We booked Athens taxi Wagon for our transfer from the airport to our hotel in Athens. He wasn’t just a great driver, he was an ambassador for Athens. We thought we just booked a transfer but we got a history lesson, tour, and a comedy show all thrown in for free. He also provided us with great recommendations for food and what to focus on our time and what we could skip while in Athens. He was hilarious and kept us thoroughly entertained for the duration of the short drive. We enjoyed hanging out with him so much we ended up booking him for drive back to the airport. We actually used the services of the Athens Taxi Wagon on three occasions during our time in Athens. Our driver, Spiros, was outstanding...pleasant, knowledgeable, prompt and fun to talk to. He picked us up at the airport and delivered us to the hotel and then later in our stay took us on a sunset tour of the Temple of Poseidon. We were thrill when he was the driver who arrived to take us to the the port for our cruise. Alexis is a wonderful person to welcome you to Athens and teach you about the city on the way to your hotel. The wagon was clean and comfortable. Honestly, I had booked with him because I was concerned with our luggage being too large for a normal taxi, but that was not an issue once we saw what was available at the airport. Nonetheless, Alexis was a pleasure and we very much enjoyed our trip with him.

We contacted Athens Taxi Wagon because our traveling family of four includes all the typical luggage PLUS a manual wheelchair. We reached out via Whatsapp and response was immediate. Within a few minutes we were confirmed for a pickup the next morning. Our driver, Alex, arrived fifteen minutes early and helped us Tetris-pack our luggage into the back before ensuring everyone was buckled in for safety. The e-class was very comfortable and quiet, well-insulated from road noise. Alex kindly shared a tour guide - like experience on our journey to the airport, discussing local foods, landmarks, and historical sites/events. Great experience from even before we met yup with Alex - sent a WhatsApp message before collecting luggage at airport saying where he would meet us. Met with no drama in a very chaotic Athens airport. The car was spotless and Alex very knowledgable and Entertaining. Gave us recommendations of restaurants and places to go. Highest possible recommendation for Athens Taxi Wagon's service! Alexis' responses to email inquiries were fast and detailed. Our driver, Gregory (Graig) was the best. He picked us up in a lovely Mercedes van at Athens Airport and drove us to the Marriott Hotel downtown. Just what we needed after a long, trans-Atlantic flight and a 2 hour wait (argh!) at ATH Immigration. Communications via WhatsApp were seamless. We had also booked a ride from the Marriott to the Piraeus Dock to meet our Viking Cruise Ship two days later and requested (and received) Gregory again. His English is far, far better than our Greek and is incredibly helpful, informative and cordial. This was a much better experience than we would have had, had we used public Taxi services. What a great experience! Everything from booking the service, clarity of price, confirmation and pick up! Great customer service and fast communication with Athens Taxi Wagon. They let us down. After an all night flight. No one was there for us. The dispatcher at the phone number provided said they had no reservation for us although we provided the TA booking reference. I’d avoid this company. This has never happened to us in many years of travel.

I booked the ride for September 10, and somebody amended it to September 7 without my knowledge, leaving the poor driver waiting at the airport 3 days before he should. I understand now that there is a taxi strike on September 10. The transfer company has been very understanding and helpful. It's not their fault. I am now out of pocket for the amended booking. See attached photo showing "amended " in green text. Alexis and his drivers were excellent for all journeys we had with them. It is TripAdvisor that I have the problem.

George was our driver and he was very patient waiting for us despite our flight being a bit delayed, waiting for luggage that never came, and then having to work through the lost baggage process. He was awesome! He also picked us up from our hotel and brought us back to the airport - very clean and comfortable car, George spoke excellent English and pointed out various points of interest along the way. We also used Athens taxi wagon for airport transfers in 2024 and it was excellent as well. highly recommend. 65 euro each way.

