Athens Greece Full Day Private Tour

We had an amazing day exploring Athens with our driver, Michael. He showed us all the city’s highlights and thoughtfully planned the day to help us avoid the crowds. He even made sure we arrived at the airport on time for our evening flight. We couldn’t recommend VIP Tours Athens more highly!

Our guide Apostolos was awesome! We knew we wanted to visit the Acropolis and have some great authentic food (he took us to the BEST) but he also took us to the highest hill to see 360 views. He also showed us a great place to shop and get some drinks to take back with us to the rental. He was so great and made our day fantastic!

Our driver Apostolis was excellent. Provided us with great information and was flexible in the itinerary. We got to see so much of Athens in one day.

We had a wonderful day in Athens with our driver and guide. I highly recommend this tour for families with teenagers or kids. We all enjoyed the air conditioning car and it was a nice blend of walking/driving. The tour covers a lot of information but our guide was great at explaining everything. I was also happy to see most of the important things in Athens in one day since we had a limited timeframe in Athens. Thanks again for a wonderful tour.

We were a party of three and, used VIP Tours Athens for a full day tour of Athens. From the outset communication with the company was fantastic. We had the option to purchase tickets to all the locations we were visiting the day or, VIP Tours would take care of this on our behalf, we opted for the latter as, again, it just made it far easier for us knowing that everything was taken care of. Our driver, Michael, was just amazing from start to finish. He arrived slightly earlier than expected to collect us from our hotel but, we were under no pressure to rush. Michael was chatty, personable, very knowledgeable and, we felt completely safe with him. We communicated via WhatsApp throughout the day which, worked very well. The car was perfect, fully air conditioned which, was needed as it was an extremely hot day but, again, Michael was on hand thought out the day with bottles of cold water which, was very much needed. We would recommend VIP Tours to anyone visiting the area and, if we were to return, we wouldn’t hesitate in using them again.

The whole experience was wonderful. The customer service staff was very helpful and accommodating. Our driver George Michelakis was amazing. He was informative, insightful and made our tour memorable.

I can’t say enough how amazing our driver George was. He was not only very professional but also very friendly and gave us so much information throughout the journey. We took two separate tours with him and he made the experience even more special and amazing. Would definitely recommend VIP tours.

Outstanding day with George our driver with a luxury van. Very professional service including our personal tourguide Mariza which educated our 8 year old daughter about all the ancient Greek gods. A truly unforgettable experiencence.

We had George Dimitrakskis…he picked us up at the airport and took us all around Athens. )We arrived early morning…he knew we needed coffee…and toured around all day!!! We even booked him for the following day for a trip to Temple of Poseidon. He knew all the best places to stop along the way!!! Already recommended George to a close friend. Very easy to find him and we communicate with WhatsApp when needed. The Mercedes E-Class was comfortable and very nice. We had a family of 4. Michael was able to take us to many, many sights throughout Athens. We stopped at a few amazing photo spots, had coffee and a snack, visited Acropolis and the museum, see the changing of the guard, etc. He told us many amazing details of the city and Greece also. You could feel the pride he had in his city and country. Michael was even able to accommodate our last minute request for Greek food and the food was super tasty. Our driver looked after us from beginning to end. Took us to beautiful photo spots, co ordinated a visit to see to ‘ Changing of the Guard’ (amazing to watch), found a gorgeous restaurant to have lunch after our Museum visit, took us to the Acropolis and really looked after us with iced water (35 degree day), etc. We highly recommend VIP Tours. Had a wonderful full day Tour of Athens exceptional driver Michael in a very nice car and always ready with a cold bottle of water. We asked for a private tour guide Katarina was so great she knew every great spot and so much information so much knowledge. We asked to try Gyro as we hadn’t had traditional street food great spot in the square highly recommend this company and their staff…. Ask for the best combo Michael and Katarina.

Just did a full day tour. The guide was awesome, on time, no lines. Overall the guide did a great job. We would definitely do it again!!

This company did a super job of flexibly working with us on our plane arrival and drop off at the end. We saw everything we wanted to and it was so convenient to be dropped off exactly in front of each site! The vans were first class and very comfortable. This was a fantastic way to see Athens! The office staff did a great job of making sure we knew exactly where to meet and what to expect. They were very good with getting us tickets to the various venues!

I had an amazing experience from booking with the company and day spent with my driver Alex. A must for any solo traveller looking to get around the city with ease. Alex was very professional and knowledgeable about each site that we visited and offered tips to make the experience better. He recommend an amazing restaurant for lunch that made authentic Greek food, which was delightful. Thanks Alex you were amazing!

A lot of money for a "Chauffeur". Dropped us at the sites, very little information about any of the area. Only answered when asked what things were. Would not recommend.

We had a great time. Saw as much has you can see in a day and had a great local lunch as well. We would do it again.

Good driver with excellent knowledge of local area. Nice car. Very pragmatic in allowing us to do what we wanted to do. Would recommend using the service to anyone. We had a day to kill in Athens pre an evening flight out of Greece so zipped around the town to see the major sites, had some great local food and took a leisurely drive to airport afterwards. Only comment I would make being we did this on a Sunday when traffic was at the lows.. if you did it on a Saturday or mid week the central city driving maybe harder.

Our guide had great energy and was so knowledgeable about everything. He perfectly customized the trip to fit our needs!

Best driver Nontas! He picked us up after our cruise at the port 30 minutes before schedule, he was amazing took us all around Athens and explained every detail about the city! Took us to an amazing lunch at a Greek place, we had an amazing time with him! You should get in touch with them and book as soon as you can for the best experience! Themis is one of the friendliest people I met in all of Greece. Themis and his crew will make sure that everything is right for you during you tour. All you have to do is be friendly and ask! We were picked up and greeted very warmly at the Athens airport and driven straight to Nafplio. Everywhere we went is somewhere this company has been before, they really are experts and know all the ways around Greece if you are anxious you really never need to worry about getting lost with these guys. Themis answered all my questions that I had about Greece including a huge range of things from the types of olives grown on certain farms to the type of music that has come out of modern Greece. While we were on the trip it was extremely hot and the vehicles on the tour were all beautifully kept with A/C plus coolers with drinks for guests to keep the mediterranean sun on the outside of your tour. Anything you need can be accommodated by Themis, whether it be somewhere to eat, to stay, a museum to visit, if they are not sure of something they most definitely know someone who does and will get them to you. Much like other small businesses in Greece you can make your trip as good as you want to. Treat them like family and you will get treated as such back. I am truly thankful for this experience and am dying to go back! ... Oh i forgot to mention the sight seeing you say??? Its ancient freakin Greece. Everything is amazing. Just make a list of things you want to see. "Ruins? Museums? Food?" You can look things up if you want but they really have you covered!
