This was a wonderful experience, Dennis was prompt, kind and quick. We managed to get to our locations and he gave information we wouldn’t have known otherwise. He also picked a fantastic place for lunch with a beautiful view!

Itinerary
The Leonidas Monument commemorates the battle in 480 BC in which a small band of about 300 Spartan soldiers held off a huge Persian army for three days.
Battlefield of Thermopylae is the land surface on which the famous battle was fought in 480 BC.Where the Spartans made their last stand with the body of their King Leonidas against Xerxes and his Persian army.
Thermopylae can be translated as ‘Hot Gates’, a reference to the volcanic hot springs near this Greek town. Directly opposite the monument of Leonidas of Sparta is a volcanic area with several of sulfur hot springs. According to the Ancient Greeks, these springs were believed to be a gateway to the Underworld (Hades). It is further mentioned in Ancient Greek Mythology as the place where the Greek hero Heracles washed off the poison from his legendary battle with the Hydra, thus turning the waters into hot springs.
The Temple of Apollo is the most important building in the sanctuary of Apollo at Delphi. In the centre stands the temenos, the most outstanding feature of the temple. It is famous for the oracle that resided in it, where pilgrims from all over the world would come to have their fortunes told.
The Tholos of Delphi is among the ancient structures of the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia in Delphi. It is part of the Delphi UNESCO world heritage site.
The Stadium of Delphi lies on the highest spot of the Archaeological Site of Delphi. It overlooks the sanctuary of Apollo and has a view to the Delphic landscape. It was built in the 5th century BC but it was reconstructed many times in the centuries that followed.
The ancient theatre of Delphi is situated within the Temple of the Pythian Apollo. It was built in the 4th c. BC. and its capacity is 5000 spectators.
Delphi Archaeological Museum is one the most important and popular museums of Greece. It consists of fourteen rooms and includes Charioteer of Delphi, the frieze of the Siphnian Treasury, the Sphinx of Naxos and other marvelous artifacts.
Arachova is a mountainous town and a former municipality in the western part of Boeotia. Its panoramic view is only highlighted by small uphill houses, cobbled streets and overall picturesque architecture.

Our guide Theodore was excellent. We were a little underwhelmed by Thermopoly, but Delphi was great and the ride, although long, was very nice as we really were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
We had a wonderful trip to Delhi and Thermopylae, thanks to our driver, Dennis. He was a font of information about our destinations as well as Greece in general, and he made sure everyone was comfortable and happy. We’d definitely recommend him, his company, and this tour to any visitors to Athens!
Wonderful knowledgeable guide. This was a private tour and we loved the flexibility and very engaging history discussions in the car on the way there and back. Highly recommended!
Definitely a must-book! Greece is so beautiful and has so much history to see, and this helped us put two days worth of touring the country into one without feeling rushed. We had Dimitris as our guide and he was fantastic: great conversation and as a local knew all the history of Thermopylae and Delphi and many other areas along the way. It was amazing to walk the same steps that many others did thousands of years ago and see the monuments built to honor these names like Apollo and King Leonidas that I had heard about from childhood. We even scheduled the day before (definitely not due to my lack of planning) and were contacted by the agency promptly and on the road the next morning at 8 AM. If you're trying to choose between spending a day in Thermopylae or Delphi, or you were trying to find a great way to spend a day in Greece without the hassle of finding transportation to and from, while still getting the same tour experience that you would at the Acropolis, look no further!
Stelios was a fantastic driver and guide. Kind, funny, and shared lots of history and stories with us. He even booked us a reservation for lunch whike we took our Delphi tour so we didn't have to lift a finger. Definitely recommend booking with Stelios!
It was such a fun and informative trip! We got to see our two top sites for this area (Delphi and Thermopylae) and Stelios, our guide, even looked into a spot we were interested in trying to see and was able to give us information that maps couldn’t. He clearly has a passion for what he does and me and my friends were so happy to have him as our guide! He went above and beyond, and even gave us pointers and recommendations on the way back to Athens for another excursion we had planned for later in our trip, and it really made the whole thing even better.
My wife and I had a private tour of Arachova, Delphi and Thermopylae, from 7 to about 4:30. Michalis was a wonderful host, and provided a wealth of information, modern and ancient details of Athenians, the significance of Delphi, and the major historical conflicts. The car was very comfortable and clean, and Michalis was flexible, fun and very polite. He had planned out the stops to stay in front of the inevitable bus tours/lineups, and was very communicative (through WhatsApp, etc.). He planned out a lunch stop (not included) in the town of Delphi which was a spectacular location and great food. Quick stop at Thermopylae but hey there isn't much there and we didn't need to stay long - I needed to go onto the last stand hill, for my own soul's sake. He had extra details on each site in a booklet, which was all that we needed. You may want more info if you are a history major but if you aren't then I think there is sufficient info. He even gave us a quick tour of Athens downtown hotspots on our way back into town. What a great day, thank you!!
