We had an amazing time with our guide Aggelos! Really fun to see the city from bikes, and bike path that leads out to the Agean. Highly recommend :)
Fun ride made so easy by the e bikes. We saw a lot of Athens and enjoyed free time by the sea. Lots of interesting info from our great guide Dimitris. Definitely recommend.
Stephanie, our tour guide, was amazing. She was warm, friendly, and personable. She helped us learn the Greek language and culture while exploring the city. It was very cold and she even offered her jacket to one of our riders. She stopped to let us take pictures, kept us on schedule, and kept us safe while exploring. I’d highly recommend Stephanie and this bike tour.
George was a great guide. He was knowledgeable about the area.
Angelos was an excellent guide. He has a great sense of humor and is very knowledgeable of the area. In addition, he always made sure we were all together. Highly recommend this tour. It’s a fantastic way to see the city.
Fantastic tour with Dimitris. Good bikes and a great route that introduces you to much more of Athens: you cycle through the suburbs and down to the sea as well as the city centre. Lots of stops along the way where Dimitris shared stories, insights, and information in a very engaging way (and in perfect English) Overall you get a better understanding of modern life in Athens as well as some of the historical highlights. Don’t be worried about cycling in Athens: the route is well chosen (lots of cycle paths) and Dimitris was a careful as well as fun guide. Strongly recommend
We had the best day today being guided by Stephanie. She has a great personality and has a wealth of knowledge to share. This was the BEST way we could have ended our time in Greece. We leave with fond memories. If you have Stepahnie kn your tour...you're in for a fun time 😉❣️😄
Fantastic day, Stephanie was our guide, she was knowledgeable, she guided us safely around the city and out to the coast to a fantastic swim and coffee spot. Great value for money
From start to finish, this was a remarkable bike tour. I do a bike tour almost every time I travel to a new city (especially when in different countries). Athens by Bike was professional and our guide, Kleanthis, was knowledgeable, friendly, and an exceptional bicycle tour guide. We hot to explore the historic and remarkably beautiful city of Athens. Highly recommend this company and our tour guide.
Very fun experience. Rena is a super energetic and trustworthy guide.
We really enjoyed the seaside e-bike tour with Kostas. Kostas was a very pleasant guide. It was a relaxed ride to the coast with time for a swim—a wonderful, different perspective on Athens. On the way back, we fueled up with the best *bougatsa* we’ve ever had. We gained great insights into the Athenian way of life and got ideas for further exploring the city. Thank you, Kostas—it was a wonderful tour Ulrike and Michael
It was a beautiful Day !!! The guide Kostas is Very kind . Thank you so much 😊
The Athens City and Sea was a wonderful way to see the city and the sea. Our guide Stephanie was witty and knowledgeable and took great care of us. Everyone on our tour had some bike experience and that made a difference on our tour. 90% of the tour is on pathways or the bike lane, but there were a couple of tricky streets to Cross so my omly suggestion is make sure you are comfortable riding with a little bit of traffic. Thanks Athens by bike for a great time
We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to see areas of Athens on a bike. Rena was a fun guide who brought humor and energy to our bike tour. The e-Bikes were very well maintained and Rena made sure our safety was a priority as we navigated the streets of Athens and headed to the beach. She offered plenty of breaks and lots of fun facts about life in Greece. I highly recommend this tour and make sure you have Rena as your guide.
I did the bike tour with a very kind and knowledgeable tour guide, Sophia, and it was really an enjoyable bike tour for me. I have done many bike tours before in different cities around the world such as Bangkok, Melbourne and Zurich and this tour in Athens stands out and it was one of the best bike tours I've had! I definitely recommend this tour if you like to get first hand close-up view of Athens!!
We had a wonderful experience with Rena…great trip!!! Beautiful site and swimming at the end!! We even Greek pies!!!
Nice and cruisey bike ride from the city to the ocean. We liked that we weren’t on any main roads once out of the city. Once at the sea we had free time to swim or grab a bite at the cafe. Our guide Alex was great fun, lots of laughs and chats along the way. I think he’s worthy of having a bike named after him ;)
What an amazing way to see Athens! The ride was smooth and safe. Our tour guide Costas was amazing!, he explained different parts of the city and even provided a long list of suggestions for restaurants and things to do in Athens. We really enjoyed his company and knowledge. We definitely recommend this tour to anyone!! Because it’s the best way to see the city, while doing something outdoors and being active!
A great way to discover Athens. You get to know not only the typical tourist places, but also a nice insight to other quarters of Athens away from the city center. We cycled safely on cycle paths and pedestrian areas all the way out to the city‘s lovely beaches. Physically it was not challenging because of the e-bikes provided for the tour. We were lucky to be the only guests that day so we had we you might call a private tour. We were also lucky to have Aggelos as our guide. He turned out to be extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his city and he patiently answered all our questions about greek culture, politics, history … . His english was excellent and so over all he was a very pleasant companion. We would recommend this tour for those who want to discover Athens off the beaten track.
