Full Day Delphi Private Tour

Ted is a fantastic tour guide! He arrived on time to pick us up from our Airbnb with complimentary snacks and postcards with photos he's personally taken around Greece. (He's a fantastic photographer, too - be sure to ask him to take photos of your visit!) Our itinerary: the Hosios Loukas monastery; Delphi; lunch in Arachova. The drives were very pleasant: the van was comfortable and Ted could converse about not only ancient Greek history but also about modern-day Greece/current events (which was welcome since tourists tend to only get "history lessons"). Ted was kind and professional; we highly recommend Athens Experiences!

We took the day tour to Delphi and it was perfect. Our driver Ted was extremely courteous, very knowledgeable of history and culture and he made iit very enjoyable by customizing our stops according to our needs. We had a genuinely wonderful time on our trip to Delphi with Ted! He is super knowledgeable and we learned a lot, but he's also friendly and funny and made us feel totally welcomed. We had such a blast on our tour of Delphi that we squeezed in a second tour the next morning before catching our flight. The second tour Ted took us on was around the water front areas. We saw the old airport and planes, stopped at Lake Vouliagmeni, and went all along the water to Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon. We loved every minute of it! Now we're just daydreaming about our next trip back :)

Thanks to Ted, we had an amazing time visiting Delphi. Private tour is definitely the way to go as we were able to take our time to see what we wanted. The views were amazing but be prepared to walk up up the hill and back down again. We had plenty of time to take as many photos and take in the sights. On ride back to Athens, we were able to get an incredible view of the nearby town as well as visit a beautiful monastery. The drive to Delphi was a couple hours from Athens but since Ted was so friendly and knowledgeable, the ride was very comfortable and not the least bit awkward. Ted confirmed our hotel pickup and time a few days prior to our trip and had arrived a few minutes early that morning. So we didn't feel anxious about getting picked up or not. We appreciated Ted so much we asked him to take us to the airport on our last day in Athens!

We had a wonderful day on the Delphi tour. Andreas our tour guide was great! Our day started off when he picked us up from the hotel, then we went to the Delphi archeological site and museum, and then the small town of Delphi. Andreas stopped at Arachova and let us out to go eat and explore the town. He was a great tour guide and made 2 in a half hours go by so fast. For this tour it was private and most people would think it's expensive but it is totally worth it and I highly recommend it. We were comfortable in the van, we were able to talk to our tour guide, and he even provided us with water!

Ted was absolutely wonderful! He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and just a pleasure to spend our time with. We enjoyed chatting and getting to know him throughout the day. Couldn't recommend him more highly!

We had a wonderful time with our guide, Ted. He shared a lot about the history and recent culture of Greece on the way up from Athens and back. The van is very comfortable. The stop at the monastery was beautiful. In retrospect, we could have used more time there. Ted found us a great lunch spot just north of the ruins area, with an amazing mountainside view. Delphi itself was fascinating. The accompanying museum is informative. Be prepared for some significant uphill hiking. Also bring plenty of sunscreen and water if the weather is warm and/or sunny because there is very little shade at the site.

Ted was very nice and prompt. The trip to Delphi was comfortable and he even added a stop at a Monastery from the 11th century. The tour at Delphi was self guided and once complete Ted was there to take us back to Athens.

Cannot recommend Ted enough. A very personable and knowledgeable guide. If you’d like a real insight into the history Greece,…. laurels, warts and all,…. this is your guy! Ted goes out of his way to make this a very individual experience for you, taken at your own pace. I would never go on a tour bus ever again. He was so good we booked him fir another trip to The Temple of Poseidon the next day (a must see). He avoids tourist traps and ensures you get a genuine experience, as only a local can show you. Full credit to you Ted - we wish you all the best.

Having the freedom to enjoy the site and museum in our own time and not rushed around by someone else's timetable.

Ted showed us a wonderful time! He’s an inspired professional who was eager to answer our questions about ancient history, Byzantine monasteries, modern Greek rap, olive oil production, his own experience in the tourism industry, and several other topics. He made great recommendations for how to spend the half-day trip we booked up to Delphi, showed us around a monastery with quite knowledgeable commentary, and was generally very eager to share his love of the countryside and of what he does. Overall top-notch experience and I suspect he will provide many more!

Went on a one day tour to Delphi and had a great day. Ted was a good driver, the van was very clean, and he was very accommodating and friendly. Delphi is an amazing site. We also stopped for lunch in picturesque Arachova and visited a monastery. Overall had a really positive experience.

It was an amazing day. Our driver Ted was so nice, when our other trips got cancelled he gave us an alternative trips to diffrent places, lot cheaper aswell.

The trip to Delphi was truly amazing, the scenery and the pictures we saw were so beautiful and unique! It was the perfect one-day getaway from Athens. But the true difference to our day was Ted!!! He is such a professional, but also a true example of greek hospitality! We can't wait to come back to Greece soon and do another tour with Ted!

It was lovely to drive through the country side and get to see this mountainous terrain of Greece. Delphi is built on an amazing location offering unique views. Ted was very accommodating and the car was nice and comfortable for the whole family.

Ted was a fantastic person to hang out with. He was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, patient, prompt, on-time, and always had great tips to make the most out of time. Lunch was at a family owned eatery and the visit to the monastery was a plus! We'll definitely see Delphi with Ted again when we revisit Athens in the near future.

I had an excellent tour of Delphi and I loved the visit to Hosios Loukas. Our tour guide was informative and helpful as he drove us around, and we were able to easily return to the cruise ship in time prior to departure. Great day in Greece!

Every part of this tour was worthwhile! We really enjoyed our time in Arachova. The meal we ate in town felt like it was home-cooked Greek good. Ted went beyond with his customer service. He was very kind with our 9-year old daughter.

Amazing experience. It’s a two hour ride out and back, but the van is very nice and Ted is very knowledgeable. It’s a full day to see the ruins of Delphi and the small ski town nearby. We had a blast, great trip if you are in Athens for a couple days.

Ted, the tour guide and driver was excellent with history (Athensexperiences.com). It was a very enjoyable tour for family of 6. We stopped at Arachova village & had lunch there. It is a nice small town with a great view. Delphi archaeological site & museum was superb as well. We also stopped at a Byzantine monastry, 1000 yr old, which was superb.

We spent the day with Ted, the best tour guide in Greece! He not only drove us there and back, but was part of our day with conversation and education. You can do many tours, but few will be as thoughtfully planned out as this one, plus you get the added benefit of asking all of the questions you've had since arriving in Greece (e.g. Why do the Greeks call themselves Hellas? Why are the mountain towns built on the slopes and not on the flat areas?) Ted can answer them all. If we had known he did airport transfers, you can be sure we would have booked that with him as well. Next time!

It's a bit of a bus ride, but the end result makes it all worthwhile. The site is wonderful. Our guide, who was an educated and trained archeologist, provided a series of great briefings on the way to the site and was a true expert guide at Delphi. We optioned for this tour instead of Olympia. You can do both, of course.

Ok so I am more of a Caribbean next to the ocean type vacationer but I really wanted some culture and adventures besides hangovers by the pool. Ted picked us up early kept us comfortable in his new tour van. He had lots of water and info. He new alot about alot and spoke perfect english so we could understand. Go Ted go.
