Anastasia made the Acropolis Wine Tasting a delightful introduction to wines from across Greece, with detailed explanations that made each region and wine easy to appreciate. She also went in depth about pairing wine with food, showing how the right match can bring out the best in both. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, so learning about wine never felt like homework. With Anastasia guiding the tasting, every glass came with a story worth savoring.

Anastasia is excellent! We knew effectively nothing about wine going into the very fun experience, but we’ve been applying what we learned to every wine we’ve tried for the rest of our trip. She also very kindly helped us figure out a family name we are looking for in the area she is also from. Nice bonus! Thank you Anastasia!

Anastasia was very knowledgeable and fun. It was a delightful evening. The cheeses paired perfectly with wines and I learned so much. Never was there pressure to purchase anything. This was so much fun and very informative! It was just us and another couple since the weather was bad, but it was perfect and intimate. We got to try some awesome wines, learn some Greek history and a sweet surprise of creating our own blend to bring back home. 10/10 recommend!

I really enjoyed this wine tasting. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wines were very nice and the tasting gave us great insight into their back story. There was something for everyone, those who just enjoy a tipple or more experienced wine drinkers.

This was a great way to spend a random Thursday afternoon. The venue is tucked away in the back streets of old Athens. Inside it was like stepping into a high class bistro. Anastasia, our somilier was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. She clearly has a passion for Greek wines and wants to champion these to the world. I had paid for a selection of 5 wines, each had their own character and paired well with the cheeses provided. I left having drank some great Greek wines, nibbled some wonderful Greek cheeses and learnt a whole lot more about wine composition and history. Having tried and failed to find decent Greek wine myself I pushed Anastasia for some recommendations for a wine bar to head onto, Heteroclito on the way to Sygmata Square really didn't disappoint. It can be a little challenging finding the place, but it's worth persevering as the experience is magical.

Anastasia was an amazing host! We learned so much from her extensive knowledge on wine and its history. I would recommend this to anyone who is a beginner with wines and who wants to immerse themselves into the Greek culture while visiting Athens.

We had the best time. Learned a lot about Greek wines and some wonderful history. Even added to our wine tasting knowledge and truly our “wine guide” was wonderful and humorous. Highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing experience. We had 3 whites and 2 reds, where each wine was carefully chosen to help us understand the intricacies of wine tasting. We were also given a very interesting historical lesson of how wine became what it is today, and how it has impacted greek culture. Overall I would highly recommend this to both new and experienced wine drinkers.

Most amazing experience for a wine tour with Anastasia. The host was extremely knowledgeable. Teaching us things about wine like how to taste for acidity, boldness, flavors, etc. that will allow us to understand future tastings at home. Above and beyond all the standard drink and buy tastings we've had up until now. I would not recommend if you are looking for a quick drink and go 30 min experience. This is long and in depth. Amazing time, would tell my friends about!

Our group had a great time at this event. We were looking for something to do after sunset where we could relax for a busy day walking around Athens. Our instructor was fabulous and she walked us through all the wines and interesting history information on their origin.

This was an excellent wine tasting hosted by Theo. The information provided around the history of Greek wines and winemaking regions made it more than just your typical wine tasting. The delicious wines and cheese were an added bonus. All in all an excellent introduction to Greek wines and and well worth doing.

This was a great tasting and a wonderful exposure to the breadth and depth of Greek wines. It would’ve been nice to leave with some information as there was a lot shared and no possible way to retain all of that after 90 minutes. Even the link to a one page summary that people could download if they choose, would have been welcome way to retain some of Anastasia’s knowledge after the experience. She was an informed and enthusiastic guide on our brief introduction to the world of Greek wine.

We really enjoyed the best wine tasting in Athens. Yianni was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. He went above and beyond, teaching us more than we ever knew about wine. It is obvious that Yianni really enjoys teaching about wine.

This wine tasting was very useful in learning about Greek wine, having no prior knowledge. The quaint wine tasting room gave us a chance to connect with other travelers. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and included a lot of history. The wine and cheese pairings were enjoyable and we learned a lot about how to properly taste the wines. All knowledge that we took with us and applied the rest of our trip. Overall the wine tasting was around 2 hours. If you’re in Athens and don’t have any knowledge of Greek wines I’d highly recommend this experience to get you up to speed quickly so you can drink what locals do at restaurants!

I am a young adult and went with a group of friends. As someone who didn’t know much about wine, this was a great experience as it taught me a bit about understanding qualities of the wine through taste, smell, and sight. I would definitely recommend if you are interesting in learning more about wine.