The route was amazing, very safe & scenic! The bikes were fantastic, as much or as Little assist as you like. and our guide Kostas was engaging, patient, and completely knowledgeable about our ride. Had plenty of time for photos and water. Lovely stop for a local snack. Cannot recommend highly enough
A great ride through the old city then outer Athens down to the marina and beach in a perfect sunlit morning. Kostas our guide was great company and very informative, and the pastry shop along the way was extraordinary. Great bikes too: a much cooler way to get around than traipsing through the sun. Highly recommend this tour as a way of seeing more than the usual sites.
Our tour guide was Stephanie! She was kind and friendly! We had so much fun riding together and she explained us the city of Athens very nicely, and riding bike kept our kids occupied the whole time! Can’t wait for the next visit!
We did bike city tour and sea. If was great. Bikes were in great condition , was about to ask questions before we arrived in Athens, easy to find. Would do it again.
We had the best tour with Marios- would highly recommend!! Marios was very informative and personable with a genuine demeanour, which made our bike tour even more enjoyable 😊👍
We had such an amazing time with the guide Cristina! She took really good care of us and explained a lot along the way. The tour was really pleasant and the bikes of very good quality. This tour is a great way to explore and experience the city while also seeing the sea side. Absolutely recommend it.
Cannot express fully how good this bike tour was. If you're even considering it, book it. Friendly welcome at the office. Bit tricky to find it, so look it up, to be sure. Our group had 3 members. E bikes explained clearly, but if you want to actually cycle, no need to use the motor. Tour would be suitable for anyone of all fitness levels, as long as you can ride a bike ! Kostas our guide, had lots of interesting information to pass on. He explained the route and we felt very safe at the few crossings we came across. The 4 and a half hours went by so quickly. Thanks Kostas for a very memorable and enjoyable day out.
The bike tour was amazing and our tour guide, Kleanthis, was fantastic, probably the best we ve ever had. Once familiarized with our e-bikes, we were expertly guided through Athens stopping at some key history spots for photos and a brief explanation. The route to the sea was flat and safe with interesting stops and explanations along the way. When at the sea we had time to swim, enjoy a beverage and the scenery. The bikes worked well and were easy and comfortable to ride. The pies we had on the return were delicious. This tour was a highlight for us. You will really enjoy it!
Our guide Jim was very informative and enthusiastic. A great half day trip exploring parts of Athens outside the city centre. It was great to see the locals out and about at the National Library Complex and on the beaches. Highly recommended as a break from walking the marble streets of Plaka.
Dimitris was top, bikes were ebikes which made the experience smooth & restful, beach visit was refreshing
We went on this tour earlier today and it was fantastic! As other reviewers have mentioned, it takes you past the main city highlights and then out to the suburbs and the coast which are much less crowded and chaotic! Dimitris was without doubt the best guide I’ve had on any tour, ever! Friendly, charismatic, knowledgeable and really kind - I was quite nervous as I’m not a regular cyclist but he put me at ease. Thank you!
Dimitris was our guide and what a fantastic guide he was too, funny, charasmatic, interesting and knowledgeable. It was a small group, really friendly and we were taken round a variety of historic sights which ended at the beach. On the way back we stopped at a bakery and sampled some delicious savoury food and sweet pastries (explained to us as a 'fuel stop' by Dimitris). Bikes I couldn't fault. I am a keen cyclist and regular spinner and was expecting these bikes to be maintained to a mediocre level. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth they all were, clearly very well looked after. I personally didn't need the assist as it was not a difficult cycle but you have the option of adding an electrical assist from 1-5 so this tour caters for all levels, there was one 79 year old on the tour and he managed fine and my wife is not a confident cyclist and she did too. Dimitris always ensured he kept the whole group together and included regular stops. Please don't let a lack of fitness or cycling put you off this tour. Thank you Dimitris for a fantastic day out.
Brilliant tour got to know abt many greek recipes and hidden spots which are missed by tourists.also the view of ride is emaculate .Specially the Rivera and the suburbs.Tour operator Rena showed and told history of Athens and many spots with uttermost interest and cleared all my questions. Also the condition of e-bike was awesome.
Karolis was the perfect guide. A combination of professionalism, efficiency and humour strikes the perfect balance for a relaxed, informative and safe tour. Bikes were in perfect condition, fully charged and easy to operate. The route was pan flat with a little negotiating of rough road surfaces, but in general it was good cycle lanes. Karolis blocked the roads when he sensed any risk and guided us to a beautiful beach with a great bar and snacks for midway. On the way back we had paid for snacks again, which came at the perfect time to recharge plus for the short ride back to the shop. All in all it was perfect. Easy to ride, very little effort due to the e bikes and a fantastic guide. Well worth the 4 or 5 hrs.
