It was a good group size and the tour guide timed it perfectly so we avoided the big groups of people at Delphi. It was a wonderful trip.

A very good interesting day with a great guide,(Delphi was fascinating and Papillons’ guide around Delphi was very good. I would say the time at Thermopylae was disappointing although the time change and weather reduced our time there. I would recommend dropping,(or reducing time), at the Corycian Cave to provide more time at Thermopylae. I felt we rushed our time there,(but for the reasons mentioned earlier), especially as Thermopylae is a more pivotal moment in Hellenic history. Unlike us I would recommend speaking up to say Thermopylae is important to you,(we didn’t🤦♂️). Would highly recommend this tour.
This tour was amazing! Kostas our guide/driver was wonderful! Experienced, knowledgeable a great driver with an amazing landscape and sites to share with us, unforgettable!! Thank you Kostas!!
Kostas was very knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. We had an amazing time exploring the important historic sites of Greece.
An excellent experience all around, from collection at the door of my hotel right up to being dropped off there again. Panagiotis was very knowledgable about all of the places we went to and answered all questions anyone had. The sights themselves were amazing and well worth the long day of travelling.
Great Full day tour. Our guide, Anastatios, was knowledgeable, safe driver. I enjoyed our group of 7 people. The van was comfortable as well. The trip from Athens took about 2 hours to Delphi. We were picked up at our hotel. The highlight of the trip was Delphi. You get to spend about 1 hour in the museum, then 1 hour touring Delphi on your own. The tour was self-guided, which we liked so you can go at your own pace. The tour guide provided us with a booklet to explain the sites. We stopped at a very pretty mountain side Delphi village for a delicious lunch at o Patricio Mas. The food was very fresh and tasty. From there we went to Korikio Andro (also known as the Corycian Cave). This was interesting but the road to get there was very scary, a narrow, unpaved steep road. Once at the cave, it can be dark and slippery and a bit challenging to walk. We made a final stop at Thermopyles. My only suggestions would be: 1) more time to walk the grounds of Delphi, and omit the stop at Thermopyles. 2) people with mobility issues may face challenges with the cave and delphi due to its rocky , steep terrain.
It was a fantastic trip to three memorable locations. While it was a long day, it was well worth it. The driver was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the trip to anyone who is fit as there is a lot of walking, particularly at Delphi, but well worth it.
Our guide Costa (sp) was great, very knowledgeable and helpful. Loved stopping in Arachova, and we really enjoyed Delphi. The drive up to the cave was enjoyable, too. I'm giving this a 4 out of 5 only because I think we could have skipped Thermopyle hot springs and the monument. We were all pretty tired and ready to head back to the hotel.
"Kostas was very knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating throughout our trip. It was great to end our vacation with this memorable visit to Delphi and Thermopylae with knowledge of the great history of the Greek people. The absolute highlight of our tour was Thermopylae, where we loved visiting the hot springs and walking the historic battlefield! We couldn't have asked for a better way to finish our vacation."
nice your of the three area. Delphi was very interesting and more meaningful after visiting the museum 1st. Kostas was our guide , very knowledgeable and passionate about the history.
Our guide was great and very knowledgeable.
Really enjoyed this tour! Loved all the locations we visited. Arachova was quaint and so pretty. Delphi is just stunning and a must-see for any Greece tour. The Corycian cave was unique and showcased a different type of religious location, compared to the usual temples. And Thermopylae is just historic. Pros: - Despina was really an expert driver. It was a very very long distance to cover across mountainous regions, but she made really good time despite the rainy weather at the start. - Sufficient time (2 hours) at Delphi for a quick museum visit and walk up to the Stadium. The guide book provided also provided sufficient info to appreciate the site, with Despina sharing more info on the way there and back. - Despina was a very knowledgeable guide and shared interesting info about the history, mythology and current socio-political situation of Greece. I learnt a lot! I would have liked to engage her more on the road to learn more but wasn’t sure if it would distract her focus on the road. - Beautiful lunch stop at Delphi village, especially when the weather is warm enough. The views from the restaurant and sitting in the shaded courtyard were amazing. Some things to note: - the aircon in the bus wasn’t that strong on the way back, but you can pop the windows open. Just that the sound of the wind kinda drowns out what the guide is saying. - the off-road drive to the Corycian cave was expertly done, but you could smell the the tires/brake pads after. Would be great to get a 4x4 minibus to better handle the terrain, although Despina did amazingly with what she had. - there is a museum at Thermopylae, but it closes at 4.45pm, so there isn’t time to visit this. A bit of a shame, but it can’t really be helped because you wouldn’t want to sacrifice time at Delphi either.
