Authentic Greek Food Tasting With Acropolis View

Despite traveling to several different countries, my husband and I had never gone to a hosted dinner before at a local chef's home. It was such an amazing experience that we plan on doing something similar on all our trips. I can't say enough about Chef Giannis, the incredible meal, and wonderful atmosphere. We went on a Thursday evening in November so it ended up being my husband and I and one more traveler. Giannis gave us a delightful welcome drink. Giannis then took us on a tour of Greece through twelve dishes. I tend to be a picky eater and I loved everything I ate. In fact, it helped me decide what to order in other Greek restaurants as I would not have ordered some of the dishes had I not had it at Giannis's place first. Although I will say, that Giannis's dishes were by far superior to any thing else I ate during my stay in Athens. Along with dinner, Giannis also provided us with wonderful local wine to drink. My husband I can honestly say that Giannis & Konstantinos Authentic Greek Food Tasting was one of the highlights of our trip. Do not miss out on this fantastic experience!

We booked this dinner through EatWith during Athens’ off-season and were lucky enough to have Chef Giannis all to ourselves for the evening. He welcomed us into his beautiful home, where we dined on the outdoor patio with a magical view of the Acropolis lit up at night. There was a little chill in the air, which only added to the atmosphere. The ten-course dinner was delicious and incredibly generous. Come hungry, because it was more food than the two of us could finish! Our main courses were moussaka and lemon chicken with potatoes, and the spetsofai and lemon chicken were particular standouts. If you’re visiting Athens, this is a wonderful way to sample a wide variety of traditional Greek dishes in a beautiful, personal setting. A memorable evening with a welcoming chef and an unforgettable view.

My friend and I were in Greece a total of 16 days. We visited Athens and 3 islands. Our 12 course meal here was the best food we ate our entire time in Greece! The price is well worth the experience. We met some great people and had a fabulous time. You should not miss this if you are in Athens!

What an amazing experience! Giannis was such gracious host, and the 10 course traditional Greek meal was out of this world. As a trained chef, Giannis's offerings could not have been more pleasing. My wife was so impressed she even bought his cookbook online right from the meal. All of this on a balcony with a view of the Acropolis!

The food was absolutely delicious (they were some of my favorite dishes of our entire 9-day trip across Athens, Mykonos and Santorini) and our hosts were so kind and welcoming. If you're wondering whether this experience is worth it, stop thinking and book it. It was hands down the best meal we had in Greece and one of the most memorable travel experiences we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, Giannis and Konstantinos made us feel like old friends rather than guests. The evening wasn't just about incredible food—it was about Greek hospitality, culture, stories, laughter, and meeting wonderful people from around the world. The food just kept coming! Every dish was homemade, beautifully presented, and represented a different region of Greece. The moussaka, tzatziki and traditional specialties were better than anything we found in restaurants during the rest of our trip. Come hungry because you'll leave absolutely full! The setting is just as special as the meal. Watching the sunset and the Acropolis light up from the balcony while enjoying local wine and conversation is something we'll never forget. This isn't a restaurant. It's an evening spent in the home of two amazing brothers who genuinely love sharing their country, their food, and their traditions. By the end of the night, it felt like we had made friends rather than simply had dinner. If you're visiting Athens, make this one of the first things you do. Next time we're in Greece, we'll definitely be back.

Dinner with Giannis & Konstantinos was one of my favorite experiences in Athens. The food was incredible! Every plate was special, and there were so many courses! As each dish was served, the history of the dish and the fresh ingredients used were explained. The view from the patio is incredible and the family very welcoming. What a lovely evening! We were celebrating my cousin's birthday and had literally just come off of a cruise and a case of a lot of eating. To sit in the comfort of Gianni's home and to be served a 10-course home cooked meal was absolutely wonderful, not to mention the view of the Acropolis in the distance! Gianni and his brother, Konstantinos, were perfect hosts. Chef Gianni prepared a delicious meal and everyone came away with full and happy tummies. They were gracious and very accommodating of my allergies. My cousin had an unforgettable birthday and even had a very special Greek cake! We had a private dining experience and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this experience!

