Cape Sounion, Temple Of Poseidon, Athenian Riviera Private Tour

We had such a wonderful evening with Petros on our sunset tour to Cape Sounion! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and so easy to talk to. We really enjoyed the drive, learning about the area, and seeing the Temple of Poseidon. Watching the sunset there was absolutely beautiful! Dinner was a great way to end the evening, and we loved being able to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Petros made everything easy and enjoyable, and we really appreciated his company throughout the evening. This was one of our favorite experiences during our time in Greece. We would definitely recommend this tour, especially with Petros!

Dimitris was looking for us early and ready for us. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant about Athens and the area. What a beautiful drive to Poseidon’s Temple along the sea shore. Took in the scenery and off to lunch in a seaside restaurant that had delicious fish, Greek salad, wonderful authentic Greek food.

We enjoyed our morning driving along the coast and seeing the Temple of Poseidon. Nick was a great guide and recommended a lovely taverna with the beach below us. The good was wonderful and a great way to end our 4 weeks in Europe.

The tour was great. The car was very cramped for 4 adults A mini van over a regular sedan would have been better. Guide was very nice and knowledgeable

I booked a ‘last minute’ tour from Athens to Sournio to see the temple of Poseidon at sunset. Our wonderful driver - Stelios - picked us up at the hotel. A lovely clean very comfortable Mercedes E class. Stelios gave us a very interesting and informative Greek history lesson en route to the temple along the coastal route. Which we really enjoyed and appreciated. . He was a font of knowledge! We stopped at a beautiful lake / thermal springs on the way, which is obviously a local hot spot. After visiting the temple we had dinner in a nearby hotel restaurant with a perfect view of the temple- and a glorious sunset. Stelios was waiting for us outside when we were ready to head back to Athens A thoroughly enjoyable trip with Afro our last night in Athens. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Thank you starts for arranging and to Stelios gor tte wonderful experience.

Amazing experience. The scenery was breathtaking, the guide was outstanding!!! We also stopped for dinner and have some of the best food we've ever had. I highly recommend this and will book again if we ever return to Athens.

Beautiful tour. Tour Guide Stelios was amazing. Very accommodating. We also ate at a great restaurant on the coast, with great views and great food. No rushing around, catered to us, at the speed we wanted. Everything about it from pick up to drop off was relaxing and enjoyable.

Having our tour guide felt less like being on a tour and more like having a family member drive us around. He was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond by sharing insights about places that weren’t even included on the itinerary. One of the highlights was being taken to an absolutely amazing restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious family‑style dinner that felt authentic and special. Every part of the day was thoughtfully planned and effortlessly enjoyable. All in all, it was a great day, and our tour guide was truly exceptional. Highly recommend!

We were a family of three ( 2 adults and our daughter ) visiting Athens and booked the Cape Sounion and Athenian Riviera private tour. Stavros picked us up from the Divani Palace Acropolis and honestly he made our whole day. Really friendly guy, great driver, and you could tell he genuinely loves showing people around his country. He knew all the best spots. He even took us to a lovely seaside restaurant called Ta 4 Adelfia on the coastal road near Sounion for lunch — the food was fantastic, proper authentic Greek seafood, and it felt like a real local find. The coastal drive was beautiful, we loved the stop at Lake Vouliagmeni, and the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion was easily the highlight of our whole Athens trip. Highly recommended. Thank you Stavros, you were brilliant!

On time, very personable and knowledgeable. We had a great drive along the coastline to the Temple of Poseidon. Afterwards we went to an awesome seaside restaurant. Had a great meal . All in all everything I expected. I would highly recommend this excursion.

What an incredible experience to swim in Lake Vouliagmeni! Thanks to my guide, Stavros, we were able to spend time at the lake and still had plenty of time to explore the Temple of Poseidon!!! It was a perfect day on the Athenian Riviera!!!

