Athens Scuba Diving Experience For Divers

Amazing Service ! I was looking for a scuba diving center that could take out a solo diver an a bit off season , they picked me up from my Hotel in Athens , and drove to the dive shop to get fitted for wetsuit and gear . Then we drove to the dive site to do the shore dive . My dive instructor was Danae and she was amazing and helped me get readjusted since it was a few months since my last dive . Great experience and service was excellent from Her and the whole shop. Best experience for anyone new or returning to Athens who would like accommodations from the city center. Also amazing photography work from her end !

We have a great experience. I took the trip with my adult son. Danae was a wonderful divemaster. She was professional and friendly. The dive was explained to us well, so we were prepared for everything that we experienced. We felt extremely safe with Extreme Divers, and if I return to Greece, this company would be my number one choice. Danae picked us up at our hotel, and all the equipment was ready to go. The entry from Limanaka Beach did involve a slight hike, so you'll need to be steady on your feet with the gear for this one. The rock in Greece can be a little slippery, so caution is advised. However, everything was explained to us in advance, and our divemaster ensured we were ready for the walk to the entry point. The company will even take photos of you during the dive and email them to you. So you don't have to worry about bringing your camera gear if you don't want to. One less thing to pack.

Dive was fine (expensive for a single dive), one of our group got injured right before the dive, slipping down the slope with the heavy gear. They told us to contact the office for partial refund...and that's when I got ghosted. Well, here you go.

Where do I even begin. This place is absolutely OUTSTANDING. All of the staff are SO friendly, accommodating, flexible, and kind. They were willing to accommodate almost every request and were completely happy to answer any of my questions. I never felt like a bother or stupid and they were always extremely helpful. They made me feel like a friend, which was a refreshing break from most agencies which just make you feel like another tourist. These people really do care about you and making your individual experience special. Even with the friendly approach, they were extremely professional and there was no point I felt unsafe. I'm also a beginner diver, and they did a wonderful job of helping me to feel welcome and safe. It can be hard going on your first dive because making a mistake can be so paralyzing, but with them I never felt embarrassed or upset. They created an environment that empowered me to learn from my mistakes. The dive itself was also beautiful and we saw so much wildlife!! Danae, our guide, was excellent at pointing out all of the features and creatures that I otherwise might not have noticed (we saw an octopus)!! And they took wonderful pictures as well which was included in the price. Super awesome plus. All in all this was an amazing experience, especially for me as a beginner. They even recommended me dinner places and drove me there for free, just because it was close by. These people will seriously make you feel like family and are absolutely incredible. I can't say enough how much I recommend this place, and I will definitely be going back. Best diving EVER !!

Evan and Danae were so helpful and really made everything so easy. I did the advanced course with them, and felt very safe with knowing I had a knowledgable and experienced dive buddy. We went to 30m in a sink hole which was amazing, would recommend anyone to go diving with them, new to diving or wanting to expand their experience.

Danae was a terrific dive master. She picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the water. We took a speedboat to two different dive sites. The second one had a shipwreck. She did a great job leading the dive. And it was a lovely surprise that she took tons of photos and videos of us during the dives so that we have a great record of the experience. I would dive with her again. Also, a bonus: our teenagers absolutely loved the fast speedboat ride on the Aegean Sea on our way back to the harbor.

Fantastic dive crew and dive operation. Pickup was on time and Evan and Emma took care of everything. Will dive with them again they next time I’m in Athens. Would highly recommend anyone book with them.

Super helpful, knowledgable and friendly staff! This was our first real dive and we felt super comfortable. Equipment was in great condition.

Oh my gosh, what lovely experience! My husband and I are decently experienced divers but we haven't gone diving in a few years. Denae was so patient and personable,making sure we remembered everything and assisting with gear. George at the shop was so friendly, you can tell they both love what they do. We had an awesome dive...Denae pointed out all kinds of critters we never would have seen, and we saw an octopus! Afterwards they suggested an awesome restaurant with an incredible view of the city and even dropped us off. Can't say enough good things about this operation!

