This was a last-minute decision and we are so happy we decided to book this daytrip from Athens! Our driver, Theo, was so friendly, and full of helpful information; he was a great host for us on the trip. Corinth was quite a site to see, full of Greek, Roman, and Christian history. We enjoyed our experience with the olive oil tasting and ended up purchasing a bunch of oil olive to be shipped home and we cannot wait to receive it. The day was then completed with a delicous lunch at a restaurant located literally on the beach - we ate at a table that was 2 feet from the sea! Do yourself a favor and book this trip for yourself!!

Itinerary
The Corinth Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. The canal was dug through the isthmus at sea level and has no locks. It is 6.4 kilometres (4 mi) in length and only 21.4 metres (70 ft) wide at its base, making it impassable for many modern ships. From high up, you can enjoy the best view of Corinth's isthmus and admire the steep limestone walls while you observe the vessels below you navigate their way through the canal.
Corinth was a city-state on the Isthmus of Corinth, the narrow stretch of land that joins the Peloponnese to the mainland of Greece, roughly halfway between Athens and Sparta. The modern city of Corinth is located approximately 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) northeast of the ancient ruins. For Christians, Corinth is well known from the two letters of Saint Paul in the New Testament, First and Second Corinthians. Corinth is also mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles as part of Paul the Apostle's missionary travels. In addition, the second book of Pausanias' Description of Greece is devoted to Corinth. Ancient Corinth was one of the largest and most important cities of Greece, with a population of 90,000 in 400 BC. The Romans demolished Corinth in 146 BC, built a new city in its place in 44 BC, and later made it the provincial capital of Greece.
Ancient Corinth is dominated by the hill of Acrocorinth, the oldest and largest castle in southern Greece. Acrocorinth was continuously occupied from archaic times to the early 19th century. With its secure water supply, Acrocorinth's fortress was repeatedly used as a last line of defense in southern Greece because it commanded the Isthmus of Corinth, repelling foes from entry by land into the Peloponnese peninsula. Visit the ruins and take great photos of the Peloponnesian landscape.
Visit one of the oldest olive oil mills (1932). Four generations of family tradition in extra virgin olive oil production is unveiled in front of your eyes! Walk around our old olive groves, where the first olive tree of the family was planted by our great grandfather. Step into ancestors’ paths, on the ancient Solygeia soils where the sacred olive tree has survived through the centuries! Enjoy the spectacular view of the Saronic gulf and the surrounding hills and admire the natural beauty of this region! Have a guided tour to the facilities of the olive oil mill and taste different extra virgin olive oils through an interactive olive oil seminar full of secrets. There is also a virtual reality video presentation. Wearing the virtual reality mask you will have the opportunity to live an unforgettable experience watching a video with all the stages of cultivation, production & bottling of extra virgin olive oil.

It was nice to get out of the city for a day and see ancient Corinth where Paul preached in biblical times. Corinth was meaningful and memorable. The olive farm was great as it's so Greece! Our driver/guide Harry was phenomenal!
Our trip was fantastic. Our driver Harry was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He made us feel like family, and we enjoyed hearing all about Greek culture. We had a great time throughout our day and got plenty of time at each stop. This tour was the perfect combination of activities. The private tour was great for the two of us. Very relaxing environment! I highly recommend booking this tour!
George was great! Wonderful conversation and went to everyplace we wanted to see :)
The Corinth + Olive Oil Tasting tour was a real treat. The ride out to Corinth was relaxing and it was really neat to see some smaller towns outside of Athens. The olive oil farm and tour was the real star. It felt like a boutique experience and the local olive oil was delicious. Great experience away from busy Athens.
Anthony was an excellent driver and guide. He gave a lot of great information about the region. The olive oil tasting was excellent and the optional lunch by the sea was an amazing surprise. Highly recommend this tour.

The ruins at Corinth were fascinating and it was fun to see an up and running olive oil business. Our driver went above and beyond to show us around and point out sites.
This tour was simply amazing! The driver was very knowledgeable and opened to answering any of our questions. We had plenty of time to explore the Corinthe canal and old Corinthe. And to top it off we had a great experience learning about the olive oil making process and learnt about olive oil tasting.
Wonderful day! Our driver and guide were great. I would suggest a little more time at Corinth acropolis. And a little less time at Corinth ruins.
We really loved this tour and having George as our guide! We learned so much and had an amazing time. Every part of it was great and we couldn’t recommend it enough!
We were very grateful Georgios was our guide yesterday. He made an effort to engage with us, and share local history with us. In addition to the information we learned from our olive tour, Giorgos had much to share as well. What has not been mentioned on reviews is that this region around Markelos Olive Grove is breathtakingly beautiful.
Very scenic and majestic views of the Greek landscape. The real gem of this tour is the olive oil tasting which is especially eye-opening and enlightening. You will never taste olive oil in the same way again (I mean this in a good way). The driver Anthony was very friendly, knowledgeable and conversable! Excellent trip and well worth it.

We enjoyed seeing the Corinth canal and the ancient ruins of Corinth. The olive farm tour and tasting was fabulous and the driver arranged everything and kept us on a perfect timely schedule. Our driver was local and knowledgeable and answered all our questions about Greece and traveling etc. He took us to a nice restaurant for lunch and returned us to our hotel. Wonderful experience!
