Athens: Ancient Greek Theatre Murder Mystery Experience

What an absolute gem of an experience! My momma and I went in September, and there were 4 other participants, which made it intimate, interactive, and downright hilarious! ONE actor played all the characters, and he was phenomenal! We laughed, participated, and learned so much. The best part? Throughout the rest of our trip, as we explored Greece and learned more history, we kept referencing little tidbits from the murder mystery. That's how you know an experience was memorable! Easy to find, great gelato a few blocks away, and genuinely fun for all ages.

Very fun and so creative!! WIth an engaging and interesting host! If you are the least bit interested in murder mysteries, this is a perfect way to spend some fun time with kids!

Michael was an EXCELLENT guide/host— engaging, funny and entertaining. Our entire family— grandparents and children aged 10 and 6 alike— had an absolute blast and loved the clever and thought-provoking interactive plot, as well!

We went recently and had such an amazing time, there was only me and my partner and two other people because the big group had to reschedule yet they still honoured just the four of us. It had humour, history and detective work. it was a perfect Introduction for our stay in Athens. highly recommend for anyone interested in something different than just sight seeing.

The event was canceled a few hours before, and i wasn’t informed. i showed up at the location, called the company and then found out.

My family of 5 attended with 3 teenage kids. This is a fun interactive experience to add on to your tours of museums and ruins.

This was a fun experience. The host was funny, engaging, and very energetic! It was really great to engage with total strangers - all of whom took the experience and participated wholeheartedly! Would highly recommend!

Wonderful time! Very well performed, very fun. Incredible singing voice. Slightly too structured perhaps? Very guided. This however would make it all the better suited for a fun night of entertainment for a couple or a family. An excellent time.

This was a really fun activity to do with my 13 year old son. The actor Michael was so funny and engaged everyone in the facade. We learned some.random facts about Athens and Greece. It was well run and silly.

It was an enjoyable and entertaining experience. The mystery was not too complicated and we heard some fun facts about Athens and Greek mythology. We think it's probably most suitable for families with children, but we (three 45+ friends) had a nice time as well.

Great one-man show. IMO it's best for ages 8-18. We brought a 6yo and 8yo. The 6yo had fun, but she was the youngest audience member that night and had a little trouble keeping up. Everyone left happy, though. The performer was engaging and thoughtful.

Great time!!! Very fun for families and all ages. Learned a lot in a very fun way. The show was a great way to learn and enjoy time together. Would recommend especially for families with kids, even teens. The actor was great and found ways to include everyone. Laughs for all ages! :)

Most enjoyable fun interactional educational and exciting fun enjoyable 1 hour , value for money and the team at living museum will go above and beyond to make your experience fun exiting. Great for all ages , all the family or solo or couples , me and my son had good time. The host is great at making the senior real and gets U thinking and training U to be observing to the task. You must book when in Athens, easy to get to.

We love live theater and are especially excited when theater is used to bring history to life. Step back in time, put your Sherlock Holmes cap on and solve the mystery of who killed Callimachos (hint: they didn't have butlers)

As a fan of whodunnits it was exceedingly fun to engage in this Poirot meets Pericles experience. Michális was very skilled at improv – adjusting to many different questions from his co-detectives. It was very engaging and a suitable challenge to figure out the motive, means, and opportunity of each subject. Speaking to Michális and Christina afterwards reignited my love of acting, and I found myself doing Iago infront of the mirror when I got home.

Really good fun if you get into it and enjoy the show. The actor is great and makes the experience really immersive, it’s clear he enjoys what he does and that makes it that much better. Thanks for giving me and my friend Jack a laugh.

The game itself was so much fun! Michael was an amazing storyteller and actor in every part he had to play. His inclusive storytelling made the experience more engaging. Highly recommend!

An absolute favourite of the family and kids aged 8-12! The performance was fun and interactive within a small group of spectators. The actor was absolutely fantastic and we would recommend this fun show to anyone! At the beginning we weren't sure what to expect but it very delivered. Bravo!

I really enjoyed this interactive Murder Mystery experience. The actor made it fun and humourous plus we learnt something about Ancient Greek culture at the same time.

The actor is very good and very funny. The plot is very interesting. The clues are insightful and the whole experience is entertaining.

This was absolutely AWESOME! My sister and I ended up being the only 2 in our time slot but we had such a great time. Yannis did an awesome job, and we were fully engaged the whole time. If you have time - this is absolutely worth it for a great laugh!!

This is a must do with friends and or family in Athens. My husband and I had the very best time. The children in the audience, all loved the experience. No child too old to attend. Our family had a lot of fun and would recommend to others who love a good who-dunnit mystery. It was a fun and interesting way to do a murder mystery. Great way to learn a little Grecian history too. A quick and fun adventure.

