Anastasia and eirini k ( I’m so sorry if I got the names wrong g) were amazing tour guides. So patient and informative. I loved how Anastasia brought us into the story to feel like we were apart of it. It was a really hot day so it would have been nice to have the bus air a little cooler but we had fans so it worked out.

Itinerary
The Athens full-day tour passes by the Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896.
Proceed, passing by Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus. You will then drive past the Athens Trilogy which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Old Parliament, Constitution Square ,Russian Orthodox Church, and finally Acropolis (including also Parthenon, Erechtheion, Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Areopagus). Stroll up to the UNESCO-listed site that served as the ancient citadel, and tour the buildings as you hear how they reflected Athens’ prosperity in the 5th century BC.
Continue the expert guided Athens sightseeing and Acropolis museum one day tour with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater, in order to visit the Acropolis Museum. Avoid and skip the lines of the new museum. Main attractions such as votives, statues from archaic period, Caryatids, and of course the Parthenon hall with the metopes, the pediments and the frieze will impress you.
After a morning tour full of images continue in a local restaurant under the slopes of Acropolis for lunch. Then, the tour departs for a wonderful drive along the scenic coastal road which affords a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf, passing through some of Athens most beautiful suburbs (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza) to Cape Sounion. Cape Sounion is only 45 miles (70 kilometers) from Athens, making it the perfect lazy afternoon tour destination. Your expert archaeologist escort will dive you into the history, the myths and the legends of the temple which was built here in 44 B.C. on a hilltop overlooking the sea. It was dedicated to Poseidon, god of the seas. As the sun dips below the horizon, take a final look at this breathtaking scene. Entering the archaeological site, you will have one-hour free time to enjoy the remaining of the temple and the breathtaking views over the Aegean sea. The tour will conclude with a drive back to Athens, completing a full day of history and beauty.

Irene K was amazing, super knowledgeable and energetic. She has a deep understanding of history, and is very kind. Kept us at a good pace so we could see everything. She also took us to a great local spot for lunch.
We had a great day touring Athens with an excellent guide. His knowledge, expertise and humor made the day most enjoyable.
Good for a solo traveler to join a group. The drive to Temple of Poseidon is a bit over an hour. If you have limited time, it may be best to stay in Athens.
Great full day tour! Our guide Anastasia was amazing. Her knowledge on all the historical things was great.Lunch was tasty and authentic.Coast drive was relaxing and beautiful.
Amazing mind blowing experience to climb up that hill and get up close and personal view of Parthenon. No words can describe that feeling. Had a very good certified guide from Keyy Tours who was extremely knowledgeable and shared every bit of info of the place.
Anastasia was our tour guide and she did a fantastic job! She gave us so much information about Greece, Athens, and the wonderful historical sites that we visited. Her energy level was Amazing and her knowledge was outstanding! She took the time to ask each of us individually if we had questions throughout the day.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable about Greek history and mythology. Cape Sounion is really incredible. One issue was they did not drop us back off at our hotel. It was supposed to be the Attalos hotel and they dropped us off at Omonoia Square. It’s like three blocks but it was raining so that kinda sucked. Otherwise good
I arrived at the tour office 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled time and checked in. The lady said that they will call everyone in about 2 minutes. The office was very busy and extremely hot. No aircon was on. I said i would wait outside. A few minutes later a staff member called for the Athens city tour and I thought that could not be me as I am on the Athens full day tour of the Acropolis, museum, lunch and Cape Sounion. I waited for about 5 minutes and then went inside and asked when my tour was leaving. Turns out that everyone was waiting on the bus for me. Anyway the first half of the tour was good. The tour bus did not stop at the Olympic stadium as advertised. When i questioned this i was told that the tour busses are no longer allowed to stop there and they didn't have time to change the information. The guide was very knowledgeable and it was very interesting. Lunch was a disappointment. I ordered the chicken Gyros. It arrived with 2 tiny pieces of pita and the chicken was very dry. The afternoon trip to Cape Sounion was not good. The guide was not very knowledgeable and was simply reading from a script. Waste of time in my view. Overall not worth the money and time.
Learned a lot, would never be able to see all of this without the guides. They were vey knowledgeable and quite friendly
Definitely recommend if you have limited time in Athens. Tour guide very knowledgeable. Tour hits all the must sees in one day and provides a great lunch mid day.
Very good experience. The guides were super friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend to book with them.
Hotel pick up is a standard practice. However the hotel drop off service was a super bonus which I haven’t encountered with other tour groups in other countries. It was a very pleasant tour, lovely tour guide and delicious lunches.
