Palamidi is a fortress in the town of Nafplio in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece. Nestled on the crest of a 216-metre high hill, the fortress was built by the Venetians during their second occupation of the area (1686–1715).

This tour was great with our tour guide George. He was very knowledgeable of all the historical sites we visited. We were very impressed with his driving. He managed to get us through Athens traffic safely and efficiently to get to Corinth and other sites an hour away. Very pleasant person to be with all day.
Wonderful trip. George was one of the best guides I have had after traveling the world for 30 years. Very punctual, friendly with great historical and insider knowledge. Trip was tailored to us and was very comprehensive. Vehicle and driving was top notch. This particular trip was an amazing experience of some of the best historic sites in Greece. Highly recommended for seeing an area of Greece outside of Athens, but not too far out. I would highly recommend as an add on to a trip to Athens. Scenery is spectacular. It made our trip so much better than the typical quick trip to the parthenon, then off to the Greek islands.
Great excursion! We really wanted to see the Corinth Canal but the cruise excursion we scheduled got canceled due to maintenance on the canal. Viator had tours available and we were matched to driver Giannis who was wonderful-patient, knowledgeable, accommodating. We saw the canal and so much more. Many thanks!

Outstanding experience. Our guide was very friendly, told a lot historical or just interesting facts about places we passing. Since we was good in timing, we had some stops for shot and look around even beyond what was expected, like the oldest bridge or Corinth Acropolis. We really enjoyed tour and i highly recommend it.
We highly recommend this experience! Truly a highlight of our 12 day Greek Adventure! Our guide was committed to giving us the best experience possible and he sure delivered! It ended up being a 12 hour day, with a variety of experiences that we thoroughly enjoyed! Our driver was so well-read and informed, sharing so much knowledge that truly added to our experience and understanding of what we saw, eventhough he was not a "certified guide". We were expecting to share a minibus, but instead had a private tour. Georgio our driver spoke excellent English thankfully and we had a really fun day as a result. Locations were varied and interesting and we didnt feel the time pressure of a coach trip. Very relaxed and enjoyable trip!
This trip was an excellent way to experience the countryside of Greece. We highly recommend this tour and our excellent limo driver Billy. He was very attentive to our needs and was extremely friendly I wish we had read up on the history or paid for a guide at each site and places we were seeing before we embarked on the long journey.
We really enjoyed the private tour. It was over 90 degrees F and it involved a great deal of very difficult walking and climbing. We found the outcome was worth the effort but it was exhausting. Lunch was in a beautiful area by the water.
Excellent tour with our taxi and tour guide Alex. Wonderful sights and rich information from Alex which added an extra dimension. We went at our own pace "Don't worry about the clock, just enjoy" said Alex, and we did. A great day and wonderful lunch in Nafplio. 10/10

Great trip to see some of the most impressive historical sites in the country. Our driver and guide Nikos was incredible. Not only did he provide us with a lot of information about each place we visited but let us set the pace of our tour. To finish the trip he suggested some restaurants in Athens that were excellent and made for a great dinner. We strongly recommend this tour and Nikos as a driver and guide.

He displayed a robust knowledge of Greek history, which highlighted our journey and made the experience come to life. What a wonderful day touring the beautiful Peloponnese area of Greece! From our on-time pickup at the hotel in Athens to the easy drive to all the top sites along the way, this tour could not have been better. Shout out to our tour driver, Alex (LS Tours), for his genuine hospitality in showing us his lovely country. We were not rushed and visited each site at our own pace. Great lunch at a port-side restaurant in Nafplio with time to shop afterwards. The walk up to the Acrocorinth and the Palamidi Castle at the top for the best views over Nafplio were beautiful. Highly recommend!
Excellent tour. The modern canal of Corinth is actually pretty cool. Loved the theater at Epidaurus. You can skip the acropolis at Corinth (or ask the tour guide to do so), the interesting ruins are at the bottom of town anyway.
Alex is an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. Ancient Corinth is well worth going. We had a lovely time.

Our driver Andreas was such an integral part of the success of our experience. He arrived on time and treated us like royalty. From his first suggestion of a change to our itinerary, I knew the day was going to be great. I had planned to ask for the same change and it ended up being our favorite part of the trip.
