Great itinerary, excellently guided. The tour was just over 10 hours, so spending a little more time in both locales, while desireable, was not possinle. We lunched on our own, selecting from among many convenient options.

Itinerary
Depart from our terminal for one day tour via the coastal National highway for the Corinth canal (short stop).
After the Corinth Canal, you enter the region of Argolis, land of Homer’s Golden Mycenae, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dating back to the second century B.C., Mycenae was one of the major centers of Greek civilization and a military stronghold which dominated much of southern Greece . Visit the archaeological site, home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. You will see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion’s Gate, the Royal Tombs, including Agamemnon Clytemnestra's, and the Treasury of Atreus, a magnificent 14th-century B.C. structure. In Mycenae you will have the chance for an optional stop in a pottery factory.
Then, proceed to Nafplio the first capital of modern Greece, a town steeped in history and charm. Enjoy a guided walking tour through the old town and then have free time to stroll through the town at your own pace, exploring its picturesque streets, elegant neoclassical buildings, and vibrant squares. Take in the views of Bourtzi, the iconic fortified islet in the port, before having lunch at a traditional restaurant.
Continue to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre. The UNESCO’S world heritage listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo's son Asklepios, the healer and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world. Epidaurus is probably most famous for its theatre, one of the best preserved classical Greek buildings and still used today due to its amazing acoustics. Alternatively, you can take a peaceful stroll through the small forest next to the theater or unwind with a coffee or tea, enjoying the sounds of nature. The day tour returns to Athens in the late afternoon.

Reviews
Great tour with an excellent guide who gave great insights into the various archaeological sites. Also the time spent at the nafplion town was excellent
Perfect way to explore the legend. The overall trip was very comfortable. Despite the rain we had a good experience of all sites. Good organization, insightful guide.
The UNESCO sites were very good and our tour guide, Elena, was excellent—extremely knowledgeable about all the pertinent historical information. The only negative was that Viator advertised it as “everything included” with lunch. But one thing that was not included was entrance fee to Epidaurus Theater. It is in the details of what’s NOT included, but unfortunately I made the wrong assumption. Also there was an indication that hotel pickup could be arranged 3 days prior but when I called, that was not an option. Be sure to read the complete description so there are no surprises. Key Tours who handled the tour was a quality vendor.
Long day. Listening devices don’t always work well. Sights are amazing. Bring water and wear strong walking shoes.
Went to all the places it described. Had enough time to visit the areas. Guide was knowledgeable about the area.
We booked this tour directly with the Keytours office in Athens. The receptionist was friendly and professional. We felt that booking in person offered more clarity on what we were getting compared to booking online, as this particular tour had some optional choices. One recommendation is that you can look up the info and price of the tours online, then book in the office and see if they will honor the online price as it is often a bit cheaper online. If you would like a guided tour, definitely check with the office to confirm the availability of the English or other languages guides on the days you are looking for. The tour itself was great and well worth the time and money. Our guide Antonia and driver (sorry can’t recall his name) took great care of us. Antonia was knowledgeable and planned everything well that the day flowed very smoothly despite the many places we needed to visit. Overall, a very pleasant experience and we are happy that we chose keytours. 10/10!
Learn a lot about the history of Mycenae and saw some incredible locations including a small town at the end
Comfortable ride, wonderful sights, and tour guide was accommodating.
One hour and twenty minutes is not enough time for each of the three stops. You will find yourself racing through or skipping the museum, speeding through the archeological sites and only having a quick bite in Nafplio after the short guided tour. Too many people to properly hear the live guide in Nafplio. Audioguide is GPS controlled, so skips to the next segment before finishing, as you hurry along the archeological sites without time to read the info boards because you want to allow time to stop at the WC on your walk back to the bus. WiFi on the bus did not work well. Only do a 10 hour tour if you have no other option. After taking this tour, we decided not to take a Hydra tour, rather to take a public bus and spend a night in Hydra.
This was my second trip to Epidauros and Mycenae and first to Nafplio. Three of us went, with lunch in Nafplio included for an extra fee. Mycenae and Epidaurus remain spectacular locations and well worth a visit (especially the former). Some good historical commentary on the coach beforehand helped to set the scene and explain their significance. The content was well-judged. My biggest negative for the site visits, however, was the lack of time at Mycenae - there wasn't enough time to see the Treasury, hill site and museum, so we missed out on the last one. Even just 15 minutes would've sufficed. I think this was a poor miscalculation by the tour company, especially as time could've been shaven off the less diverse Epidaurus visit later on and as Mycenae has a pretty small museum. Nafplio was a very pretty town, and I'd certainly spend more time there. However, many of those who paid for lunch to be included were dissatisfied with the menu, given the cost of the lunch option. Starter was a combo of Greek salad, courgette fritters and bread (no oil or butter). The main course - either underfed sardines in oil and lemon, a plate of giant beans or decent enough meatballs and white rice. A school dinner-sized portion of pretty decent orange cake was the only option for dessert. Drink was a bottle of water between two or three. Lunch was basic in quality, choice and presentation - all pretty much of school dinner quality, not restaurant standard. The restaurant menu showed it certainly had more substantial dishes it could've offered, but many diners in our party felt the tour company was really taking the mickey with what they charged for such a poor lunch option. Overall, great places to visit and a good, helpful tour guide, but the tour company really should improve the lunch standard, given what is charged in particular.
