Our tour guide Ami was amazing. She was quite knowledgeable about the food and its origins. We tried all authentic Greek foods and learned about the history each one. She also narrated the areas we walked through to get to each cafe. It was wonderful!
Emi was a delightful, knowledgeable guide! We strolled through the streets near Monastiraki square, stopping at 5 restaurants for large portions of classic Greek dishes. We enjoyed hearing about the food and culture, and had a great time getting to know the other people in the group. We highly recommend this tour!
The food was delicious and Jenny was great. Fun and good food. Would recommend highly. Jenny was very knowledgeable
Fotis was excellent - funny, engaging and very knowledgeable. Really enjoyed our 3 hours with him on this tour, it is a great way to appreciate the streets of Athens and get your bearings. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the organisation. Thanks Fotis!
This was a great way to get to know Athens and Greek street food! We did this activity on the first night of our stay and it set the stage for us to know what to order and what to know about the city, it's history and it's neighborhoods. Maria was a great host!
Verry nice experience, good explanation on food and history. Tasty streetfood during our tour. We were lucky with our guide Amy.
Yoita was friendly and knowledgeable, the food tour was great. The food was delicious and history was interesting.
Iota is fantastic! Very knowledgeable and had the best recommendations.
Delightful… delicious … fun fun fun !!!! And our guide Emi kept providing us with additional treats
Thank u for the experience It was really good
Amy was amazing! Tons of knowledge and very knowledgeable.
Emi was wonderful. Great amount of history and local tips. She is a joy!
Emmy was an excellent tour guide who explained the food, sights and history, and was very committed to our group having a good time and enjoying ourselves. The food was delicious and a good mix of tourist and local spots.
Was a really enjoyable tour, which was due to our tour guide. He not only explained about all the food and places we went too, but also lots of history and information about the area. Highly recommend this tour!
Emi was excellent- very friendly and informative. Very good food sampling of Greek food and authentic cuisine.
Our tour guide Emi was fantastic. She had a wealth of knowledge on not only food, but culture and history. We asked her a lot of questions and she knew her stuff. We walked through several different areas I had yet to visit, and I felt this gave us a good appreciation for the nightlife of Athens as well as food. At the end of the tour I felt like I had eaten an 8 course meal, very satisfied.
Not just food - historical and cultural information was provided. Your guide Jenny was very vivacious.
A great food tour the guide was great and very informative. The food was great and plenty of it would definitely recommend
Wish I could give this more than 5 stars. Emi was excellent, gave us extra food to try, told us some greek history , as well as other recommendations for food places. We've gone back to the places she took us to or recommended, she learnt all our names and personalised it to us. Did this on our first night in Athens and highly recommend! All around a great experience, thank you!!
Our host was amazing! I think his name was Fotis? I can’t spell it, so sorry. But he was super engaging and got to know everyone aside from teaching us about Greek culture. Lots of yummy foods!
Really fun 3 hour experience tasing lots of different Greek food and drink, with a great guide Amy. Learn lots about Greek history as well as the food. Don’t plan a meal after this, you won’t be hungry!
Amazing - fun tour - not just about "eating" but an exploration of Greek history in regards to food. Highly recommend for Yota's interesting stories and engaging personality!
Perfect combo of food culture and history, if only History class in school was like this food tour! Our guide, Emi, was truly excited to share her culture with us. We learned about daily life in Athens (in particular coffee culture), how over the centuries other cultures have influenced the cuisine, and how to say cheers in Greek (which I ended up getting as a souvenir tattoo - Emi helped me find a reputable local tattoo shop that took walk ins).
Emi was our guide. She did an exceptional job of leading the group, informing us of Greek culture and history, and introducing us to some great new Greek food and drink. One of the things I valued was her easygoing nature and not being at all pushy. She gave my wife and I a great dinner recommendation which we tried and absolutely loved. We recommend this tour.
Jenny was fantastic!! I highly revoked this tour. It was informative as well as filling. All of the food we had was delicious and satisfying. As previous reviews say- do not eat prior to going. You will also learn about the city and interesting facts.