An amazing experience. The food was delicious. The rooftop view of the Acropolis lite up was really nice. The Chef and his brother totally welcomed us into their home. When we go back to Athens; we will definitely do this again.

I definitely recommend this dinner with Giannis & Konstantinos. There were 8 of us traveling together to Greece. We asked our travel agent to recommend a restaurant for the 8 of us to start our trip. He recommended this dining experience. Have dinner in the home of 2 Greek brothers. It was so much fun! The brothers made all of us feel right at home. We felt like part of the family when we left. The food wad DELICIOUS and there was a lot of it. Every time we thought we might be finished, another course arrived. It was an incredible way to start our trip. One word of advice...they are in a residential area. We were staying close to the Marina. We didn't plan enough time to get to their apartment. That was our fault, not theirs. So make sure you give yourself enough time to get there.

It was just my wife and I at Giannis apartment on this evening, but he made us very welcome. He is a really talented chef and we had an amazing selection of dishes. The view of the Acropolis from his terrace was wonderful.

We had dinner at Giannis and Konstantinos' place on May 21st, 2025, as a group of eight. The experience was excellent. The food was great. Ten homemade Greek dishes, each one explained to us as it was served. We had beer and wine options, plus a welcome drink. Everything was served on their balcony with a clear view of the Acropolis. The hosts were friendly, shared details about the food, and gave us space to enjoy the evening as a group. At the end, they shared the recipes, which was a very nice touch. If you're looking for a relaxed and genuine dinner in Athens, this is a perfect choice.

This was the best dinner, and best experience we had in Athens BY FAR. My wife, her parents, and I went to Giannis’s from a friend’s recommendation. So did the other couple that shared the night with us… came from a friend’s recommendation. You know it’s gonna be good when all the people who came to a shared experience was recommended to them by someone they knew. The dinner was extravagant, yet understated. Incredibly flavors, the view was amazing, and Konstantinos was an in incredibly friendly and insightful host. When we’re back in Athens, we will ABSOLUTELY be doing this again. Truly one of a kind, put on by two incredibly genuine, hilarious, and talented people.

I was in Athens with family and friends for my 50th birthday and stumbled upon the opportunity to have a homemade dinner in a great apartment in Athens. The food was spectacular and everyone had a wonderful evening! One of our guests has a nut allergy and they were able to accommodate. This is one of the best ways to experience Greece in casual, authentic way. I will do it again on my next trip!

Really great food prepared by Giannis. While I was impressed with the selection, I would have liked to see more authentic Greek types of entrees. Absolutely loved the Spetzofai. The 10 courses meal was, in my estimation a bit starter heavy. Kostas was a great host and explained each dish. Overall a great experience.

Such a warm welcome, delicious food and a great view of the Acropolis from the family balcony where we dined. We were a group of 14 and thouroughly enjoyed our evening with this charming attentive Greek family.

This was hands down my best and favorite dinner in Athens! If you want to have a "home cooked meal" with an amazing view of the Acropolis, this is the place. The 10 courses were beyond amazing (just don't fill up too much on the first few courses!), service was top notch, and our group thoroughly enjoyed chatting in a comfortable setting. We had a wonderful night in Athens with Giannis and Konstantinos. The food was incredible and G & K warmly welcomed us into their home. We met a number of other guests who like us enjoyed some of the best food we had in Greece. We caught the train to the venue and an Uber back to the hotel. I absolutely loved this experience. Giannis is an INCREDIBLE chef. and Konstantinos is such a great host! We sat on Giannis's terrace with a brilliant view of the Acropolis. 11 courses and two hours later I was full of some of the most delicious food I've ever had, had great company (this event attracts some really amazing people from all over the world), had great wine, great company, great food... all of it.