It was our first time booking with Athens Taxi Wagon Service. The service was great from booking our reservation to being picked up and arriving to our destination. Alexis responds back right away to my questions and inquires which gave me a confident feeling that I chose the right transportation service. We used this service twice on our trip. They were on time in fact George was already at the airport waiting for us and holding a sign with my name. Both drivers Alexis and George were welcoming and friendly.

In July, We took a family of 7 (adult children and spouses) to Athens for a brief stay in Athens followed by a 7 day cruise. We had three services from this transportation company. 1. Airport transportation to Athens City center. 2. Direct transport from city center to the port. 3. Half day driver rental from port back to airport. We had three different drivers. All punctual, outgoing and conversant in English. I admit I had some mild reservations about the pickup in the airport. I texted Alexis and he alleviated my fears and said you will walk out the “doors” and you will see a driver with your last name. I also note that our driver texted while we were in the air from LAX introducing himself with procedures for pickup. It went flawlessly. As promised, we arrived and walked through the doors and met our driver and 10person Mercedes van. The van was easily able to accommodate our 12 pieces of luggage. The rest went equally as well. Each time the drivers communicated with me directly after the booking. Our last day in Athens after we returned from the cruise we had about 5 hours to tour the city with our local driver who made excellent recommendation for local beaches and waterways and a good place to eat lunch. I recommend this company without any reservations to my friends and family. Athens taxi wagons underpromised and over delivered and was a critical part of our successful holiday. Doing all this with reasonable prices and wonderful customer service. Thank you Alexis for your coordination and patience.

This is the taxi service you want. They are very responsive through WhatsApp making scheduling, pricing, and confirmation very easy and reassuring. The driver was there on time for our arrival (flight was delayed) waiting with a sign. And the same driver picked us up in a very busy spot in Athens right near the Acropolis Museum. No problem getting all four of us (parents and grown children) with all of our luggage (larger check in, 3 carry on suitcases, and backpacks) into the Mercedes Wagon. I sat up front. Driving in Athens is tricky. Always felt safe in the vehicle. Very professional driver. I will absolutely use Athens Taxi Wagon again when we return to Athens.

The folks at Athens Taxi Wagon were helpful and friendly both before and during our trip to Athens. Alexis helped us book a last minute transfer after our travel plans unexpectedly changed and a Taxi strike was occurring. He even called to address our concerns. On the day of the transfer Gregory was waiting with carts for us despite our flight being an hour late and our bags taking a while to unload. Gregory helped with our baggage and was a good driver as he transported us safely to our hotel. We would definitely book again if we’re in the area.

The driver was waiting for us and was very knowledgeable of the city. He gave us a lot of info and tips during the drive. Everything was fast and super convenient. Not giving the 5 stars has nothing to do with our transfer experience or the driver. I was charged more than I would have liked. We originally agreed on 65 euros with a wagon but because of the taxi strike, it was upgraded to a minivan at a higher cost. I was able to negotiate it down but it was still higher than the original quote. I decided to keep reservation because I didn’t know if there would be any other alternatives because of the strike. I would have hoped the company wouldu have honored the original quote. If they did, I would have given them 5 stars.

Following the excellent reviews on TA we decided to contact Athens Taxi Wagon, Communication was really easy and any question was always answered. Mr. Alexis seems to be a good person and he provided additional information and even good suggestions. We finally decided to book 3 separate transfers (Airport to Hotel, Hotel to Port and back). I got information the day before of the name of the driver and licence plate of the car. All the drivers communicated with me via Whatsapp, before the scheduled transfer time. At the airport, the driver waited for us and took us outside, just a short walk and we waited in a place where he could bring his car. The cars used by this company are station wagons, which carry 4 people plus the usual luggage. This is, in my opinion, the key to providing better prices than the competition, because others would need to offer an 8 seater van, even for 4 people, which is more expensive. Of course, at the end, the price is not everything and the good reviews reflect the good work of the persons. Mr. Alexis, who answered my endless questions and the drivers, Mr. Giannis and Mr. George were punctual, professional and presented themselves well. We don't hesitate to recommend their services.