I have to say that the driver Michael was great and gave us some excellent tips during the tour, his driving was great as well as punctuality! I gave a 4 star because the itinerary is a bit too dragged out, whereas the visit to village Arachova was very picturesque, Delphi town was great and an excellent spot for lunch, I am not sure if the archeological sit was worth it. The leoniadas museum and Thermopyle visit you should do only if you are an absolute fan of the legend like me, or else there is not much to see there
This was an incredible tour! Our guide, Michalis, was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of great historical information on the sites we were visiting. The car was extremely clean and comfortable, and we had a wonderful time on this tour.
I had an absolutely wonderful tour today! My driver was Michalis who did an amazing & fantastic job, starting from the accommodation, to the narration and the driving as well! It was definitely a great experience and I am happy and very grateful that Michalis took all the time to show me around his beautiful country! Very knowledgeable and very kind! 10/10, i can only recommend it, especially if you‘re interested in ancient and modern Greek history. Thank you so much! I hope I‘ll be able to take another tour the next time around.
Our tour guide Ruslan ( and business owner) picked us up at our doorstep on time in a beautiful and clean luxury car. He drove beautifully while giving us a detailed historical background to the sites we were about to visit. Later he took us to a beautiful Greek restaurant where we had a delicious lunch before driving us home. All in all a great day out and good value for the personal detail the company offers. Thank you Ruslan
Rusin is an excellent guide for this trip. He gave us detailed information about the historical destinations and he was wonderful to talk with during the trip. And when trouble popped up about striking farmers blocking the expressway, he always found a way to get around it.
We really loved our tour with Kostas! We booked this tour with our 3 young children and we all had a great time. The drive was comfortable, the stops in Thermopylae & Delphi were amazing and the traditional Greek lunch with a beautiful view was a perfect way to end our trip. Kostas is friendly and knowledgeable and we’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore outside of Athens. Efcharisto Kostas!
We had an unforgettable experience in Delphi. I am an archeologist so this tour was one of my dreams. I am really satisfied by this tour and I highly recommend it. Our driver was very experienced and he knows everything.
From start to finish, this tour exceeded all expectations. Everything was perfectly organized, and the transfer service was exceptionally smooth and punctual. A special mention goes to our driver Rouslan , who was not only professional and courteous, but also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the journey, shared interesting insights about the area, and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The vehicle was spotless, comfortable, and well air-conditioned everything you need for a relaxed and enjoyable ride. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a seamless, stress-free experience.
Our driver -guide Ruslan Gavrilis from Colors of Greece was amazing. His phone is +30 6945 425 564. I highly recommend him.
We had a wonderful day trip to Delphi and Thermopylae. Our driver reserved lunch for us at a cliffside restaurant in Delphi prior to the tour. The food was absolutely delicious, affordable and the view was breathtaking. I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in learning the history of Delphi and the Battle of Thermopylae. The museum at Delphi was very informative, ruins were stunning. Short stop at Thermopylea and their is a 15-minute video explanation of the battle at the museum. Driving through the countryside of Greece was very beautiful, you get to see the countryside of Greece. Our driver also gave us a wonderful dinner recommendation at Psaras Tavern, which is in the staircase set of restaurants. Highly recommend this tour and Psaras Tavern.
Last day in Greece and this was an excellent way to spend it! Kostas was the perfect guide - he provided information, gave us time to enjoy the sites at a leisurely pace and made reservations at an adorable restaurant in Delphi before we turned to Athens. Highly recommend!
Awesome excursion!! Our guide, Ruslan, was amazing!! He was super knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating throughout the entire trip. The amount of history he knew was astounding and really made the day that much better. The stops in Thermopyles and Delphi were so cool to see. He makes a point to go over all the history and answers any questions you have along the way. He always made sure to tell us in detail what we would be seeing, what the significance was, and if he could not get out of the car to come with us, where exactly to go and what to do. He was so kind throughout the entirety of the ride to ask us if we wanted to stop for food, water, or coffee - making sure we were always comfortable. He also had complimentary bottles of water in his car - the day was very hot!! First stop was Thermopyles - where the Battle of 300 took place. We stopped at a museum that played a short video of the Battle before we went to see the actual grounds right down the road. Upon leaving the museum, we visited where the last battle took place. He then brought us to the hot springs that the Spartans would use after battle to heal their wounds. Super cool!! After visiting Thermopyles, he even stopped at a restaurant in Delphi for us that had the most breathtaking view and arguably the best food we had on the entire trip. It was incredible. He also stopped for us as we passed shops along the way to purchase souvenirs. His accommodations went above and beyond for us. Delphi was also amazing. Seeing the archaeological site of Delphi was awesome as there are so many ruins there to see. The hike to the top was a little strenuous in heat but totally well worth it! On the way back, we drove through a village called Arachova - where he explained in the winter, it is a very popular and thriving ski Village and a hotspot for tourists that time of year. We were able to purchase some souvenirs from the shop there as well as stopping at a convenience store where Ruslan purchased more water for us. That was so kind of him! He also took pictures of us throughout the day and even made an entire checklist of places to visit for our next trip back. Overall, we are super happy we Did this private tour as opposed to going with many other people. Ruslan made the day, very enjoyable and comfortable!!! Highly recommend!!!!