The dive master went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this experience.

Great day from start to finish. From getting picked up then fitted for our gear we were off to the Blue Hole for an awesome dive. After the dive we took a nice drive along the sunny coastline to see the Temple of Poseidon. Very cool. It was also nice to get video and pictures to remember our special day. Thanks to George and everyone else at Extreme Divers for an unforgettable time.

Nick was our guide we did a refresher course at a lake near the blue hole and then the dive at the blue hole. Nick was amazing! Super fun and informative making the experience spectacular such a great experience. Highly recommend!

A great experience. This was a first dive after completing PADI Open Water Course 10 months earlier. Evan, the dive master, gave a very detailed brief of the dive beforehand and made sure I felt safe and comfortable. Evan has very professional and knowledgeable approach which I appreciated very much as I have been extreme sports instructor in my previous life and can spot a qualified pro when I see one. The scuba equipment was in very good shape and good quality. Evan took pictures and videos through-out the dive and sent them to me few days after the dive. Evan also gave some tips how to spend some time in Athens, and we had a very interesting conversation of current affairs in our respective countries as well. Evan also offered to drop me off to the metro station so I could make my way back to Athens center. Simply a great experience!

I cannot say enough good things about George and Evan. From the ease of scheduling the dive with George to the fresh pastries Evan bought for us when he picked us up a tour hotel in the morning. Everything was perfect! George and Evan are both very knowledgeable, professional and kind. It was my first dive in 5 years. I was with my two sons, and it was their first dive since completing their Padi Certifications. The dive was both adventurous and fun. It was our first time in Athens and if/when we go back, we will be definitely using Extreme Divers again.

Extreme divers was very good and safe. The dive site itself was a little rocky and it’s a good walk up and down uneven rocky terrain with all the dive gear as it’s a shore dive to the Blue Hole. Our guide was very attentive to make sure we were safe. If you have hypertension bring a Drs note to assure you are well to dive. We also stopped at Poseidons temple which was an added cost but a wild drive down the coast, BEAUTIFUL day all around! Nice hotel pickup and drop off as well. Thx!!

I highly recommend Extreme Divers to any scuba divers heading to Athens. The name turned me off initially as I am not extreme in any way and am a beginner diver but they were so quickly responsive to my emails that I decided to book the dives. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and very in tune with the experience level of each diver on our boat and was able to somewhat personalize the dive for each experience level which was awesome. George (one of the owners) is an absolute gentleman and very knowledgeable of Greek history which made the experience so much better for us history nerds. They make the logistics of diving so easy from pickup to equipment handling to drop off at the end of the day. No stress at all. I will definitely be back!

We don't get to dive anywhere near as often as we'd like. So, my wife and I (PADI Open Water qualified) jumped at the chance of a couple of dives in Athens. Everything was made incredibly easy. we were collected and dropped off right at the door of our hotel. The staff at the dive centre we all super friendly and knowledgeable and we had 2 really enjoyable dives. Highly recommend these guys to anyone that wants to dive when you;re in Athens.

Wonderful day! Amalia is a wonderful instructor and travel mate! George, who runs the business, is very kind, too. He offered me a solo dive with Amalia at Vougliamani and a drive to Poseidon Temple at Cap Sounion for €120.

George and Evan are great. Everything was communicated very well in advanced via Email. Location of the Dive Center was easy reachable by Taxi. They also offer pick up services. Diving equipment was in a very good condition, everything worked perfectly. They also take pictures and videos during the dive. Thanks a lot ! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is in Athens.

This was a great dive. With all the obstacles during these times. They made the effort to get me a dive in with short notice. My only recommendation is to schedule it in advance if possible.

Awesome dives! Equipment in great condition! Luxurious boat! Could be also combined with Poseidon’s temple at Sounio and acquire cultural interest. I definitely recommend this dive shop.