The actor was amazing and brought the murder mystery to life, would definitely recommend! Took us a moment to find the building, just look for the buzzer :)

This was so fun for our family, 2 kids 7 & 12 years old. Our 12 yr old LOVED it. Hilarious fun. Engaging comedic theatre fun for all. Would definitely recommend for an alternative experience. It was nice and short so you can definitely fit it into your Athens experience! Go support these guys if you like a little murder mystery game with Ancient Greek history! Perfect pre dinner activity !

So funny and madcap! An immersive one man play where you ask questions and listen to interviews to work out who the ancient Greek killer is! Fun for children and adults and we learnt a lot about ancient Greek culture too.

A highlight of our two days in Athens with our 8 year old. Michael the actor was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our hour. The venue could be tricky to spot but they met us outside. Very well thought out. Go!

I went because I had a few hours to spare, and I'm glad I did. I had a really good time solving the "murder mystery" and incidentally learned about everyday life in ancient Athens (and a bit about Thessaly). The actor was exceptional, making sure everybody had a good time, really entertaining, taking us along for the journey. It may depend on the group you happen to play with, but my group was great and we all had a lot of fun.

So fun ,great way to spend some time with this interactive event and learn some Greek history. We loved the actor who made us feel welcome and has a great sense of humor.

Very entertaining performance, our entire family (2 adults, 2 teenagers and 8y daughter) has really enjoyed it, highly recommended.

My daughter and I had a fantastic evening with our actor Michael solving the murder. A one man act which was hilarious, full of facts about Ancient Greece and highly entertaining. We were given questions for each character which was a great start but then we were given the chance to ask our own questions. Michael was amazing at listening to everyone’s ideas and then helping without giving it all away! I would highly recommend.

My wife and I attended the Ancient Greek Mystery show on February 7th, and it was indeed a memorable experience! Cozy, funny, engaging and the host was full of energy.

It was really an amazing experience! We had a lot of fun, I definitely recommend it to everyone. Lots of laughter, jokes, interesting facts from the everyday life of ancient Athenians, and most importantly - amazing acting and a great approach of the actor/host to his guests (or rather "his detectives"). The plot of the story is also very well thought out, I would gladly go back there again to solve another mystery. Definitely a must have on the list of attractions in Athens :))

We had such a fun experience on our family vacation to Athens with this murder mystery! Immediately on entering, the actor engaged us in a fun game and then he performed the play. We had a script to follow but could then ask our own questions and play detective! My teen sons had a blast when the actor invited them to perform a small part. It was a blast hosted by a really great actor and a special memory from our family trip!

One star less due to picture suggesting more than one actor (despite we had one he was brilliant - Nirkhos… if we spell name right… did superb job).

This was such a fun and different way to spend an evening in Athens. I randomly saw the sign walking around Plaka and decided to check it out. We really enjoyed the show, the acting and the engaging way to include the audience. All the nuggets of Ancient Greek society were so fascinating to learn a out to. Highly recommend!

We totally recommend this. We were in Athens and it was an excellent change of path in our visit. Everything is perfectly planned and it's really entertaining. The worker and the actor were really friendly and made the best out of the experience.

This is what to do as a family together at the end of a day of exploring museums. Our group ranged from 5 to 64 years of age. We all laughed, engaged well and really enjoyed the evening of fun and challenge. Highly recommended

This was so unexpectedly fun, we both enjoyed it, host/ solo actor was so friendly, funny, explained all was going to happen, kept us all enthralled, we both enjoyed this! Got into the spirit of it even though we only guessed half right😂🤣

This was an excellent introduction to Ancient Greek life and the host was fabulous. We had a great time working out who submit and why- and my son was engaged and working out the clues and motives and had a blast. Would do this again! Thank you we had such fun!

We had a great time at this murder mystery experience on our last night in Athens. The actor was particularly gifted at improvisation, as he answered all of our questions (my wife and I, along with our daughters, ages 11 and 13) while we tried to solve the mystery. Highly recommend! Thanks!

I came alone and it was a lot of fun. Definitely a fun interactive experience in an intimate setting. Everyone is involved and the mystery will keep you guessing. Mike was a very enthusiastic host and very welcoming!

We decided on a whim to go as a family of a 4, with a 3 year old and a 1.5 year old. To our surprise, We were the only group that had signed up and we basically had the entire event to ourselves. The Actor was very passionate and brought the story to life, he even got our 3-year-old and our 1.5 year old involved. We had a great time, would have obviously been better if we didn't have the children so we could focus more on the storyline. But nonetheless, we had a great time. We learned some historic Greek things along the way!