Guide was professional, very knowledgeable and provided background and context for each site. Museum was really interesting and well presented.
Walking up to the Acropolis. Simply Amazing! Athens is so rich with history. So very fortunate to be able to visit this area.
Our tour guide Anastasia is the best !!! She made a difference ….she is knowledgeable , professional and caring ….thank you so much Anastasia for a great tour day in Athens !
Enjoyed the Acropolis and Museum. Tour Director was excellent. Was a little disappointed in the lunch.
Wonderful tour highly recommend it, Acropolis a wonderful lunch and the temple of Poseidon by the Aegean sea made for an unforgettable day!
We missed the pick up at 8am. We asked if we could just meet up with the group and we’re told no. $200 down the drain. Not happy. Customer service person was so rude.
They confirmed hotel pick up but did come our hotel receipt tried to help us to contend your company they said they changed pick up in different place last minutes they did send us email or message we very upset they tell us contact Viator organised refund when we go back to Australia what joy we wasted our time of tour can Viator tell what kind business they run I use to have confident book all tours before I am not sure in future ? Bs please organise my refund as soon as you my family so upset with tour shall trust Viator’s tour? Paulo Lay
The visits to Acropolis and Acropolis Museum were excellent. The tour guide Katarina provided a xcellent commentary. The trip to cape Sounion took more time than it was worth. The lunch was unremarkable and, again, took too long. It would have been better to combine museum and Acropolis into a single tour and end there.
We had Anastasia as a guide and she was so knowledgeable and attentive! She was kind and courteous and considerate of the group. It was a very long day for sure, so keep that in mind when booking. We did get charged €45 a person for the Acropolis and I'm not sure why, as tickets are €20 there and we didn't get anything extra. We did feel like lunch should have been before the museum, as we were getting very tired and hungry by then and the day started to drag. The museum was guided, which I didn't think was necessary, as they made it so much longer. Overall it was a wonderful packed full day tour.
Dimitrius was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and quick to evaluate the say to make the most of all the historical places we toured. We loved the Acropolis, the acropolis museum and the bus ride to Sounion for the Temple of Poseidon. The scenery was gorgeous! We highly recommend this tour as a good first day tour of Athens!
Tour operator did not pick us up at hotel as they said they would. When called they said they changed the pickup place and said they sent an email. We assume the email was sent while we were in flight as we didn’t receive an email. However, we did receive another notice from them that said they would pick us up from our hotel. We asked if we could take a cab to where the tour was and join it but they would not let us. Said it was our fault, even though they sent a reminder the day of the event indicating they would pick us up here. Refused to refund. We would not use Key Tours again and would like Viator to reimburse us.
Visiting the Acropolis and Acropolis museum. The meal was a reasonable one but after the morning visits in the heat the visit to Cape Sounion to see the Temple of Poseidon was just too long to do in one day.
Our guide, Demetrius was very knowledgeable about the sites and history. Can't ask for better. The tour could be bit too long but got nice rest during the ride to the temple of Poseidon.
I messaged via WhatsApp the time and location of my pickup and they told me (and I still have the message) that the pick up was from 8-8:30 at my hotel lobby. The day of the tour (about 30 minutes before pick up) they message me saying I have to meet them somewhere else. At 8:01am I call them and they say they have left and won’t pick me up because I was suppose to be at the other hotel before 8am. I had to pay for a taxi and drive to the pick up center even after I begged them to help. Very rude, very condescending and yes I will tell everyone about my horrible experience.
Guide was goodbut acropolis was crowded and she needed to have a tall sign to follow her with. Also speakers broke up a lot.
The tour and the guide, Anastasia, were great. I appreciated Anastasia keeping us moving in the extreme heat and pointing out shady areas. I opted to not participate in the cape sounion portion due to the schedule change & the extreme heat.
The excursion was really nice. Anastasia, our guide, was fantastic. Seriously one of the best guides I’ve had in the 2 weeks I was in Europe. However the office where you meet the tour in the morning was complete chaos. Unorganized , and chaotic. We went to the Olympic stadium, followed by the acropolis, the acropolis museum, lunch at a nice restaurant called the Arkadian (or arkadia) followed by a visit to the temple of Poseidon. Be aware if you book thru Viator , they’ll still charge you 45 euros there for the entry tickets.
Wonderful experience. Our guide, Anastasia was wonderful. Loved our first, in person, introduction to greek mythology and culture
The monuments in the history of Anthens was great, but key tour wasn’t to flexible most of the people that traveled in the group weren’t too Thrilled , at the end I was dropped off back at the point of pick up which is the key tour office I asked if they can call me and my wife a taxi to take us back to our hotel I was told to go to the other side of the avenue and find a cab I was disappointed when it’s our first time in Athens I’m not familiar with the area so I was on my own.