These guys were great. They spoke very good English and were really informative, helpful and reassuring. I felt totally safe at all times. The equipment was top notch. The boat trips out and back were really good fun - smooth and quick. If you fancy a dive in Athens I wholeheartedly recommend these guys.

We had a great time diving with Evan. It has been a while since we last dove and he was very patient while we got reacquainted with diving. The blue hole was amazing and visibility was great! We would definitely use Extreme Divers again if we are in Athens.

I had a couple days to kill in Athens so I emailed Extreme Divers very last minute to see if they could get me in on a dive. Sure, enough they emailed me right away to let me know I could head out to experience the famous “Blue Hole”, which is a well-like structure that descends 30 Meters down to the sea floor (though we only went down 20). The hole was an incredible sight and so fun to explore, would be very easy for beginner dives as it is spacious and surprisingly well lit inside. The dive also included a lovely swim along the reef where we saw an octopus, fish, worms, and many sea urchins. I get cold very easily but the water temperature wasn’t bad at all, I felt comfortable in just the provided shorty wetsuit. It was a spectacular dive! Evan picked me up at my hotel in the morning (for an extra fee) in a vehicle clearly marked with Extreme Divers on the side, and he was so professional and informative all day. He even drove us around to see some of the cool sights near where we were diving! The equipment was all in excellent condition and I felt very comfortable diving with these outfitters, definitely recommend to newbies and veteran divers alike!

Spent an amazing half-day diving with Evan and my new dive buddy, Polly. Dived a blue hole and lovely wall (octopus, sea urchins, many fishes)...visibility was most excellent! Learned much about Greece along the way, and as is true of the best Dive Masters, Evan taught me practices to make diving safer, and more enjoyable!!! Thanks again for an extraordinary adventure, Evan & Polly!!!

Evan and George are both amazing persons. I had the pleasure to dive with Evan as my instructor. I booked the dive 2 days before and they prepared every single thing so both me and my sister will feel extra comfortable. Even though my sister didn't manage to dive, Evan made sure she will be safe and secured in the shore. I highly recommend to use their services, they are highly professional, but moreover they have a huge hearth! Thank you for your service!

Great dive at "fleves", everything was perfect, the guys are very professional, explanatory and also fun! The equipment was brand new and the dive site was absolutely amazing. Will come back as soon as possible.

I arranged for a dive while in Canada, at the end of a sea cruise. From the very beginning, the dive shop was very professional. I was concerned with the conditions and their equipment. The dive Master was extremely helpful and responded quickly. The dive was not off a dive boat, but from the shore, something a little different for me, but Evan, the dive master was quite experienced, and we put the BCD/tank on in the water. I had a real challenge equalizing, and was going to cancel the dive, but Evan helped me to slowly descend, and it all worked out. For me the dive was great, its was on my bucket list to dive in the Mediterranean, the last sea/ocean on my list. Evan (the dive master) was an extremely skilled, helpful and fun guy. While quite professional he was full of information about the local conditions and had been diving for many years. He conducts many more complex dives, but it was the end of season and I was lucky to be able to find him.

I took diving lessons for the first time in my life. Everything was amazing, both the equipment and the instructors. I recommend it to anyone who is interested.

Great experience! In advance I warned the company that my wife and I have not dived in 3 years and are therefore very inexperienced. Extreme Divers was very understanding and assured us that we would be well taken care of! From the hotel we were picked up exactly the time we had agreed and we were received by Danae! One of the best tutors we have had! Incredibly friendly, educational and nice! At their dive center we were welcomed by George who told us about their business and did everything to make us feel welcome! Then it was off to the dive site, a beach about 30 minutes from their dive club. Danae helped us with all the equipment and in the water we went through some exercises to repeat the most important things. Then it was off into the water! The dive was in 40 minutes and we were taken down to 10 meters depth with amazing sights, even an octopus we got to see! After that Danae offered to drive us to Poseidon's Temple for a small extra cost and then back to Athens city center! Thank you so much for a fantastic experience! You made our whole vacation in Athens!