We had a fabulous e-bike tour thanks to our fun, interesting and knowledgeable guide Karolis. He really showed us the heart of Athens by navigating us through historical sites, busy streets, and tranquil dedicated bike paths, sharing Greek facts and stories along the way. The highlight was cycling by the yachts at the Port as well as the gorgeous seaside, where we stopped for a break at the beach! Such a great day!
Stephanie, the guide was terrific from start to finish. Enthusiastic greeting, clear instructions, nice pace to the ride, treats along the way!! We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a little broader view of the Athens metro and sea access. Fun, great ride!
A great tour of the city with lots of interesting facts and information from our tour guide K. The electric bikes make it super easy to get around. A nice stop at the end for pies too. Even found a vegan one for my wife. A great way to start our holiday as it helped us find lots of great places to visit and helped us find our bearings. Would highly recommend!
We had a lovely ride with our informative and friendly guide, Kostas. After riding through sections of Athens we wouldn’t have otherwise seen, we had a short visit to the beach and then a stop for a delicious treat on the return journey.
Stephanie was very friendly and welcoming and the trip around Athens was beautiful with a lovely rest by the beach
Lovely bike tour in Athens, stopped by many of the main historical sites in the city and on the seaside, marinas and the beach. Karolis was a great guide, with lots of knowledge about the city and experience with biking. He also gave me a recommendation for a lovely tavern for lunch after the ride. Thank you, this tour was the highlight of my trip.
My husband and I took the City and Sea tour with Karolis and loved it! Karolis is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. You might see Athens streets and think it is a bad idea to ride a bike, but this tour is 90% bike trail. Even when you do encounter traffic, Karolis makes sure you are able to navigate safely. The sites were great, the e-bikes were nice and comfortable. We really had a fun day and there’s a special treat at the end of the ride. Thank you Karolis and Athens by Bike!
It was freezing cold but our guide helped us to stay warm and led a beautiful route down to the sea. It was manly on bike routes and felt really safe. Our guide had a wonderful energy and was really knowledgeable and friendly.
My City and Sea Bike tour in Athens - guided by charming and knowledgeable Kostas Poulopoulos - was a highlight of my Athens trip in December '25! Having observed the city's busy traffic, I was curious how a bike tour would work. So, was delighted to hear that Athens has a cycle lane; while not the best designed bike lane way better than the road and I felt safe. I got a fascinating potted history of Athens' recent past (since the 1970s). We started in Plaka and cycled through former industrial region to the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Centre, reaching a marina with jaw-dropping cruisers (mainly owned by foreigners) and then on to the beaches that make up Athens riviera. Being a sunny day, I couldn't resist going for a swim - gorgeous to swim in December and not feel cold! On the way back, we stopped for a welcome snack (part of the tour). We had really good, traditionally made savoury pies. The E-bikes were great, easy to control and I didn't feel whacked after the appoximate 28km ride. Go for it - a great tour!
We loved our Athens City and Sea bike tour. (October 2025) It was a great way to see Athens city with the benefit of visiting the coast too. We saw and learned a lot along the way. The sort of things only a guided tour can give you. Our tour was enhanced by having such a great tour guide - Dimitris. He was so fun and also extremely knowledgeable. The cycling was easy, the bikes were great, the snack stop was yummy. What more could anyone ask for. We thoroughly recommend this tour. Thanks Dimitris would a wonderful day.
Informative tour of Athens with a knowledgeable, fun tour guide - Dimitris. Went through the main areas of the city. Electric bikes made the ride easy, and fun.
The trip today was amazing - an incredible way to discover the city, including a dip in the sea! We couldn’t have been happier. Karolis was the perfect guide. Great value and highly recommended
Karolis was a great guide and made this a memorable experience!! We felt safe and would highly recommend for all! Great views of the city.
We did the city and sea bike tour with Kostas. Kostas made the day interesting and fun. He took us to great vantage points around the city and explained the history with his funny sense of humour. After we left the city we rode along a bike path to the sea where we had time for a swim before heading back and sharing some classic greek food treats on the way. Definitely a great way to see the sights.
Our guide Stephanie was incredible on our tour of the city to coast. We took a private tour and she knew I had been sick and took great care to make sure the pace and route were comfortable for me. She made sure we were able to stop as much as we wanted for photos and water. She stopped for a coffee break and rest and then on the way back treated us to a Greek breakfast pastry. She speaks 4 languages with perfect English and shared her very interesting background. Stephanie made the tour spectacular and one of our highlights in Greece. The company had great communications and was very responsive after booking and when we requested a change in itineraries. Highly recommend this tour and be sure and ask for Stephanie.
This bike tour with Kostas as our guide was the highlight of our honeymoon trip. Not only did we get a great ride, Kostas provided detailed history on the stops that showed his love of his city, its people, and past. The tour was beautiful at all stops. We even stopped by a local restaurant and had a delicious meal. We would highly recommend this tour knowing you will enjoy Kostas, his fun personality and wit along with the ride and magnificent stops!