Great tour. Friendly and energetic tour host and great driver. So much to see at these historic sites
The tour was really nice. We've got aa lot of fun. It was really interesting. The only downside was the driver who was too aggresive on the road and it made it uncomfortable.
It was an all day tour experience lead by our knowledgeable guide Elena of Key Tours who made it a memorable excursion.
The places visited were all interesting, but enjoyably different. Our guide was very good. She was personable, knowledgeable, and imparted information in absorbable quantities. Driver was good too.
Three great places to visit. Elena was a very good guide, providing clear and interesting information.
Our guide, Elleana, did a wonderful job giving us detailed and interesting information about each of our stops as well as describing what we were seeing along the way on our bus trip. The sites we saw were amazing and we enjoyed learning more about ancient history. It was a long day, but well worth it!
The organisation of the tour is perfect ( all the practical stuff) and beautiful Helena was good. But I hoped for a guided tour at sites. We have got a lot of information while driving and was on our own at the sites. That is why I couldn’t appreciate Mycenae. It just doesn’t work that way. So the guided tour is not guided, but organized.
Our our guide was excellent! A trained archaeologist brought many of the sites we visited to life! She was very interactive with the guest patiently answering every question posed.
Fun trip and a good way to spend the morning and afternoon, the lunch that was provided was very tasty. The guide Giota is very kind and is a specialist in the field of history especially in the places we visited. I would recommend this trip.
The tour guide can't stop talking to save his life. Every little detail of the trip's logistics is explained in extreme detail and repeated several times to exhaustion. It doesn't help that the speaker in the bus is also extremely loud.
Excellent tour. Very well organised. The guide was so good and so informative This is a great tour outside of Athens. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Such a great day tour of ancient and modern Greece! Epidaurus and Mycenae are amazing! Corinth is interesting and Nafplion is quaint and has lots of dining and shopping options available. Our guide Katerina was very knowledgeable, efficient, and funny! Although just a day tour, we covered a lot of ground and many centuries!
This was an extraordinary experience to repeat. Unforgettable views and a great places. Helena was very kind and professional., she was happy to help and guide us. The drive was very responsible and punctual.
Good experience. Irini K is very professional and serious ( maybe too serious 😀) guide. She gave a lot of info and storys. John, the driver excellent.
Great tour, very well organized and Keytours team was spot on with directions. Dimitri our guide was very informative and provided excellent history and context of the sites.
This is the best way to see Mycenae, Nafplio, and Epidavros in one day. Includes stop at Corinth Canal. Excellent tour guide!
Great trip with Marianna from Keytours. The day is well paced with an imformative guide with lots to see in one trip. Well worth it.
Full day of adventure, history and mythology. Lots of interesting stops to stretch our Athens visit. Our guide, George, was lighthearted and well educated about everything Greek! Fun informative story telling throughout the day!. We enjoyed everything and highly recommend.
I really enjoyed this tour, but I felt it was all very rushed at times. The stop at Mykines , I wasn't aware it was up a steep hill to get to the monastery, and I couldn't manage it (left my folding walking stick at the hotel) so I just went in the little museum (took 10 mins) and bought a slush drink, and sat alone for 45 mins waiting to get back on the coach. We stopped off at various places along the way, which were interesting (and quick visits) We then went to an archelogy site, with a stadium which was impressive, but the site, had no proper sign posts and you couldn't easily find your way around. We had been given an audio guide, but I was expecting the tour guide to take us around, but it was just information about each place we visited. Again not enough time to do at a leisurely pace. Then the final place was Nafplion. It was beautiful, but again an hour and a half wasn't long enough. I wandered around the shops (some interesting ones) and grabbed a quick sandwich, and then back on the coach. I would have liked longer in each destination, to not to be rushing around, and to take each place in at a good pace.
Long day but really enjoyable! Maria was an excellent guide - very knowledgable about Mycenae. Kept us on track - lovely guided tour of Nafplion & yummy lunch. Highly recommend this tour.
Tour Guide Kiki took us on a very interesting tour of Mycenae, Nafplion and Epidaurus with a stop off at the incredible Corinth Canal. Throughout the day Kiki provided excellent commentary on every site and all countryside in between. We learnt so much. What a tour guide!! What a tour!! Kiki also ensured that the needs of all members of the tour were met - particularly with the sometimes steep incline to the historical site. Lunch was a little underwhelming and, on reflection, we would have taken the option without lunch.