Stavros, our tour guide, picked us up at our hotel in a new Tesla. The drive along the coast to Cape Sounion was relaxing with beautiful views. Stavros took us to a vantage point where we could see Lake Vouliagmeni. We never would have found that spot on our own! He explained about the underground canals that feed the lake. When we explored the Temple of Poseidon, it was not crowded and the weather was nice, making this one of the most enjoyable architectural sites we visited. The views of the sea from the temple were stunning. Stavros recommend the “Four Brothers” restaurant for lunch. This was an unexpected treat! We were offered a table next to a window overlooking the water. It was a beautiful view! One of the brothers came by and urged us to look at the catch of the day. We picked out a good sized and very fresh fish for the table. The cooked fish was prepared tableside for serving. We ordered French fries, tzatziki with fried bread, Greek and beet salads. Everything was delicious! We all agreed that the fries and tzatziki we the best we ever had! The itinerary for the tour was perfectly accurate. We highly recommend this tour! We learned and saw many things that would not have on our own.

A truly amazing evening. Our driver was really great… friendly, shared lots of information, and arranged a fantastic dinner for the six of us. Our restaurant was right on the water, where they served us amazing fresh seafood, with their own special spices. They really went above and beyond our expectations! The temple was amazing, as well. Definitely recommend adding the local restaurant stop to the tour…

Great trip with Yannis. Beautiful Mercedez van, impeccably clean, water bottles supplied, comfortable air conditioning. On trip down we stopped at a lovely Lake Resort for pictures at a hot spring lake. It was awesome. Temple of Poseidon was worth the trip, great views. Yannis took us to a fabulous seaside restaurant and obtained reservations for us. Comfortable trip all around.

The driver was Stelios who was very flexible. He allowed us to stop several times to take in the views. He also took us to a wonderful seaside restaurant where we picked out our catch of the day which was a huge red fish. Also some of the best calamari We ever had. The temple of Poseidon is kinda over rated, compar3d to similar temples in Athens. Let's just say the journey is better than the destination.

The ride was relaxing and the views were amazing. Our driver was Dimitrios who was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about everything-Greek! A plus was his plush Mercedes which made for a comfortable ride. This is not a comment about the tour but it cost 20€ per person to enter the Temple of Poseidon grounds, which is way too much.

Had a wonderful tour with Maria to the Temple of Poseidon! She was very accommodating and pleasant. She took us to a fantastic seafood restaurant on the waterfront on the way back. We had a great meal of fried squid, grilled octopus, and muscles in a red sauce with feta. On our way back, Maria showed us a few other sites which we enjoyed. She really puts in a lot of effort to make it a special tour. Highly recommend!

Our driver was excellent. Friendly. And knowledgeable. He answered so many of our questions with a smile! The car was nice and comfortable. The drive was beautiful. The destination was ok. I don’t think the destination is that amazing after you have seen the acropolis and the other sights around Athens.

The drive to Sounion was spectacular, the Temple of Poseidon was breathtaking, but the highlight was Panos himself. Encyclopedic knowledge of Greek history, fun and engaging personality, and a very safe driver, we enjoyed our time with him immensely. First rate experience -I highly recommend this company.

Great & informative tour. Glykeria picked us up at our hotel and took us on a scenic trip to the temple of Poseidon. The shoreline is so beautiful and the sites should not be missed. She was very knowledgeable and gave us so much information along the way. We enjoyed our time so much that we booked her again for the following day to give us a tour through the city. We are so pleased that we booked this trip, whilst in Athens it was a good change to get out of the city, we met Glykeria (our guide)and she took us along the Athens Riviera coast line, which is quite spectacular, whilst on route to the Temple of Poseidon, we stopped off at some beautiful view points for pictures, all the way to our destination Glykeria gripped us with tales of Greek mythology and of course the true history, when we reached the temple we fully understood the significance of the temple and it was wonderful to see, on the way back again along the Riviera, we stopped at a authentic Greek seafood restaurant right on the waters edge, we had a seafood platter and wine just before the sunset, this restaurant was amazing, the quality of the food was so much appreciated, the trip created such lovely memories for us and we can’t thank you enough, until the next time ♥️

The temple of Poseidon is a must to visit place , located on top of a hill we had the chance to see the sunset from up there and learned a lot with our driver Panos , his knowledge about the landmarks and the insights that he gave us made this experience amazing.

We had the privilege of having Panos as our driver on this private tour. He was very knowledgeable and extremely personable. He was a great driver. He responds very quickly to messages and is great at communicating. We would highly recommend his services for private tours!
