Guide was excellent. I wasn’t able to finish the tour due to my ship leaving at a certain time, but what I attended of the tour was great. The guide made sure we were well taken care of and was very informative. I liked that it was a small group.

Super easy to use, typically had someone at every stop making sure you were getting on the right bus. Commentary about sights was interesting. Enjoyed the ride!
Great way to get around Athens to get to the destinations you want to tour! We hardly ever had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for a bus.
Great. Buy the 2 day pass it’s worth it.
It was a good experience, except for the fact that, it often takes a minute for the bus to arrive. Please be sure to get on the correct bus as there are several hop on hop offs on the lines.. The bus drivers were very helpful in making sure we got on and off the correct stops. We ended up missing the last bus from the Parthenon back to our hotel in Pireaus. The drivers were very kind to let us ride the bus to a closer stop where we could catch the train back to our hotel. We truly appreciated that, as we were fish out of water. Lol..
This is an excellent way to see Athens and you can easily hop off at all the major attractions - Athens can be done in a day but it’s full on so would recommend it for 2 days!
Fairly good trip went on bit long though but traffic bad . Fairly good sights . Would say was worthwhile way to see some of main sites
As with all our other hop on hop off this was a great way to see the city. Lots of stops that you can see to get a good overview of the city.
Audio was almost unintelligible! The person spoke well, but the audio was terrible! Like they were speaking through a pillow. Bus ride was reasonable, though, protests and detours turned our 2 hr ride into 4. In general, kinda sucked
The best way to get an overview of your new destination. We do it every place we go. Highly recommend using Hop on Hop Off.
Having turned up at the bus stop and bought our tickets with the qr code the driver checked we wanted to start that day due to demonstrations disrupting the route. We had the most unbelievable experience driving through the city on roads we would have never seen. A masterclass on how to drive a bus. Not all stops able to be called at due to demonstrations, but the drivers kept us informed. A good trip. If there was a tip box I would have tipped.
We purchased the 48-hour hop-on, hop-off bus pass for all the routes, and it was well worth it. It was a great way to see everything Athens has to offer and visit its many points of interest. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore the city at their own pace!
Bus number 12 was crowded. Our driver was excellent and very friendly! Associate at bus stop was helpful also.
Great tour, did two of three and had nice time would do this tour again when going back to Greece 👍👍
Definitely a good choice if you plan to spend the day exploring Athens. Don’t just ride the bus get off & explore!
Decent overview of Athens but not as good as guided sightseeing. I took the Athens route which was supposed to take 1 1./2 hours but it took almost 2 hours. It provided an overview but not many good stories from the history of Athens. The hop on and hop off process was easy to manage.
Very polite and friendly drivers. Busses were clean and ran on-time. We felt it was a perfect way to see alot of the city if here for a limited amount of time
Good number of stops and routes, however the bus was hot inside! Either no AC or not working correctly.
A good way to see the sights and to get your bearings. We did the 1-day ticket and really enjoyed our tour. Buses are frequent and the city centre (red?) route takes in most of the main sights. Our bus was clean and the audio guide was good. They can be very busy and it's not always possible to find seats upstairs
A great way to get the lay of the land and to see what places you want to visit later. Sitting on the top is particularly satisfying. Occasionally you have to wait at one of the stops for longer than half an hour, and there is no place to sit down, so make sure you’re able to do that.
Short trip routes - not all worth hopping off at Riviera line worth getting off if wanted to go to q beach; otherwise more like a tour of area
The red hop on hop off bus was easy to use and allowed my partner and I to spend as much or as little time at each location. The ear buds worked to hear history regarding each location on our way. We did not ride the whole tour, but what we did ride and see we enjoyed!
It was a convenient way to get to the tourist sites and it ran frequently.
Great way to see Athens. Lots of stops to get on and off along the way.
The Hop On Hop Off bus is an excellent way to see all off the highlights of the city. We did two days - the first to get an overview and the second to get on and off at the sights that we wanted to visit.
Such a great way to start off in a new city. We do this every occasion we travel where there is a hop on bus. Helps you get the lay of the city and go from there. Try to do it on your first or second day there.
Good way to get between places but the traffic was crazy. My back got a bit sore sitting for so long.
It was very well organized. There were kind and helpful people to answer any questions. The routes were great
hot and humid and crowded. had to wait for multiple buses and fight for a seat would not recommend
Worth the money but thought I was buying for all three lines. Need to pay extra to see more than one line. The red line is the only one worth it we thought
This was so fun and such a great value! The bus operators were so friendly and nice. Very convenient and timely.
Is a must! because it gives you a good idea of the places and sights you may be interested in seeing. The drive to the beaches is also beautiful, as it gives you a different perspectie of Athens.
This is a great way to get a feel for the city. You get the opportunity to learn some of the history, but at your own pace
You cannot see out of the windows if you’re sitting in the lower level of the bus. There are decals on the outside of the windows that block your view.
Usual roam around town with earplugs. Route chosen seem repetitive and we did cover the same areas twice. Did not enjoy as we were mainly stuck in traffic. The stop we were at was announced by the driver but it was quite loud and hard to understand
We booked the three day tickets before our arrival. We were in Athens for 3 days and used the bus everyday. Research where you are staying and find the closest stop. Remember your paid reservation needs to be scanned and they give you a printed ticket good for how many days you paid for. Don’t loose that receipt. We visited the historic sites, museums, shopping and even took the bus to see the beaches. No problem finding the stops. Grab a map so you know what stop you want to The staff were fun and helpful
The tour guides and operators were super kind and helpful. Made it so easy to get around Athens!
This is also a great way get a lay of the land. We like to ride the bus once all through and then we get off at the stops
Great way to see the city .Audio was clear and informative.
Convenient, commentary doesn’t match the stops
I accidentally booked this excursion a month early and contacted the company immediately to let them know. I asked if it could be switched and never heard back! Very disappointed and frustrating!
Always book the 72 hours ticket. It is convenient to use instead of spending a lot on taxi even after you finished all the loops/lines. Wear sun protection if you plan to stay on the open top deck. The staff are super friendly and helpful.
Our bus was very crowded. Had to wait for another bus because no seating at one stop. Sat up top and a tree branch whacked a kid in front of us that wasn't looking. Wear a hat, take water because it is hot and sunny. The recording was not in sync with the speed our bus was going. I have experienced many hop on hop off in other cities that were wonderful. This one was disappointing. Maybe because we had done a private tour the day before that covered all the areas and it was amazing. Feeling a bit underwhelmed after this tour.
The best way to see most of Athens plus provided info about each historical places. Well recommended to first time visitors.
Open top bus but the roof was closed. Hard to look up to see the sites compared to our recent Barcelona experience. The weather was a perfect 26C so no excuse having the roof closed.
Great over view of Athens. Convenient hop on, hop off stops. I liked the number of access points. Staff was very helpful with my sister in a wheelchair.
This made it possible to see all of Athens in one day. It was quite easy to catch connections busses and people monitoring stops were very friendly and helpful.
Nice way to see the city. However there are areas that should be seen that cannot because the buses cant get to them
It gives a good overall idea of the city and some basic history. It was very hot so I advice riders to bring a hat if the top deck is not covered. The downstairs back area smells like diesel fumes, so avoid that. Earbud system was decent, but bring your own, as i had a few nad ones.
Good value for money. Good local information and location of stops. Bus drivers not very friendly and I may try other operators on future visits.