April 2nd 2026. The guide was great! He talked to us in the bus and on the sites in details about Greece in general and the three cities, explained everything about history/politics and what we were looking at. He was perfect! For Nafplio (Nauplie), we were left on our own, but didn’t have enough time to visit any of the castles on the hill. I can’t comment on the restaurants, because I had brought my lunch. The meeting point at the end should have been an address instead of an unnamed city square, because I could not trace it on Google Maps.
Our guide was very educated about the places we went and friendly, telling us where we were going and how it was significant. Very enjoyable day trip. Highly recommended!
George was a great host, fun and informative. The sites exceeded expectations. It is a day we'll spent
Our guide Katarina was amazing! She is so knowledgeable and I learned so much throughout the day. Was taking lots of notes while also taking in the sites and locations. Great stops planned, amazing experiences. I don't have one complaint at all. It was fantastic and I highly recommend everyone experience this tour.
Seems a long day, but the stops are spread out evenly and the drive, once you get out of Athens, is a delight in itself. We had an excellent guide, George, whose English was brilliant and who mixed information and amusing anecdotes to make the trip enjoyable. The combination of sites covered a wide range of historical periods and locations and the lunch break at Napflion was terrific. One suggestion: we passed some other wonderful places (Acrocorinth, New Epidavros and St Paul's landing place for example) where a brief stop for photographs would have been appreciated, rather than trying to grab a picture out of the coach window.
We had a terrible experience in another trip organized by the same company ( Keytours - Greece, +302109233166 ) who has no serve spirit, so we canceled this trip. The last thing a traveler expects is to face unreliable and unfriendly trip organizers in an unfamiliar place. If you read carefully the comments you will find we are not the only complainers of the qualities of their trips. I was attracted by their price but I should read more carefully the comments next time before making the decision.
Awesome tour guide, great knowledge and stories. Kept big group on time. Cool sites! There is no need to buy the package with tickets into sites, they seem to upcharge. You can buy them on site for less, and you have to pay for tickets to the theater anyway. At least for us, they were not for a specific time slot like they suggest in the description of tour. There is no guided tour for Mycenae museum, though the description makes it seem that way. We had fun in Nafplio by ourselves without lunch, we got a quick bite and had a chance to walk around.
First of all, make sure you have knowledge about the historical facts as this tour is not well guided. Maybe it was the tour guide herself that lacked organization. She was nice(Katerina), however it lacked insight on meeting points and time. My husband and I were always late to get on the bus because we took our time exploring. I would suggest to take the audio guided tour rather than this one...it should not be offered in my opinion.
Cristina from Key Tours is not a good guide. She is knowledgeable but did not give enough time at the archeological sites . She also gave very little instructions on where to go inside the archeological sites . For the Mycenea it says on the schedule 1 hour and 20 min and she only gave us 55 min the other one she only gave us an hour. The tour feel rushed even though it’s closer to Athens than Meteora and when I went to Meteora with another company I felt I had all the time . Cristina needs to work on her customer service skills and overall the tour feels rushed at least with her.
Very full day that felt a bit rushed as tours usually do but you do see a lot . I had prepurchased park tickets and forgot and bought again at entrance before tour guide got to me and then unable to get a refund...perhaps the tour guide should hand them out before getting off the bus , its easy to forget when you book several tours at once in advance.
Katarina was a good guide providing information on the Corinth Canal, and Mycenae and Epidaurus archaeological sights, along the way to each site. She also gave us an informative walking tour of Nafplion where we had an hour on our own.
Katrina was an amazing guide! She was very knowledgeable and very friendly. She was considerate of the weather and was willing to omit the one part, but no one seemed to mind the rain. Highly recommend.
Bring a bottle of water There is none available on the bus. Skip the lunch in Naphlion. Buy a sandwich from a shop.
Tour guide was excellent. Coach was comfortable but usb charging points would have been useful. Stops were adequate and attractions were interesting but they were overpriced for what they offered, especially as the stops were only for an hour
Key Tours makes this easy, and our guide on the bus and for Nafplio was great. Bus has wifi to put the self guided tour on your phone. Bring ear buds. a long day, but Scenic and worth the long bus ride to and from a convenient pickup point near Hadrian's Gate.
A lovely experience. There is much to see and time is sufficient, so everything can be seen. Be mindful to return to the bus on schedule, at each sightseeing stop.
This is a combination tour of 4 places, starting with Corinth canal and then driving down city and view of Corinth acropolis at distance. Then Mycenae. Third location is a beautiful Venetian town of Nafplio and finally Epidaurus the center of healing. For me Nafplio was best, then Epidaurus. For myself, Mycenae was not so interesting but Corinth canal joining Agean and Ionian seas was very interesting.
It's a well thought out and managed day, with information provided extremely well by the leader. It's quite a long day but we'll worth it.
