He was punctual for my pick up and as I had been to Athens before and needed to fill in time before my flight I got him to set an itinerary that involved an easy time around the Greek Riviera and a beautiful lunch... This tour is amazingly beautiful, very scenic with gorgeous landscapes. The Temple of Poseidon with sun setting in background is a MUST experience if you're in Athens. This Cape Sounio tour was one of the most relaxing parts of our trip. The drive along the Athenian Riviera was beautiful, with amazing sea views almost the entire way. When we reached the Temple of Poseidon, the setting was even better than expected — standing there overlooking the Aegean Sea is something you don’t forget easily. Maria shared some interesting history and mythology but also gave us time to explore on our own. Everything was easy and well timed, and it never felt rushed. We booked the Sounio tour mainly for the views, and it completely exceeded expectations. The coastal route from Athens was beautiful from start to finish, and once we arrived at the Temple of Poseidon the scenery was simply stunning. There’s something very peaceful about being there, with the sea all around and the temple standing on the cliff. Our guide kept the experience relaxed and gave us just the right amount of historical background without turning it into a lecture. It felt more like a memorable escape from the city than a typical sightseeing tour, and we genuinely loved every minute of it.

Dimitrios is an awesome guide. Not only is he a font of historical knowledge but he also offers a unique Greek point of view on Greek history, both ancient and recent. I’m not sure what I enjoyed more, the actual destination or the conversation during the journey. As for the temple site here is a significant amount of colonades, walls and pathways that enable you to put yourself right in the timeframe of the temples heyday. Should you have the pleasure to book with Dimitrios be sure to have him tell you how the Aegean Sea got its name?
The tour guide was very nice but most of the trip was just driving and for the price it seemed to be lackluster. It’s not about the tour guide but the structure of the experience based on the price point.
We booked a trip to Cap Sounion from Athens. Our driver and the owner of the company Demetrious included a stop to swim what we loved. He was incredibly friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable regarding history and recent events. We enjoyed a wonderful trip to the temple of Zeus and had a great time.

We arranged a day tour for us since we were checking out of our accommodations and our flight was leaving in the evening. Kyriakos picked us up and was a knowledgable and fun guide through Sounion. We all really liked Lake Vouliagmeni and decided to drop a church from the itinerary on the fly and spend some more time their swimming. Kyriakos was accommodating and adaptable. After the temple we had a nice lunch on the beach before returning to the airport for our flight. Definitely one of the most memorable and enjoyable days on our trip. Thanks!

I would highly recommend this experience. Dimitrios was very knowledgeable and humble. Even though it was a taxi strike in Athens that day, he still managed the tour for us. I wish we had more days so we could do other day trips from Athens too. Hopefully next time we will.

We booked the excursion to visit Cape Sounio and Temple of Poisidon Athenian Riviera 4 hour tour through TripAdvisor, we received an immediate response from Demitris to ask if we would prefer Sunrise or Sunset we chose to take the Sunset Tour. Demitris picked us up at the hotel at 6 pm. and took us sightseeing with the amazing views. We arrived at the Temple of Poisidon and was a bit windy. My wife didn't bring a jumper with her, and Demitris offered his jacket to her. After visiting the Temple of Poisidon, Demitris took us to a restaurant to enjoy dinner before heading home. Demitris was very knowledgeable about the history and surroundings and told us of other places we could go and visit. We also booked Demitris to drop us off at the airport. Maria was an excellent guide and driver for our half day tour to The Temple of Poseidon. She was very professional and pleasant to deal with. She gave us lots of interesting information about the area which we drove through. After we visited the Temple, she took us to a wonderful local restaurant on the water. We ate very glad that we selected the lunch option. We had a great seafood lunch (muscles sakanaki, grilled octopus, fried squid). On our way back, Maria showed us a few additional sites in Athens which we appreciated. She made it a very memorable experience. Highly recommend!

Fabulous Acropolis/Parthenon and optional Museum guided Tour with our excellent and fun Guide Vennardo (Bernie) The knowledge gained from our Guide regarding the history of Acropolis, mythological Gods, sights and detailed Museum Tour was very informative. Our Guide has a Greek History University degree. Recommend going on 8am Tour if weather is hot. Climb is a slow pace given crowds, however quite easy now given that there are ramps and proper steps. We had the option which included Tickets, which meant we could avoid the long ticket queues. You won’t regret taking this Tour.
Excellent 4 hour Tour to beautiful Poseidon Temple Sounio, arriving 1 hour before the magical Sunset. Incredible views of the Poseidon Temple easily accessible 5 minute walk to the site. We also stopped at Lake Vouliagmeni for a quick photo, however views were limited due to barriers given one must pay to enter the Lake private resort. Our driver Maria was professional, fun and super friendly. A wonderful experience.

I was in Athens for a business trip. I arrived at ~8am and boy did I luck out because I had Dimitrios as my driver from the airport to my hotel. On just that short drive I felt so comfortable with Dimitrios and had a blast just chatting about Greece and all the sights! In fact the drive experience was so great that when I got to my hotel room I messaged him to see if he had any availability for a tour - I had some open time before my colleagues' flight arrived. Lucky for me Dimitrios did have availability and he recommended the 1/2 day private Cape Sounion Temple of Poseidon Tour. Well, this tour was absolutely wonderful! His car is sooo nice and Dimitrios did not mind at all that I sat upfront with him - I was solo and felt it would be uncomfortable sitting in the back seat trying to have conversation with him. We made several stops (including Vouliagmeni Lake) and had wonderful conversation and photo ops - he shared a lot about the history and pointed out landmarks along the way. We had coffee at the Temple and on the way back we stopped for an awesome seafood lunch! We ate together which was great - it felt as if we had known each other for years it was that comfortable and fun! I highly recommend Athens Day Trip Tours if you want to be guaranteed a fabulous time! I will definitely look them up when I go back!

To celebrate our 6 year anniversary, during our four day stay in Athens, we had booked a tour to this wonderful location. We had asked that we are taken there at night....to celebrate Valentine's Day in a really superb manner. What an experience being at the temple during a night thunderstorm....The driving services were impeccable, as the coordination they had done with God Poseidon himself!!!!