Very good and interesting tour. The museum at Delphi was amazing. There are a lot of steps and climbing at both Delphi and the caves. The stairs to the caves in particular were not easy with no handrails. Kostas was our driver and guide and he was fantastic. He had a lot of knowledge about all the sites, was friendly and very helpful to those that needed some assistance. He provided water and other drinks to everyone and made it a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant he took us to for lunch was delicious. This was one of our best tours and we would highly recommend it to others.
This was a tremendous tour for history and archaeology enthusiasts. Our driver was knowledgeable and helpful. She shared her experience as a Greek with us on so many levels, political, educational as well as historic. She also took us for lunch at an exceptional hillside restaurant that was one of our top three meals during 17 days in Greece.
We didn’t enjoy being squeezed in a van for that long and having no neck support. It was obvious they over booked for the size of the vehicle. The sites were lovely and the guide did his job.
The day is very long, however it was great. The town of Delphi was so pretty and the museum and the climb to the top of the ruins was good. Be prepared to do lots of steps. Then we had lunch at this very beautiful and scenic spot. The view was to die for and the meals were divine . The road to the cave was bumpy but this added to the adventure. Where Leonidus was killed was interesting too. Our guide was great, she drove the whole day and was very lovely. We would definitely recommend this trip.
The all day tour is quite a journey so be prepared. That being said the experiences are amazing and sure to leave a lasting impression. Be prepared to walk and climb plenty of stairs at Delphi. Our guide Vespina was wonderful, very knowledgeable and friendly. She took the group to a wonderful spot for lunch with a spectacular view.
Pan, our guide and driver, was excellent. The Delphi Museum was full of beautiful items. The Delphi ruins were very interesting, as was the Corycian Cave.
Pan was so wonderful!! He showed us so many interesting places. I love the small group setting because it can be planned the way you want it.
Very cultured experienced. The driver kostas helped us and guided us all the route. He was very knowledgeable
This tour was a highlight of our 13 days in Greece! Despina was very knowledgeable and brought charm and humor alone with her. We were in a group of 6 (3 couples). We were given plenty of time to see both the Delphi Museum and the ancient ruins, followed by a lovely lunch in New Delphi as a group. She gave us the option but we all got alone well and decided to eat together. We then drove to the cave which happens to be up a very bumpy dirt road but Despina's excellent driving skills got us right to the opening. The cave was amazing! We then drove to the battlegrounds and the memorial area. Although it was a long day, not once did we want to rush it along. There was a nice balance of adventure and rest between. I highly recommend this tour and if your lucky, Despina will be your tour guide. Thank you Despina for a wonderful day, and also your patience when we were walking in circles looking for the pickup spot! 😆 Marie & Joe
This was a fantastic tour! Our guide was excellent and the whole trip was fantastic. The dolma at the lunch spot blew my mind. Definitely wear sturdy shoes for the temple and hiking!
We booked this tour as it was the only one I could find to the cave of Delphi. Ooowh going there was a dream come true. Do bring very sturdy shoes - its slippery in there. Pan (I forgot his full name) did an amazing job.
Such an amazing tour. The drive is a little long, but Despoina made sure that there were bathroom stops and kept us hydrated. The road to the cave is a bit rough. Be sure to put on a patch if you get car sick. Air conditioning went out for a while. Despoina fixed it. She was a wealth of information and a great story teller. We stopped for a (not included) lunch at a very good restaurant. My sister in law lost her phone. Despoina Contacted us the next day. She was still trying to locate it for us. Above and beyond for sure!
Amazing overview of Greek history. We travel a lot, and go in many tours. Will definitely remember this one! Exceeded all expectations, would absolutely recommend!!!
Very interesting, both for the historical venues and the rides getting there. Well informed guide! Avoid the front middle seat!
An absolutely amazing tour! Costa was an outstanding guide whose hospitality and passion made the day unforgettable. His knowledge of Greek history, mythology and culture was incredible, and no question was off limits, he always had an answer. The stops at Delphi, Thermopylae and Corycian Cave were fantastic, and the lunch was one of the best I've had in Greece. We enjoyed Costa's company so much we invited him to join us. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Greece. Thanks, Costa, for an unforgettable experience! 🇬🇷
We had a fantastic time and Kosta was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Delphi is a beautiful place with some breathtaking views and it was great to see the Greek countryside too.
Our driver was very personable and made everyone feel included and comfortable. He explained next steps and was clear on times and where to meet. He taught us history and cultures. We had a great time. The cave part was especially interesting ! Food choices were excellent
Fantastic tour for those interested in history. Very knowledgeable guide. Be prepared for a long 12+ day with 4+ hours of driving, though well worth it.
Very informative in a small group of eight. 12+ hour tour from start to finish.
