more impressive. Would suggest to have more time to check them and not visit the beach/ancient port site as it was not that impressive.
Tour leader did NOT announce Parliament stop. So I stayed on the bus. Could not get a taxi where I was left by driver who refused to take me back to Parliament stop. A huge problem for an 83 year old woman traveling alone. A disaster after spending. 3+ hours in traffic getting back to Athens.
This is an amazing site! The tour ran like clockwork. The special bonus to the acrocirinth was fantastic!
We have spent beautiful time on the trip. Perfect pick-up. The bus comfortably brought us to the places worth to see, we did have reasonable time to spend on each place. We were absolutely happy with value for money. Thank you!
It was a great trip but very tight on seating. Tall and larger may have issue. The driver was very friendly but not a tour guide. The vr is very glitchy at best. What did work was seeing a VR view at bema.
Great trip with knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed all the stops, with plenty of time to explore. Very budget-friendly also!
We wanted to see the Corinth of the Bible. This we did on this trip. However, the VR guide was glitchy and did not work well for everyone. Also, our "tour guide" had little to say and was more like a ticket taker, she did little talking on the bus and was very poor. But the trip to the Acrocorinth and good, as was the ttime to Cenchrea.
Alexandria and our driver were excellent. Alexandria was an amazing tour guide giving wonderful commentary as we travelled from locations.
Christopher was our tour guide. He was very friendly and organized. Bus was clean and driver was good Pickup was on time and the instructions were very clear. The view of Corinth canal was stunning but the archaeological site was just average especially after the Acropolis visit. Just the sight of the Corinth canal is already worth the trip. Excellent tour!!
Vasilis is an excellent guide - informative and engaging. Nicely paced and worth the visit.
Tour went smoothly. Corinth Canal just a short stop. The tour at Ancient Corinth, we were given a smart phone with earpiece for self-guided. The tour guide did not follow us. The audio guide was difficult to use. In the end we didn't use it. Entrance fee of €15 per person not included for Ancient Corinth. The tour was not half day but ended at 4:30pm. Overall, we enjoyed the tour.
Our guide Stephan was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. The sights were amazing, the time of stay for each location was perfect.
Enjoyable and interesting tour with knowledgeable guide, who put some flesh on the bones on Greece's complex history. Would definitely recommend.
All was okey. Nothing surprised. Just normal planed tour. It seems like tour guide, despite she was so nice and cute, she was like exhausted because of traveling at the same location maybe billion times)) 😁 and telling same stories. But it was fine. 😁 understandable Otherwise it was safe trip anyway what is most important
Great trip. The van came on time in the meeting spot and also there is an employer waiting at omonia (one of the meeting point) prior to the van arrived to make sure we are already there. The trip itself is good with audio guide and video illustration of what the sites looked like originally (before became ruin).
Corinth We visited the Ancient Corinth city as part of a half-day tour. This half day took 8 hours with transportation on each end. The Ancient Corinth city was th main part of the tour but there were three “side” trips that were short but also interesting. Ancient Corinth was a marvel. To understand how those massive rock structures were built almost 3000 years ago would in itself be interesting. This antiquity has bee a excavation project occurring over decades. There is also a nice museum at this location. For someone educated in Greek history, this tour wold be even more delightful. For those not, still very nice. The side trip to the canal was uninspiring until one understands the geography of this part of Greece. Then, a 7 km canal makes sense compared to the journey by sea which is more than 100 time farther — 650 to 750 km according to ChatGPT. The side trip the castle was amazing. This castle, really only a fort for protecting against invaders, is built on a steep mountain. The invades could never conquer the fort by force. However, if they waited long enough, the people inside the fort would run out of food and eventually surrender. The small port was nearly invisible as its destruction was nearly complete. Only the panels describing the port could enhance what it must have looked like. So, our overall impression of the tour was very positive even though we are not knowledgeable about Greek history.
Vasilis ang Yorgos are great! Very professional, available, helpful and you can see that they enjoy what they do.
Really enjoyed this trip and good value for money. Our guide (Stephanos) was knowledgable and helpful, the driver drove calmly and safely and we found the sites very interesting. It was great to stop at Cenchrae as well as the bigger sites and have time to look at the old port. Would highly recommend!
Excellent well paced itinerary that combined four diversified destinations. The background knowledge provided by Dido, our guide, was just right. She also allowed well deserved quiet time
Really well organised and comprehensive trip and excellent value. Plenty of time to explore the ruins of Corinth plus the canal, spectacular castle ruins and the old port, The guide was super helpful and knowledgeable.