Even with the pouring rain, Acropolis is beautiful. The drive to Cape Sunion for the temple of Poseidon was our favorite.
Great experience and a wonderful tour guide on this guided tour of Athens including the Acropolis. It’s a lot of walking and crowds but worth it.
Maria was a wonderful guide - wonderful sense of humor. Better to do the full day tour so you see Poseidon temple too.
We had a great day! Demetrius was a very patient and knowledgeable guide. We did the full day tour starting at the Acropolis, then the Acropolis Museum. After that we had lunch which was absolutely delicious and then we drove out to the temple of Poseidon. We made many friends and leaned many things. Thank you Demetrius!!
An informative tour of the Acropolis and Athens. The guide was very knowledgeable. Thank you very much!
There was miscommunication between wife and I and tour leader that may have been avoided if "whispers" were operational. (Microphone problems) Due to disability it was often hard to keep up with group and sometimes felt left out. It seemed the tour needed an assistant as group was too large.
Our tour guide Anastasia was wonderful took great care of us but she had 41 people in the group! There was NO way for her to keep track of all of us!!! At one point a group of people got stuck behind another tour group and couldn’t hear her anymore and didn’t know where she was for quite a while! Then at the end we all met her where she told us to and she was missing one person! She called someone and sent us ahead to the bus to see that missing person was on the bus and the driver never told the guide that she was there! So that whole ordeal made us ha half an hour late for all further tours and lunch!
It was great the tour got us to the acropolis before the crowds. Great full day experience. Our guide Anastasia was very nice but she spoke so slow that I had a hard time keeping my attention. She walked slowly and I felt like our group was constantly bumping into one another. I wish she would stop and talk and then walk at full pace instead of a slow meandering with constant stops that had us all tripping over each other.
First it seemed a bit pricey, but we very much enjoyed the tour. Our guide Dimitri was excellent. One of the most knowledgeable guide I know.
I do not like to leave negative feedback but I found this tour way too long with too much idle time during the lunch break. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic however I feel he could have given us the most interesting facts for each venue instead of an endless monologue. (Sorry to be negative.) Also, there was an issue for me getting to the designated pick up point, but despite 3 messages sent to the organiser, no on responded to me, other than with a formulaic generic reply. I thought that by paying this amount of money, the tour would be sensational, but I’m afraid it wasn’t.
Our guide was very thorough in sharing his knowledge about the history of Athens and its environs. Pickup and drop off at our hotel was on time and convenient.
Anastasia was an excellent guide. We with her for the whole day tour of Athens. Very knowledgeable of all the places we visited. I learned so much about your beautiful city.
Pick was nearly 30 minutes late. Bus ride for 5 minutes then sat for another 30 minutes in the bus with no information about what was happening. Then spent an hour on the bus driving around basically doing drive by on semi worthwhile sites. Got to acropolis more than an hour later than we should have then battled the crowds which included many cruise ship tours which had actually beaten us to the site even though they had to come from Piraeus ! We gave up on the rest of the tour we had paid for incl. lunch and the 'evening' part of the tour because there was no prospect of anything more than more delays and disorganisation
Everything was amazing. The tour guide was personable and extremely knowledgeable about Athens and its history. I would do it again.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We went with the tour in English and our guide was Demetrius. Demetrius was a very indepth and knowledgeable guide. He gave a full and indepth history of the landmarks and sites visted with lots of interesting facts and information. We came from NZ and opted for the full day, we got to see the original Olympic stadium, the Acropolis/Parthenon, Athina Nike Temple, The Acropolis Museum, and Poseidons temple (with a few other landmarks in between) the tour of the Museum was in depth and enjoyable. The drive to Cape Sounion was beautiful as well as Poseidons temple and the surrounding area. I definitely recommend the full day tour, lunch is included in the price and you can get some delicious Gyro's from one of the local restaurants. Very glad we went with this Tour.
I didn’t know the full day tour would be such a long day, but it was worth it. Got to see so much & met some nice people! The tour guide was wonderful, took her time with places & information but was still fast paced. It was a wonderful experience that I would do again!
Please pay attention: The tour company is collecting 40 euros for each individual in addition to the price you paid to book this trip. They said that if. We don’t pay we won’t se the museum, the acropolis and the other site. So it ended up 170+ for each person. 😳
Our tour guide Dimitri was very knowledgeable and worked tirelessly to make sure we saw every site and knew about the history of everything.