We give 5 stars to our guide and 4 stars to the tour. The AC in the van was a god send (because it's late June and very hot right now) and our tour guide was so kind and willing to answer any and all questions. He was also very knowledgeable about the history of the locations on our tour. Some small downsides, nothing to pass up the tour for, but things to note. There is a lot of time in the van to get out to the distant locations, if you need a restroom you have to speak up or wait until arriving at the locations. The first stop is Arachova and we wish there were more time that little town. We had time to grab a coffee and look around for about 15 minutes, but we wanted to see more. The sights were wonderful and the lunch in Delphi was delicious. We really enjoyed the ruins and museum in Thermopylae. The drive up the caves was an exciting off road up hill drive, but our tour guide was an expert! All in all, it was a great day and the money spent was well worth it. (Do note, the cost of the trip doesn't include tickets to Thermopylae museum and ruins, nor does it cover lunch or coffee. Those are extras and the tour company does share that upfront.)
Traveling to the Delphi, Corycian Cave and the setting of the 300 battle is a must when visiting Athens. Our guide was great; helpful and informative. Our lunch was one of the best we’ve had in the regions. Highly recommended.
This is a pretty long excursion, but totally worth the trip outside of the city. Costa, our guide and driver was truly outstanding. He was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and made the day both informative and pleasant.
A very long day with lots of driving. Lots of steep climbing with loose gravel paths. Superb guide Despina, very good driver. Enjoyed the trip despite a fall on loose rocks.
Excellent tour, guide and experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of history with us. The tour was a great mix of guided and free roam time. The drive to and from the sites was incredibly beautiful and the lunch was delicious. Wear good shoes with grip, this is not the tour for cutesy sandals.
*if you get car/motion sickness take your meds before and with you on this trip!* This was a great day to spend leaving the city behind and see the country and the mountains and some history too. It was just beautiful everywhere you look. I loved that there were multiple stops to stretch out legs and D was an excellent guide, always making sure we had bathroom breaks, bringing drinks for us, and communicating next steps. She also knew a lot of history and good stories and picked the most beautiful place for lunch. I usually get very motion sick with switchbacks on mountain driving but it really helped to have a small group so I could see out the windows and I took some Meclizine before and halfway through the trip.
It really has everything you could be looking for in terms of history. Despoina was an amazing guide and provided a lot information on our trip. She also educated us about so many other things about Greek history and culture. Delphi was amazing to see all the ruins and the museum, but just know it will be unguided so you go at your own pace and interests. Definitely helps to do some extra research on what you’re looking at beforehand. The journey to the caves is a little rough in the car but definitely worth it. Stopping and seeing the battle of Thermopylae was a huge interest of mine, and so glad I got to see the area with my own eyes. Despoina also did a great job helping us visualize the battle because most of the land has changed since the battle.
This tour was a once in a lifetime experience. It does require a lot of walking and steps. They threw in little extra things along the way. Felt like a vip for sure! Our tour guide, Costas, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and professional.
For me the worth of this tour is Delphi, honestly the rest is not worth the time in the car ( traveling). Our guide was profesional but did not put an extra effort to explain.
Highly recommend booking this. Knowledgeable tour guide and very friendly. One of the highlights of the trip.
We really enjoyed this tour. It was a drive into the mountains. Along the way, they stop at some beautiful towns. Everyone enjoyed lunch at a very good restaurant. Delphi is one of the most beautiful locations you will ever visit. In its prime, people came from all over the world, to visit this location. With good reason. Our guide was outstanding - informing us of the history of all we were seeing. We highly recommend this excursion.
Excellent tour guide. Knew the material and history very well. Kept the group engaged and entertained. Our lunch was also amazing. Great place, great atmosphere, and great service.
It is an unforgettable experience, but there are lots of steps. And it is a long day, but the driver and plan makes it worth it!
Really fun with varied things to do. The museum contained much more than I had expected. The area of the Battle of Thermopylae was interesting
This was an amazing and informative tour! I learned so much! The ride was peaceful and safe! I loved seeing the countryside and walking the land of the Spartans!
We enjoyed this full day trip with Anastasios. Delphi was even more spectacular that we imagined and with its distance Athens, the addition of Corycian Cave and Thermopylae make sense as other stops. A lunch stop in the village of Delphi was very pleasant. With a maximum 7 people, you're not spending time for groups. Anastasios was knowledgeable about each location. (Although his van sound system could be difficult to hear at times.) Despite some vehicle challenges making for a longer day, we got a lot out of this tour and recommend it for those interested in the history and mountain landscapes of Greece. Just know that you are in a van for long day.
Excellent experience! Would highly recommend.
Great half day tour down to the Temple of Poseidon. Sabi was very knowledgeable and taught us the history of Greek words, the blue roofs, the Temple of Poseidon, and much more. She kept the journey down there entertaining and fun. The view from the beach was amazing and the sunset from the temple was so memorable.
Great tour, led by a highly knowledgeable, highly pleasant guide, who offered a perfectly paced tour for a 12 hour full day trip. Everything went smoothly. Would recommend!