Nice to explore Corinth on your own but the audio is worthless…better to just read the signs. Guide was pleasant and informative!
A lovely day spent in the Corinth region. 4 stops in all made the day interesting and whilst it is called a half day trip we left at 8.15 am and got back at 4.30 pm. Dido our guide was lovely , full of knowledge and very interesting throughout. We don’t get to ancient Corinth until about 11.30 and decided to get something to eat first which worked out great as the restaurants were empty so very quick service. This gave us longer to look round the site and of course a lot of the visitors by this time were going for lunch so made the site a bit quieter. A quick visit to the castle overlooking Corinth was interesting but not enough time to go in however we went to visit a beach where the ancient harbour was. Whilst this was interesting, personally I would have preferred more time at the castle. A thoroughly enjoyable day well worth doing. easy pick up and good communication from the tour company throughout.
It was easy - took a bus to our destination had plenty of time to see all the ruins and had a nice lunch too
Absolutely fantastic tour guide, his knowledge of history is incredible. Went above and beyond to answer any questions even outside Attand and safe driver! All the stops were amazing and hub
Well planned stops and the archeological area in old Korinth was really well worth seeing. It gave me vivid images of the old roman settlement. And the canal! super cool.
Angela was wonderful. Incredibly patient, quick to communicate and knowledgeable of the areas... And always ensuring that no one is left behind (despite how late a few passengers can be arriving back to the bus). As for the stops, I wish that we had spent less time at Ancient Corinth site and more time at the Aphrodite Temple site with gorgeous views. That said, my family and I enjoyed the whole experience. A nice getaway from the city.
Great tour, Angela was very informative and kind with the group. We had a great time. We started at 8:15-5pm, we got lot more than expected.
Great experience for the money! Trip was almost seven hours. We stopped in four places. The highlight of the tour was when we visited the acrocorinth castle. We walked all the way to the top! Amazing views. Not for everyone!
We enjoyed the tour of the Corinth Canal and the other locations we visited, especially the Acrocorinth but we didn’t stay long because of the rain. Our guide was very friendly, avery nice experience.I hope we will come back.Thank you
Stefanos delivered a world class tour today! I could not have asked for a better experience. He is a wealth of knowledge and very personable. I very much enjoyed the tour today and when I come back to Greece next year, I will look for tours that Stefanos Guides! Each of the stops had perfect timing. Stefano seems to know worldwide information that I found very interesting in such a young man. We had phones with earbuds.to deliver maps and information for the points in ancient Corinth. The phones worked perfectly. I am very happy with my experience and I feel that it was of great value both financially and culturally. Don't pass up the opportunity for this tour! Our driver was very pleasant and personable. In fact, he's one of the best of my experiences in Greece! You can't go wrong with these two!
Very nice tour guide and comfortable bus transportation to Corinth. We struggled with the audio tour because the unit was too sensitive and kept shutting off or changing whenever it was touched. Surprise visit to Acrocorinth was nice, but we were disappointed to not have enough time to get to the top to see all of the views.
Stefan, the guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. He was very concerned about everyone following the rules. I was disappointed that the devices for the audio tour malfunctioned. It was overall a great experience .
Our experience matched what was described. Overall a great tour - we loved the half-day timing and the chance to see different things. Christopher, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and gave great information, but also let us discover a lot on our own which was nice. Besides Ancient Corinth (2 hours), the stops were mostly for photos with a maximum stop of 20 minutes, just as a heads up. Additionally, when we visited the Ancient Corinth site and museum, the entrance fee was 15 euros/person, and it was cash only. We were glad we went on this tour.
The VR technology was glitchy and frustrating to use. With the glare it was very hard to see anything on the screen most of the time. It detracted from the site visit. The tour guide Stefanos did well at time management and organising although his English was hard to understand at times which impacted his stories.
Very well organized! Comfortable and safe driving. Lot‘s of very good informations and explainations from our tourguide - very well done! Thanks to Eleftheria, just great!
Amazing trip, guide was so interesting and so informative all during the tour. So well worth the money. Would definitely recommend
Vasilis was such an amazing and knowledgeable host! He checked in the day before to confirm my pick up location and time. The trip itself was likewise very organized from start to finish. Vasilis was full of information, and very personable and kind. I highly recommend this tour!