Had an amazing time eating and enjoying Athens. Our guide, Gioda, she was very welcoming and generous with her suggestions. I appreciated the added history talks she included; that was the best part to me!
This is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Athens getting to learn about the city, culture and food. Jenny was fantastic and answered so many questions about the history of Greece, its regions and food/wine. We love food tours is this was top 3 best we’ve experienced. Definitely recommend.
You won’t leave hungry after the food tour with Emi! We liked the variety of stops and couldn’t finish our food by the end, however we felt that there could have been a bit more information about the city of Athens, explaining the squares and history a bit more (maybe we were hoping it was more of a city tour that happened to include food, but this was definitely just a food tour and was delicious nonetheless). Emi did a great job explaining the foods, keeping us all on track, and was upbeat and positive throughout.
Our guide was Jenny, we loved her! She was knowledgeable, fun and had a real love for Greece and the food that comes across in her tour. 10/10 would recommend.
Three savory and three sweet stops centered in syntagma sq to Monstriaki area. Learned lots of Greek food info along the way. Recommend this tour
We had a lot of fun with the people in our group. Emi was fun, informative and engaging. I realized today that one of the places we visited was one I had bookmarked, I just didn't realize it at the time. I would 100% recommend thos tour.
Bring an empty stomach and a good pair of shoes. This tours combines great food and history as well!
The guide was informative and entertaining. We just came off a 9 day Greek cruise and the food we had on this walking tour was the best we have had during our entire trip.
Amazing tour with excellent food! Our guide Giota was excellent - she provided cultural and historical information during the tour to help us better understand what makes Greece so unique. We ate a lot!!
Giota was spectacular. So sweet and informative.
Enjoyable informative tour with very engaging guide
Our guide, Ami, was incredible! She was so personable. The food and the experience was amazing!
This was fantastic and the guide, Emi, was wonderful. She shared a lot of i do about the area, food and history. Tip - go VERY hungry or do not feel that you have to finish each thing because it is ALOT. There is not a lot of walking in between food offerings so you don’t get to walk it off. The food was really really good though. Yum!
Our group experience was amazing. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and engaging. It was a great experience.
This was the perfect way for us to start our visit to Athens! Our tour guide, whose name I cannot remember now :(... Maybe it was Jenny?? Anyway, she was so great. Her English was perfect and she was easy to understand. She talked about history in the city in addition to the yummy food we tried. We had two types of bougatsa (one spinach, one cheese), amazing souvlaki in a pita (you had your choice of pork, beef/lamb, mushroom) and beer or wine, Greek pizza, loukoumades (donut holes) two ways -- with honey and then with chocolate, orange cake with pistachio ice cream. It was a lot of delicious food with a knowledgeable guide. I'm so glad we did it!
Jenny was a fantastic food guide and made our Athens food tour such a brilliant experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable, bubbly and friendly, and brought the food, history and culture of Athens to life. We enjoyed some amazing Greek food along the way, with Jenny explaining the stories and traditions behind what we were tasting. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and she also gave us some great recommendations for places to eat and explore during the rest of our stay. A fantastic tour with an excellent guide — highly recommended! 🇬🇷🍴
My mom and I booked this tour as the first thing we did in Athens. We were not even checked in to hotel yet. We found our guide, Jennifer, easily and check in was a breeze. Jennifer was awesome. We got so much more information than just about food! We learned a lot, had delicious food, and left stuffed! She also gave us recommendations for coffee later, and it did not disappoint!
This was a wonderful introduction to Greek food and Anthens. Well worth the money.
A wonderful experience of foods and knowledge
Amazing tour, tasty food, and very knowledgeable guide - Γιώτα. We highly recommend this tour!
This was fun, the host was knowledgeable, witty and willing to answer any questions we had. It was an joy
Maria was wonderful, highly recommend this tour
A lot of food is consumed. Come hungry and dont plan to eat again that day. Could have done a bit more walking to work of calories consumed.
Overall worthwhile tour. Our guide Amy had a great personality and made the tour fun and informative.