My husband and I took this tour while on our honeymoon. Our guide, Ruslan, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and super nice. His driving was also excellent. I tend to get carsick and am an anxious passenger but I was very comfortable the whole time. We will definitely contact him for future tours. We liked the private tour and being able to go at our own speed.
Great tour! Periklis was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour, all of the stops were interesting.
To stand at Thermopylae was awesome, to visit Delphi was even better. But to have a friendly person drive you around, engage you with as much or as little conversation as you’d like was perfection. George was our driver. George got us to the right places quickly and efficiently. And we got to see the countryside during the trip. This experience was worth every euro. We always felt safe, and George lined up a great place for lunch. Zero issues. And I feel like we got to see more than just Athens during our trip!
Timely pickup and very accommodating driver. Our day was made beautiful by the sunny weather and light crowds.
My partner and I had a wonderful time in Greece! The driver was excellent. He knows everything about history and he is very kind! I recommend this tour to anyone interested in history and sightseeing. 🏞️🌞
It was a really nice trip with a great driver . I recommend it . For sur we will use next time the same company .
On time and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended riding with Mr.Perikles,i will prefer him again for sure!!!!
The tour was amazing. The driver was experienced, full of knowledge of ancient Greek history. Highly recommended.
If you love history this is a must tour. To stand on the same ground as the Spartans famous battle of Thermopylae is unforgettable. To top off the tour, Delphi is one of the most beautiful ancient sites I’ve seen; well preserved, beautiful surroundings, and immense in size. Our driver Pericles brought our tour to life. His vast knowledge of the history and geography of these two areas made us feel like we were on the History Channel. Unforgettable day. We highly recommend this tour.
We recently booked this trip with my girlfriends without knowing what to expect since we only knew Delphi from history class. The tour was perfect! We started from Athens, the countryside was beautiful and the driver gave us so many information and facts about Thermopylae and Greece in general. We were having a great time, Arachova was such a cute village but when we arrived at Delphi and we saw the village and the archaeological site in person we were astonished!! It's so different seeing it from photos and visiting in person. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Delphi when traveling to Greece. The driver was very helpful about everything, how to save time buying tickets, where to stop, what not to miss and we ended up eating in a very beautiful restaurant. We returned to Athens exhausted but also fulfilled. I highly recommend this tour!!! 😎🤌
My friends and I had a great experience in greek countryside. We admired archaeological sites, monuments and other places we had visited. The driver was an excellent guide and he gave us all information we needed. Thank you very much!!!
My husband and I really enjoyed our trip to the Greek countryside. the archaeological sites we visited excited us. the guide who accompanied us was extremely informative and helped us get to know the Greek culture better.
The countryside is so beautiful and the archeological sites were impressive. Our driver was Very friendly and we felt comfortable. We made all stops and had chance to try greek traditional foods. Thank you so much for an amazing road trip!
Our guide Stelios picked us up from the hotel very punctually. On the way to Delfi (and later) he told us a lot of interesting stories about the history of Greece, the battles with the Persians and about the background of Delfi with the Oracle. That was really very entertaining and we think he could have told many more stories if we had wanted to. We filled ourselves very well. His driving style was also such that as a "passenger" you always felt safe and relaxed. About the tour: Delfi was very interesting. We followed the advice of Stelios and first visited the museum and then the archaeological site. This allows you to imagine some things better due to the exhibits and explanations in the museum in the excavation area. Whether you have to integrate thermopylae into the Tour, I think is worthy of discussion because of the long journey time. If necessary, a different combination, for example with the channel of Corinth or the like, would be more appropriate, provided that this runs out in time. Nevertheless, we really liked the tour.
Giannis is the best guiding driver out there! It made our trip super enjoyable, we talked about history and culture of our countries and the points we visited. Surely recommended, I far exceed the expectation!!!!
We had a great time, it was a fantastic experience for all of us. I have never met a more polite and professional driver. We will definitely re-elect you in the future.
